When I first started taking care of my hair, the ultimate goal was to dye my hair, champagne white., But I knew that my hair, in the condition that it was, would never be able to handle that.. Now that I understand my hair in its natural state, I feel like I'm ready to go crazy with it. Hi, I'm Karina.. This is Hair Me Out.. Today, I'm going to be dyeing my hair pastel blonde. Before we get into this transformation, don't forget to subscribe below. When I was a teenager. I just wanted to express myself.. I would dye my own hair I'd, go to the salon and dye my hair I'd bleach. My own hair even shave, my own head., It didn't really matter to me.. I just wanted to have fun expressing myself. It took years for me to understand my hair and how to style it. For the last four years. I didn't even take a hot tool to it. Did nothing to it.. Now, let's head over to the salon to see the transformation., I was thinking about doing a pastel blonde or like a platinum blonde.. Have you ever done that before No.? This is the first time. Yeah. Yeah.. Let'S get started., We do a bleach process twice.. On top of that, we do color to neutralize the yellow.. Now that I have really nurtured my hair, I'm really nervous about dyeing it that it's gon na feel really bad or my curls will get lost. All my hard work will get lost., But at the same time I'm excited to get rid of this thing. That'S holding me down., I don't like feeling attached to my hair.. I don't like feeling like. I need to be in service of it at all times., Even though the health of my hair is really important to me. Expressing myself is more important to me. Everyone's already advising me against dyeing my hair champagne. White. People are scared that my hair will fall out or it won't be as healthy as it is now.. My hair inspiration is Lora Arellano.. She is Latina just like me, and she is fearless in dyeing her hair., You don't see a lot of Latinas dyeing their hair, crazy, hair, colors. And Lora really shows you how to pull it off and that anybody can really dye their hair.. I think I'll still feel nervous, even after I see it., Because I'm going to have to take care of it and from what I hear, it's probably the most high maintenance thing. I can do. For a really long time. I'Ve put no effort into my appearance., Always my hair in a ponytail., Minimal makeup. And I'm really excited to start putting a lot more time in myself. Dyeing my hair. This light, I think, it'll give me the freedom to do really bold, exciting makeup, hair and jewelry.. Okay: here's your new hair. Holy! Oh my god.. This looks so amazing.. Thank you! So much. You're welcome.. I love the way that my hair turned out., Really excited to start putting a lot more time in myself.. It took years for me to understand my hair and how to style it.. I finally feel, like I have control of my hair again. Thanks so much for watching. To subscribe click here. To watch more click here.

Refinery29: What dramatic hair transformation do you want to try? Share with us in the comments!

PMW: "Now that my hair is nice and healthy, it's ready to be destroyed by chemicals"

lara: i love how everyone in the comments thinks theyre a hairstylist just cause they watch brad mondo

Agua: My skin color is similar to her’s and I also have 3a curly hair and I was planning to dye my hair like this. This video convinced me to not dye it.

JasB0mb: I’m a stylists, and i can tell you that there’s many things wrong with this process, including the end results. Yes it’s her choice, but it’s a professional’s job to also suggest what’s better for somebody that still fits their taste. It’s not as flattering on her as another color would be. They started at the roots too- big yikes and in the end shots you can tell parts of her ends are still dark and a darker/warmer tone than her roots. The haircut also seems slightly choppy but it could be her texture that moves it to look like that. I just would’ve suggested a different route with this

Gabriella Guevara: “I don’t like feeling attached to my hair. I don’t like to feel like I need to be in service of it at all times”. Goes and bleaches her hair which requires high maintenance to keep the color in tact. Wtf?

Jennifer Cornell: Why can no one be happy that she’s happy? She got exactly what she wanted, good for her!

Lune Line: I actually LOVE how the hair color turned out. Get her a neat hairstyle with less volume and she’ll look bomb.

Katie Davis: Jesus... these comments did not pass the vibe check. I think she looks amazing. You can see her confidence raise at the end of it. She’s glowing !!!

