How To Turn Your Closure Wig Into A U-Part Wig - I Hate Closures

turning my closure wig into a upart wig / thin-part wig for a more natural look

Hey everyone, I'm solely in today's video, it's gon na, be about how I turn a regular weight with a closure into a you part ways like the one that I'm wearing now somewhere in the video. I will insert a picture of the original wig in the way it looked. I don't think to record me wearing the wig before I actually did everything to it, but um yeah. Basically, I'm doing this because I really want something done to my hair and I don't really have a whole bunch of extra money right now, so you get my hair done. A lot of you are probably thinking. Why didn't I just put the way boy. Obviously, the reason for that is, I'm just not a weak person and I've come to find that out. Well, nothing, I'm not a weak person, because I do wear wigs. Just the whole closure thing. It'S not for me. I just don't know how to make them look natural. I don't know how to I just don't know how to do it. Like I've tried my best and try plugging plucking, wigs and stuff. I'Ve tried tint to me and bleaching my eyes. I just can't get behind the whole closure thing, so I'll probably have to end up going to a professional. If I ever won a closure done, but yeah moral of the story is, I didn't want to wear a wig with the closure, I'm winning my hair day. I didn't have a lot of extra money and I had this week this old way just laying around so I decided to try this out. As you can see, it worked out pretty well, it was really easy, but anyway, without further ado, here is how I created it. This way, I'm just starting off with this regular wig that I have it has a closure pretty basic yeah. This is how it looks so I'm gon na show y'all what to do. What you're gon na need to start off with is a part that you've already kind of plucked, so this is kind of where I was wearing apart whenever I was wearing this wig with the closure. So, as you can see, it's already pretty plucked manipulated all that good stuff and the reason you want to do that is because cutting in an area that's already plucked is gon na kind of cut down on its gon na cut down on the mouth hair that You'Re gon na lose so I'm gon na true, so this is step one so for right now. This is what I have so. The next step after this is gon na be to steal, use a web sealer and basically go along these lines here and the reason for that is just to avoid any excess shedding. That could possibly happen from us cutting disclosure up it's completely optional, but personally I will go ahead and do that and I am gon na go ahead and do that so I'll be right back. Okay! So now the lips are sealed. I'M gon na go ahead and sell some clips on and that'll be the last step. I'M gon na sew on quite a few. I'M gon na sell one here. I'M gon na sell one here here and then maybe one in the back and then I will show you all the finished product and how it looks on my head all right. So here are the three clips. I so don't ask I'm just trying to wait inside out, so y'all can see, but yeah but yeah. It'S nothing fancy I did one here and then I did one on each side. Yeah and you can do it too. However, your liking is, I would recommend, maybe even putting two on each side when it comes to the hairline or maybe winning the back. Only reason I didn't go crazy with so in the clips one. This time is because I have a strong feeling that I'm gon na end up just sewing this to my head anyway, just because I I know I'm not gon na feel like manipulating it every day and taking it on and off, but yeah. So this is the finished product and I will show y'all what it looks like after I put it alright y'all. So here I am you alright shop, so here I am after installing, the? U part, this is just what it looks like yeah. So this is pretty much the finished product after I put the leak, I'm not the best braider, so it's not laying as flat as it probably could. As you all know - and this is my first time doing this, so a couple things I do want to point out - I was originally gon na wear this hair straight out straight away before I actually did everything to it put it on, but I guess because of The closure or the clips, or something or maybe it's, because the fact that I can't breathe very well, but this part right here it does not lay as flat as they normally would or its play as I would like it. So if you're gon na do this and you're someone like me, who's, not very good at braiding, I would not go for a straight hair style, or else this part is gon na, be like it's more noticeable being on me. If you have straight hair and your hair isn't laying flat, so I ended up doing some of my you know, curls with my bubble wand. That John saw me do in my previous video, I'm they're, not as big as those because this hair was straight before I started curling it but yeah when they're done curled it and then I brushed it out so get more of like a voluminous weight. You look because, like I said this part is just not laying very flat, so I figured that if I made me hair bigger, it would kind of hide the fact that it was a lamp like give it up me. But aside from that, that's the only issue that I'm having with so yeah whatever I mean y'all tried it at this point. I really just wanted something done to my hair. It'S around the holidays. It is as y'all know if you've ever had to buy gifts for anyone or if you have kids or whatever you had to buy gifts for yeah. I get probably broke around this time, so I just needed to do some of this in my hair. I didn't really necessarily have a whole bunch of extra going to get my hair done, so I just thought of trying this out and honestly, I'm probably gon na end up going ahead and slow it down to my head and having it like that, because these clips Are you know my nerves, they hurt kind of, but yeah other than that? This is how it turned out. It was a trial of something new and if I figure out a better or a more updated way to do this, I will let y'all know make another video, but until then give me a like if you like this video, if you try this out, let me Know how it works for you and if you have any questions as always, you can go ahead and leave them in the comment section. Thank you all for watching and I hope you guys have a great day.

