Hey everyone. Thank you so much for being here today. My name is Denise. I'M also known as Hey wig's sister on Instagram and Facebook. Today, I'm here to bring you a wig review in partnership with ebonyline. This is outre's Claire from there perfect hairline collection. This is in the color dr4 golden honey blonde. Here is the product card Claire. This has a full lace, top lace front, beautiful curls. If you want to know more about this, one stick around and I will tell you all about it. I am so thrilled to be partnering with ebonyline to bring you this review. You guys have requested more budget friendly, wig reviews from me. I'Ve done a few reviews for wigs that I purchased from ebonyline myself and I reached out to them to ask if they'd like to partner, because it's super expensive for me to keep buying wigs to review. For you guys in these more budget-friendly pieces and they agreed - and they sent me this one, so I could show it to all of you now. This is the product box that it came in nice, big box. It was packaged very, very well. I did do an out of the box for Instagram, which I will tack on the end of this video, some things to know about this piece number one. It has lace that you need to cut. I did do a quick video where I showed you guys. The lace and I cut it for you on camera, so stick around till the end of this video. If you want to see how to do that, but I want you to be aware of that. That is something to do that you will have to do. I'M dripping over my words with this piece. Let'S take a look at it from all sides. You can see it is a long long piece. When I pull all the hair up, you can see I'm standing on my tiptoes so that you can see how long this piece is. It has beautiful curls. So if you're looking for a piece that you can use for styling, you can do updos, you can do half up half down. You can make this into something really fancy and beautiful for date. Night or a fancy event definitely has potential for all of that. The hair fibers on this piece are a little bit on the dryer side. They are heat friendly and I really think every wig, if from this type of genre of wigs, I'm not really sure how to describe it, but but outre and other brands that ebonyline carry are heat friendly for those of you who follow me on all of my Other videos - and you see me - do reviews for all of the major name brands synthetic wigs. You may be aware that heat friendly synthetic have some challenges, because they need some special care due to friction. I think these fibers are just a little bit different from those major name: brands such as belletress and Raquel Welch, and some feedback that I've gotten about. Fibers like this is that they are a little bit heartier than those heat friendly fibers. So if you have typically stayed away from heat friendly because of the care that it requires, I wouldn't necessarily shy away from these now. This is the first piece that I have have reviewed that has curls most of the ones that I've purchased and reviewed were straight. Styles and they were fairly silky. This is definitely a bit different. They do feel drier they're, not super they're, not like straw like or Barbie hair kind of dry, but they definitely aren't on the silky side. So please keep that in mind. I have taken a wide tooth comb and I have combed through this and to try to soften up these curls a little bit as they're, very, very defined out of the box. I have noticed a little bit of tangling, but nothing serious. I'Ve also noticed a little bit of shedding so um. That is something that I notice in longer wigs and in some of these budget friendly wigs is you do get a little bit of shedding? I don't think it's extreme, but it has definitely done a little bit of shedding and even when I'm standing here and I'm talking to you guys and I'm running my hands through, can you see that it does shed some? I don't know if that's just this piece, a challenge with doing reviews is that you get one piece. You don't know if it's typical, so I'm not sure if you'll experience that from everyone from this brand, but in this piece there is definitely some shedding going on. Now, let's talk about this cap and the lace front, so this has a lace front. Let me show that to you so when I lift it up - and I did again cut this lace - and I do show you how to do that - there's lots of ways to cut lace. You guys don't just take my way that I showed you today. Definitely try to find other videos to see what other ways to cut lace. There are out there and find the way that works the best for you, but what I really love about this is this lace. Front goes all the way down to here. So you've got a lot of real estate here to do styling to pull the hair up off of your face. I love that about this. The whole top of this is lace as well, and so you can change the part on this one. Let me grab my wide tooth comb right here and show you guys. So basically it comes as a center part, but you can take your comb and you can change that part to be either side. You'Ve got a lot of space to do that. This is a 13 by five, so the lace is 13 inches here by five inches back, so you definitely have room to change the part. If you do go to change the part and find that it doesn't want to stay, because that's really common with wigs, with a full lace top or mono Top, This is not considered monofilament. It'S all lace. You might sometimes get a little bit see how it kind of poofs up when I try to change that you can take heat to this. Take a hot comb, take even a curling iron, get it hot, and then you could take a comb and then take that barrel of the curling iron. That'S hot run it on here and kind of Chase it with a comb or a brush. You'Ll be able to get that part line to change and lay flat, so that is a tip for you guys now this top. Let me see if I can get it to go back where it wants to go. This top is actually really flat. You can make it flatter by taking heat to it, but it definitely lays really really flat. One thing, I think, that's interesting. Typically, I have not seen permatease in wigs from these brands on ebonyline, but this one has permatease none up here. This is not poofy or full, but it definitely has a light coating of permatease all the way around. I actually appreciate it with this style because of the nature of this style that permatease gives all of this a bit of fullness that really plays up on these curls and waves. So when I put my hands in here, I can feel those crippy fibers all the way around the perimeter of the cap, not um, not heavy, but definitely there, and I want to mention it because I know that some of you guys don't love permatease, but I Want to, I just want to put a plug in for the value of permatease in some