Wig Talk Wednesday! Unboxing 2 New Styles From The Raquel Welch Fall 2021 Collection

I just can't i'm just keeping my mouth shut, i'm not saying the word well after the mood i've been in this week. It'S probably a good thing: okay, hi everyone. Yes, we are okay and i i we're gon na apologize right now because, first of all we're four minutes late, but secondly, this video is not cool. It'S just not working. The stress level has been very high this morning, but at the highest level, the last 10 minutes. No, it's been like 20 minutes 25. I'Ve been trying to figure this thing out, but we're happy now right. Well, no we're not happy because we look like we're rope, but we both have the same wig on and we should be happy. You still can't convince me that that is the same color. Look when i do that. Look at that it looks the same color. It'S the same, but then, when i lean back here like yours, looks lighter here, hey everybody, sorry we're all into ourselves. I just love this wig. I usually i like it. In case you went from amsterdam last week that we had the argument on who was going to get this wig yeah because we only got one she won. I did that's okay, i got mine. I got mine yesterday yeah, so we both are happy. Now we both have them, oh goodness, i'm sorry y'all. If there's a lag going on. I already said it once but um. Just let us know if it's too unbearable and we'll just get off here. We just we'll just say: forget it: no, we won't and we'll google how to fix it. I tried to google, but anyway, yeah hi maxine, hi jan hi. Judy. Oh yes, go, texas is a true texan like us. She likes her big hair and blonde hair. Oh goodness, but overall it was a great week. I can't even remember what happened. We had a labor day sale, we did and we had um two days off in a row we did, which doesn't happen very often, although i did work both days well, then you'd have two days well, we had orders to pack, so i came in. I had very success. Everybody took advantage of the sale. Yes, i'm glad if you haven't already got a notification that you order shipped. It means that we're gon na ship it later and i'm trying to be real. You know we did get. We are starting to see some of the supply chain issues that a lot of companies are having the one inch blow. Brushes are back ordered indefinitely. He told me yesterday that we've had them on order for over two months and um. He told me that he's had them on order for over three months and can't even get an idea of when it's going to be so we did what we do. We bought every one and a half inch they had in stock right. So if you want to blow brush, you can get one and a half inch, but you can't get one inch so um so far we're only one negative. So there's one person, that's ordered a one inch, one able to get it and i'll update the website on that. But just keep in mind. If you want a blue brush, you can only get the one and a half inch and we have plenty of those hi. Miss mimei hi charlotte she got her zoey charlotte where's zoey midnight pearl, oh just wanna. I haven't done anything to mine, didn't even pick it out. I just shook it and put it on so, let's turn around and see, and what we were talking about is every time i get a wig. I want something done. I want it tinkered with. I want somebody to give me some attention some way and this doesn't need anything. No, i didn't i mean we didn't steam, it we didn't cut it, we didn't blow brush it, we didn't. Even it was just perfect. I was trying to shampoo it. No so - and this is with the bright lights so really happy with the shininess of the fiber. Oh okay, we were mitzi says it's pronounced e-claw, it's french for sparkle. I don't i'm texting that other one. I swear. It can't be the citta one, but typically, if in french they're, going to have an accent grab or an accent ague on that e and there wasn't one. So i didn't take into account that the t was not pronounced and in talking to our ellen villa rep. She calls it eclat, i don't know, i'm just going to call it this cute blonde curly wig that i got so we're just trying to see how these wear and we've been really happy. So far, i have a little bit larger of a head. I'M 22 and three quarters might as well say: 23. um, it's a little tighter, but the ear tabs come down pretty far right there um and once i got it on it, feels like it's staying there yeah it's not right or anything and my ear tabs. I mean i grow lower, so i always have a little bit of something showing there but yeah. Overall, they fit great i've, worn mine, three days total and normally on any heat defiant wig at this length. It'S going to knot right back there and it just hasn't. They'Re saying that perucci's not pronounced perucci either it's perchy, hey, y'all, gon na have to just deal with our texas pronunciations and accents. I mean we just had this conversation last week about nevada, nevada and of nevada. Oh goodness, all right! Well, this show is not about ellen village. No, it's not it's about it's all about recording enough about us. Let'S talk about our lipstick, though y'all don't forget, we have um all kinds of lipsense in stock. I did something different today. This is the star garnet. Oh, that's pretty big and what are you wearing and i have on uh burnt or burnt orange, and then i put scarlet gloss on top of it just make it it matches your top perfect. I was trying. Well, you did. A good job did a good job. I had to wear a pumpkin color because i got firewood delivered on saturday. It was 101 well, i don't care fall is around the corner, so it is time for fires and football and pumpkin and there's a pumpkin cake. I, like i didn't know that kim has a birthday coming up next month, so she starts reminding us of this cake. What like around august, that we can't forget because it's our favorite, sometimes we have a trial, run yes, and so we get it every year. For her birthday - and it's it's just so good anyway - we'll talk about that later