Hey everyone. Thank you so much for being here today. My name is Denise. I'M also known as hey wig sister on Instagram and Facebook. Today, I'm here to bring you a brief wig review and a color Spotlight all in one. This wig is Ellen Villa girl, mono. In the color pearl blonde rooted, the code is 101.14.16.. I'M partnering with name brand wigs to bring you this review Ellen Villa just launched three new colors in the girl, mono style. This is one of them. So if you want to know more about this color and the style, even though I've reviewed it in the past I'll touch on it again, stick around so name brand. Wigs is fantastic and they're so responsive and when I heard that these three new colors were coming out, I reached out and just asked them if they'd have any interest in having this Pearl blonde blah blah blah Pearl blonde rooted reviewed, because I just really want a Girl mono in a bright blonde like this, and they were totally willing. So you guys get the benefit of their generosity. We get to see this color together. If you haven't visited them, please go to their website, namebrandwigs.com they're, wonderful! They have so much support. They have a Blog, they put out lots of Education, they allow for a lot of reviews as well. I'M so grateful for them in our wig community and I highly recommend them. I was so excited to review this piece that I didn't even like. Do my full makeup or anything, so you guys are getting to see this without a full face of makeup and all my eyes and everything like that, so it'll maybe give you a good sense of how good this looks without being fully made up. I was just so excited, let's take a look at this one from all sides. Sometimes I get super excited, even though I see lots of wigs, and this is a highly highly anticipated release. So for those of you, who've seen my girl mono review already and you don't feel the need to see another review. You can skip ahead to the color coverage of this and I do have time stamps in the description. So you can just skip right ahead to whatever you want to see. I also want to let you know that I did it out of the box a full out of the box, video, where I show you how I work with a girl, mono fresh out of the box. I know that's a concern. Uh curly, wigs, like girl, mono, can sometimes look a little off uh fresh out of the box. These curls get compacted and smashed and they don't look gorgeous, and so I wanted to show you exactly what I do with a girl model brand new out of the box and how I got it to look like this. All I did was finger comb. It Shake It Out spray it with water scrunch it up. Hang it upside down finger comb it again, and this is the vinyl product no product is in this. I did nothing more than what you see in that out of the box video. So if you want to know more about that I'll link that, in the description as well - okay, girl, mono my all-time favorite shorter, curly wig - I absolutely love this style. These curls are so amazing, they're, so fun they're, really natural. Looking I you know, the front is also super natural looking. I think it just lays beautifully um some people who are new to wigs say that they're a little overwhelmed by this wig, and I think the reason is because of these curls they're, just the curls, go all the way up to the root which I really really Love you just have a little bit up here, but I mean they go really up, and so that gives this the appearance of fullness, but it's not from permatease and it's not from heavy density. It'S just the way. Some curly wigs are this wig. I would consider a light. I really would consider this a light density piece. It does have a little bit of permatease very little, a little coating of permatease all over here. That gives the curls the lift that you see without that permatease this would fall really flat and it would look a little odd with the amount of curl that it has, but it's not heavy permatease and here's how I know this when this was the one of The first wigs I ever felt comfortable wearing earlier in my wig journey. I started wearing wigs and um. I bought my first wigs at the end of September. In 2018 I was wearing girl Mono by the end of November. I loved it. I never had curly hair. I never had thick hair, I loved girl, mono, and so if I could feel comfortable - and I was overwhelmed by a lot of wigs at that time - I think a lot of people can, but if you're not used to it, it may take some time. Your brain will need some training to help. You see yourself in a wig this curly, that's my two cents about girl mono, you can take it or leave it. Girl mono does have a lace front and a mono part. Let'S take a look at the lace front. Now, with this color, which I'll talk about in a minute, they brought all that Platinum up to the front. It does give it a somewhat of a banding effect on this particular piece, but it does help so that you don't see any dark knotting. I love Ellen Villa lace, fronts. I think they do a really good job with them, and this one is a really good one. Now it seems to me that this lace is a little shorter than the Ellen Villa lace sometimes is because I often have to trim my Ellenville lace fronts because they're the lace is just a little bit darker than my natural skin tone, but this one I don't. I'M not seeing that so it seems a little shorter than I'm used to and then it has a left mono part left going to the right, and this is very densely knotted. You really can't see the part line that much. I think it's okay on a curly wig, because normally with people with curly hair, you don't kind of see their their part that much. But if you wanted to see it, you could add a little translucent powder to it to draw it out or you could even pluck it a little bit and that would draw out that part line. I'Ve never felt the need to do that with any of my girl monos. I think it looks natural, but I just wanted to point that out. So this is the lace front and then you've got your mono part nice soft ear, tabs extended nape velcro adjusters. I love the velcro adjusters. They have a they just their caps are so nice. I love um Ellen Villa it's just an awesome. Awesome brand. It'S one of my favorites. I just love the lower density, the soft fibers. These are kind of a lighter denier fiber. So they're they very natural they're, not heavy or stiff or thick. It'S just a super natural lightweight wig. It feels very light on my head, so I just took those adjusters and put them all the way out. So I could tell you how it's fitting me I so Ellen Villa is known to fit more average petite and I even think it might say that on the website