Curls For The Girls! Kinky Curly Glueless 5X5 Closure Wig Install | Ft. Asteria Hair

Hey everyone. Thank you so much for clicking on this video. So today i'm going to show you all this kinky curly unit. Here i got it from mysteria hair company and i'm going to show you all how i got the luscious, the most luscious curls. So if you're interested stay tuned, this wig, like i stated before, comes from mysteria hair. This is their 20 inch kinky curly 555 closure wig. This is what we consider the glueless wig, because you do not need adhesive to wear this or melt the lace. So i'm showing you all the knots the knots are pretty small and the hairline is kind of pre-plucked. It already came with the middle part um, which is fine, because i like to wear my units in the center anyways. So i'm just showing you guys the hairline, how it's pre-plucked in the very small knots. I am going to be bleaching the knots and i'm showing you all how i've been doing it as of late i'm using 50 volume developer because it actually helps with these knots and i'm using prism lights powder bleach, i'm using one scoop and i'm adding about a Half of that a little bit more than half of developer into the mix, just so that i could have a real, thick consistency. The reason why i'm using 50 volume is because the knots that i've been receiving from virgin hair companies, as of lately they've, been big um. They haven't been consistent, so i decided to just go to the next highest level of developer from 40, which is 50.. So i have been using this. The thing about using 50 volume developer is that it actually speeds the process of bleaching. So you do want to be mindful of that and watch the bleach um time it if you may uh, because you can over process the knots and you don't want over processed knots. But, of course, if you end up doing that, going with some purple shampoo and maybe tone the knots a little bit just so that it's not super brassy or yellow, so i'm just showing you all how i'm putting the mixture onto the lace i like to push The mixture through just a little bit to kind of coat the knots a bit just so that i am, i am sure, that it'll process and bleach the way i need it to so yeah. I let it process for roughly 10 to 15 minutes, not too long, and these are the results. I also added an adjustable elastic band to add extra security to my unit, so i did wash the hair and i let it air dried, and these are the curls. So i am going to show you guys the two things that i like to use to define the curls i like to use water and any soft holding foaming mousse. I put a little bit of that mousse mixture into the water bottle the water spray bottle, and you guys already see. I already got my part and hairline together, i'm just going to section off the wig i like to work in sections you just it just helps so once i have my sections um separated, i am going to use my denman brush, i'm going to spray a bit Of my concoction on onto the hair, focusing on the ends, mainly because that's where we're starting - and i just move my way up like so so what i'm also doing is detangling the hair getting rid of any knots any kinks or anything of that sort and just Helping the hair, the hair, the curls on the hair pop a little bit more, so i'm doing this all throughout the unit, starting from the ends and i'm working my way up. This is by far my favorite method. I stopped using conditioner a while ago, if i'm not co-washing the hair, i'm not using conditioner um to make the curls pop. My method is just to use mousse and water, and the reason being is because it adds a lot of slip and it helps the hair dry and it looks moisturized, and so once i complete the entire unit. This is how it looks and, of course i got to install it for you guys so yeah i'm going to just use this wig cap. You can find on my website i'm going to go in and cut off that lace. With my little mini sheers. You can find those also on my website, and we see that that lace is a tad bit too light. It is transparent, so we're going to go in with some powder i like to use my contour shade, because it just helps it blend in a lot better. In case i'm not wearing makeup so yeah, this is the completed. Look. What some people will not tell you is that kinky curly hair is a high maintenance, curly hair you do have to have a like a maintenance, routine or a daily routine, just like with our our natural curls. You definitely want to keep it moisturized. This is my method using some water and mousse just to keep it. You know put together, not frizzy um. It will tangle up on you but, like i said, having a maintenance routine, maybe twisting it up at night um. You know two strand twists things like that.
