So it's here i promised everybody that i would show you that new 1923 biscuit shade on the flirting with fashion. As soon as i received it, i just got it in last night: can't wait to show it to you coming up. Many of you will recall that, in my original review of this style i wore the rl1923ss shaded biscuit. I wasn't quite happy with the of the blackness of the root and the fact that it was a little warmer and readier in tone that i was typically used to for that color. So i decided to go ahead and order. The unrooted version of that color, which is just the 1923 biscuit, believe it or not. I had never reviewed this color before i have seen it in other reviews and in passing and from memory i just felt like it was kind of a flat platinum color that i just didn't really get excited about for wigs that i was going to personally wear Now the base color on this is still a cool platinum. I'M really really happy with this color. I really like the layering of the color, the multi-tonal layers, going on i'm going to do a side by side for you a little bit later in this video, but i would love to hear your comments on this color. Have you tried the regular biscuit? Do you like it? What do you like about it or what don't you like about it, i'm just really pretty thrilled with it. I am not going to be afraid to order this again. I think it's beautiful and i always love getting a second uh piece in that same style because based on just one piece, i never know if what i'm observing may just be on the piece that i have or is it a pattern among the this, the the Pieces in this style, so a couple of things - i don't notice any factory silicone on this style. If you remember on the 1923 ss, it was heavily laden and dressed with a silicone from the factory, and although i know that that's going to rub off or wash out um it just, it makes a difference when you first get it out of the box. Doesn'T it it looks kind of greasy and dirty to me? It'S also very important to see how the cap fits. This is one of the areas that we can see variances in now, raquel welch, especially the recent styles by raquel welch, seem to fit average to average large the best i struggle to get a good fit on a petite petite average circumference. With this piece, though, i recognized in my original review that it was more average that i didn't have to cinch in the adjusters as much to get a nice secure, fit it's the same way with this style. So, ladies, if you are used to raquel welch caps and you depend on them to be larger, to accommodate a larger circumference, you may pause on this one just because i now have two pieces that are very average. I didn't have to cinch in the adjusters to get a nice fit for my petite average circumference. So when you have a platinum, color like this too, they have to be very careful in how they construct the cap so that the cap doesn't show through. This is such a light color. So what you'll see is that, on these kind of unrooted, platinums you'll probably always see like a light, beige or cream colored cap underneath now there's that monofilament part, which looks very very nice. The knotting is very fine. The lace front is beautiful and fine um, but if you part it anywhere other than that monofilament, you will run the risk of seeing through to some of the webbing on that cap. So you you just want to make sure that you're not parting it outside of that parting space. Okay. So let's talk about consistency of the style. I think this is a just an absolute doppelganger to the style that i received before and the other color. All the measurements are the same. The hair reacts the same. What i'm noticing, even more here, is just these very much tapered and texturized layers, especially here at the front. Remember i was having trouble using the heat from my hand, to develop, lift and contour at the front on the other one. It was the same way with this one, and i've come to realize that when these fibers are taken down and texturized so heavily, they lose a little bit of body. That'S not a bad thing. It really gives a nice wispy light texture to peel, which is very consistent with this style. It'S just that, i'm not getting the lift that i want. So what i did was i heated up my hot air brush and i um once it was heated up and it's a very low heat anyhow. I just put it there and i kind of did a little bit of contouring right there at the root on both sides of where i felt like i wanted to part it um. I may have to do it again a couple of times, because you just already noticed that these fibers just aren't they're just not having it um and it's going to take a little pass of, maybe some steam or something to get it to to lift and contour. I think that this style is meant to be pieced out. That may be that off of the face. Look is gon na take a little bit of product to keep it in place, but i would love just to see this pieced out, maybe not flat straight down, but just pieced out and kind of contoured over that eyebrow, but still fluff and get a little bit Of lift on the top, i think that is just beautiful and i think it'll hold pretty well too. I find that i can fluff up some volume at the root on this style and it doesn't immediately fall back down. That is not due to an inordinate amount of permatease. It has a nice moderate amount of permatease. Very well done it's just that these fibers are conducive. This is the true to life fiber by raquel welch, which is heat friendly. I know this is a very polarizing subject. I don't often like to go there and say that i love these fibers because i always get the backlash you know, but my experience has been good with these fibers. I am not out there wearing them every day. Like you are, though, so, based on my user experience, i love them. I think they act much like human hair. I think they feel beautiful. It has like a velvety cuticle um and they feel very luxurious. Okay, but uh in terms of maintenance. I know that there are some struggles. This is a real win for us guys because we can have the beauty of the heat friendly fiber in a very practical length that maintenance issues really shouldn't be a problem. You

Abigail•Rose: Just found your channel about a week ago and I adore you! This color is fabulous on you! I love the biscuit with a darker root as well. You’re so beautiful!

