Subtle Purple Highlights On Dark Hair| Fake Scalp Swiss Lace Bob Wig

Hi everyone, i hope your week is going well. I'M excited because this week is all about customization. Today, i'm going to show you how to color your wig, give it some beautiful color without doing too much this wig today, i'm working with is a swiss lace. Wig. It is a natural hair, color um, so whenever i'm coloring wigs, i make sure that the hair that i'm working with is one good quality and two is natural color. So this wig does come from pretty luxe hair. I will be sure to put the links below it. Comes with a natural pre-plucked hairline, slightly bleached knots and, like i said again, it comes with that swiss lace. Now, when coloring, you want to make sure that you don't get any of that color on the lace because it will stain it, but today i'm only adding a few highlights around the hair. So it's not going to bother it now. The cap construction for this wig is a 13 by 6 lace wig. So you get lots of parting space. You can wear with glue or without glue and, like i said it has that fake scalp, now pretty luxe hair does sell that face scalp material. If you're. Now the sections that i'm separating are the areas where i'm going to add the color to now when working with hair color, it's very important to take your time. This is not a fast process, but it wasn't a difficult process. So i'm just section away parts of the hair and i absolutely love the hair on this wig. This is a bob cut and i feel like this hair is, has such a beautiful brownish tone to it, and this is the color that i like right here when it comes to my wigs that i feel like looks the most natural on me throughout this video. I'M going to be dropping some major tips, that's very helpful, the first one being how to lighten your hair extensions very easily. So, for years, if you've been using the powder with the developer, mixing in a bowl just stop this kit right here is the garnier maximum lightening cream kit, and let me just tell you this is an easy way to lighten your hair extensions. There'S, no mess! You mix up all the products according to the instructions inside of this bottle, you shake it up and you apply it straight to the hair. Now. The one thing i do love about this is that it spreads throughout the hair very evenly. There'S no clumpiness, there's no um areas that don't get the product like when you are mixing it in a bowl and not to mention. I would rather squirt it onto the hair than scoop it out. The bowl. It just makes sense. Okay, so i'm applying this to the sections of the hair that i want to add the color, the reason being, if you've, never colored hair before you need to lighten up the hair before you deposit, any hair color. So with this kit, it will not take the hair to that platinum blonde unless you do it several times, but it will lighten the hair. So look at the natural color on this hair, it's so beautiful. Like i said, you want to make sure that when you are lightening or coloring hair extensions that they have not been previously dyed or altered in any way if the hair has been, you know, colored blonde, it's okay to deposit color onto the hair to be fine, But if the hair has been colored black previously, it won't take okay. So i just want you guys to know that now i did let this sit on the hair for about 20. Maybe 30 minutes. You will need to do it again after you rinse, in order to lighten it up. Some more this product can lift the hair up to eight levels, so it says, however, it's not going to do it in one session. You have to redo it several times. If you are trying to reach that platinum, blonde, look, okay, so this is the color i ended up with after two tries. I just didn't want to go any lighter than this, because the colors i'm using um, i didn't want it to be so intense. I wanted my color to be very subtle, so if you're going to work, you can wear it there or if you're going to a party it'll still be very nice, so it is everyday color, okay, so i'm just drawing the hair before i apply the color over Top because it says to do that once i have the hair at least 95 dry, i'm adding the color on top of the areas that i lighten. So you want to make sure you really apply this product use the whole bottle. If you have to, because you want every strand of hair to be touched with this color, if not, you will have sections of hair or parts of the hair that will still be this blondish color, so make sure you are saturating that product all over the hair. Let me just go ahead and put my little disclaimer here, because i know someone probably is going to find an imperfection in the coloring process that i'm doing um. I am not saying that i'm a professional, a hair color. I actually feel like i'm bad at hair. Color, however, i've always wanted to learn how to do my own custom colors to my wigs, so i'm going to be practicing and when i practice i'm going to show it on my channel if it turns out pretty well and for this i do feel like it Turned out really good, i originally wanted the color to be more intense, but that didn't happen, but i do feel like for what it's worth it turned out pretty decent. So that's why i'm sharing it in today's video? So if you are a beginner, you can do this because i'm not a pro at this at all. So before i blow dry the hair and apply it, i'm going to add some foundation powder to the lace, so i just want to make sure everything matches my scalp color before i apply now. The hair quality on this wig is beautiful. I feel like even after the bleach, even after coloring, the hair still is good. Okay, as you can see, it has shine, it just looks good and nice and healthy so make sure you're coloring a wig that has quality hair so that you can get the best results all right. So now let's apply it and i absolutely think purple is a color that i can wear every day. If i wanted to all right, let's analyze this hair color a bit as you can see, i did cover every strand, so there's no blonde spots left. I do notice it is a slight bit burgundy, looking just a tad bit, but overall i like the way it turned out. So i went on and applied my wig um to my head and i have it tied down. This is probably one of my favorite colors that i've done, because i remember a long time ago i tried to do this color and it just didn't even turn out right. This week and yeah we're going to finish this up by setting the curls with some hairspray, so i'm just adding some hairspray, so i can get a longer hold. However, this wig, i can tell holds the curl very, very well, i'm going to do a side parting for today, and i just love how that parting look like it's so natural with that cap. I did take the face scalp out of there, however, like i said pretty, luxe hair does sell the fake scalp material.
