Bring Your Old Wig Back To Life | How To Revive An Old Wig

So I'm just hop right into it, as y'all can see this week is rusty, dusty and crusty. I'M gon na show you all how to revamp your all weeks so that they can be back flawless like how they came for you know you worried. So, let's get into it so first, I'm gon na take the swab, professional, rosemary and mint shampoo and I'm just gon na wash the wig completely. You want to use a shampoo that has sulfate in it because you want to strip the hair of everything. That'S one day on, like in your wig or whatever you want to get all the dirt. You want to get everything, that's in it out um. This is a good shampoo. I really love it for my wigs and my natural hair, so I really recommend this shampoo. When reviving your wig so right here, I'm just washing it and then I'm gon na take this comb. You can use a comb or a paddle brush and you just want to comb the hair in the direction money while rinsing it off. So I'm just rinsing off the lathe. I decided to add a little bit more shampoo and rinse the lace one more time, just to make sure it's extra clean. You don't want nothing in your legs. So now I'm taking my Ossie miracle moist conditioner, and I'm a rub this throughout the wig - and this is just what's gon na soften and bring the moisture back into the way because after shampooing it with a sulfate shampoo. I'M, like I said before it strips the hair of everything, so you want to add that moisture back into the hair. Next, you want to take a comb and you just want to calm your hair in the direction you want it to flow on your front tool. So that's basically what I'm doing and I'm rubbing the conditioner through lip. Now I'm just gon na rinse out all of that conditioner that I just put in here - and this was just the first condition just because, because I'm a conditioning again with a different product but you'll, see in a minute um in, like the last part of the Video, the second part of the video or whatever so after resonate. This is what it looks like. I I think I got it pretty clean. It looked really nice afterwards, okay, so the next step I will be doing is dying the wig, but I'm gon na. Do the water color dye and it's just gon na revive that jet black color it was dyed before I wanted it to be a little more darker. So, instead of having like a ashy black look, I decided to read IU and so right now, I'm just spraying layers of spritz, so you want to just spray. A layer then drive that layer in between and spray another layer. I think I did three layers, and this is just going to keep your lace from dying when you do the watercolor. So after that you wan na comb through the hair, because some of the spray got on the hair which made the hair stiff. And you just want to call me out of the hair just so you know it died evenly and it just won't miss any spots. So I'm taking a door in a color jet black and I have warm water in that brookie and I'm just using about 1/4 of the bottle in here. I didn't want to do it too, dark, because I was really nervous that the lace was going to tent, but it didn't you see at the end of the video it ain't Cindy but yeah. So I'm just mixing it make sure everything is mixed up completely and i'ma just put the hair in there and imma. Let it sit for about 20 minutes. I believe that's how long I live in here so yeah. Let it sit for about 20 minutes, and after that I decided I wanted to read bleach tonight. It'S not to pay attention or anything like that, but I just want it to retake the lace. I mean. Not anybody reach the lace just to get a more brown color so right here you see me mixing up the forty developer and the bleaching powder and I want it to be a thick consistency, so you will see once I'm done, mixing it. How thick it actually is, I just see lowly adding 40 developer and mix it like that. I don't put in too much because I don't want it to be too watered down, so I just add a little at a time. So that's basically what I'm doing right here and I'm just mixing it make sure everything is made all the way through and you can see how thick it is. So first you want to dry your legs before you bleach it only because I just didn't want it to not work, because because the lace was wet, so I just decided. I just decided like a toga, I just decided to UM dry it first. So next you want to take a brush like the one I'm using, and you just want to pack that bleach on there. You don't want to rub it because it can dye the hair up under there and that wouldn't be good, so just packing on the lace evenly make sure you get everything. I didn't really go too far to the edges. Only because, like I said before I already bleached, I bleached these nuts when I first got the lead but um, I just wanted to get it a more Brown or color, so I didn't really bring it all the way to the edge like I would do. If I first got the lead, so this is what it's looking like after I rinse that out. I also want to add in because one of my clips were deleted, that I let this hair soaked in silicone mix. It'S a conditioner. I let it soak for 30 minutes and that's how it brought that Sheen look to it. I don't know if y'all can tell right here how glossy and smooth the hair was. That was because I left it in the silicone makes i'ma put a picture of it up here on the screen. I don't know how he got to eat it. My clip got deleted blip right here, I'm just showing you the lace and how good it looks. It'S really Brown and that's what I wanted and the hair is really silky and smooth. So that's how you want to get your wig, so basically, the three main products you need are the suave professionals for your shampoo. You need the Ossie miracle moist for your conditioner and you need the silicone mix so also conditioning and then you can dye it, but that's optional and you can bleach it. But that's optional, awesome! So right here, I'm just showing you the lace up close and how clean and brown is. It really looked like a scalp, so yeah, that's what that is, and the hair is so silky. You see how shiny and glossy the hair is so right here I started to try it and it kind of looks weird up against that black fabric, which is on my the head, but I'm using, which make the lace look weird on there because it make it Look so Brown and light, but it actually looked good in person. It'S just the black cloth under there, throwing it off and the holes on it. That'S not holding my wig. Those are holes on the fabric, one's a dog here or the mini-game really. So I am just blow-drying the hair out and it looks so silky got something. I got two secret ingredients to bring our wigs back to life, so I might want to try it look at it. It'S glossy and silky. So right here, I'm just about to take my fries Buster in my argan oil and just want to go through this week with a flat iron. I'M not really gon na get to in detail with this, because that's not really what the video was about. It was mainly about revamping it with Washington conditioning it in which shampoo and conditioner to use so right here, I'm just gon na take some my freeze, buster and it's a serum and then I'm gon na take a little bit of my argan oil. Well, I probably already did that. I think I knew that corner yeah. I already need that and I'm just gon na take my flat iron and I'm just gon na go throughout the whole week and straighten it as best as I can so I'm come back once. I'M done with that, and these are the final results.