Tiana Reese: This is exactly why I'm here! Those frontals & closures ain't for everybody lol I suck at 'em

CaliGirl919 SD: I truly thought I was the only one that couldn't make a wig look natural. I too have cut my wigs open. Great job!

jesse94jrho: I use this method from time to time! I'd reccomend putting maybe more clips at the top to make it lay flatter and have more security looks great!

niariya: I use this method for ALL my wigs !!! I’ve never been a closure person , I make anchor braids and I sew mine in!!thanks for sharing love ! It’s beautiful

ml: To tell you the truth sis, as good as it looks on instagram you can still tell in person! Thanks for this!

Ada67: The reason it didn’t lay flat is because you just cut straight through the lace. If you would’ve formed a more U shape with the part it would’ve laid flatter.

Lauren Goldwin: Girlllll you gave me a great idea for my annoying lace front wig !!!! I like u parts . I like showing some of my hair to make it look more natural

Perfection, NV: Girl! This is just what I needed. I was Searching how to make a u part with a smaller part like the "thin part wigs" that are over priced. I have thin fine hair so a traditional u part just wouldn't work.

P X: Gorgeous! You SLAYED unit. Your natural hair is breathtaking

Ashley: omg it look so much better no offense but before it looked wiggy and fake now it looks like it could be your real hair

Felicia Cat: Ok so I did this and it has literally changed my life. I really wanted one of those innovative weave wigs but they said 60 day wait! Hell nah so I found your video and it was so easy to do I hate closures too!!

Rachelle Ross: Great idea, you are very resourceful. I like a more natural look too. Lace Fronts are great but not for everyone. I've ruined a few during this pandemic with over plucking the part lines and cutting too much lace off to get the right look. :( This is a good option, and $$$ saver. Keep posting!! Thank you for sharing :)

Alana DelReina: This was so helpful! I straightened my natural hair last night and tried to straighten my curly hair clip in extensions too but they didn’t get that straight, so I thought of possibly turning my straight closure wig into a u-part

Leauna Lyle: Girl!! You hit this right on the nose! Thank you for thinking outside of the box. You had the right answer. Thank you!

Jewelz.A: Omg I was about to spend 600 on that thin part wig. Guess I don’t need to now

serenebrownie: Beautiful sis ! I agree like I’m so over frontals and closures I cannot do it to save my own life lol I need to try this asap xx

Andriene Longmore: Ok girl! I neeeeeded this! I was just mad that I spent money on a closure wig but now I can wear it without it looking wiggy!!!

Lauren Curry: Thank you soo much for this. I’m trying to save some money and I can’t make this look like it’s growing out of my head. I am so excited!!!!!

Rich Tresses: Girl it turned out super cute. I love how natural and full it is

Latifa Abdul: Thank you so much for making this video because I really appreciated it . It came to me that I cannot stand my closure and I was looking for a video the could explain to me what I should do and you did that so simply so thank you again. And by the way I like how your hair came out I was not focus on your hair I was more focused on the presentation. Gj

Francess Koroma: It looks so natural, you made it look like it your own hair. Thank you for this video I was looking if it has been done before anD this really help me to do the same with my wig.

