I Moved!! New Salon Tour | Xrsbeauty Hair

What you mean you don't know Panda she's dope. What is Poppy YouTube welcome back to my channel, it's your girl, the best Hannah, and today I am finally giving you guys a new salon tour. Most of you guys know that I have recently moved into a new space. You guys can tell, by the background just a different vibe um, and so I'm excited to share my space with you guys, I'm not fully done decorating um but yeah. I'M willing to give you guys just like a little glimpse of what I've been up to so before we jump into this video. I do want to give a big shout out to XRS beauty hair. I am currently wearing their 18 inch layered Edge wig. It is a single knot, clear hairline wig - that literally is undetectable so with a clean hairline, it's much better than a pre-plucked, just because it looks a lot more natural and you guys can see how that's literally just melting into my skin, absolutely love that this wig Density is 150.. The single knots are a lot less visible than a double knot, wig, which is typically what we get and with the clear hairline. It just makes it easier for the hair to melt to the skin. I absolutely love it for a person like me who does not do wigs guys. This unit is so easy to work with, which is why I always love working with this company. So if you guys want to check this unit out, it is super, affordable, 150 density. 18 inches. I will make sure that I link everything in the description section for you guys so yeah, let's get back into the video, so a lot of people have been asking me um what led me to be in a new salon. What made me switch? The question is literally what took me so long. The last line I was in, I loved it, because the location was amazing um, it was super affordable, but from working there um. That was actually my first one that I ever worked in and I was super grateful to have my own room there, but I just realized, like I didn't really like being told what to do, and I really needed a space where I can really just come and Go do my own thing not have to worry about anything, so I knew that more of a Salon, Suite style type of thing, would be a better option for me um. What really lit a fire under my butt is that our salon owner decided that she wanted to focus on permanent makeup: lash techs, scalp micropigmentation. That'S all of the things that she's amazing at and so she gave us four months to basically find a new space, and so I stumbled upon salons by JC. I already have a really big clientele, so I really don't need a space to bring clientele to me because obviously I have a social media presence. But if you are someone who does not have a large clientele or you're still looking to build clientele, then that's really really important. You made me to Mentor under someone or you may need a location where you will get be able to get walk in. So I think, with the Salon Suite type setting a lot of people here have their own clientele, even though there are opportunities for you to get more by giving out business cards or leaving your business cards in the front. I feel like in order to go into a Salon Suite like you, definitely need to have a clientele so for me um. I really had to look at my numbers like okay. You know how much am I charging per style, because obviously, I'm still here to make a profit and because my rent literally tripled, I'm like, I need to make sure that it makes sense for me and it did so. I think that I was definitely ready to move into a Salon Suite where I had my privacy, so I literally Googled Salon Suites in my area, and this was one of the options that popped up I came. I literally did a tour. They only had one Suite available, which is the suite that I'm in right now and it was a double suite, which means that it's made for two people um. That did mean that my rent was gon na increase. But you know I was like I need my own space y'all know I'll, be left, Chic, right, chicken and doing all type of stuff, so I decided to take it literally the day that I came to see it um and so far I absolutely love this space. I don't think I could have made a better decision for myself. So with that being said at my last Salon, I was paying around 600 a month here, I'm paying around 2 000 a month. So it is a price increase, but I think that um also the the experience for my clients - have increased um just with customer service with the facilities that are offered in my space. So with that being said, I'm super excited to show you guys my nude all right guys so we're gon na start with our front desk section our entry when you first walk into the salon um there are business cards to your right, there's a receptionist desk. Typically, there is a receptionist working there from like nine to five and they literally have the best customer service, they'll direct your clients to your room. Sometimes they bring them there for you. They help with laundry. They literally just help with anything meeting our front desk manager was literally one of the reasons why I chose the spot because her customer service was just so spot on, and I love that my clients are always greeted when they come in also the front door locks After hours and early morning, so I really really love that for security purposes, there's a call box, so we can let our clients in super bomb. Next, when you walk through there's a lounge area, love the water fountain, because I always fill my water bottle and I literally never have to buy water. But this Lounge area is for your clients to sit if they're waiting for you. Let'S just say you have another client in your room already or if you do color services and a client is like processing, then they can sit in this area. They have a Keurig where you can get coffee tea, water, hot chocolate, y'all literally. This is my favorite feature because I'm a Starbucks girl, so every morning I will go to Starbucks, and so when I need to save a little bit of money, I literally come over to the Keurig and, like literally, do my thing: um it's available for both us And for our clients, so they also really really love that and yeah. It'S just a super clean calming environment and area. I just love that this space is available. Obviously we have both the men's and women's bathroom on this side. The facilities are always so clean because they have people who come in at night and clean for you so yeah it's just. This is like a wow factor for my clients. I was like, oh my God. This is so nice, okay, Karen there's me in the mirror. Don'T be looking at me all this is looking crusty this day, but yeah. So a movie Ride Along. They have a shampoo room where you can wash your towels your aprons, all that um they provide the dryer sheets. They provide laundry detergent. Literally, you get your magnet and you stick it on your washer or dryer that you're using and sometimes they'll even fold your laundry for you, it's literally so bomb. I love this because my last Salon, I have to take my step home and I would always forget it, so I love having this here for us. So now we are going to get into My Salon Suite like I said this is a double suite, so it is meant for two people, but I like to have a lot of space and at the time this was the only sweet that was available. So