How I Achieved Pillow Soft Curls | Refresh & Revive Curly Bob Wowafrican

What'S up beauties, it's Lindsey welcome back to my channel. We sure did change the backdrop again. I hope you guys like it, but today I'm going to show you guys how to refresh and revive your curls. So if you do have a curly wig, that's just not hit and like it should. You know the curls aren't pillow-soft fluffy the curls aren't defined or anything like that. I'M gon na show you guys how to do that today with this curly unit. So we are starting off with our hair, just slicked down into a low bun. This is normally what I do if I don't do like a braid or the stocking cap method or whatever. So that's how we're starting our hair off and the unit we're wearing today is from WoW african y'all know. I love me. Some wild African I've got everything linked in the description box below inside. You will get two weight. Caps. You'Ve also got a drawstring satin bag to store your unit. Elsa threw in a rat tail comb, and this is the unit. So, as you can see, the curls are not bad. You know it's not it's fresh out the box, so I don't expect it to be super duper perfect, but they could definitely use some work. You can see the parting here, which is really nice does have bleach knots inside the cap. You do get three combs up top as well as one in the back with the adjustable straps, so I'm just gon na pop this wig on, so you guys can see what it's looking like right now. As I said, it's like it wants to be great, but it's just not there. Yet it's missing the mark, so we're gon na make it fluffy bouncy everything that you need we're gon na. Do that alright! So first, I'm just gon na take my scissors and cut the lace off around the hairline, and this is what the hairline is looking like right after I cut it so before we get into styling gon na, go in and shampoo and condition the unit. So I'm just using Aussie miracle curls today, I'm not gon na lie the ad sold me like the little commercial you've heard it with the girl. She had the audition. She got the part because her hair was looking good. I just thought it was so cute and I was like you know what let me try this. It was a cute ad. I think this is the first time an ad actually made me buy something but yeah. So I got those from Target and I just went to go wash the unit, and this is what it's looking like on my head right now. I actually really did like the shampoo and conditioner. I feel like not that much comes in the bottle, though so, if they had bigger bottles, that would be nice, especially girls with curls. I feel like we go through conditioner like it's nothing yeah. I think they need bigger bottles, but I did like the product itself. So this is what the hair is. Looking like, fresh out of the washing in the sink yeah and, as you can see, the curls actually look pretty good. So I'm first going in with my Carol's Daughter, leaving conditioner I actually like the black vanilla one more than this one. I don't even. I think this is like an almond, something I'm not really sure, but I don't really like the smell of it. I'M not gon na lie, but I do love their black vanilla ones. So if you need it, leave-in conditioner, I like the black vanilla spray, so I just sprayed all over the unit, and then I took my Denman brush and just brushed through the hair. This hair didn't really have any tangle. It'S not gon na lie and it's a short bob. So it's like not a lot of hair that we're working with, but I did like using that to kind of get everything where I wanted it to be, and all the curls to be bouncy into their full potential, all right. So next going all around the hair. I'M just gon na take my hand and scrunch the curls. If you do have curly hair. You are familiar with this method of what I am doing so yeah, I'm just going all the way around and scrunching it before we start drying the unit. Now I feel so bad because I did this at like two o'clock in the morning and Lee was asleep and this blow dryer is so loud. I just got it. I didn't think it was gon na be this loud, but it is so after I finished scrunching the hair. I took my infinity Pro because I needed a blow dryer that had a diffuser. I did not have a diffuser, so I got this one from Target and I did not realize how loud it is. So if you like, quiet dryers, you're, not gon na like this one, but I like how quick it dries, it actually does have a very quick dry. I like the settings and everything it's just really loud, so I did go a bit back and forth between diffusing the hair and letting it air dry and, as you can see, the curls are already looking very pillowy and soft and more defined than they were when They got out of the box and I really wasn't dealing with that much frizz, but I just had to try this product. I'Ve heard so much about it. I know it's not new, but you guys know I'm always late on the haircare products, but this stuff smells so good and I started just using a little bit. I was like. Oh, we don't need that much, but it just smells so good. So I felt like I needed more. I love that stuff, the blueberry bliss. I got that one from Target as well. I just feel like that stuff changed the game. I got the hair oil too, I'm about to use that on my own scalp. But yes, I love that scent. I also did go through and trim some pieces of the hair, not a lot. I didn't recut the whole bob, but just a few straggling pieces that I felt like they could go. I did trim those and I think it looks really good.