Styles and in this one with all of these curls. Without that permatease it would lay super flat, and I do think you want to show off the style of this. A little bit so, let's take a look at this cap. It'S a little bit unique! Now this cap comes with a band. I will show you how to put it on with the band when I put it back on. This can be so useful to help the wig to fit you better and for it to be a little bit more secure. You can always add an elastic band to any cap if you struggle with fit or struggle with them riding up in the back. You do not have to use this, though it lays flat against the cap. So if you want to wear it without the band, sometimes you sure can, or you can cut it off. If you never want to use the band, I really like that they added that. So we've got all of this area. Is lace all the way past the ear tabs? That'S just so awesome. We have combs on either side and a comb in the back. You don't have to use the Combs. They don't really bother me, but if you wanted to cut them off, you sure could in a seam ripper would work really well for that. You do have hook Adjusters in the back here. Black cap is making it hard to see there are your hook adjusters. So you can adjust the size just a little bit if you want to the rest of it is wefted and they're actually fairly close together, sometimes on these budget-friendly wigs, the wefting is a little bit further apart, but it's actually fairly close together on this one, which Is really um? I don't know it just adds to the quality of this piece. I believe it retails for around fifty dollars, or so so it's definitely more of a budget friendly piece. All right, I'm gon na throw this back on. Oh, I got ta show you how to put it on. Let me show you how to put it on so here is that elastic band? What you're going to do is you're going to act just like you normally do and dive into the wig, but you're going to take this band first and you're, going to pull it and stick it down the bottom pull the rest of the back over your head And then pull it up, so you put it on just like you would put on any wig, but you just take that band first and tuck it at the nape of your neck kind of underneath your occipital bone, where you've got a little bit of an indent For those of you who don't have a prominent occipital bone, maybe you've got more of a flat back of your head that can really help, and if you have a wig grip on, especially that makes this wig super super secure. This is not going anywhere with my wig grip, it tucks in right into the wig grip and it works so well, it's so awesome. I love that they added that band. It'S really fantastic! Now the knotting on this wig is visible. It'S not terrible, but it definitely is a little bit visible. Let me get close for you guys. So there's your part line and there's the lace front. I don't think it's too bad, but if you wanted to, you could take a little bit of makeup on that lace front and on that part line to blur out those lines, some translucent face powder, concealer, uh Foundation, whatever works best for you in whatever color seems To be the most natural, I also think that this lace is actually fairly transparent. It'S just a little tiny bit tinted, but look at that. It really Blends well with my skin tone, so I don't think a lot of intervention will be needed. You can cut that lace back as far as you want, so you can leave a little bit or you can cut it all the way to the hairline. Now this piece does have baby hairs. Let me see if I can coax them out, because I sorta push them back up into the wig, because I didn't need them but see all those little baby hairs. It has a whole bunch of baby hairs cut in. So if you wanted to incorporate those baby hairs so that it looked like a little bit more of a natural hairline, you can do that. It'S got a pre-plucked lace, front and baby hairs. I think it looks super super natural and realistic. Honestly. I really really appreciate that about this piece, the fit. Let'S talk about the fit, so I think this is running uh, pretty average. I have a 22 inch circumference. When I have a wig grip on. I have the hook adjusters out all the way to their biggest hook uh, so it fits my 22 inch circumference. Just perfectly when I put this on without a wig grip, I do feel the need to cinch that in just one notch, so I really feel this fits pretty true to average. If you have a bigger than 22 inch circumference and don't wear a wig grip, I think you can get away with this up to 22 and a quarter. It does have some good, don't mind my remote here. It has some good uh decent stretch. It'S not a lot of stretch. I'Ve had wigs much stretchier than this, but it does have a little bit of stretch so if you're, maybe 22 and a half and you're used to wigs being a little snug on you, this might work. But I really don't think it's big head friendly. I don't get a lot of extra cap up here. I don't feel this fits me big. So please look at my description or my measurements in the description, so that you can see how yours compare to mine. I would not get this wig if you are a lot bigger than me. I just don't think this is big head friendly, but I definitely think if you have more average measurements, you should be able to wear this. Just fine and I get really good coverage, because that lace goes all the way beyond the ear tabs. You can style this all the way back, especially if you're going to adhere it. If you're not going to adhere it and you try to do a pull it all the way back, you see how that lace lifts right there. It doesn't lift in the front very much at all, but if you want to style this up, you're going to want to use some sort of adhesive to adhere all the way down, and then that way you can pull this all the way up off your face. In whatever updo you can dream as far as density goes, I would consider this a moderate density wig. It'S not super heavy density, but because of the permatease that I'd already mentioned all around the perimeter and the length and all of these voluminous Barrel curls, it does feel like a decent amount of hair. I would not get this if you're looking for something super low density, but if you are okay with a little bit of density and you think you're going to want to do some styling, this could be a great piece for that totally. I really think this has so much styling potential. Let'S talk about the color, so dr4. Let me remind myself, so I don't get it wrong, dr4 golden honey blonde! This is definitely a rooted blonde. This has a Dark Root. It'S a four and it's a dark four. So next to this blonde, this root looks really dark. It'S a pretty stark contrast, and that is really common in wigs from this brand from ebonyline. You know they do Market it a lot to women of