Can I Make Human Hair Cosplay Wigs From Scratch?

But i'm going to let future linger talk a little bit about them, but first let me introduce you to video idea, i'm so excited, so this video is a little bit of a hassle to do, because i need to dye hair if you guys have dyed hair With like fake hair dyes, you know it gets everywhere and it's messy, so i've just put it off, but i just need to get it done now. These are half of the human hair. Wigs that i got that i am going to die. Why does it sound weird when i say that not deceased die, but i'm gon na die them and they're gon na become wigs for my cosplays. So if you've seen the cosplays i've done before when i've tried out, for example, kleiner pixels cosplays every time i get a synthetic wig and it looks weird by the parting or if i get a lace front, i think the synthetic hair just gets everywhere. It gets stuck it tangles, it just doesn't look as good as a human hair wig, and i use human hair wigs like a lot for other occasions, like my pink hair, i like to wear on a daily basis, so i don't know why i haven't made cosplay Wigs with human hair, so that is what i'm going to do today. I am obsessed. I wish i had long nails to show them off better but uh. So first up we have the little rosary, it's called defying stars. It is connected by small wings and then you have a cross with a heart in it with two daggers. All of these pieces feel like really expensive and the quality is so nice. Everything is just so detailed in their princess. I'M seeing this become so trendy to have necklaces with like a this exact shape and then have a pearl necklace to it. It like points down to your cleavage and it looks really good if you have like a little more cleavage shirt it just dangles, really nice. Ah, it's so nice. My second favorite is the earring and you're gon na see a lot of that in the video because uh it dangles under my wigs and it's just so nice. This one is called live by the sword. So this is what the website looks like. They have loads of different jewelry to pick from there's the gold. There is silver, they also have some hats. I saw when i went into this and i love them and i wish i could have picked one of them because they're so cool the two rings. I got is called fair verona and thorn in my side, thorn in my slide kind of speaks for itself. It'S a ring with. Oh, my god. It'S called nestles, i don't know the english word for it and then there's hearts. Fair verona is way more detailed and has a heart with a little banner on it. It has crosstalk they're trying to hand model. Oh my god, that's your model's face. Yes, we love it's silver and it doesn't like bend or anything. These are it's no cheap thing here. It was really difficult to pick just this few pieces, but i love them already. So here we have the wigs, as i showed you before, we have one really long one. We have one medium and we have one short: we're also going to try to do the mini character. I don't really know what her name is or if she even has the name, but her hair is like bright blue and she has bangs. So this is what i'm most excited for. This is the really long wig. I don't really know how many inches, but it's all the way down to my whisk. This is like really thin, which i like for this look. I wanted to think because i had another blue one that was really thick, and i just like me: let's not do that so first up we're gon na have to do this little bad boy dirty and get the yellow out of the hair, blue plus, yellow, makes Green, so if we don't make sure that this wig is as wide as we can get it, it's gon na go a little green blue. So the first thing we need to do is give it a little purple bath and it's just gon na be a little tad of purple, and this is ridiculous because i couldn't find any other clear theme. So this is huge, absolutely huge, but now you can see. What'S going on in here, look at my arm when the camera is like on my face eye lens like what is going on hello anyways. We have the manic panic. It'S in a purple shade called electric amethyst, doesn't really matter in my opinion, which purple it is as long as it's purple lukewarm water, add small parts of this, because we don't want it to spit in the hair or we don't want purple parts popping up. Okay, i poured it in the water is now like a light purple, as you can see, let's dip the wig in. Oh, it's really yellow against the water. Let'S hope we can get it out as much now. This is a really cheap wig and it's reacting a little weird to the coloring. It'S like going a little grayish medicine. The quality is so bad of this. I think this is the best we can do with what we have. Let'S dip it in blue. So, to get the best color like the most similar one to min and her blue hair, i thought i wanted to add some really like electric blues. So let's spin this water, blue and dip the wig in it much much later guys. This is gon na. Look. Amazing, it's so vibrant! Oh my god. Can you see this? Okay? Let'S just dip the tips yeah turning green, as i expected soon hope they wouldn't. But okay, okay, wow! Look at her she's on the doll head and she's kind of dry. Now there is like small white strands of hair that just did not take to the the die. I don't know what this means. I don't even wanna think about it. Let'S just style her, but here you can kind of can kind of see the white. We got a very, very vibrant blue, which is nice, because i forgot to say that we're not only going for the mini look we're also going for the jinx wig. So i'm gon na like double this up, so she's, looking really fluffy right now. So i'm gon na flatten her with water first did you think i could find my little bottle like that. I had for spraying the hairs and i'm just i couldn't so now - i'm just dabbing water on her. So i'm brushing her out. I'M gon na blow dry. I'M not gon na make you watch that, so, let's skip forward okay, so she's blow-dried. She is kind of straight, but i need to flat iron it too, but because i don't have a flat iron - and i only have this - i'm not gon na make you go through the pin of watching me. Do this, i'm