I think they've increased their cap size in the last year and a half or so the last Few Ellen Villa wigs, I've gotten have fit me. Like average. Almost I have a 22 inch circumference. I can cinch this cap in a little bit and still be comfortable. It has a lot of stretch. The only place where I think this is running more average petite is kind of over the top. I don't get really extra cap up here at all. This fits my over the head, like it was made for my head, it's very comfortable. So please look in the description of the video to see what my measurements are and compare them to yours. I think this will fit up to 22 and a quarter comfortably circumference even 22 and a half if you're used to wet wigs being a slight tiny bit. Snug, like I said, I can cinch this in a little bit and I'd still be comfortable, and I have a 22 inch circumference, where I think it's going to be. A challenge is the over the top of your head. If you're over the top of your head is measuring bigger, then I think you might struggle. I can't tell you exactly how much bigger than me that's impossible for me to guess, but I would just say I think it'll be okay. If you're somewhat bigger than me, it's not tight on me anywhere, but if you're a true large measurements, I don't know that this will fit you, but I do think true, average everywhere. I think this is going to fit just fine. It really really feels comfortable and doesn't feel small at all, so that's fit fibers, my coverage. You know the coverage on Ellenville, that's the one other area where I would say that the Cap's running a tiny bit smaller is evident. These ear Tabs are really high on me, so this is the ear tab. Here'S my ear. I prefer ear tabs like down here, because that gives me the most coverage for my bio hair. I don't mind it because I just choose colors that I can blend. That'S my bio hair that I can just sort of blend my bio hair, either with or without some root touch up powder and that works just fine, but for for updos you know you can put Ellen Villa Grill mono. You can put these in updos with bobby pins and things. I'Ve totally done that before it's so cute that way, but if you don't get, if you get coverage like I do, you might find that your bio hair is showing that's. Okay, I'm going to shake this out now that I messed it up. That'S okay! As long as you can blend it, but that's the other place where I would say the fact that this runs just a little small is evident, but it's not running small on the circumference. All right can we talk about color now, because that's why I wanted this one Pearl blonde rooted 101.14.16 Ellen villain no longer provides the root number, which makes me sad. But let's talk about the 101.. So 101 is a platinum, an ashy, platinum, color, and you have. The majority of this. Color is the 101., so all that bright, whitish, Platinum, that's the 101 and then interspersed within that is a 14 which is a dark ash blonde and a 16 which is more of a golden blonde. This color is it's hard for me to call it ashy, because it's not, I don't get any hint of Gray from this and sometimes ashy wigs kind of pull a little gray, but it is definitely leaning, ashy neutral to ashy. I really don't see warmth in this at all, and you can see I'm going to step aside here. You can see. Let me pull out some of those darker tones so like right. There is some of the darker 14 16 combo, and so what you've got is a very bright Platinum with dark blonde low lights, essentially woven all throughout this whole piece. You can just see them right. There there's one right. There there's one right here: I'm really hoping the camera's picking it up, and then this is the root is what I would consider a light brown light to medium. What I like about the root is it's not a super warm root, sometimes on these ashy blondes. If you get a really warm root, it looks red. That'S not what I'm seeing here, I'm seeing just a really neutral light to medium brown. It'S not dark at all. They did a lot of diffusing. It'S not Stark, it doesn't look like regrowth, it does look like you get your hair colored and they don't take it all the way up to the root which is really common nowadays, but it's not super dark. Now, when I step away, I think you can start to see some of those darker tones a little bit better, just interwoven in but other than that it's just a bright light. Color for comparison purposes. I'M going to show you! Where did it go pause? I got ta grab a wig for comparison purposes, I'm going to show you shaded biscuit by Raquel Welch, because it's a popular blonde that a lot of people are familiar with. Look at how white this looks next to shaded biscuit. It is a very bright platinum, color, with low lights. It'S Dynamic, but I used to think shaded biscuit was super super blonde. Well, look compared to this. It'S uh very, very blonde. So if you're, looking for a bright Platinum, neutral, leaning, ashy, not too ashy with a root Pearl blonde rooted is so stunning. But if you find shaded biscuit too light for you note that this is going to be quite a bit lighter, but it doesn't look like gray to me. It doesn't pull that, and sometimes these platinums can be a little uh shiny, I'm not personally finding it to be too shiny. I do think, though, some people who are very sensitive to shine might find this little shiny, dry, shampoo, cold water soak. All of that will help all right. You guys, let's get outside and see this beautiful color outside once again. Thank you name brand, wigs for sending me this piece, so I could show everybody. Let me know if you guys have any questions, if I maybe didn't cover the color good enough for you or something else. I will also Link in the description my original girl, mono review, because, if you're looking at the style and you're just on the fence, you can see it in six more colors and you know see how the curl pattern might vary, because there can be variation thanks For watching you guys, I appreciate you so much, let's get outside all right, we are outside and get in some sunlight for you guys getting the sun's at such a weird angle this time of year. Oh, that's still bright, though all right, so you can see I'm hoping because I can't see you at all. Hopefully you can see some of those low lights in this bright, sunlight. Okay, let's move out of the bright sunlight all right. I really hope you saw what you needed to see it's just the most beautiful color. I love this blonde, but it's very blonde. A lot of white Platinum. Okay, thanks for watching

Better Hair, Better You with Sarah: You look gorgeous in this color, Denise!
