Hi friends welcome back to Tiffany baby TV, so I've been teasing you and telling you that I have some really exciting things to show you guys, and here it is today. Today we are going to be dyeing our synthetic wig. We have jolanda, which is a older unit from bobbybot, so that per purchase. She is a 13 by 4 lace. Parting space, so you do have plenty of free space to part. Here is how she looks and I actually purchased her in a TT 656 cover in order to dye your synthetic wave. You want to start with the lightest color possible. I recommend this color or a 613 if you're trying to go from a darker shade to a lighter, shade, you're not going to be able to achieve that on a synthetic unit. A human hair unit you'd be able to bleach and bring it up to whatever color that you like, but with synthetic you need to start lighter than what you want to end up with. In your finished result, you will need just a couple of products in order to do this project here today, I have to spray bottles that I picked up just from the dollar store. These are both full of 70 % rubbing alcohol. I also purchased these acrylic dyes. This is an acrylic die, it is Daler and Rowney. I purchased both of these from Michaels. They were about six or seven dollars each. I have the process magenta color and I also purchased the burnt umber shade. Alright, so after adding some dropper fulls, I still wasn't getting to the color that I was looking for. Like I said, I wanted a really rich chocolate brown, so I added about half a bottle to the alcohol mixture that I made and now we were very dark and it's looking about the shade that I'm looking at just keep testing it on the napkin to see How it looks, and then I also did just a couple of test sprays on the hair, just to see how dark it's looking and it is lifting up very nicely so far. So let's go ahead and mix the pink next make sure that you keep your work surface clean. This stuff is dye, so it will stain. It doesn't stand immediately, but you want to make keep Nate workspace so for the pink. I don't want it to be bright. Red magenta like this, I want it to be more of a soft, pink lilac for the highlights, so I'm gon na add significantly less of this dye, but based on how much I use for the other one, I'm gon na go ahead and start with at least Five gold records, and we will shake that up and test it on our paper towel and see how vibrant it is with a color like this. I knew that this was going to take a lot more quickly than the brown. The brown is just a lot richer of a color. It'S gon na be harder to get to that shade that we're looking for. So let's do a test spray and see how it looks very pretty, as you can see this tip to it almost immediately and the more you saturate that the darker it's going to go. So I'm gon na go ahead and relocate it's already starting to be fuming in here. I'M gon na go ahead and move out to the garage come on. Join me and watch me work alright. So I'm going to begin by just sectioning this hair off a little bit so that I can work with the layers that are underneath. As you can see, this is a very easy process. All you do is spray the mixture directly onto the hair. I am using my hands and my fingers to squeeze that product through the strands to make sure that it gets on every single part of each strand of the hair. You want to make sure that you're spraying the front back side top and bottom, I'm using the paint to try to add some highlights and to create some depth. This will make sure that this isn't a one-dimensional dye job. It'S just gon na add some different variations in the color. It'S right about here that I realized that my spray nozzle was really really fine, so I opened that up, so I can get more of a misting rather than a straight spray of water. Now, in hindsight, I wish I had gone a lot darker with this brown and used more of the ink than what I did as you can see. It'S coming up to a nice honey light golden color brown. I wanted more of a chocolate brown but trial and error. We'Ll get that right next time. As you can see, I'm lifting that up to make sure that I go underneath the hair. You don't want to leave any patches. You don't want to have that. Streaky white blond anywhere so make sure that you are going underneath and sectioning the hair off to get in between the layers and covering every strand completely. Now I mentioned that this is a process that you want to do in a well-ventilated area. I'M doing this outside in our garage and I do have that garage door cracks for the air circulation you're spraying rubbing alcohol into your room. So obviously that is a very, very strong smelling liquid. So you don't want to be inhaling that directly. I do not recommend doing this in your bathroom unless you have a window or some way that you could really ventilate that area. I am now taking a wide toothed comb and coming through this, just to make sure that I have color on every strand and to make sure that I don't have any silver platinum patches want to make sure that every part of this hair is covered and that The color is consistent and I'm almost out of that pink, but that is where I want to concentrate that color on the ends so that I have a nice time Brie effect in the end Here I am combing this out one last time from here all we're Gon na want to do is to let this air dry overnight, once it's completely dry, we'll take it back inside and give it a good rinse okay. So this is what the wig looks like after it is completely dried. As you can see, some of that color did drip out. All of our pink highlight is gone, unfortunately, but the color and the layering and the depth is amazing. I'M going to rinse this in cool, clear water, just to make sure that I remove any of the excess alcohol and to get any extra dye out so that it does not transfer to your clothes or to your skin. No, you could be done at this point, but I'm gon na give this a quick bath and silicon mix just to give it a good, deep condition and rinse it one more time and let it air dry all right friends. So I am back to show you the final look on the Jolanda wig that we are dyeing with the acrylic dyes, and the alcohol method here is how she turned out. Jolanda ended up a beautiful sandy honey blond color. She is really reminding me very much so of my Valentino and the FF cream color, remembering this end really close, that you can see the great variations and the color and the depth, and just how beautiful this turned out it lightens as we go down towards the Bottom, do you have a couple of pinkish highlights there underneath those did wash out quite a bit when I rinsed this? I did soak it in the silicon, nut mix and fabric softener just so that I could get the best texture and feel and flow and body. As you can see, the curls did come right back once it was dry because we did not boil this. It did retain all of its body and that wonderful, great curl pattern, so I'm gon na go ahead and take some photos of this unit so that you can see what it looks like all styled up and on the lake stand: you're not actually gon na try. This on, because I do plan on sending it out if I was going to do this again, I would like to achieve a more chocolate color versus the sandy blonde that we ended up with. I would recommend increasing the concentration of the ink to the amount of alcohol. I also just ordered some black ink so that I can try this to see how it goes from blonde to black. So I will be back with that video here shortly. If you guys have any questions, you know the drill we'll leave them down below in the comments, if you're not already subscribed hit that button for me, so that you don't miss any of my future videos if you're interested in the unit that I have on this. This is a wig. No, I did not get my hair braided. I purchased this from sleek braid wigs on Instagram. I do absolutely love this unit. It'S absolutely gorgeous it's a full lace unit, and so, if you're interested in that make sure you check her out, I hope you guys enjoyed this experiment. This was a lot of kind, always interested in trying new things and seeing what we can work out so that we continue to slay on a budget honey pick up those cheap, 6:13 wigs and make a masterpiece. You never know what you'll end up with but be willing to try something new, so we'll be back again and try this again see how it does that time. Thank you so much for watching. I appreciate your time as always thanks for tuning in to Tiffany baby TV, bye loves