on all right, so uh well anyway, we're talking about supply chain issues, so we are having a number of back orders we'll be contacting um several of you. Some of the back orders are january for some of the wigs and it's it's frustrating for everybody. It'S frustrating for the manufacturer, it's frustrating for us and of course it's frustrating for you as well, but all we can do is make sure we do what we can to keep you well informed. So yes, because we can't change it. Uh chris is asking his lipsense. Have they they've had a matte gloss for a long time? Um we've got it the thing about the matte gloss and this show's not about lipsense either. But the thing about the matte gloss is strangely enough. You really need to put a coat of gloss. Just one coat of glossy on underneath the matte gloss yeah so but then that kind of mattes it out and they came out with um they used to just have matte gloss. That was clear. Now they came out with bella, matte gloss and so and we have that in stock as well. I don't know if you still have to do the coat under the bella, matte cloth or not. I haven't tried it, i haven't either, but we do have lots of lipsense in stock and there was a reason i was going that direction now. I forgot. I got sidetracked anyway um back to our wigs and even though the show's not about olympia, let's mention it again. I don't have those on the way. I'Ve only had two on the website. I'M really working hard to get them up there y'all. I really am, but it's been really busy, so just patience with us um, but we'll get them on there as we go. So so what is the show about it's about raquel's new line and they came out with three new styles. They got two, but they didn't get. The third one. Is that what i'm to understand? Well, i like to think that whoever named this one is southern because that's a southern saying is it well, i don't know, i guess everybody says it, but that has just always been, and that is just straight up with a twist. This is a little bit more layered up, i think, than ignite but um. I love the fact that this is going to come in a ton of colors that ignite doesn't come in yeah. It is and namely what i've got on, which is 511g. You want to switch you're having issues with that. Let'S see, oh my goodness, but you all know that, what's the name again, the name is heard it all. Yeah you're going to have to write this, and this has uh. Let'S just take a minute to talk about the cap construction. I know i told you it was lace front with a mono part, but this has the silicone on the inside. So it you get good, stick yeah! It'S what it's the memory cap, three, which this one does feel smaller than that one, but this is going to have less permatease than ignite, does because it's got the mono part. Yes, and - and it has a great lace, especially when you get with those rooted styles. One thing that raquel is has done that we've always loved is that they put that blonde right in the front, so the knots of the lace don't show, so you can really pull it away from your skin. Even with this one i mean. That'S none of me. You see my widow's peak there, but the knots are nice and staggered in yeah, so even with that dark, but this is cute um karen this the name is sugar and charcoal it's rl511. Well, we said that she wants to know the name. Sugar and charcoal is the name i put the number a in the name this time on these when i put them on the website, because we just strictly usually go by numbers here. You can put that behind your ears. That'S cute! It'S cute! You don't really want to pluck permatease, i i don't you don't want to pluck any wig period. Even the lace front, there's things that you can buy to kind of to release the knots but anytime, you start plucking your lace front, you're, going to mess with the lace because you're putting too much pressure on that lace when you're plucking that hair out so yeah. I mean there's some things like she said you can do, but yeah it's once that lace. It'S like a running pantyhose once it starts going. You can't stop it. So it's better just to kind of tinker with it. A little bit without having to plug jen is decorating for fall. I hope she's out of the doghouse. Why was she in the dog? Oh, it was very, very traumatic sunday morning, her husband, i guess we're having coffee on the back deck and somehow they got locked out of the house, but was that on the group i haven't been on? That'S my one decoration for fall and i have one decoration for christmas and it's these white kind of trees, but they're they're, not trees, they're. Just like the branches and there's like three heights, that's for my front porch. I don't decorate. No well, i just thought i'd ask it before anybody else did because everybody's going to ask and i'm always going to say no, but that doesn't mean i'm not going to do it for somebody but yeah, it's like. Why would you just get it? It just would affect the style, lace front and the way it's shaped here and then you put a bang in it. It'S like you get an alva tracy says it's rendez-new rendez-new. I like this. I like this. Let'S see what the back looks like see, does mine look angled or is it just a little bit hang on? Well, i bet they have the dimensions. Well, they do, but they don't ever mean anything to me. The front's nine. The back is nine and a half. Take note of that jody. I like this. You know, and another thing i've noticed about both of these is the density. It'S not a lot of hair dawn. This doesn't really feel tight. I mean again, i always have problems with ear tabs. Even on my large cap cameron, it doesn't really come down far enough for me, but it feel the cap size feels nice. I mean i could wear it it wouldn't i could wear it all day. It wouldn't be uncomfortable yeah i mean it's. You can see this easier to see with mine because of the color difference right here. So sometimes i ain't gon na lie. What i'll do is i'll? Just wear my wig a little bit