Cut long pieces of thread, I usually cut one meter and 10 threads for one bundle it's most comfortable for me. You may try more as you wish. Next the need to untwist all the threads here. I have untwist it already. Next, you need to straighten them in a whole bundle. It work not very well, so I prefer to straighten 5 threads at one time and when Italy separate it easier much easier to straighten you need make not that much effort. So here is what we have straighten and on straightened. Next, I already have straightened. You need to remove cutted edges from one and another side because they contains a lot of short fiber just hold the edges. Hold your strands and pull here is what I have and from the other side, mmm catch, so that later you can use it for making sure tweets. Here is what I have as you can see it have. It has lawn fiber. I tried to save as much lawn fiber as I can so hold. The edges hold another edges between your fingers and pull again catch the edges lock its between fingers and pull and repeat it until you get all the fiber. So here is short edges and here is the fiber. I see them same way I going to get here from here to make process faster. I fold it in half and started doing the same, hold strands in one hand, log edges between fingers and pull. And again, I put it here and again pull and pull so you need to make it to make it for whole length. I already have almost finished here is what I have someone model, and here is the rest of these long strands so unfold and finish pulling and again and and - and so here is what I have same - I have short caught it edges from this bundle. I'M going to save these long fiber again, yeah almost done yes done so here it is short. Manchas Gibson here is short edges. Here is oh the hair. Next, I want to save again lon fiber as much as I can just hold and pull and pull and pull yes did here and from the other side too. Yes, next, I need to brush it to remove all the short fiber and to remove all knots from the other side too. On this stage, the more you brush the most here I try to show you. I have different colors, I used three. Oh sorry, I have three colors for this mixed own and you may see pink and ivory, so the more you brush the more it mixed into one color I already have it done brushed proper here it is here, is how it looks here is what you have So from 10 meters of my yarn, I have this bundle. These short edges and here is all waste and how it looks brushed, not a big amount, but from few weeks you may get enough short hair for one short week. So I'm not going to put it into a trash bin, and here is - I already have washed acrylic. So the last stage I put these in water and let it dry so here is completely dried hair and the last stage before making whipped I'm going to brush it. As you can see, there is no need to use hair straightener. The fiber is already straight trying to focus and in my opinion it looks more natural and less fluffy, then non washed. Here, it's really hard to show it on camera, but maybe maybe maybe home can I get so here is left. One is just brushed and this is washed: it's not so fluffy, it's more separate and easier to work and eat, but it's mean a lot for me. So this is all I have to say. If you have questions, ask me:

dorknoodle1: I can’t wait to try this. It looks a lot more efficient than the standard method. The instructions are easy to understand - thank you for making this tutorial! : )

I stole this pfp sorry: You can use the fluff from the brush for needle felting or stuffing. Thank you for the tutorial!

Miss Mercurial: For those wondering about the yarn: it is a LACE/SOCK weight. That's why the strands are smaller to begin with (most yarn weight in craft stores in the USA is category 4 - lace/sock weight is category 0/1).

Apple Mae Tabios: Should've come across your tutorial sooner thank you so much for this!

Laynie Fingers: This is great! Also, I was making wefts with a particular acrylic yarn and it just wasn't cooperating. For some reason, the fiber just didn't want to get smooth. After a LOT of experimentation, I wound up turning the heat on my straightener way down and pulling on the fiber pretty hard, which resulted in a stretched fiber- I gained between half an inch and three quarters of an inch, which honestly surprised me a lot! Experiment! You never know what you might find out! Edit: also, you could just work directly from the skein, which would avoid a lot of those short bits you're left with! Edit #2- never mind. Working directly from the skein didn't work so well.

Rebecca Clark: FANTASTIC. I was looking exactly for this. You're a genius. !!!

Oddity: You are a life saver! I've been trying to make a Donna Noble doll from a Disney Princess Toddler doll and couldn't get the hair long enough.

bunniesbysarah: This is fantastic! I can't wait to try it. I've got acrylic yarn but it isn't crochet yarn. If it doesn't work, then hopefully I can find the right colors to match. Thank you for sharing!

Trisha H: What a great technique, so little waste and it looks brilliant

candy_c0rn_cat: This is so helpful I’m so excited to use this video to make a wig

Nepeese: Ohhh I was searching for this for sooo long!!! you made my day!

𝑑𝑜𝑙𝑙 ⋆˚⸝⸝‬: this is so incredibly smart, thank you for sharing!!

BiromannyTransiee: Yo dude! Thanks, I was looking for a tutorial how to make wigs with VERY thin yarn and found this might use this tutorial soon when i have enough budget to make a doll!

Mazais Ļenuļis: Amazing tutorial!

minakshi soni: I will definitely try it.

TristanReveur: How long does it end up being on the dolls head? I use the standard method, and it usually doesn’t get longer than shoulder length.. but it looks like your yarn is “stiffer” than mine. I use it for crochet but works for knitting as well. Maybe too soft/shorter fibers? Thank you for this idea!!

glenjaminrex: What size yarn was this when you first got it? Was it a regular worsted weight yarn you used? I tried this with a size four that I unraveled using a drill but they didn’t look good like yours. I’m wondering if maybe I need to use more heat when I straighten it the first time!

Matta s: Hi I have a few questions! I reeeeeaallly want to use this method to make a Rapunzel wig and it has to be really long, like I’m talking 2 meters at least. My question is is that possible or will the hair just like fall apart or something? If so what if I maybe braided it, would that maybe work? Also does the hair like shrink a lot when you pull the fibre like you did in the video? I’m veeery new to this method I just discovered it like an hour ago so I don’t know exactly how it works but I’m totally obsessed with it

James Arthur: Do you know if this technique will work with wool yarn? Not synthetic yarn?

Soonie 842: Is there any method to make it longer?

Trinity Seven: Anyone know which brand would be a good equivalent to get in the US, cause i cannot find that brand here for the heck of it. I tried other chunky yarns and the method works with that type too, but some just do not look as silky.

s o: What brush are you using? Me and my friends want to cosplay and make our own wigs, but we can't seem to find the right brush

Devirot: May I ask how you do the fringe? I did mine and hair was stiff and doesn't follows the shape of the forehead :( ... do you also use the straightener with that?

Jasmine Deecke: What do you wash the fibers in? Do you use dish soap, shampoo, just water?

Killthe Lynchpin: Thank you!

ekf5018: I wonder if there’s a way to use this technique for a wig you need down to the hips?

Animefangirl2.0 _: If I don’t have a straight iron, could I use hot water and comb it out?

Michael Cosplay : What the good method to gum it to eva foam ? im currently doing my Super saiyan hair with yarn.

OddAndAbout: It looks like hair but does it actually feel like hair? Also does it get tangled easily? I did a few strands it's nice but it doesn't feel like hair and I don't know if it's the yarn I'm using

cin: Hey, I just tried this and when I pull I'm only getting really short bunches of fiber out of the edge. Help!

Cristian Joel: Yo rerooting tool dolls needles gracias yarn bonita

Lady.Uranium: How do you wash the yarn in water?

FlowerBloom: Doesn't the heat burn the yarn? Could I use straighten on acrylic yarn?

Waffle: Your English seems a little broken, but I could still understand so it’s all good! Can’t wait to try this method out!

Eros Gael o Anjo: I nerd use in reborn dolla, ia right? I van use this Fiber for reborn?

Cristian Joel: Hola dorian the elf yarn ok
