I'M cherise and welcome, or welcome back to my channel, i said welcome baby welcome. Welcome, thank you guys so much for clicking on this video and, as you can tell from the title, i'm pretty sure you're here to see how i applied my unis 5x5 closure wig and what i think about it. I'Ve had this wig for about six weeks now, and this is not a sponsored video. I did spend my own money. Um unis. Has this convenient quad pay that you can use, so you can put your payment into four payments if you don't want to spend the whole 200 300, whatever all at once, because i never really enjoy paying for weave. I just don't like it because we spend a lot of money on our natural hair. If you do do natural hair care and then on top of that for protective style, we spend a lot of money on someone else's hair. So i love the quad pay. So quick review before we get started into my application. I love the hair like just get it. I'Ve um. I have reviewed a unis wig on my hair channel before, and that was a you part where i had my hair left out and i was tired of wearing leave out. So i was like. Let me try closure. This is my first 5x5 closure wig. I practiced with a 4x4, so this was giving me more lace that i had to deal with and i'm actually slowly but surely i feel, like i'm learning how to how to lay the hair so hopefully watching my video will kind of give you some tips on All the tools you'll need. I may post a video if i get enough comments saying that they did. You guys would like to see how i colored this wig, because the wig actually came like my roots, like all like a natural, dark color, and then i actually added these highlights and lowlights to it for the spring. I actually really like it. The wig is 22 inches and it comes. It comes like right here on me, so i really like it and if you keep watching the video, you will see how i actually laid this lace. It came with a um scarf patch that i just put on the inside. I bleached the knots added some concealer put some baby hairs and you will see how i do my ball cap method and how i put the wig on and when i put the wig on this way. It actually stays on for about a week before. I feel like i need to either wash the hair or take it out and put it on again. Thank you guys so much um, because i'm actually on my way out it's my birthday weekend. So this is my birthday hair and i just like it. Please don't forget to like comment and subscribe and if you feel like this, video was helpful or you just want to help me grow. My channel also share this video. Thank you guys so much for watching. So, let's just get into the application. Okay, you guys i'm coming with some older braids. They kind of just look like this, like real fuzzy and yeah. So i'm gon na go over the supplies, you'll need when applying your wig. You need a blow dryer to do the wig cap method, um. Definitely a wig cap, that's close to your skin tone or you can just add makeup to one a cotton pad and i like to use the um q-tips some gel um some got to be glue, some alcohol and a rat tooth comb. That looks like this and last but not least, a scarf in your wig. Yes, it's a lot, but i promise you, you feel so slayed. So the first thing i like to do if my makeup is already done - i like to just take a cotton pad and alcohol. Well, alcohol, um and makeup remover, so we're gon na use makeup, remover, first, just to make sure that the makeup is gone and then alcohol just to dry that area, because what you don't want to do is apply your wig to an area that has makeup. You can kind of see, like my forehead, has no makeup right now, and so i take the alcohol just to kind of dry out the area and prepare the glue and it doesn't rub it on my forehead. Okay - and i don't know how well you can see but like i have my edges - they're kind of crazy right now, i'm sticking out take a little gel of your choice. I, like the extreme lit line as well, and you can also oil your scalp before before this and just gel those baby hairs, so that when you put your cap on it's a seamless unix, let's call them back. Also before you start the wig cap method. It'S a good way to know where you want your wig. I have a small, very small kind of like widow's peak, so i kind of just set my wig like right here, because my hairline really starts like the bulk of it starts back here. So i kind of just put the wig like right here, but you can always just try the wig on like so this is the wig i bleached the knots um, not slowing, though this is not gon na, be my third application since it's been colored, so i've Probably worn this wig for about a month on and off it came with a scar patch that i put on the inside, so i didn't have to worry about um, putting too much concealer on the inside, but um it's been holding up like i washed this hair. The other night, because this is really important when you're doing a wig application, make sure your hair is clean or else you're, not gon na, like your wig, i washed the hair the other night and the scarf cap stayed on. I made sure not to shampoo too hard, so i'm gon