What'S up, you guys welcome back to my channel so today i'm going to be doing a wig review, slash unboxing initial review and install video for you guys today, so the wig that we're going to be reviewing today is talking about. It is from ali pearl. So first, let's just do like: let's talk about um the ordering process and everything, so i ordered my wig on um february 15th and then the next morning, when i got up um, they basically had sent me like a confirmation, and i have been ordering from ali Pearl for years, literally going on like five years, so i know how this process works. If you don't confirm your shipping address, basically they won't ship your package out, because you know how sometimes people can make a simple mistake like if you're going too fast, you can easily it's easy to confuse a number and mix up something, so it's nice that they Do get you to confirm your shipping address so, as some of you guys know, i live in japan and this wig came from china, so um honestly, i was very um shocked at how quick they got it here. So i ordered it on the 15th, but i made a mistake and i chose and i'll include some pictures of the confirmation, email and stuff. So you guys kind of know what to look for so sometimes when i order from ali pearl the confirmation email comes from jenny or something, but this time it didn't i'm going to include the email. So you guys can kind of know what to look for when you order. So i ordered a small wig cap. So i i my head is small enough for a small wig cap, but i meant to order a medium, because when i get a small, it's just too snug on my head and it gives me a headache - and i really can't even wear the wig like this Wig that i'm wearing this is a medium and it fits perfectly i'm wearing the wig glueless and everything. So i'm a medium, so i noticed on the 17th. So two days after i placed my order that i had selected small, so i was like oh no. I cannot have them, send me the small wig. I need a medium, so i emailed them and they emailed me right back right away and they were so nice about it and without any hesitation they switched my wig cap size to a medium and they told me they needed two extra days to get my order Out, which was fine, i didn't mind waiting, because i really didn't need the medium instead of the small. So i didn't mind waiting the extra two days, so that was the 17th the 19th my wig shipped so um. Four days after i ordered my wig shipped and, like i said, i live in japan, so i was, you know. I had an estimate. Do not estimate due date girl who pregnant i'm tripping an estimate, delivery date of the 27th, but my something that i notice living in japan they'll give you one day and then they'll just come, deliver it whenever and in japan. Whenever you get things delivered to your japanese address, they will not leave things at your door. You have to be home to sign for all your packages so the day they brought the wig was actually the 24th and on the 24th we had actually went out of town. We drove to another city on the island to go to the aquarium, so i was in the home and ali pearl emailed me right away. That was, like dhl contacted us. They told us you weren't home, to receive your package, so we can re um schedule for tomorrow morning, which is yesterday the 25th and they came. They brought my package and yes, so that's that really simple, really easy ordering process a lot of people. You know act like yo hold on this. Eyelash is killing me a lot of people, some people, some review, videos that i watch people act like their customer service is off. But honestly, i can say that i have been ordering for from ali pearl going on five years. Literally, since i was a freshman in high school, i discovered them and i have been ordering from them forever. So i can honestly say the communication has always been on point like i have ordered from some companies and they don't communicate with you at all. Besides giving you your shipping address - and i can definitely say, ali pearl's communication has always been on point, and that is why i continue to spend all my bucks with them and i absolutely absolutely absolutely love their company. So now, let's get into the wig. So my wig came packaged just like this. Just in the pink silk um ally pearl bag, i didn't get a box. Usually when i order um, i get a box, but this time i didn't get a box. I don't know. If it's you know, i don't know. I didn't get a box this time and i don't it does i don't mind this basically doubles back as a storage bag for your wig, which is nice because when you aren't wearing the wig, you have a place to store the wig. So let's get into the wig details guys, so i got a 24 inch, 250 density, hd lace, um straight wigs, so um i haven't done anything to the wig i haven't plucked it. I haven't bleached, no knots. I haven't done anything so. Basically, when i got the wig yesterday, i took it out the package and i basically ran my fingers through it um, something that i noticed whenever i ordered this i'm on a backpack. Whenever i order their straight hair, i tend to get a little bit of shedding. Initially, it's not bad, but i do get a little bit of shedding. Rather it's bundle, hair or a wig. So um, that's just something to think about. As you can kind of see, i don't know if you guys can even see but as i'm kind of running my fingers through the hair right now, i'm getting a couple of string strings coming out. Um, like i said, the it's not bad, it's not bad, but i do have a couple of complaints about the wig, so i got 250 density just because it is a straight wig and it has so much body. So usually, when i get straight wigs, i have to cut like layers to get like the body, but this wig already has so much volume and so much body, and i love it. So i got the 5x5 closure and i'm going to say that i am a little bit disappointed, because this really does not look like hd lace. In my opinion, it looks like swiss lace. This is my first time ever ordering a hd lace wig from anyone. So i really can't like say if i'm 100 or not, because i can only go from videos that i have watched, but it really looks exactly like swiss lace to me. So i don't know if i'm wrong or i don't know, but it doesn't look like hd lace to me. So this is how the lace looks on my skin, so the wig is pre-plucked and it does have some little baby hairs. But it's not pre-plucked like to my liking, so i'm going to customize this wig and make it my you know make it like something that i would wear also. I do have a few complaints. So, as you can see right here, there are like a couple of holes in the lace, which is weird because i have i have a bunch of wigs from them and i have never had a wig come in and the lace be like damaged. It'S not really damaged, because majority