MichelePearl: I have had this color and it looks lovely but still a fan of the “old” shaded biscuit. Having said that I adore this style, and the length. Very edgy.

Mint: Hi Taz, that wig can go casual or elegant so easily. I think the shaded root would be beautiful if lighter. As always, you presented it beautifully. ❤️, Sharon xo

Marlene's Wig & Chat Studio: Thank you so much, Taz! I’ve had many members on the FB say the same as you in reference to SB . I’m posting your video on the page. It will be so helpful to many that wear these colors. Thank you! XOXO

Jessica Vezina: You’re right! As much as I love the rooting, that one is just a bit too much/too dark. If that were my real hair, I would be crazed to get into the salon because of too much root showing! Sad because the Shaded Biscuit is my favorite.

Ros Gates: Love this style on you Taz. Thanks for your awesome reviews. I’m just learning about wigs and you are a treasure trove of information

Linda Anderson: Great presentation. Love the two colors next to each other. Love the honesty of your reviews. Have a great day!

Anthony's Wig Spot: I hate being negative when it comes to colors so I’m going to be brief here I hope this is ok to say because overall I love the color. I had to stop buying shaded biscuit because I couldn’t deal with the major swing in the platinum highlights from style to style it drove me nuts I never considered the biscuit color alone though this opened a new door to explore.

Suzanne Dawson: YES! That is fabulous on you! Style, color....absolutely everything! ❤️ I too, have a petite/average circumference and I really appreciate a snug fit. You’re right!!!! OMG the comparison really made the roots look black. Too harsh! I do with that shadow was much lighter Please tell me again, how I can find the names and colors of the wig ladies you show in your background. Thanks so much, Taz❤️

Angelsangst: I’m not a fan of dark roots, anything under 10. Shadow shading is ok, but not the dark band across the hair line. RW does a nicer line, but not for me. That colour looks really nice, similar to Black Tie Blonde? Oh by the way the Belle Tress Devocion...would you believe I have an allergy to something in it? I’ve been a wig wearer for 25 years and this is a first for me, red lumps all over my head. It’s been washed but still causes the lumps. I’m a huge fan of JR heat friendly, but haven’t tried the RW yet. My stockist in Australia has just started carrying the brand, so that’s next on the bucket list.

Nancy Mayer: I just love watching your reviews and channel. This is a beautiful piece! If you ever want to part with the shaded biscuit I’ll be first in line! Love the look!!

Carol Powell: Taz, thank you for your review of RW Biscuit, I have been tempted many times to try it. I usually get the Shaded Biscuit, but it is usually hit or miss with the color having a lot of platinum or not. I feel like I’m wading through all these blond colors by different wig companies! Your reviews help, and that’s a no for biscuit. Color looks washed out, almost gray

The Indecisive Wig Wearer: Very thorough info on this style! So pretty. Thank you Taz!

Melissa F: These videos are very helpful. Thanks so much! I have began making a game of your videos... find an ugly wig then see if you reviewed it and be amazed by how lovely it looks on you. Is there nothing that doesn't look lovely on you?

Valerie Noyes: I think this style is just so adorable and it looks great on you! I wish they hadn't mucked up SS Biscuit so much though. I don't think I'd be happy with Biscuit without any rooting and that huge black root is ridiculous. Why or why do they always have to mess with a good thing? Couldn't they just have created another color? I'd try the 17/23SS with the long coffee name but I'm afraid the root will be just as dark and long. My natural hair was only ever a light drab brown to start with so nearly black roots look wrong, and even more so now that I'm in my 60s. Cute as this is I may have to pass on it.

Brenda Gregory Yuen: I ordered this style in Shaded Biscuit! I look forward to seeing if it's for me. I've also received BellTress's Cherry and I love it (in Butter Beer Blonde). It's a nice shorter version of RFTO, which I also love to wear in Shaded Biscuit. This style is a little out of my comfort zone, but I thought I could take a chance and hope it works for me too. :) Take care, Taz.

Sandra G. McAlister: Love this wig, and i like this color better than the other one! Thanks Taz, have a bless day!!

