I am pretty sure you can see the difference here before it was blonde yellow blonde and after it became completely platinum, and I will show you how you can do that. How easy it is to change the color of your old blonde wig once again easy, fast and, of course, made by yourself. I'M sure you want to learn how to transform your old wig in a brand new one. So let's get started cuz here we go first you're gon na need this magic product called gentian violet. I know in Brazil can find this product very easily on the market, not the same case in Europe. I don't know about the States, but I will pause here down below at the description box. Few links where you can find it on eBay and that's where I found mine and as a curiosity, this product is used to treat fungus, but it changed the color of any synthetic hair for 5 litres of cold water you're, going to need 10 drops of the Product I tried several respects, but that's the best one two drops for each litter be aware: this product can cause stains now, as you can see, I'm mixing the product with the water and you get this light purple. This is not very strong. You can see the base of the bucket and that's the sign that dose is okay. As you can see, I'm working in my bathroom, the cold shower, will be on just in front of the bucket, so I'm gon na wet my week before and I'm gon na start the process, but first of all get your wig soaking wet, and now we are Ready to start the process, you're gon na drop your wig very fast, like two or three seconds, nothing more than that and right away, you're gon na wash it with lots and lots of cold water. I would recommend you to try first with an old wig, so you can get used to the technique because it can be very, very tricky, but keep this thing in mind. The most important thing in this technique is drop. It very fast not more than three seconds on the product and just right away, wash it with a lot of water and be sure to prepare the right recipe, two drops of product for each liter of water and now what I did. I kept dropping the weight there in the product like nine times I did in total and I got the effect I really wanted. Last thing: you're gon na do is really give a good wash with lots and lots and lots of cold water right after that. You'Re gon na find a little place in your bathroom and leave the week there to dry, and I'm done and here your before and after before. It was a light blonde, yellow blonde and now a glamorous platinum with nearly two touch of purple, but that it depends on the light and it works for extensions and wigs with synthetic hair, yellow blonde hair. I mean so recapping two drops of the product for each liter of cold water. Don'T leave the way on the product for more than three seconds, washing the wig with a lot of water after the product and be aware the gentian violet stains everything. So that's it. Will this work for more a platinum blonde, but not as platinum as what you’ve achieved? You said you dipped 9 times, would dipping 4-5 times result in a more ashy platinum?
ithinkitsdashing: TIP: If you are going for a white wig and are worried about overdoing it and end up lightly purple, don't panic. I wanted my wig 100% white, so I went a little easier on the gentian violet. This resulted in me having to go in for a second "bleaching", which I didn't mind. Better safe than sorry. However, the tips DID end up slightly violet when I did this (you see this immediately), and I thought, great, I ruined it. spoiler: I did not. If you do this (and aim for white), just have liquid hand soap ready. I grabbed it on the logic of "it worked on my hands and the tub", and rubbed it in like a shampoo on the violet part. Rinsed, and it was white! I doubt this will work if you don't spot it more or less immediately, but, you know. Have it ready to use if you need it. Since the gentian violet works immediately, you could even do a "safety wash" with soap after just in case. (That said, I like the vaguely violet touch. It just was not what I was going for.) Hope that helps someone. Thank you SO much for this video, I would never have thought of this on my own ❤ I was really disappointed when I bought a wig that was advertised as white and it came lightly yellow. (That's buying wigs on a budget for you, sometimes the cheaper wig is not as described... )
Debbie: I have a question? I bought 2 synthetic wigs that are dark brown. I am a dirty blonde naturally, so the dark brown is too dark. A wig I bought prior to these wasn't the color I expected. I bought medium blonde and it was more like the color of the wig you showed before dying it so it was too light. So I bought these dark thinking they were going to be lighter and they were exactly as described. Now I LOVE them but I'm stuck. Would you happen to know how I can lighten my wigs? They don't have to be too much lighter, but even highlights would take away from the darkness. I would appreciate any advice you can give me. Thanks so much.
