Today we're going to take a look at a brand new style just released by rene of paris in their alexander couture collection. This one is called amara amara is in the color bubble, gum r. There'S a lot of details here find out why i'm really loving this little pixie coming up. Today'S wig style was sent to me by wig studio one, so i could try it before you buy it. Pixie style cut, it has lots of layers, it's really cool and comfortable. So first, let's get into this color a little bit. This is bubble gum r. I love this color as it's applied to a shorter pixie style cut one with a lot of texture. I would say this is considered to be a fashion color, but let me tell you why i feel like this is an everyday mainstream color. For me, it starts with an ash, platinum and that platinum has been toned down, so it does take on a little bit of a silver cast. It'S a glistening, icy, looking platinum and then that has a little bit of a whisper of pink to it. So on these styles, this is why i think it's just so incredible because on first glance, you're not saying wow, look at that lady she's got pink hair. I love it or i don't love it. It doesn't strike you that way. Actually, i think it reads a little bit silver, but, as you look a little more closely, you can start to see these little hints and whispers of pink and it's a pastel pink. It'S a little more obvious in the sun, like the direct sun, i'm going to try to get some shots for you on that now. This does have a medium brown root. That brown root stands in great contrast to this platinum and it really is very stark but, like i say, on a shorter style, i love this color. I have seen this color on longer styles before and it it reads a little more pink when there's more real estate. I think that, on a shorter style, this is your everyday kind of color on a mid to long length style. I think it's going to read more of a fashion shade amara is just adorably, simple or simply adorable. However, however, you want to look at it, but it's an easy what i like to call a plug and chug style. I literally just took this out of the box, gave it a few vigorous, shakes, applied it and swirled around to loosen up the permatease on this style, making sure all of the hairlines were obscured and guess what right out of the box and out the door in Less than two minutes, it's really easy and convenient, but i really think you're going to love the price tag on this. So i think, as of the date of this filming, it's around 120 to 130 dollars - and i know prices can vary based on the color that you choose, because some of the rooted colors are priced a little higher based on the manufacturers, suggested retail, and so it's Really affordable and with the rene of paris brand is always an automatic 30 percent off at wig studio one. So all you have to do is put it in your cart in the autumn. It will automatically take off 30. That brings it down to 100 or less so it's an incredible value for this cute little wig. Now the alexander couture collection is a group of ready to wear wigs that are more fashion minded in this case. I think this is a perfect everyday pixie. I love pixies of all kinds and it seems like in the last couple of years there haven't been a lot of pixies that have come on the market that i've really liked. So i'm really loving this pixie and i really loving the price point. So, let's get into the measurements real quick because on a pixie style, the measurements measurements really make a difference in the front you're going to see anywhere from a three to a three and a half inch fringe. I love that it's just a little bit of an eyelash bang that can be swept off to either side with ease, and it's just as cute as it can be, as it frames the eyes in the back we're looking at about a three inch crown now. Typically, i'm not a fan of anything less than four inches on a crown, because i do like the little bit of profile that it gives. However, this three to three and a half inch crown is great um you're still getting a little bump in profile. It'S not too high, so for the use out you out there that do not care for that really high um exaggerated profile at the crown. This is not an exaggerated effect. In fact, this is more like your typical boycott pixie, where you've got some sculpted layers on the sides, but a little longer fringe and crown, and that tapers down into. Are you ready for this a one and a half inch snape, and i know right away a lot of you are going to give this the the no way because of that short nape um. I love a short nape on a style like this, because it's superior it has superior tailoring um to where everything just looks just perfect and sculpted. But if you don't shave your hairline and you expect a style to cover your natural hairline for a lot of you. This really is going to be too short of a nape. I love how it's squared off. I find that it gives me good coverage, but again i do shave my hairline in the back frequently, and then you want to scoop it around the ear just to make sure all the wig lines are covered. I feel like this has pretty good coverage, but this is a very minimal cap. You'Ll see when i show you the inside. There are very minimal ear tabs on this, so even though they they splice in a lot of fiber they're at the ear tab. If you have a hairline that comes out pretty far, you'll just have to be careful and scoop all of the fiber towards the face so that it covers that up, but what a cute profile? This is right. Now this really reminds me, and a lot of you are going to remember - and this was in one of my videos where i said: please bring this style back. I absolutely love it, and that is the old rene of paris's heather. It looks just like this now. Heather has a little bit of a longer fringe and it has a lace front and then his open cap, but if you remember heather and loved heather, maybe you still even have a heather and deep in your closet, somewhere um. This would be a great sister style to heather, and it just gives you a little more options to choose from because, like i said, i feel like there's just maybe a lack of certain kinds of pixies on the market, affordable pixies on the market. Today i like ellen villas, pixies they do a fabulous pixie cut, but they're expensive ellen villa is in the higher price point bracket um they tend to be comfortable long lasting. They tend to have wonderful, monofilament features, but if you're looking for you know something a little more affordable, this is your girl. You know it weighs about two ounces. It'S really lightweight, i'm, not even sensing that i'm wearing a wig right. Now, it's really comfortable on me. I'M going to get into the fit a little bit with you, because this has what i consider to be a true rene of paris, a true noriko fit. It fits that petite average circumference the best these caps, however hearty and sturdy they are. They don't give you much stretch so with this one. I did not have to make any adjustments and it fits my circumference perfectly. I did notice there's not a lot of stretch, so unfortunately, that's probably going to rule out a lot of my friends out there that have large circumferences. It'S a shame. I know, and i wish that every style could be made in in a petite in an average and a large, but that's not the reality of these wigs. For the most part, an average wig size should fit up to 90 percent of customers and for mass-produced wigs. That'S pretty good, they do have the built-in adjusters in the back, which are supposed to give you a half an inch here and there with that average, with that average circumference right around 22 inches that accompanies that will accommodate your petite average. Your average and your average large, but it does leave out your petite and your large. So it is what it is right guys, but these wig reviews are so priceless when it comes to describing the fit so that you know what you're getting into now. There'S always a chance that this is a one-off and that one you receive might be a little bit larger or stretchier, but i can only report on the piece that i have so let's talk about permatease the permatease on this is done really well. You would expect that for an open cap on a kind of a sculpted tailored style like this - that you would see a lot of permatease and there is a modest amount of permatease, i would say it's not an overabundance of permatease. In fact, i don't feel like it has quite as much as the the heather style from years ago, but you're going to find permatease all along the front. The top and the crown now there's no permatease at the temple and there's no permatease throughout the back and the nape okay. So it's all the right amounts and all the right places to support this cute. Little boy cut cropped, pixie style here, so i'll go ahead and do a full spin for you here. So you can see amara on all sides, i'm going to take you outside and i'm going to try to find some shade and some sun so that you can see this color in a few different lighting options. I always so, as i said, amara is right. Out of the box, which is a couple of shakes and a little swirls, it has some beautiful layering, so we're going to get into all that in the styling, because there's always things you can do with the pixie now, if you do, need more lift or if You want a spikier look you're going to have to use some product in order to achieve and sustain that, so i would recommend a styling paste of some kind or a holding spray to to get the lift or the additional kind of edgy spikiness all right. Let'S try with glasses, i have my cute little purple readers here i figured that would go great with my outfit. I love pixies with glasses, my reader glasses. I have a variety of colors and shapes and styles, and i always love pairing it with my pixies. For some reason, it fits beautifully by the way there is no permatease in the area to prevent a nice fit. So this is a good glasses, friendly style. Don'T forget to check out amara at wig studio.