of that lace is going to be cut off anyways, but it's just a simple fact that it's there like. Why are there holes in the lace and i'm going to show you guys again? You can see, there's like holes in the lace and, like i said i haven't plucked it. I haven't done anything to it. Besides get it out the bag and run my fingers through it, so as far as the smell um, sometimes, when i order there's a processy fishy type smell, sometimes there's not there is like a smell kind of, but it's not really strong and overpowering. So because i know some people don't like that, so it's not that bad, but it is there so in this uh, silk week's first bag. They also sent me some wig caps, which is really nice, because i actually emailed them and asked me asked them if they could send me wig caps, because i live in japan and there's no hair stores and i ordered some wig caps. But they were not here. Yet so i asked them if they were singing wig cap, which is nice, that they sent me two and then they also sent me an elastic band. The elastic band is basically what you can um sew into the back of the wig. If you want to to basically help you wear the wig glueless but, like i said i i'm a medium cap size and this is going to fit me perfectly fine, and i can definitely wear that glue this, because this is also apparel wig and it is being Worn glueless, it is a 6x6 wig and, like i said, it's glueless and you know it's it's giving what it needs to give. So that is really all for the initial review. So let's get right on into the install. So i'm not going to be bleaching. The knots on this wig because um the last week i bought i boosted nuts and i feel like not bleaching the knots caused so much damage to the hair. I don't know if it's just me, but i'm just going to use a cheap um full coverage. Uh powder foundation that matches my skin complexion, which is the same concept. I did for this wig right here and pretty much i'm just going to be plucking, i'm going to wash the hair dry, the hair, because it has that smell, i'm going to pluck and then i'm going to apply this to the lace and then we're going to Apply it to our head and then we're going to style the wig and then i'm going to come back and talk to you guys so be back. Okay, a very um um! So here guys, i was basically showing you guys, um plugged versus unplugged, even though i decided to go for a very, very natural style um for this wig install. I still feel like plucking. The front is very essential, especially because of the density wig i got. It was no way that it would lay flat with just so much bulkiness in the front, because the closure was just absolutely thick and it was just crazy. So there is me basically i pluck backwards and then i just comb out the excess. So you can really tell the difference between the left side, which is plugged in the right side, which is not, and there's me doing that plucking backwards motion. I feel like this really helps me to i don't know it just helps me to get my waist to look more natural and pretty much it avoids plucking any so, but then i decided that i didn't want to go for that look anymore. So pretty much here. I'M just gluing down my cap. I know a lot of people use two layers of ghost bun, but honestly one is just not for me because i didn't plan on wearing this wig for more than a few days anyways. So just one layer of ghost bun is totally fine and then here i was basically just cutting my lace or trying to those scissors really were not working. So then you see me going with my straight razor and basically once you um begin to cut your lace. Uh just cut into two or three pieces: this just really makes it easier to lay the lace into your skin. So basically you want to pull your wig up to the glue and basically just press the lace into that glue. I'M using my comb and i'm scraping backwards to kind of press that lace into the glue, and this just helps give you a very seamless, very melted. Look and honestly just do that with both sides and then you're going to want to cut off your lace and then you'll be ready to style your wig, and you can see me going in right now with that curling wand, and you can see that it's just Melting that lace, you can even see the smoke coming off that mug. So y'all really just take your curling wand, because i promise the guy it works so much better than the straightening home. Okay guys. So i was just straightening the hair and binge watching that at first sight, so if y'all see me keep looking down, that's what i'm doing also, this is my first hair tutorial, so i'm really not sure how to film them. So please be nice. I was trying my hardest, okay guys, so that is all for this video. So pretty much i kept yes, hey carter. I kept this wig installed, basically just pretty basic, pretty natural, very beginner friendly. I didn't want to do all the extra baby, hairs and stuff just because i always wear my wigs with baby hairs, and this time i wanted just. I didn't want that this time, like i just wanted it to look like a sill press like it's growing out of my scalp and it's giving it is definitely giving so i thought i was recording, but i was not so at the end when i laid my Wig um, what you saw me doing was spraying my got to be glue on top and then running my um curling wand across. So a lot of people use the hot comb, my hot comb for me personally, it just don't do it. It does not get that hot, so for me using my curling wand, it really gives you that melts. So you are struggling with like bumps and lumps on top of your wig. Definitely try curling one over a hot comb because in my opinion it works a lot better and then i was using a wax stick. I used my wax stick to kind of get my hair to just really lay and like remove any flyaways from the top of my wig because, like i said, i just want it to look very clean and very natural. Something else that you can do to help with flyaways is take your straight razor and kind of just shave away the flyaways, but this wig didn't have a bunch of flyaways anyways, so that was unnecessary for me. So basically, yes, you guys. I don't know what kind of um a wax stick. This is because it's japanese, so i don't really know, but any wax stick will do and of course everybody know about the gothic glue and then you can also use a little bit of foam for the top of your wig to help it lay. But yes, that's pretty much it you guys. I would definitely recommend this with every other pro week that i've ever ordered. I recommend it so i will put the link in the description to this exact same wig and i take back what i said in the beginning about it not being hd lace, because it definitely is a street lace and, like i said, i just went in and Filled in my pout, my part with some powder that matched my skin tone.