color. You will notice that in all of their marketing in the pictures on these wigs, they are typically marketed to women of color, but they do have wigs that I think kind of span all different types of wig wearers and because this has a relatively transparent lace front. I think it will work for people with lighter skin tones, but if you're uncomfortable with dark roots, you might struggle to find colors. That will work for you unless you go with some of the darker Browns. So please keep that in mind. The color choice and selection is quite limited. This is called a honey blonde and I think that's a really good description. It'S a very warm sort of yellow toned blonde. It has a lot of dynamic highlighting in it. I do show this outside, so you'll be able to see this outside, but it is definitely super warm if you're looking for a blonde that has some ashy tones in it. This is not it for you if you are a brunette looking to go blonde. This definitely is a kind of a yellow toned honey blonde. It'S got caramel in it, maybe even some very warm light brown tones, but it's uh definitely a very, very warm blonde and then take a look at that top again. This is not for my ashy blondes or for someone looking for a cooler tone, even somewhat cooler tone. This is incredibly incredibly warm. Let'S take a look at that one more time back here, all right, so I'm not going to do any styling in this video. I might do a tip Tuesday, showing some styling, if that is, if that's a big request from you guys, I definitely think this is going to be one that is fun to play with and if you're looking for an updo wig if you've gotten a fancy event Coming up or a wedding, or something like that, and you have skills with putting wigs and updos this could be such a fun one. You can also take heat to this if you want to straighten it or if you want to relax these curls or if you want to add some curls more up toward the top since all of the curls start about Midway down, you can absolutely do that. Let me know if you have any questions let's get outside, so you can see this outside and don't forget. I do have the out of the box and the lace cutting on the end of this video thanks for watching, and thank you so much ebonyline for sending me this one. So I could share it with everybody all right, everyone we are outside, so that you can see this in sunlight. Let me back up into the sun here. There'S that rooting very, very warm color right then hope that helped all right. I wanted to give you guys a chance to see this one Straight Out of the Box before I cut the lace on it and talk about that just a little bit um. So this is straight out of the box. I did it out of the box or unboxing for Instagram, and I've done nothing else to this one but cut the tag off of it or the take the tag off. So this is what we've got straight out of the box. You can see it has some baby hairs here. It'Ll be interesting to kind of play with that a little bit and here's the lace. So you can see that this will need to be cut. I will do a quick filming of my me, cutting the lace just so that you can see. There'S lots of ways to cut lace. You can cut it while it's on your head so that you can follow your own hairline. You can cut it when it's off your head. You can use a variety of different tools to cut the lace. So what I show you is just one example and if you've never purchased a wig, where you have to cut the lace, then I encourage you to watch a bunch of videos. Oftentimes people who review wigs for ebonyline or Brands such as outre will show the lace cutting on video, so you can maybe go try to find a few more just to get some other ideas and just figure out what will work best for you. So that's next, and this was out of the box all right everyone. This is like. I said one way to cut the lace. There'S lots of ways to do this. You can put it on a mannequin head. You can do it on your own head and there's lots of different types of scissors. You can use I'm going to use these because I have found them to be really easy to use because they're, nice and small, sometimes I use pinking shears on ready to wear wigs. Like John Renault, I use pinking shears, but I'm finding on these kind of wigs with the softer lace. I like, using these a little bit better, so I like to make a cut right up in the center to sort of split it into two make it a little bit easier for me. Be careful not to cut too far up and start cutting into those that plucked hairline? I would start giving yourself a little bit of space here and room to cut it shorter. Since I'm not doing this on my head, I don't know. What'S the perfect amount is going to be until I get it up against my hairline, and so I want to be cautious not to cut too much. I also don't think you should cut in a super straight line that way when it sits on your forehead. You won't see like a straight line of lace, potentially it'll, just look a little bit more natural, but it's really easy. The biggest thing is to make sure that you keep pushing the hair out of the way and go slow. So this is not going to be the final, potentially not going to be the Final Cut, as I'm going to then put it on and see how it is something else. With this type of lace, that's really soft! You definitely will want to consider adhering it to get it to lay flat, and that will help a lot with realism. So I keep adjusting and then I pull the hair back out of the way so that I don't accidentally cut any of those baby hairs. And then you've got some extra lace at the ears because these kind of go down around where the ear Tabs are so that you actually may have to cut into the hair and cut back a little bit depending on how this fits you. So I'm just going to get a little bit of this lace out of the way and then I'm gon na have to adjust once I put it on my head and figure out how far back I want to cut it, but that's really it and again. This is going to need to be touched up. I see I missed a little spot right there once I get it on my head. There you go. Okay, here is the out of the box as promised. This is the true out of the box, no way to fake that, not that I ever would, of course, but so you've seen all of this. Really. What you want to see is how it looks on my head. You can see all those baby hairs. I'Ve never had a wig that had baby hairs like this they're pretty prominent, but as you could see in my review, they really weren't sticking out, so you can move those and blend them back into the hair. If you want to that's really all I did, and they do stay out of the way unless you want to use them, you can see what I mean the curls are super defined. Just a little comb through will soften them up a little bit, but there you go the out of the box foreign