crooked because i usually end up tucking that side anyway, so you can't really tell it: let's switch okay. 56 f51 is a jon renau color. So i know it's not going to come in this, but it does come in the 5660 or yeah or the ice cream needed a 516. One would be really close to that too, a little bit more. It'S a heat, defiant fiber, it's a fully hand tied cap and it is gorgeous it is it's really short in the back, though it's not a classic bob like this, so is it really short in the back? This is the wig it just this. Is that looks pretty with your shirt. This is one of the i mean right out of the box, and this is one thing that we've noticed with really all of raquel's heat defiant fibers. They never come with a cold set issue. Never you pull them out of the box, flirt alert! Well! Okay! That'S the exception. Slurs alert was like sometimes yeah, but all the rest of them. It'S i mean, like all the in charges. The charges come out of the box. They straight up with a twist 99.9 of time comes out hanging like this. It'S really pretty yeah yeah. This is nice, i'm happy, i am too, they did a great job. Not rendezvous, rendezvous is heat defiant and the the way i'm going to explain what misty should really be explaining see how that hangs down straight and it's flat that will cut a bang. Well, the rendezvous directionally is going back away from your face, and so what happens when you have these lace fronts, where it's directionally going back from your face when you cut it and yes, i've done this, it looks like a funky cowlick and it never looks right. The other thing is the amount of blending you would have to do, which i mean we did it all. We'Ve done it several times to kim's cameron by jon renau, which is you know, a little bit longer version of this. But it's all on how the fiber responds to heat. It really is, and so, when you have a heat-defined wig, it's meant to take higher temperatures. So it's not easy to just get it into submission. That'S what she's saying so this! On the other hand, oh, my goodness, you don't even need a steamer. You could probably do this with just a blow brush, because estetica fibers are so soft and pliable. So i mean that's the reason yeah. So yes, she said that looks like our unrooted 1488. It is just the rh1488 which we don't do a lot of unrooted blondes and i don't know why, because a lot of people like an unrooted, if you don't have dark brows or have ever had dark hair, you don't really want that root and we go through This in the store all the time because it almo it's like we're talking on both sides of our mouth because we'll be helping a client we'll go. Oh well, yeah! You can kind of bang in that and they'll go okay. Well, i want it. They'Ll, try something else on yeah and we can put it back in and we'll know this when we can't put a bang in so it's just, it's style dependent, it's fiber dependent. You know it's got to hit all the marks of you because you want it successful. I you do want a successful and i hate to always say that because then someone inevitably they're going to post ignite in the wig, chicks group and they're going to have kind of banging and it looks cute yeah i mean it's, not that you cannot do it. You can do it, but it just it's like. Why get something you know i always say: that's why they make so many different wig styles is because more than likely they're going to make something that you like just the way you like it, but if you have to you know we like to see how far We can take things and add, bangs and don't add, bangs and add curling curls, so you know part of it's just fun. We try a bunch of stuff and sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn't yes compared and feel to celebrity editors, bacon, mori's right. Okay, first of all, it's got less hair. Secondly, celebrity has a lot of hair and it's discontinued and it's a regular fiber. It'S not heat defiant editor's pick is heat defiant. I think editor's pick might be a smidge longer and then amore's rain is regular. Fiber amore rain is a lot of hair too and didn't they discontinue rain. I don't know so that's kind of how that breaks that up - and i mean amore, which i love me - some rene of paris love adarans. They love all their lines, but they haven't yet caught it with the lace front yet they're getting there, but um they're they're more they excel in other areas, whereas like right now, the jon renau, even the aesthetica, all the other companies are really excelling in their lace. Fronts, everybody has something that they do better than anybody else, which i mean. Renee paris gave us alba. So the theme in the spring was cap size! Everybody came out with petites and larges and expanded styles that they already have but expanded into the different sizes. So i think the theme for fall is color color. Yes, so estetica is adding colors. They already make to some styles that they didn't make in that color. So they're expanding the color line and so is jon renau, and that is all i know more to come more to come so just watch. We will post it on the wig chicks group. It is she i've known peggy for years now, she's worn everything from short to long from purple, to white, to blonde to red. That was the most natural beautiful. She just looks you look first of all, you look so happy yeah well, and so, what's that saturday night, like it was sometime this weekend, misty was like you're, not even on facebook, so she just screenshotted and she she emailed me her picture before she posted it And i was like: oh my goodness, i mean not that she, you don't always look pretty peggy, you do. We know we love you, but i mean that picture your your eyes. Everything was just so beautiful and you're right. She looked happy. She didn't look happy. She deserved, she has had a rough year and things are going great, so i'm just really glad to share that all right. Well, thank you guys, we'll see you next week same time same place.
