Beginner Friendly Lace 5X5 Closure Wig Install Tutorial| #Stitchedbystarg Melt Lace W/ Gel Not Glue!

What'S up beauties and welcome back to another beauty, video if you're new here i am sonia and you're tuned in a very long overdue hair video. So you beauties ask me a lot where i get my wigs from give me hair details and i finally decided to make a video, because i got a new wig and i decided this is the best time to sit down with you talk to you all about My wigs, where i get them from and actually show you how i do my hair, so if you're interested in this video, let's get right into these, so first things. First, where do i get my wig? So i usually comment this to you guys when you ask me, but officially all of my wigs are from stitched by star g. You can find her on instagram at stitch by star g and she got her own website as well. Everything will be up on the screen, okay um, but i get all of my wigs from her. So let me tell you a little bit about star. She is a wonderful wonderful, wig maker, wig styler. I actually went to middle school and high school with her we've kind of grown up together, and so it's so good to see this being one of her many talents, because she is a very talented person. So this is just one of her many talents. Okay and she makes wigs so basically any wig that you've seen me in recently is from my girl. Okay, so i know you guys always ask me who makes it who makes it just assume unless i say otherwise, that if sonya is wearing a wig, it's from stitch by star g, okay and the reason why they call her stitch by star g is because she Actually hand sews every wig on a sewing machine. Your wig is gon na be constructed nicely and i'm gon na show you my wig that i got i'm going to show you everything that comes in your box when you do get your wig, but i just wanted to go ahead and let y'all know these are Quality, wigs, which means that you're going to make an investment in this wig, because these wigs are chef's kiss. You guys have seen some of my styles that you remember that you love um, that you always ask me about, and i spend the appropriate amount of money on my wig, because i want my weight to look nice and i want my wig to last a long Time i don't change my hair up that often - and i wear wigs every day unless i have braids, so i need to have quality quality quality honey. This ain't, no amazon, wig maker, you're not going to catch on aliexpress, no shade to anybody who uses those vendors. That'S fine do what you do, but star quality. So, let's get into the wig that i have today. So i held this back up before these are her brand's wig bag. So every wig that you order from her it's going to come in its own individual satin bag that you can hold your wigs in i know, for me, storage is a big thing with my wigs. I don't really ever know where or how to store my wigs. So i love the idea of this bag and especially if you're traveling. This is a good thing to have like, if you're putting your wigs in a suitcase, and you have an actual bag that you can put it in, and the bag is big enough. That you can put two wigs in here because, like my wig is right here you can put a whole nother wig in here and honestly. I'Ve used this badge to travel as like a makeup carrier too, got a little zipper on the front and there's that okay, so before i get into the actual wig, i want to show you the other things that your package is going to come with. So it'll come with some goodies okay, so she gave me. I already know what this is, but i haven't opened it yet. So it's going to come with a bling wig bonnie. Now my girl always sells out of these bling wig bonnie. She has them in a few different colors. I also have it in maroon, and i just think it's so cute, because it's big enough to kind of hold your wig together and then it has these straps on the back, because y'all know bonnie's always like to be across the room after you wake up so That you can actually tie it down and then, of course, if you, you know, run around the house or something like that or if monique just so happened to catch you at the airport with your body on at least it's got some bling look at that y'all. How cute is that and again she has it in multiple colors. This is the orange one that she just gave me, and i also have it in maroon as well. So i thought this was super cute and you can actually store your wig in this too, like i would probably tie my wig up in this as well. Okay, so then the other goodie that i got and i'm i'm super excited for this bag. She has these beautiful head scarf y'all these satin scarves baby. Let me just show y'all the design. Look at this scarf y'all. Look at the scarf y'all look at the satin scarf y'all! Okay, i mean you can wear this on your head. If you want to, you can make this a fashion item, i've definitely worn it on my head um in a real on instagram with an outfit with the orange