gon na flat iron, the wig with this so uh yeah. Second, like you're, not gon na see much of a difference, but it is as flat ironed as i could get it. So. The next thing we're gon na do is cut the hair, but i don't wan na do that until it's on my head, so i'm gon na go put this on and we're gon na get a first view of how this wig looks like on me and i'm Really really excited because they all sit really differently, so god damn. I hope it's good place alone. I can't see anything so, let's just cut this, this bang straight off. I don't think it's smooth enough to be the perfect minion wig, but it's definitely perfect for jinx. It'S just a little short for her, but i mean like her hair is to the floor. So what am i supposed to do? Okay, this is scary. Let'S cut it a little too long, okay, really like it already. I didn't think i would like it this much. Wow, i really like it. This is the first time i've liked, like a wig with bangs on me, wow, okay, the thing we have left is to cut the sides, let's just cut them together like somewhere around here. Okay, i just did that quick. So i wouldn't have like the panic of doing it. So now it's done so it's supposed to be at the front and then the hair at the back. So this is what the wig looked like before, and this is now. I think we should style it like jinx does, because i have like jinx-ish cosplay, like a casual jinx cosplay that i'd love to put on with this wig. So, let's style it like jinx. So this is jake's hair. What she has is like a little bang. That goes to the side and the rest of the hair is kind of like in a you know, a bread, okay. Let me put on the cosplay and we'll see like if this looks like jinx, okay, it's kind of cute i feel like i could maybe style it better, but i think it's cool and we have little, maybe it's good. Maybe they should go here. I have a really short top and then i have these pants that are like really punk. We have a little but the angle here we have liz like down the pants, which i feel like is very jinx anyways. This would be my cosplay or like my casual cosplay, with the jinx with the wig on, and i kind of i really like it. I do. Okay did i do a good job, let's move on to the next way. Here we have our little bob. It'S really short, i got it the shorter, the wig, the more cheap it is so this one has really prominent like knots, but it doesn't really matter we're gon na put it in water, that is blue and it's gon na go blue and then we're just gon Na cut it and the last cosplay that i'm gon na try and do the hair up is rem and red's hair. So i'm not just gon na do one. I'M gon na do like a mix of both hello. So the first step for our rem, wig is gon na, be the exact same thing as for our mini mid wig and that's gon na be to dip it in purple. So we get rid of all the yellow that we possibly can, because we're going for blue reason, why you don't do cosplay hair wigs with human hair, because you it up. Okay, i put bleach on this wig. That'S gon na become the rem wig and it's like going all going a little grin. I don't have any like hairdresser degrees. I don't know what to do when it turns grid when you bleach it so after bleaching, ram's wig. This is how it looks like if you can see we have like stains of a little little green, which is making me think that this wig is just the quality of it. It'S already been processed so much just like the other one that it's turning green and reacting to. But let's go dye this one okay, i am scared, but let's try and dip this in blue water. Okay, are you ready to see go down? I am a wow. Okay, i'm scared, i'm not even like i'm gon na be curious to see what's gon na happen, i just don't want it to f up okay, it's not turning any color, more dye. Okay, it's turning a little green. What do you think? Okay? This is actually working. Just pressing in the color by itself, i'm just gon na keep doing this until it turns blue. Here we have our little blue baby. I mean it's not too bad. It'S uh like it's really raggedy, because i bleached it, but it's okay. The color is actually not as it's kind of a minty blue, i'm hoping that over time. Maybe i can like re-dye it a little bluer, but for now i actually like it. I think it's gon na look cute on definitely the first thing i need to do. Other than pin it down is, i need to flat it and i'm gon na. Do it with this one and just blow dry it as straight as i can. Let me do that, oh my god, the worst transition in the world, but look how pretty she is. I love this so much i feel like i am. This is gon na need a bit of work. It is so far it's too long and i need to like it's on it's, not my favorite wig. Let'S say that is looking shoppy. We don't want that. Look for rem, but we do want it choppy for real. So i think we should start with ram, as you can see, has like a half bang, so i put out a little hair. We could like put it like this and then we're gon na cut it. Like the most annoying cosplays is when the hair covers the eye. Ah, okay, i cut it now. We need to flatten it. Okay, her hair is so short. I can't cut it that short. So what we're gon na do is just curl it inwards. So we'll have a bob. Oh look. I think this is gon na work out great look at the difference. This is so nice. Okay, let's just do the the bang. I think i'm gon na do a little curve on it. Just a tiny, teeny, tiny, that's so! Nice, i'm gon na do the other side. Okay, i like it. I thought i wasn't gon na like this wig, but i love it. She has one hair accessory that i don't have, but i do have the pink like that are her iconic ones. So i'm gon na put them on. I couldn't find them, so i substituted them with this, i'm so sad. I can't find anything. This room is a mess. I'M gon na go put on a mid outfit and then this cosplay is gon na be done kind of. Okay, so i skipped the mid - and i went with this costume - that i've used that you've seen before, because i feel like rem and ren are just known for their body costumes, and i have a slight memory that this is for them. These are like the worst ears. Well, we have rum wow. This is cute, though right now we're gon