I To: When I was 21 I wanted to dye my hair blonde for the first time and the hairstylist told me that blonde hair didn’t go with my skin tone. So she did light brown. Years later I started doing blonde highlights and eventually got my hair blonde, I show people pictures of my brown hair and they say I look better blonde. With that said, I understand the reasons why the girl in the video was explaining herself, for us latinas with natural brown hair is hard to change our hair color because we are so much judge by our skin tone. I love how that way of thinking is changing and dark or light skin tone doesn’t matter, it’s all about what you wanna see in the mirror who cares if others don’t think it suits you, no one comes over to wash my dang hair everyday anyways. ‍♀️

Gilly: She paid to look fifty.. Anyways something she said really stuck out to me. “I don’t like being attached to my hair. I don’t want to be in service to it at all times.” And I felt that hard... Cause we curly girls are slaves to our hair ( for a good reason ). Watching this makes me wanna be more free with my hair. I’ve been wanting to dye it forever

Drina Joseph: I personally LOVED this on her. Made her look so edgy and confident

Maria Minghi: I loved the result, the color looks so pretty on her!

jenny in general : I think it looks dope af. If she loves it, I love it. I know a lot of people will comment about a shade that ‘suits skin tone’ but if you want a crazy colour you’re not concerned with that. I’d love to dye my hair white but it wouldn’t survive the process sadly. Good for her. Rock it!

Sevi Regis: They did an amazing job because that's quite hard to do on dark hair that has a lot of heavy pigmentation. Some hair looks dark but it actually has blonde undertones and it lifts pretty easily. But when hair has a lot of heavy pigment and it goes through all the red and gold stages it's much more difficult to lift without significant damage. I'm at the point where I think anyone can wear any hair color if it's done well. We probably all have one look that's our absolute best, but all the rest can be fun to wear for a while.

Sam Cavalcanti: it looks amazing! i have similarly thick n dark hair and bleached it recently n it is incredibly hard to get it that color, kudos to the hair stylist! and she looks amazing, very powerful vibes

Lets Have A Kiki: she looks amazing, I love the look so much

oui oui: This loooks so goood on her! We have a similar skin tone and I also wanted to bleach and my dye my hair like that but I wasn't sure if it would match my skin, but after seeing that video, I know what to do once the quarantine is over

S.M: She said she’s scared of the bleach damaging her hair and curl pattern but she’s ready to “get rid of this thing that’s holding me down” speaking about her brown hair .....

Venus Dahlin: I only clicked to find out what "pastel blonde" was. Light blonde. That's it. She went blonde.

Ángeles: Listen, he started at the roots but he had to bleach TWICE, even Brad Mondo (for all the people that have been saying "UhhHhh bRad mOndo hAs lEft thE chAt") says that you can start at the roots if the second time you don't bleach them again. And when you bleach your hair to that level you are OBVIOUSLY GOING TO HAVE SOME LEVEL OF DAMAGE. People need to remember that the people in this videos are real and not a prop to insult for your entertainment. Let's be aware and educated when we express our opinions

nouz mb: Her natural hair is so nice and it does actually look so healthy and strong even after all that damaging

Marjorie: “You don’t see a lot of latinas dying their hair crazy colors” where does she live?

Suze 375: I completely love this look! Wish I could get that done!

THREE DEGREES SALON: I’m the one who is in the video. From reading comments I wonder if people have noticed that I bleached roots only once while the rest parts were bleached twice? I am fully aware that in theory you should not start at roots for bleaching. However, I started at roots intentionally for her particular case because 1) this requires triple process ( two bleaches + one color) but want to minimize damage to her scalp, 2) it is tricky to find the exact “line” where body temperature affects the bleach, as it always depends on each person’s hair texture, thickness and body temperature. So I applied bleach first to roots to light it up enough by maximizing body temperature effects, and avoided the second bleach(for the roots). This process actually gives another advantage because after the first bleach, the “line” appears as everyone points out as “uneven”. So if you do the second bleach from the line where the color is darker, you will get the whole hair bleached evenly in the end. I know that this isn’t a conventional way I have learned at school but my 17 years of experience serving diverse hair-types in Tokyo, Vancouver and NY has taught me this tip. This way works for her hair because her whole hair was a virgin. Each person’s hair and its condition is different so I service in a way that would work the best for each hair - so there’s no golden rules for me.

Maribelle: She looks so happy and her hair came out amazing! Unless you are a fashion icon it doesn’t matter what “suits” your skin tone, do what makes you happy, hair will grow out and it’s nothing a new color can’t fix, the possibilities are endless!

stephelectra: I don’t know how anyone could not like this! They did such a good job! Love

Shenia: Turned out sooo beautiful Well done to all!