Connie Steve: Nice!! Love the color better than shaded! Happy that the cap is larger. Reminds me a bit of Noriko Skye, except a beautiful lace front! Thanks for your review❣

Rachel Welch: I L-O-V-E this color on you! Looks like fresh from the salon color! ♥️

luckystars2000: I have to say, the side-by-side comparison makes it look like somebody left that SS biscuit in the oven a bit too long!

Jean Jacobs: Greetings Taz! Such a variation in color tones! I do like the new one best. Blessings ❤️

Darlene Russo: I love 19/23 Buscuit. I have several in this color and I add depth with root coloring and have even toned one more ashy. Born a natural blonde this color works great with my natural skin tone. 18/23 SS roots are too blackish forme.

Jean Sanderson: Love the colour Biscuit as opposed to the rooted one. I hate to see dark roots its better to have just a slight colour difference at the root. I have straight up with a twist in Biscuit, and just by adding a little eye shadow at the top it gives me the sort of root l like , and of course it just washes out.. Thank you for showing them both , like you say there's no many tutorials on just the biscuit. xxx

Maria Daquila: I love biscuit. It’s a great color now that my roots are almost all white. This wig is beautiful on you Taz! Great comparison!

Samm Stevens: Lovely colours, I just bought the RW Upstage Elite & Editors Pick Elite. I like the rooting I just wish like many other people that the roots weren't quiet so dark. I am going to try spraying the roots with dry shampoo to see if that makes any difference, maybe that will just lighten it slightly, fingers crossed, Keep those video's coming Many thanks for all your hard work, we all appreciated it Stay safe xx

brisk4u: I know this is an old post, but what bothers me about the dark roots is that I am a natural dirty blonde so my roots are never that dark, I wish that they would also allow you to choose the root color, I think that would help immensely. I would love a lighter root on the blonde shades. I came here to look at an unrooted color most roots are too dark for me.

Cheryl The Pearl: I think you made a great choice with the unshaded biscuit. Pretty. Can’t wait to get mine in the iced cafe latte!

Jan Griesmer: That color is beautiful! I am generally not a fan of short hair on me, but I think this Flirting with Fashion is going to make me look good. I ALWAYS appreciate your in-depth reviews. I almost never buy a wig without checking for a review from you.

DeDe Millikan: Hi Taz, I also loved the Shaded Biscuit without roots, I have it in my UNFILTERED by RW , great color! Love it on u too

Shelly F: Hi Taz. I agree that the root is too dark on the shaded version. You look great in this new one! Thanks for all these great videos! Shelly

Marion Muolo: It is stunning! The ladies of Las Vegas say this is definitely a casino evening style and shade!

Gönül Ünal: They all look amazing on you ❣️

Investigator77: Strangely enough, I like the Shaded Biscuit better on you, than just the Biscuit. It's more edgy and dimensional, and suits you better in my humble opinion. I'm not a fan of this style though. I love RW, but this looks like too much hair on you. Thank you for doing these great review Taz, and showing us the diff in color. They are so helpful!

Janet Confer: Love it, the color and style is great.

Deborah Luongo: Taz I like the way you style that it look great on the left as well as on the right. It seems like it's coming into its own now. Very pretty wig. I love it myself, I think it's just a little too expensive I ordered trendsetter in 28 S +. Can't wait to see it. But I like this one because it is a little bit longer than the trendsetter. Will be keeping my eye on this one :-) great review.

lil poohbear: I love the darker rooting...suites me better as everyone i know knows I have dark brown hair naturally...I do no roots it just look bland...but that is just me

Holly Kurtz: I hated had fibers with a passion due to a bad experience with my first one but now I’m on board. I think RW does an outstanding job with their TTL fibers. Thanks for a great video,Taz! The uprooted is so much prettier!

romantic horror: Biscuit without those dark roots wins the day! Looks so much more natural, imho

Phyllis Niese: Gonna go out on a limb here, but I am one of the few who like the shaded biscuit the best. I like how it gives the color more depth and even a bit of sassiness?Maybe I have a warped sense of style, but then, I am so glad that manufacturers give us so many choices to satisfy all of our different tastes. Thanks so much for the comparison, makes it so much easier to chose a style that is just righht for me!

gina: Love you without the rooted versions!

Terri Simonsson: I absolutely Love the color Biscuit. If you could add rooting to the part It would be Perfect :)

Paula Smith: Love the edgy style of the wig. I really like the rooted the best

Mary Hipp: Hi Taz, I like the shaded Biscuit but it would be much better if the shading was not so dark. The the unshaded style, it looks like some of the blond coloring in the back is an odd color of blonde. Maybe it is the lighting. Both nice styles and look great on you. Thanks for sharing.