this is the one that I got but ta-da Here's My Salon Suite that you guys always see me on live with now um, starting off with this first wall. I have both my cosmetology license and my business certificate, and I also finally hung my YouTube plaque that I literally got like four years ago for reaching 100 000 subscribers. I literally never put it on display. It was nicked up because y'all it's been through moves and all type of stuff, so I'm happy to finally be able to display that next I just kind of have like a product display y'all do not make candles. Everybody always asks that I literally found these candles at Ross and they match so perfectly, so I put them up there but um. It'S so important when you have a Salon Suite or any type of Salon space to have your products on display, because a lot of my clients are always like. I didn't even know you had moves, I didn't even know you had edge control so yeah. I love that they're able to visibly see what I have next. I have my clean towels that I keep rolled up in this little hamper um and then obviously this is my setup that my clients see when yeah or that you guys see when I'm doing my client's hair so um the salon actually provided the chair. I put the cushion on the chair y'all because when I went to go get my hair done in DC, my butt was literally on fire and I was like I will never do this to my clients, so I actually um put the cushion in there. I got it off Amazon, and this is my own mat that I already had, but slimes by JC will provide you with a chair, a mirror and a storage cabinet. So, that's literally all that I had when I one I actually don't know if they'll provide you with the mirror, but I feel like she told me that I actually purchased my own mirror off of Amazon. So next I have my hair vacuum and my trash can that I literally um the hair vacuum I got off. Amazon trash can is from Target and then I hung hooked so that I can hang up my aprons, my jackets, all that good stuff, and then I have my salad trays and I finally have my iPad on the wall, which I love. I wanted to do a full-blown TV thing, but I just feel like yeah yeah. All of that is not necessary, so this area is looking fairly plain right now, on top of where my iPad is like in that top area, I kind of want to put aside. I'M just really taking my time to make sure that whatever I do um, I really love it. So next is my hair wall. This is my favorite. I'Ve been dying to have my hair hanging on a wall for so long um. So obviously this is my own collection, the dope collection. I provide all natural colors, 613, 27, 34., um, 1B, 1, 2 and yeah. I think that's everything um, so I have all of my hair on display. Once again, it's just amazing to have your products on display for your clients to see um, because they always ask me what hair are you using girl? Stop asking me that period. You know I hear I'm using. I have those hanging by those like command strip, clear things I didn't want to get a black grid wall just because I feel like it takes away from the aesthetic. So I love how it's hanging this back wall once again, I'm not really sure what I'm gon na do with that. So it's super plain and then my room has a sink um. Obviously, it seems to wash my hands in and I sink to wash my clients and then they provided me with the chair. That goes with the sink and then lastly, is like my little Lounge area um. Everything that I purchased in the section actually came from Ross, except for, like the braid, the the lady right there that came from Jamaica, my husband thought it was really creepy and I thought it was like super Afrocentric. So I wanted to bring it to the salon, and my beautiful flowers are from one of my favorite clients Kevin, who literally is moving to Florida and so yeah. And then I have a couple storage things underneath this bench right now. Just because, like I needed a place to put them um, I actually need more storage space in my room. So hopefully I'll get like some type of storage cabinet salons by JC does provide you with like a roller cabinet um. That is not in my room. Currently right now, but I do need more cabinet space, so I'm just gon na figure out what I want to do with that, my caddy that you guys see in the corner. I actually got off Amazon um, I like it, but I don't like how all of the products that I use are exposed just because I feel, like it kind of looks tacky, but this is pretty much my room guys. I want to keep it not super cluttered. Like a lot of space, but looking at that, like I know, two people can just not fit in there like not with me, because I like me my space, so I think that this is the perfect perfect size for me, but obviously there are cheaper options. If you guys don't want to pay 5 30 a week or whatever it is that I pay um, you can get a room that is fairly smaller, but I love my space and when I fully decorate it I'll definitely come back and show you guys. So a lot of people have actually asked my advice and how to pick a slime to work in or what are some things that I personally am looking for, and I think it's really important for you to assess where you are in your journey and your career. In whatever part of the industry you're in a couple of things that are very important to me when I'm looking for a space is number one location, I know typically where my clients are coming from. So I want to make sure that I'm in an area that will cater to a majority of my clients, in addition to that, I'm also just looking like is the area safe because, typically I'm at the salon at really late hours so like I don't want to Be in an area where people are may not comfortable coming to, especially if I'm going to be offering evening appointments the next thing I'm looking at is: do I need a space that is going to offer um education to me, or am I looking for a space? That'S going to bring clientele to me because those are really really important for me. I can kind of do the education outside on my own. Lastly, the last couple things um privacy - is a big thing for me when I'm live recording I cannot have a space where music is playing on an overhead um, so I definitely needed a space where it was Private. I could shut my door. I can kind of do my thing and be on live and I have to worry about copyright or anything um and then just like not having to worry about people being in the camera, while I'm trying to record um, that's really important and big. For me, the last thing, and one of like the biggest things for me, is really literally just like the vibe of the place that I'm at um. If I am working with other people, how are they treating my customers, my clientele? How are they treating me? Do I feel valued literally being in someone's Salon um or you know, do my clients feel like when they walk in they're greeted and it's a good like positive, atmosph, fair environment? That'S really really big for me, and so that is a lot of the things that made me choose to be here at salons by JC. It'S literally been the best Salon. Experience that I've had last thing I wanted to mention was parking. Parking is actually amazing because we are in a big and busy shopping center, so I never have to worry about that parking is Bomb so yeah y'all. That is my full Salon tour.
