Okay, I have never had my hair professionally colored in my whole life, but today we are doing a major change and I'm taking you guys with me: let's go, let's go so this is our before I was at the salon for almost six hours because, like I Said we are doing an Extreme Makeover, Thrift tradition, of course, Freddy, was by my side. Cheering me on the entire time my little angel, I had such a specific vision for this new hair transformation and yeah. I'Ve never had my hair professionally dyed by anyone outside of me and a box in my bathroom. So this was honestly a very special moment. I actually loved how this was looking with the blonde streaks very Lindsay Lohan Freaky Friday, but we took it a step further and added the red and guys, like literally when I tell you, I screamed out loud when she blew dry hair. Like look at this literally. What literally one to the one to the one? This is exactly what I wanted, I'm so obsessed.

Mandy Heart: Comments about for that made me like . Stylists/colorists, please chime in! • Wasn’t the first single process (permanent) color unnecessary? Esp since she then lifted that color right out in the foils… • Foiled highlights were far from the root… and did they need to be lifted that light when the final color was going to be red? • Couldn’t this whole thing have been done as: first, less-bright highlights followed by the red (Demi permanent?) color - Reducing damage by nixing that first dark color process and then less intense highlight lifting. (Her hair began fairly dark, so I can’t see how that first process did much of anything if the response might be “it was to make the overall base color deeper”. Also, I def didn’t see any kind of shadow root or smudge or anything to break up the harsh “inch away from the scalp” highlights, which resulted in obvious harsh distinction between the deeper red “gap” shade, and the lighter red highlighted sections. Let me know your thoughts!