JJ Renae: Taz, on this style which one of these 2 colors do you prefer? I tried it in shaded biscuit and I agree with you on the long dark root, and not enough platinum. Plain biscuit (Lol) may be worth a try though. I think the platinum is more obvious without that dark root which is a good thing. On shaded biscuit, all you can see is that root on this style. I love rooted colors but this one is a little much.

Pamela Prescott: Great comparison Taz , I have to agree the Shaded biscuit is much too dark. I like the cut and hairstyle on biscuit much better but it seems to be awfullyl light at least on you on my screen.

Gin Gin: I prefer the non rooted. It's gorgeous

Monika's Beauty & Lifestyle: Very pretty. I still prefer shaded cappuccino. Flirting with Fashion looks great on you.

Pamela Ullery: Hey Beautiful Taz, of course you look beautiful in both wigs. When you compared the Rooted wig almost looks less textured, and cut a bit different. What do you think? Also could you cut a very small bang? Love watching you and often have taken your advice, we are all very lucky to have you doing these Vids. Thank You!

Wyzer Now: I like the solid (Biscuit) much better than the rooted (Shaded) one. I’m in agreement with you, this newest shaded color has a root that’s much too dark. Thank you so much for your honest reviews.

Frances Wright: Love the rooted one best!

sougo salzmann: wow really nice, thx for the Presentation

Melissa DeFalco Menge: I love the comparison. I would prefer the Shaded version if the roots weren't soooooo long and dramatic. How do the roots on other styles compare? I don't remember noticing them all over or in the back especially. Is it just the style showing what was under there all along? Or, is it that wig itself?

Peggy Osburn: gorgeous as usual. you look can look beautiful in anything.

JesusLives888: I like the rooted version better. The unrooted (the first one) sort of washes out your skin tone a just a little. I was just wondering if your skin is warm or cool-toned.

Diane Fitzpatrick: You look great in every wig!,,, Me... not so much. I don’t like rooted wigs. My natural hair is a pretty grey (but very thin) without roots.

Lana Leah: Both look great on you but I love the darker root better.

Susan Boulerice: Honestly, I find the Biscuit to be brassy looking .... if it was my bio hair I would be using a purple shampoo or have a toner put in. I prefer the depth with the rooting but like most others, I find the rooting too dark. Great style though.

Gin Gin: Gosh that rooting is dark. I love the uprooted better.

Victoria Scelfo: Have liked this style since it came out. In this color the root is too dark..BUT THE non rooted one on the top and part area look really fake. No discernible mono part & the crown area definitely looks like a wig. Not much dimension in color.I have worn heat friendly fibers for yrs, in a cpl of diff brands, including RW. I wear wigs daily. ( normally short hair..above shoulders). I prefer the fibers in HF ( or is it HD) wigs. No issues, more natural looking; less fly aways, wash great, a few extra styling options. Even after 5 yrs with my first RW HF piece, it still looked great. I wore it everyday for two of those 5 yrs..then just began to buy diff wigs and styles. I use a teaspoon of clear ammonia in rinse water and spray while wet with HD wig conditioner OR unscented fabric softener, then dry hanging upside down. No frizzing on ends. And yes I use contour cream and wig spray in all my wigs, without issues.

TIme Enough: Hi Taz....have not tried this color but just ordered this style in the 613ss...hope the roots aren’t too black. Love the style! ♥️

Sheri Foley: Gorgeous style

Cheryl The Pearl: Received my wig today but could tell right away it was not the color for me, iced cafe latte. Hard to tell colors on the website but with the coffee names, I should have known it was too ashy brown. I emailed wig studio and I’m hoping I can exchange it for a lighter color. ‍♀️

LeeAnn Bagley: I really like the length of this wig does it have lots of permatease on top ? I purchased RW in voltage and it has too much permatease for me. How do they compare? Thanks for any info.

Glenda Mock: What hair spray do you use on your wigs? Please and thanks

angela searls: Like the biscuit better, you make it look like real hair beautiful

megan ryan: ❤️

C C: Really pretty wig...i have read it is low density...your thoughts ?

Suz: Coudln't stop looking at the wig on the 2nd shelf down, to my left, 1st wig....LOVE IT!!! .....sorry I wasn't paying attention to the rest..my bad xoxo

Sue Davis: Nice! Very Jane Fonda