VEE HODGES: I actually love this, I cut my wigs too

Nadir Conceição: Ficou perfeita do jeito qui vou fazer na minha wig up

HeyItsJose: This is genius! I’m gonna try this

Xoxo Jj88: I cut my closure every time lol good thing about cutting your closure you use less leave out

HeavenKnows: Love this idea bout to turn all my wigs into uparts because no matter what I do the closure never looks natural

space cowboy: Well done, it looks great! going to try doing this! wish me luck haha

Morgan Alicia: This looks really nice!!

Sabrina Thomas: I love this idea my frontals usually look so bad I just cut bangs into my wigs

alia dan: beautiful...great job

Taylor Ferguson: You did a great job!

The Realest Jaee: looks good sis!!

Karena Benoit: You look so good!!!

Cherrisse Porter: Love it!

mika315: You did that!!! Do you remember where you got this unit from??

Just Pinky: If you would have cut a u part out of the lace closure then it would have laid more flat because you made your wig 1 or 2 more inches wider so its not going to fit your head snug if that makes sense

Honey M: Looks GREAT!!

Mylasia Hardy: Yessss it looks soo good mami

Pink Peony: It looks beautiful

Hannah Sutherland: I have been contemplating if I should get a “Thin Part Wig.” Then thank God I saw a comment about cutting lace now here I am. Thank you

DINO king the real CHANNEL: Make sure your anchor braids are super thin trust me it will lay flat. Great job!

Kamilah L: This is amazing! So smart!

Amber Skye: I hate closures too yet i keep trying it! Now i buy them for this purpose only lol it lays so much better

AMARACHI PEARL: Very nice, where did you get your hair from?

bethany Chapman: I feel u sis with closure and frontal I been getting sew ins since I was 10 and I got a closure sew in for prom I took it down within a week it was just to much

EBONEY AMYRAA: You look great sis , lol because I don’t want lace either

IG billiebaybe: Looks so natural

Carti Luvs2parti: Girl thanks I needed this

Leauna Lyle: What product did you use to seal it after you cut it?

Sabrina Sincerely: Yasss Queen

ti. ha: so good , i like it

Jackie Chavarria: Sooo I recently just fucked up my hair hence the wigs and have no clue what I’m doing...clearly lmao so I came across the idea of cutting it into a U and my friend said I can do it so here I am researching

Mer A.L: Where's the hair from..it's beautiful!!

Maria Whitlock: What did you use to seal the closure?

Jasmine Gable: I"m new to wearing wigs I bought a kinky curly wig 20in and I dint like the "wig" look I"m looking to change my wig into a u-part wig

hailie's bong:

Nadir Conceição: Massa tradução demorou youtube

Mallory Pallory: Girl same I just ruined a curly full lace wig I’m gonna turn it into a upart and call it a day

Ms Buttercup: What unit is that?

Neka: Could u do this with a 6x6 closure wig?

beautiful butterfly: Yess I just started doing the same thing

Sarah Dukes: Where did you purchase this wig?

MyOwn DayOne: Great idea

Michelle Mommy: Me too! Omg love you

Willow Loe: YESSSSSS

Cee c C: I think it looks great. You say it doesn't lay flat. It's definitely ok! I hate those lace wigs and frontals too. No matter what is done to the ones with parts, it never looks natural in the sun light or in the light. Make up on the part doesn't look natural! Baby hairs look stupid. U parts or some leave out makes a big difference. It looks the most natural. I cant wait until the glue lace fad passes!

desi_black girl: You not alone I had a old human hair closer wig and the damn thing was too tight so I turned that ho into a u part wig ...I ain't got time for that

Angel H: Smart method

Laniece Mcfall: Thnks

Enigma: Ooooh ashy lmaoo

Monica Joynet: Yes I didn't think to do that I have old human wigs I'm try that thank y
