4X4 Closure Wig Install | Beginner Friendly

If you care period, as you can tell by the title today, i'm going to be installing a 4x4 pink lace, closure wig. This will be my first install ever on myself. I was very nervous while filming this video okay. So here she is my crusty wig. This wig was read before i have taken the color out as much as i can. I used three boxes of baking soda and two waters of shampoo. In total, this wig is still alive, still fluffy um. I did try to dye it and it filled. I thought i wasn't going to be able to make this video, so here i am trying again for you guys i am taking two bottles of a door die. I'M going to add this to my hot water. I'M going to add this in and i'm going to mix this up really well, so all the dye can distribute to the wig evenly. I won't have too many spots before this. I did use a darker color and i didn't like how the color was. It was too dark for me. I wanted a more like nicki minaj kind of pink, lighter pink, so i got the cotton candy, as you can see here, i'm just dipping in the wig i'm trying to make sure all the colors on each strand coat it. Well. I use uh about the whole bottle of dye the whole two bottles of dye. I left a little bit you're gon na see what i'm gon na do at the top for the top of my hair okay, so you want to start with some clean hair. My hair is not freshly washed, but it is clean um. You want to just part your hair into sections and put about 10 to 12 small braids, going straight back like trick daddy, braids and back your head. I couldn't do this on camera guys. I didn't know what i was doing. This is my first install so okay so boom, i'm back. I got my braids in this is how the wig looks she's dry. She is alive. I cannot believe this wig is so soft and fluffy. After all that baking soda and shampoo it went through, so you want to take some oil and you want to oil, your scalp. This is very important, so your hair don't be dry under that cap. Listen, i hate going to people to get my hair done and they don't want to get like. So here is my cap. I got this from the beauty supply. This is my lace glue that i'm going to be using today. This is some cheap lace glue. It was about six dollars. I was not paying 20 for no go spawn glue when i didn't know how this wig was going to come out. So i just got some cheap glue, um right here, i'm just taking my gossipy spray, laying back my edges, so it doesn't get in the way of my install and now i look like i'm ready to go rubber bank. I'M gon na put some holes in my mask now you see me cutting the holes in my ears, um. That is very important. I guess it helps. I don't know it's just important. Like i said this is my first install i hear girls say it's important, so it's important, so you just want to take your got. Ta be spray spread around. This is basically melting. Your cap, you getting ready to start the ball cap method, so you take the glacier spray spray on your edges and blow dry. You want to do this back and forth until you get the cap, how you want it um, the more you spray! The longer your cap lasts, so if you're going to have this installing for a long time, you know spray a lot, if not spray a little and keep it moving. Now, i'm going to be cutting the cap off until where i sprayed the got to be glue. This is like, where you want to measure how far and how uh, how low you want your wig to be. I, like my wig kind of on my forehead when i get my hair done, because i have a big forehead and instead of a five head, i would like a forehead. You know so i put my cap kinda on my forehead, so i can place my wig there um. These are some old rusty scissors that i found in my house, so i had to work with what i got right now i am taking some darker makeup. I am taking the darker makeup because i love how arrogant tay does his wigs. He makes the color whiz look. Look like it's growing out of your scalp, like you have new growth, so i decided to take a darken makeup and place that under my wig, so it can look like it's growing out of my hair. I was in love with the ball cap. For my first time, y'all i was looking so bald. Y'All was definitely getting major pain. Now, i'm just taking some rubbing alcohol and cleaning up any makeup or any oil that i have on my skin. So i can lay down my glue. This is what the glue kit came with a brush and a popsicle stick to spread the glue. I am taking my flat iron and combing back any flyaway hairs, any baby hairs that i have out. So when i place the wig on everything just lay back um. I noticed that all my braids was hanging out in the back y'all, so i had to fix that stuff them under the cap. Now i'm just putting in a wig and at this point y'all i was ready to give up. I was tired. This was not coming out right. Y'All, i didn't know like how this was gon na come out. Y'All like i was just so scared, but trust the process trust the process so right now, i'm just brushing it through. So i can just get to installing i'm trying to figure out like where i'm going to place the wig, how it's going to lay so you just play with it until like it fits your head like you just got to play with it. That'S what i learned and it fit perfectly so i'm taking my wax. Stick, i'm going to get like all the fire away hairs. You can see them. They all just start to lay down. This helps with the more sleek. Look. I'M going to take my hot hot, hot, hot comb that just kept burning my damn head for some reason and i'm gon na get these roots black. Like you want the roots flat, you want your wig to lay flat. We don't want no type of helmet here over here like it's, not giving okay. So now i'm taking my lace glue and i'm applying that on my forehead in the beginning of the cap, i'm going to take the popsicle stick to smooth it out. You want a smooth application if it is bumpy. Oh my god, y'all look at the fight in the back. It is a whole fight going down and i didn't even know but anyways you want to take the lace glue. You want to put like three layers or how many layers it depends on how long you're, keeping your wig on once you put the lace glue on you want to take your your rat tail comb and you want to press the lace down into your skin press Down and blow dry press down and blow dry, this helps keep it secured again guys. The wax stick in the hot comb is very important. If you want a flat install, you want a flawless install the hot comb and the wax stick is your best friend. So now i'm taking some bio silk, i'm rubbing it in the hair, so my hair can be nice and silky. This is her straight, but no we're gon na give a whole different. Look. So, for this look we're gon na be doing some barrel curls with our flat iron um. These curls are my favorite. A curling raw could never baby watch how this girl bounced back period. Do you see the bounce back of that curl? The curl is so cute. Yes, yes, yes, yes, i love barrel curls. I will make a more detailed video on how i get these curls. I don't like to use a curling iron. It just doesn't give what it needs to give and boom. Here we have it the nice juicy barrel curls. I am taking my watsu comb and i'm combing it out. I want to go for a mo a more loose wave type of look um, it's getting very much just rolled out of the bed. Looking flawless, you guys. I cannot believe how this install turned out. I was so nervous.