Good vibe Only: Amazing transformation looks good on her

chicken nugget: I have a very similar skin tone to hers and this really help me as a warning of what not to do

Laura: The result looks great so happy she did not do it on her own but a professional. You go girl!

dotteddice: Her dark hair was pretty, but the blonde hair was pretty too. She looks nice.

Niktoria: Everyone critiquing her and her choices by I like how the "cool" hair contrasts her "warm skin". Everyone sayin it looks wack but it's a refreshing change for her and she's into that stuff. If it makes her happy then let her feel herself

soju81: Kei is my stylist. He’s been cutting my hair for awhile now and to be completely honest, people have actually complimented me on the cut and dye jobs. The quality and service at this salon is awesome.

Lindsey Dawn: She went from 23 years old to 73 years old

Rosaura Avila: Dark eyebrows and blonde hair is a fire combination

Robin Anna: "have you done this before?" "no never" "let's get started!" Imagine if that was the full consultation! It would be amazing.

Kitty Salinas: omg i’m watching this reading all of these criticizing comments and negative remarks and preparing myself for the worst and then i make it to the end and wow she looks completely fine and so much happier with the color, and i think her skin tone compliments it just fine, you do you girl (:

Abdullah Ansari: I need a tutorial on how you nurtured your hair. I've wanted to dye my hair for 10+ years now but the condition of my hair is so bad I know dying it will make it a lot worse. I am wondering how you solved that

Liza Berecz: At first, I thought it won't match with her skin tone but the result shocked me!! It's absolutely amazing!!

Daniela Silva: The great about this video is that...she is expressing her self...love it !!!!

Rachel Stirling: I actually like it. You look lovely with that new hair color!

Tee Pee: The hair stylists did a great job

juhlizza: This hair color really aged her...maybe honey blonde would’ve suited her better ?

hEy! st0B iT!: She really look amazing in this hair color.

Elizabeth Craig: I can feel brad mondo cringing all the way over here because they started at her roots lol

Kris Sos: The stylist did a fantastic job achieving the color that the client wanted, not an easy job and definitely longer than half a days worth of work

Romina O. V.: *Her hair looks so good and healthy!*

kaylea phillips: I love it! That hairdresser did so good!

Naz Gul: She looked so gorgeous in her own natural hair !!

Jene Soleil: Curious how long it’s going to be before we see her vid, “Dyeing my hair back to it’s natural color”

Keziah Skelton: I like her before and after and I really enjoyed this specific hair makeover

paulinanila: and they started at her roots oh boy

Jordan O'Dwyer: Love it! I was so scared there was only going to be one round of bleach

Jessica Medina: I myself have bleached my hair platinum blonde twice both from two different salons, lot of maintenance, lot of products to buy to maintain the look and alot of money however now that I've experienced it I would definitely do it again however I would highly recommend going to a stylist that actually works strictly on doing platinum because they have more experience in creating the color you desire but since they specialize in it that means more $$$

eagletmars: After reading the comments, I may be the only one who actually likes the hair color/haircut. She did look more mature afterwards, but maybe that is what she wanted. Nothing wrong with that. Sis loved the way it turned out. Literally those were her words after seeing the result. Happy for her, and y'all need to stop hating. She can be a blonde too if she wants to be, damn

Zara: Oh my God, she looks sooo much older like this, she looked so beautiful in her original brunette hair. I dont understand why people do that and why hair stylists agree to this

Jai Harris: I wish we could get an update on these people’s hair... 6 months post color lol

KALAPANAPOCHIHANALEI: Y'all are hating but I love it! That's the color I want to try

Esther Faruk: Wow beautiful job. I need to go to this salon. Amazing work

Aleia work: why are people saying it doesnt suit her?:( it looks amazing on her!!! you go girl:))

Pascal McDonald: Her hair came out stunning!!

Rolonda Cornish: It looks amazing!

Analee Alford: Honey... you're always gonna be in service of blonde hair, especially with such a strong toner. She looks really happy though. Hair can cause mad identity crisis

Learning. Growing. 🌱: I love it !! I liked it when it had more yellow tones to it and less gray, but it's pretty epic.

Sheron: the real REAL outcome is after the hairwash at home, that's when result can ACTUALLY be visible. I wanna see that resultt

CocoaPuff_Motivation: "I dont want to be in service to my hair." ..."this is the most high maintenance hair color to maintain. "...