outfit, and it looks great you got your matching orange bonnet like starby having y'all good and ready to Go so you're also going to be getting goodies with your package, so even though you're paying the price for the wig you're gon na also get some extras in your package as well and we're not done boo. We also got some lashes, okay, y'all. Look at these lashes, these ain't, the little you know the little tie ones they send you when you order from off of amazon and stuff. This is cute honey. These are 7d, so so they thick. So she has her lashes and then, of course, she's going to have her business card. So i know you guys are like okay, you said an investment. How much is the price, so she has a couple of services. Okay, that she offers custom wig construction, which is what she gave me here. This is a custom, wig construction, custom color. She also does wig installs, but if you want to bring your own bundles, she also does frontal wig construction starting at 250 enclosure construction, starting at 200. lace. Tinting, is available upon request and please view her site for color prices and prices in general. So again, her website will be on the screen and her instagram page will be on the screen. It will also be in the description box below so without further ado. Let'S pull the wig out the bag. We ain't even took the wig out all the way yet, and she already is pretty okay. So let me let me give you details about this wig as i am taking her out. Okay come on so when star says she does custom designs, she does custom design. So every wig is going to be stitched according to your own head measurement. So she will ask you to measure your head. She has a whole chart of how she wants you to measure your head and she will make the wig according to your actual head. So this should fit okay. You ain't got to worry about being too big or too small, because she's gon na make it according to the dimensions of your head. So you have to make sure that you give her the correct dimensions. Okay, so again i told you guys that stars, wigs are uh sewn on the sewing machine. So let's look at the inside okay, very neat construction on the inside of the wig. You don't have to worry about tracks. Slipping you don't have to worry about thread busting on you, it's on here girl and she's able to fit a lot of hair on her wig. So i got four bundles of 26 yeah because i got two 26's and two 24's, i believe and the closure. So i usually get a closure because i haven't quite figured out how to finagle a frontal yet um, so i usually do closure. Wigs. All of my wigs are most of my wigs as y'all see are closures. I want to pop a picture of of what the wig looked like when she first made it, and i do ask her to dye it jet black. So this is a custom color. She just did a jet black dye on the head. Okay, look at the lace! This is ready. She bleached my knots. Okay, she bleached the lace. We are ready, so i'm gon na go ahead and just put this on my head um, just to kind of see where we are so far just to kind of get it together. It fits so good when you first get it um. It'S definitely always a little tighter when you first get it versus um. You know, as you kind of wear it, so she definitely makes her wigs to be glueless. So this is it on my head. I haven't manipulated the lace, i haven't done any lace tinting and i really am not going to have to for real um. Usually if i do lace, tinting i'll, just use my powder or my foundation. Now one thing i will say about my wig um technique. I usually do my wigs after i do my makeup. I know some people like to do it before i tend to do it after. I do my makeup because it lessens the product that i have to put on the lace to make the lace blend in. I already have makeup on, so i don't have to go in and add this most of the time. If i just wait until after my makeup is done, i know some people are like afraid to mess their makeup up if they do that um but girl. I just don't be having time for all of that, but what i am gon na do is go in with this cream foundation from merit, and i'm just going to take a little bit on this part just to kind of get the part a little bit more. Even as far as the color, i'm gon na just take a little bit put that on that part like so boom. Oh she really. This is ready, so we're getting ready to apply her. Let me show you the products that i use before i cut this lace off, so i use the olive oil wig grip gel to apply all of my wigs, along with my got to be glue spray. I like to take my wigs off at night. I don't. I really don't care to be sleeping in no week, so this allows me to take it off at night, so i'm gon na use some of this and i'm gon na use some of this to put it on and let's see if we can get this lace Cut appropriately, i might have to take this back off to cut the lace, but we'll see i'm gon na just pull the hair back. Hairline is already what it needs