na do now is just apply the wig with no um with nothing with no stocking cap or anything just so we can see what we're working with. I don't know if the camera's picking up everything - i guess i'll see it in the editing, but right now it's kind of it doesn't look bad, but i definitely like that. Scalp look like here because i feel you could see the difference between, like my part where the um scar, patches and the edges, so i'm just also going to kind of position where i want my part to go because, like i said, i'm i'm dealing with this Little widow's peak area, so i kind of just want my part to go like maybe like right. I am going to speed up a little bit because there's so many videos of people applying a stocking cap. This is not a stocking cap tutorial. Okay. So now i'm just applying my stocking cap, i'm pushing all my hair back. So there's nothing sticking out and i'm doing two layers of forgot to be free spray. And then i go in with my blow dryer, add another layer and then add some more drought to bleach, and so now you want to make sure it's completely dry before you start cutting, make sure it's not tacky at all completely dry, make sure not to cut Your forehead and i cut around my ears since we're just doing a closure, like my second time upon the ball cap. So i'm not a pro at it yet, but i'm just um putting the got to be on it and pressing it down with the metal part of my rat tail to get it to kind of blend more and be a little bit more seamless um. Even if your wall cap is not perfect, i've learned that it's still better than just your braids. It helps your lace kind of melt a little bit better. So this is just what i'm doing going in with a low heat setting. So i don't burn my forehead and i'm just pressing it in um. I feel like practice, makes perfect the more i do it it'll be better because the first time i did it was a hot mess, so just keep practicing, even if you can't get it. I i still have some more tips to learn with it to get now, i'm just going in with my foundation just so it won't be so light. You wanted to kind of match your forehead after i put on the wig. I realized that i probably should have put on more foundation, but it's all good, so i just feel a little foundation just so. The color comes in a little bit better. Okay, now you're going to want to apply two layers of without be and make sure it's really tacky when you apply it and i'm just cleaning up the excess with alcohol. So it's not super sticking it down my face and know that once you apply this wherever you sit the way it's not going to be able to move after you sit on there, so just go ahead and put your hooks in and just pull it down, and I actually wanted to move my weight, but it was too late just know where i've used that wig, it's not moving so with your two layers. So this is where i place the wig and i'm just going in with the middle part of my rat tail comb and just to press that lace in with my forehead, some more so now that my wig is on, and i notice that every time i put This wig on it ends up being in a different position on my forehead every time, but as long as you give yourself enough forehead, i hate to see when people try to like make their forehead so much smaller i've. Actually, i've actually put on a wig too low down, and i hated all my pictures so just kind of go like a little bit above your natural hairline, so um i have the edge control on and mousse doesn't really work. For me. I know that mousse works for a lot of people, but it doesn't work for me for some reason. So i'm just laying my edges my baby hairs. I don't have that many baby hairs, but just enough so that the wig had like a nice look. So then, i just tie them down for a few seconds, i'm having a hard time. I just time down for a few seconds. I still need to comb through my wig. Okay, it's only been like a minute, but it really doesn't need to stay on there. That long and that's how i sleep with my um edges, to make my lace stay, i sleep with my edges, wrapped up. Okay, so - and i don't like too many edges, because it looks funny to me so i'm just gon na brush these to kind of lift them up a little bit there. We go so make sure that it's as flat as possible, if you do see knots at the end of the day, you know it's a wig, it's not your scale. I try to get it to look as close to my scalp as possible, but i am sitting over here with the ring light overhead lights and the natural world you're not really walking around. With this many lights on you on your wig, so i feel like it looks pretty realistic in person. Okay, we made it to the end of this video. Thank you so much for watching. I want to um get more into posting. I know i say this and almost at the end of every video, but i'm trying to balance working full-time working on my master's degree and filming and editing for youtube. So i just have to remember to turn on my camera more often. So if you just bear with me, i'm going to try to start putting out more content for you guys so don't forget to like comment and subscribe.
