Installing A Wig For The First Time|| Superlove Hair Review

Hello guys welcome back to my youtube channel to those of you that are new to the channel. My name is kay monroe and to those of you that are returning subscribers. Welcome, welcome welcome. So today's video is a little different. I don't think i've ever done. Anything like it on my channel before, but if you follow me on instagram, you will know that i have been dabbling with the idea of whether i should go back to wearing wigs or not so yeah. Me too, i just thought, lady, just it out um and you'll see we'll see how it goes. So this um video is a sponsored video um i did get sent from here from a company called super love. I will link their um details down in the description box, i'll also tag their instagram handle on here, somewhere um and link as to where you can get the hair and all sorts of things. So they saved me this hair and they asked me to try it out so um yeah. That'S what i'll be doing and that's what this video is about so uh today i did go and get some wig lags because you guys know i obviously haven't ever so. Yeah, okay, so this is how the hair comes. It comes in a blessing that looks like this. That says: super love, 100 human hair and this unit is a 20 inch unit 4x4. So i obviously have to do my research, because i have no clue what that means. I did my research with regards to what is that, like? What does that mean - and i did spend the evening on youtube like just trying to figure out like how i'm gon na weigh this hair? So fortunately, what it looks like is like this. So a 4x4 is basically i'm assuming this lace closure thing here: um and it's 20 inches long, i'm just off the bed. I really did like the um. I like the texture of the hair. The only thing that bothered me is that this lace is why i just have the same skin tone as my hair uh. So i went to an instagram and i asked okay guys like what do i do? And people like you have to bleach the knots, but i won't reach the nonce because on instagram i mean not on instagram on um, because on youtube - and i was watching the videos yesterday, you can also do the foundation method, which is what i'm going to be Doing in this video so yeah, i also got this. I bought this um wig cap today, so yeah, i'm gon na i'm gon na. Actually, i'm gon na install um this hair. So i'm gon na wear my wig cap. The lace is uncut. I really hope i don't screw it up because dessert okay first step, we can hmm. I have some tools here to help me. I have some got to be there, we go got some got to be um and honestly, that's all i have besides like a straightener and a hair, dryer um, okay, then okay, so i've got my wig cap on then i'm gon na do the foundation method before Anything, i'm gon na add just rubbing alcohol onto my forehead over here, so that my forehead isn't oily or anything like that. This tip, i was also on youtube. So basically, what i learned between yesterday and today is that okay is that i'm gon na first apply this foundation on my um on my wig cap and then i'm gon na apply it to my to the wig itself right. So we are going to do the foundation method first things. First, i need to cut um, not the lace, but this knit we recap situation here. I need to cut that off. So this is what i've cut off. I was quite careful if you look there's like a thread if you look carefully with a thread, so i just cut not too close to the thread and not on the thread, because i noticed that the wig cap is actually attached to the lace closure. So i don't want that situation and then i'm going to apply foundation on on the wig cap and on the base i'm going to be using a brush for bed situation, preferably use a drugstore foundation. Oh my gosh, i think i put too much. I might have foundation on my hair. I think i'm done that's what it looks like now. Can you put my hand here? That'S what it looks like now. It does look slightly better. I think it's at this point that i wear the hair. Okay, so also there's like these things at the back, so i'm gon na do that? Okay, so i'm assuming this is a three-part closure like you, can grab the other and then i'm gon na wait for it to dry, so it can get tacky and i'm gon na slightly put it on. I don't want baby as gay. It cleans your land. Okay, let me get it dryer, because i think i'm actually supposed to use a dryer, it is tacky. Is it sticking i don't know find out about the next episode of dragon ball z? I just want to say you probably don't have to do this, like you. Probably don't have to like put glue and install the closure, and i'm just being extra yes, ah, okay, now i'm starting to i'm starting to feel it okay. So this is what it looks like laid sweetie um. What i did over here was i put in um. I put in that mousse - oh hey guys, so i'm done with the install. Let me quickly um finish off my face and then i'm going to tell you guys what i think about the hair, but it is basically like that long. So this is there 20 inches, um and yeah guys. I did my first mini install, but oh my gosh, honestly, that was so frustrating goodness but yeah. So let me quickly finish doing my face and then um i'll come back on here and check okay guys. So i am back um. I thought i would root in the side part, but i just thought a middle part looks a lot better um one thing about this week number one. I will say that you do not have to go through the trouble. I went through whether i got to be. I do think that even without the glue, it should still be fine, especially if you're wearing it in the middle part, because the closure is not even like visible. I don't know if it's not visible, because mine is glued down. I don't know if it's not visible, because i'm not wearing well, because i'm wearing foundation i'm on the closure itself um or what but um yeah, okay, so the hair um. I think i did mention it's a 20 inch, long wig, it's a 4x4 closure, um and yeah. I don't know anything again about the density and things like that um. I definitely think it is like a perfect beginner wig. So if you're someone that is not really familiar with wigs, it can be um. I think it is a wig that um you can. You can wear um. Also, i really like the texture of the hair um. It'S like trying. You know like it's it's giving it's giving, so i really like the texture of the hair, i'm impressed with that um. What else can i say i did use some mousse. I did use a hair dryer. I do use a straightener, i'm just moved over here because i felt like i had hair going all over the show um - and i didn't like that. So i just used some mousse over here and like here and then i used a straightener. I used a hairdryer as well um and yeah um. I don't mind that it's quite light, like yona itself um. I do i'm wearing a wig cap underneath um. I don't mind that it's not like heavy, because it is quite like it looks a little natural but yeah um. Would i wear wigs again um? I probably will, but i because i have a natural hair like influence that and honestly besides work, i prefer my face. I prefer my face um with my hair, but i really do. I know that wig lines are really great potential, hairstyle and also um. I know it's nice to switch things up a little. You know just look a little different, you know, so i would definitely wear this like as an occasional thing um i am enjoying it. I do like it um. I think it does need a little bit of getting used to just for me because i'm so used to, like you know, having my hair, so i really like that. You know i've switched it up. Um and yeah. I just put a little bit of foundation over here, so it can match my scalp um. I didn't remember. I said that the the the closure itself was not um bleached, so i just put some foundation and that's what happened so yeah. That'S how i feel about the hair um yeah way too. I don't, i don't have anything more to say um other than the fact that i really like it. I like how it looks for me i feel like i look super cute um, so i would switch it up, especially because it's winter number, one protective styles, are a thing so um yeah like having cornrows in your hair's, not manipulated. It'S not hectic um and just put on um the week and i'll just go about my day so yeah. That is it.