Amanda Richards: I love this look!

Pink Lightning: It looks SO good on her

Alice Moon-Star: It's very hard to go from dark to blonde hair. I tried that 4 years ago and instantly regretted it. But you gotta try it out before you know I guess.

Username: Ok, so she had beautiful hair to start with, people would die to have it! It looks fried now, like straw! Seeing pastel blonde I was thinking it was going to be a beautiful platnium with a hint of rose, or lavender, even light blue, but this is like gray blonde something! The crazy thing about most of the hair videos done on this channel is that they look like you could have done the color at home with Loreal from the drug store, not a full service salon!

Maëlys : I’m dying my hair platinum blonde and people are going to want to tell me no because my hair is going to go through a process like this woman in the video and I honestly don’t give a f*** and it feels good! Do what makes YOU happy!

StyledbyYules: I love it!! She looks bomb!

Pareen Pattni: I have natural un-dyed wavy thick hair and seeing so much bleach scares me! She had healthy hair and looked young before!

Nunnaya Bidnit: I liked it :) they did a great job

Grey L: damn y’all let sis enjoy herself lmao this isn’t your hair if she’s feeling it, she’s feeling it lol not her business to please everyone with her decisions.

aarushi bharadwaj: If she loves it, then I love it too!! ❤️❤️❤️

Lauren Menzies: Her hair looks awesome.

Lamees ma: Can we talk bout how this process took them one day from dark to platinum blonde ? Also they bleached it 2 times only.. dude my hair takes 4 times to get a perfect platinum blonde and more then one day.

Kelsi miquel Hubler: FINALLY a good stylist that actually gave the client what she asked for

lea: im sorry but the phrase "pastel blonde" makes me angry

Usagi Tsukino: She looks extremely mature after the hair dye.

Anuba Bradbury: This must have cost a loooooot :C wish I could pay for that, cuz it is flawless, so nice!

Carina F: Oh God it looks sooo good I never expected that

Xochitl Manley: They did what so many other salon's say can't be done. From black to platinum blond and I didn't see any thinning either! Great job.

Patricia Moon: It is true that everyone learned to color from the middle part first and go toward roots later because body temperature affects roots so it gets lighter faster than other section. But for this double bleach process, we call this triple process actually (bleach twice and color once) require lot of damage. And stylist doesnt like to actually do bleach very roots part twice, which most stylists do and this will make skins irritating so instead of doing roots twice, stylists went root first to light up the roots and did the rest of the hair dye twice. I just want to make comments here so people know what stylist’s intention was and not misunderstanding anything.

Jeanine Morgan: I think you look fantastic! Get light purple next time

Gigi Cutie: They started at the roots and took chunks of hair... tiny slicing with dark thick hair like hers starting from the back bottom and this can help with NOT BLEACHING TWICE... this process could have been done easier if it was done right

Madhura Bhalerao: Just like Champagne Blonde, there is also a beautiful Purple Blonde type hair color. It looks so very attractive!

crossfire •••: This kind of hair color I would love to get when I turned old and grey

Letícia Moreira: The hair got a cold undertone what doesn't go with her warm skin tone. I thought a professional salon would have taken this under consideration

Marnus deBruyne: That's insanely turned out so good

orangutan shades: I swear this channel’s hair videos are chaotic af

Amanda M. Summers: Okay because she looks soo good , even before the toner

Jazmine Sandoval: Her hair was amazingly beautiful before! They should’ve done a shadow root at least for a more natural look! Also started bleach on the scalp!!!!

purberri: She looked better as a brunette this color makes her look old

Reena Verma: This is literally what everyone has gone through. First thinking and reminding yourself "They know what they are doing " " Just trust them"!!! then as it continues you know it you are not gonna like it. Then finally when they finish you think maybe the end result would be life changing!!! Then when you see your final look .... You see the stylist face... They look right back at you...with the face obviously you would like it ! You wanted it ! How can someone not like it? While in the mind you are thinking How in this earth can I hide my hair? Ok let's wear mask atleast your face won't be recognisable and I will wear sun glasses to hide my tear. You pay that bitch and leave . ""

Jasmin James: they did an amazing job

superCappy27: I think it looked better just before they toned it, but it still looks great! It’ll look even better curly.

danyaslade: I like it and it turned out just like she wanted! so fun to try new looks