Jean Jacobs: Greetings Denise! She's really pretty! Love those curls. Love and blessings ♥️

Michelle Ray: My gosh, this is beautiful! I'm 63 and I'm always asking, is this style too young for me? Then I'll ask my 30 year old niece and she'll say, heck no, you're not old, go for it. Lol let's see what colors are available cuz it looks like this might be my new wig.

MaryAnn Osness: You look absolutely adorable in that style and color. So youthful looking. Thank you so much for all your info. I'm definitely checking this wig out.

Michelle Diekman: Love the Color and Style, Beautiful on you! I cannot wear a middle part. You can really wear the long ones too. Love & Hugs❤️❤️

Pat B: Stunning on you! Great presentation! I notice most Ebonyline & similar mfgrs are sold without bangs & few are gray. Would you consider cutting bangs into these gorgeous synthetics?

Clara: I was going to say I don't like that blonde but when you went outside it was pretty. I would like to see you style her I bet she'd look romantic. I hope someday you get the chance to review Belle Tress Twix the curl pattern is amazing

Debra Englander: Thank for t review. Beauty supply store wigs often have a yakki texture which i think you are referring to. Thank you for showing all types of wigs

mar: There's a vid on YouTube about how to tone a synthetic wig ... yes it's actually possible! It looks great but I think a bit of a cooler blonde might be nice

A M: I can see and feel the heaviness - if they just made outre 1/2 the heaviness it would be ok

Christy A: Omg. You should definitely try an Outre wig in the color DR6/CHAMPAGNEFIZZ. It's a really pretty blonde with a lighter root color then any of the other Outre colors. I think you'd like it.

Chef Toni Colvard: Looks a lot like my Outre Lydia

Marina Laroche: Could you show attached with a claw that would sit high up on the back ? Thanks !

Brenda Baum: Very pretty!

Denim: def has more of a yaki texture compared to the other ones you've shown. i prob would've chosen a diff color but it is what it is.

Sheila M: Thank you sis