to be. I mean when she say custom she mean it okay, she mean it. Look at that. Look at that okay, so i think i am going to take it off and cut the lace and then come back and put it on. So i do use the little jagged method to cut my lace, i'll cut it with a little razor, and i just kind of i'll kind of try to show you it's kind of hard to show you from this angle. But i just kind of take it and i just wiggle the razor like that. I want to pay attention to what i'm doing, but i just kind of wiggle it so that it's not so like straight across you know, and that kind of creates, like a more natural hairline. Now that i got this little like jagged um line on my lace, i'm gon na put it back on my head yeah. There we go there, we go, and it's really up to you whether you want to cut it while it's on your head or color. While it's off, i just feel like, i have a little bit more control over it while i'm when i cut it while it's off, so i'm going to slide it back, so you guys can see um how i glue it. I really don't need to because, like i said she makes every week glueless um. However, it will stretch out it's tight right now, so it will stretch out a little bit. So i know sometimes the lace um won't look as natural glueless after it stretches out. So i'm gon na take some of this ors wig gel and because this is a closure, i don't need that much. I'M gon na take like this amount and i'm just going to spread this across my forehead from one end of the frontal to the other. You don't need a whole bunch of this, because you want this to um, not clunk up. I love this ors um wig gel because it makes it so easy and you really don't even have to blow dry this like i could. I could install the wig without a blow dryer, but i'm also going to be filming a try on haul next and i'm going to be taking on clothes and putting on clothes. So i want to make sure the wig is laid down so the next one. I do is i take my blow dryer, i put it on high, but i also blow dry my hair on the cool setting because baby we ain't got time to get no burns. Okay, okay, so i just do that for a little bit. Then i take my gratitude: glue go over it and i blow dry again then. After this we gon na place the lace okay place. Your lace y'all think that now i'm gon na take a rat tail comb and i'm going to press my lace in, and this is also where i'm going to take down some hair for baby hairs. So i'm going to press in my lace to also take down some hair boom press press press. Then i'm going to go back in with the blow dryer and i'm going to do this little technique where i'm going to hold my comb down on the lace like this and then do my blow dryer like this, because i find that, like it just bonds, it A little better, you have the comb pressing it down, but the air from the blow dryer is still able to get through the um teeth of the comb, so you're holding it down and drying it. At the same time. One lace: ain't, no lace on me, her okay, look at that boom boom boom honey. She is giving scalp she giving scalp puff scalp my baby hairs. I did have my hot comb heating up over here and i just want to get some of those flyaways down. I'M so excited to have my wig back yay honey not to be swinging out with the long bundles. I know y'all like the short i like the shirt too, but i was honestly tired. I was tired of that short hair honey. I was tired of it. I ain't even gon na hold you. I was tired. I also have some um olive oil mousse. She doesn't really need a lot of uh touch-ups. She'S got some flyaways back here, i'm trying to together. Here we go. It'S got a little fly. Aways i'm trying to move down yes, sir okay, so with baby hairs in particular, i'm no expert okay, so i just got to do what i please when it comes to baby hairs, if they turn out great great, if they don't, i usually fix it another time. So we're gon na see what we can do with these okay, we don't see what we can do. I usually try to like cut them long first and then take them up. I'M probably gon na have to take some more down. I'M trying to see if i swoop it i don't know y'all. Let'S just try to see what we gon na get with these baby hairs. So i'm gon na use my murray's edge wax. I usually use the even edge wax but um i ran out. So this is just what i have in the house, so also here's a tip for you to do your baby hairs after you've done. Your makeup is just put the edge control on the baby hairs right at the lace like right at the top, where the lace is at, but pretty much on the root put the edge control up there and then once you comb it through it'll it'll, pull through To the rest of your baby hair, so you don't have to worry about having all that edge control. Clumped up on your makeup on your forehead, okay, so first thing we're gon na do is do my middle swoop, because i usually love to have a good middle swoop. We might have to work on this a little bit off camera we'll