na go from round to red. I forget the name all the time. Oh, my god, let's see if i can transform this wig into her, but before let's do a before and after shot. This was my week before, and this is the week now, okay, so on to risk wig. It is also really short, so i mean we could have gotten away with actually cutting this wig really short for ram two. But the difference here in the wigs is that we have a bang that is cut like a v. I think we're gon na be able to pull off cutting that. What do you guys think am i gon na ruin this wig? If i do that, am i never gon na be able to use it for ram. I think we should go for it anyways. Just for the fun of it, i can cut as little as i possibly can. Oh, my god, it's as scary. Every time i just want a little bang. I like that. Oh my god. Yes, it looked good. What we did for ram was to curl it inwards, but with rey we want a little crazy because she looks a little crazy. Let me try and style this without you having to watch the pain of me trying to do this. Okay, oh my god. I didn't think i was gon na pull it off, but i started curling it inwards instead and now i think i got it so good and i just have to comment on the love earring. Oh my god. I love it poking through. I think it looks really nice, it's just not my type of hairstyle that suits me the best, but it's unfair to judge the wig off of that. So i think it looks really good. It'S like curly going forward. I like it so much. Let me put on the full cosplay, okay, that was the worst look at this. I am so happy. This looks so badass, even though i don't really like the wig on me. This is kind of my favorite transformation of the wigs. For me, i think ram was really good, but this is just like the vibes for me. I love it with the full cosplay and that i could actually find the full cosplay. Oh my god. I love it so much for sure one of my favorites. Ah, yes, i'm really excited to start on the next wig. Let'S go and see how that goes. Next up is our like half length wig. This one is ryoko from killa kill, so we're gon na have to go in with red and we're gon na have to go in with black. This is the one i'm most excited about because it's like the most unique hair and i'd love to wear it without the cosplay too. Here we have her ryoko, i'm about to start off by doing the red part of the hair. I think the black part is going to stain so much that we need to start with the red one. I can't double do it. The peak of the hair is not supposed to be red. We just want the peekaboo to be red. Okay, there we go ready to put the red on okay. This is scary, because this is so pigmented. Ah shite, okay, i shouldn't have pulled it all the way down. It doesn't really matter if it gets on the parts that are supposed to be black, because the black will cover it. One part is done: let's try the next one, i washed out the red and now it's time to put the black in, and it looks a little blue because i put a little blue tint in it because she has blue black hair. I'M just gon na try to not get any on the red, we'll see how it goes. Let'S maybe do the middle last. Why do i feel like this is just gon na turn blue now, just because i was like cocky trying to say that it's not gon na turn blue whoops. Okay, the dye is on. It did do what i thought it would. It went like black. It'S ready to be washed and then i'm gon na cut it, and then it's gon na be done here. It is, it is way more black than i thought. I thought it was gon na be like a little blue, more bluish in it, but it does have a little tint of blue, but not as much as i would have wanted it to. But we do have the peekaboo red and the red is really really really vibrant, which we like sure it's gon na pop through i'm gon na use this bad boy and i'm gon na flat dry, the hair, she's nice. She is straight and i feel like i want to cut her while she's on the stance so to start cutting. This is our reference picture. We were just so close, so we're gon na do a mix of when she's transformed and when she's not transformed when she's not transformed she has a little longer hair and when she is it's like going just everywhere and it's kind of short. So, let's just make it a little softer, so this is kind of boring. Let me go put it on okay, so she's on. I love it on already. We have a little side part into this side which we're gon na curl upwards. I do feel like i should cut this a little shorter, all or nothing. We need to cut it, so i have enough hair to like flip outside okay, i cut it a little. So, let's just try now with the iron, i think we're getting somewhere. Okay. This is looking really nice. I just need to cut it so that it's like more in layers. Let me cut it and do the exact same thing all over the wig and i'll be back. Oh, okay! I think it's. I think it's good good cool good. I need to just spray it, but i don't want to do that until i put the cosplay on so, let's see like the full cosplay with the hair. Oh my god, i am in love, i'm so happy. I think it looks really really cool. Maybe it's because i love this cosplay so much and that i think it's so extra endless. The colors are amazing, but i love this cosplay. So much do you think i did well, let's do a before and after of the wig, this was really difficult. I understand why you choose to just buy a wig ready and like done here, are some wigs that i could have bought. Instead, that would have been synthetic. That would have been like easier but, as i said, i don't really like synthetic, especially if it's long haired ones, but now i ended up doing all the short-haired ones, which would have been fine, but this wig in particular. I was like. I can't do this if it's synthetic, i need it to be human hair. Other than that, i think um. We did an okay job. It was difficult to dye the hair, even though i have tons of experience from dyeing my own hair and i kind of know how colors work and how they turned out. But some of these wigs were just like, i would have had to bleach them a thousand times which they can't handle. Okay, guys that was the last wig i had that i did ready if you like this video.