QueencrochetbyLatoya: Girl, you saved my wig. I had a ombre/blond wig and I added a few drops of magenta with 70% alcohol. Sprayed it like you said, blow dried and poof!!! This was the most beautiful wig I ever dyed. Thanks a bunch! I'm subscribing.

Cerissa A Brown: You did a beautiful job. And I love the way you explained everything. Your directions made it very easy to follow.

Jo Myers: Just wanted to send a huge thanks to the solution saving a wig I ordered online. The two wigs I got ended up no only from China but also ash blonde (613) coloring different from how it appeared on the website. Thought I lost my money on this purchase until I saw your video. I liked that you weren't doing crazy colors & procedures like a lot of the others I came across. Thanks again.

I just wanted too say what a great job you did...look's like she stepped out of a salon, other people I've watched on YouTube was just too complicated and time consuming, I subscribed too your channel and can't wait to watch more videos. I myself have never worn a wig or hair extensions, but that is now going too change I can't wait..thanks again for this great video

James Imerese: You explain extremely clearly and honestly your videos are amazing two questions however. I just purchased a synthetic wig that is a platinum blonde color. I was thinking of doing one of three things. 1. Toning it to a beige or platinum silver 2 making an ombre darker root to a platinum ends or a dirty blonde medium color 3. Picking two tone or highlighted unit I'm a professional hairdresser but I've never used a synthetic wig before. I purchased it by accident and quickly realized after taking it out of the box that I was unable to actually customize it the way that I wanted to using traditional hairdressing techniques It also had a wave pattern in it and then I tried to straighten some of it ruining the wave pattern I'm used to working on human hair so I'm finding that this synthetic wig to be looking very cheap however it is a higher end full lace premium... Just having a hard time manipulating the synthetic hair to what I'm used to using on human... It is Equal premium whole lace free tress PL-04 Any helper suggestions? :-) thank you so much