see we'll see. Actually, i feel like yeah it's a little too much, but i'm not a baby hair expert. Okay, so we just we're just gon na do what we can. Okay, we're just gon na do what we can. I mean you know hello. Ain'T got ta, be too much. Y'All get the point, so i want to go in with my shears and i do want to kind of cut some hair. Now y'all i've been cutting layers in my hair for a long time. So i literally just kind of go in. I don't have like no real um method to it. I just kind of i just kind of go in i like longer layers, so i just kind of go through stretch the hair out and just kind of throughout the hair random spots and i'll probably be doing this for a while until i get it like exactly How i want it and what i mean for a while is like multiple like throughout the time that i will have the hair. I will be cutting it like you know, i just i'm always like cutting cutting up my wigs sure, just whatever, because it to me it creates more body in the hair. It just gives it a little bit more fullness and a little bit more flavor. I am going to cut the ends off just a little bit because they're a little dry down here, so i'm going gon na cut that part off that keeps tangling up, see how that just is so much better. Now sometimes we um with your hair depending on what kind of hair it is usually more wavy and curly hair you'll see this issue, but like the hair will be bomb all throughout, but the ends will be kind of dry, and i see that happen a lot With wavy and curly hair, so just cut that little bit off that little bit at the end, just cut it off. It'S not even like a full inch of hair, just cut cut that little little bit of inch off and that will keep your hair from tangling up at the ends. Sometimes you just got ta drop the dead weight, okay boom boom, cutting it off, and then one thing i always do. I think y'all saw me, do it on the other side, but i'm gon na. Do it on this side, because you can kind of see it better? Is i always take this bottom bundle right here, which is the longest bundle, and i will kind of turn it to the side like this and i'll cut the longest layers in this like that, because what happens is when i curl it? If you don't layer it like this um, it creates it creates this kind of line of demarcation in your in your bundle, so you can tell like, oh that must be her 26 inch bundle and then it goes into a 24, and i don't like that. I want you to, i want it to blend baby. I want it to blend okay beauty. So now i'm just going in with my one inch curling iron from con air. I got this from target. It'S usually like 25 at the most and i'm just gon na. Go in and refresh the curls, because the way the wig was packaged, the curls are kind of like all over the place, they're not really flowing the way that i normally wear them um and that's just because she curls it beforehand, and then she has to figure Out a way to package it, so i'm just going to go in and refresh the curl, so i'm going to fast forward this part. Just so you can see me just touching the curls up. If you want a complete, separate tutorial of how to use a curling iron, because i know a lot of you - guys might not be able to use a barrel curler if you want to learn how to use a curling iron and be quick at doing some curls. Let me know in the comments, because i will create a separate video while i'm teaching you how i do my curls and curl it fast. So just watch me curl and i will show you the finished result in a second. So i just touched the curls up to kind of get them a little bit more polished, since they were sitting in the packaging for so long and this is it boo this this is as much as i usually will do to my weave. One thing i can say about this hair is the curls will stay in this hair for a long time, so i usually don't even have to touch up the curls. That often - and one thing i want to point out, okay, i did not use a wig cap, nor did y'all see me put any of my foundation or powder on the lace. Okay, so when she says custom she means custom. She doesn't want you guys to have to have a lot of things to do and manipulate to the lace once you get it. Okay, i put this on over my braids okay. The most y'all saw me do was put some cream foundation in the park, and that was it. I like low maintenance when it comes to my wigs, i'm not trying to have to be finagling with lace when it sticks something in the morning and i got ta get ready for work okay, so this is another reason why i love my girl because she does Not leave you hanging when it comes to your lace, customization. Unless you tell her don't customize the lace she usually is going to bleach your knots. She is going to do whatever she needs to do to make sure the wig looks as natural as possible. So here is the finished product. This hair is super long, even though i i've even cut some of the inches off love my weight, i'm so happy that my wig is back.
