The reason why I really want silver hair, because it's something new and you know we're only young once right, But I'm definitely lowkey pretty nervous, but hopeful and excited. Hi, I'm Stacey. Today, I'm getting icy silver hair.. But before you see my transformation, please subscribe below.. My hair journey goes way. Back. I've always wanted to experiment different colors., Only the tips, though. Pink, lavender aqua, which was accidental, but I liked it. Later on, I decided to go and get it professionally, done., Probably nine hours sitting in that chair.. I realize the pain was too much to tolerate and it was like very excruciating pain from what I remember. And I thought to myself. Maybe this is like a no pain, no gain kind of situation.. I didn't speak up, though, which I should. The following day. My scabs were falling off.. My whole head was like a sapphire blue.. It wasn't what I expected at all., So I was so traumatized then.. Now I decided to give it a try. Again., I'm really excited. Hi, I'm James. Hi.. Today, we're going to do silver, hair on you., I'm James Dearmiju., I own Miju, salon and level one studio here in Los Angeles California., So I'm best known for pastel, colors, silver, hair and also keeping the hair and scalp at a healthy level.. I'Ve been doing this for over ten years, so I gained a lot knowledge in that time.. Okay, so we're going to divide the sessions into two days just so we can keep your hair as healthy as possible.. So let's get started.! I like that, this time around. It'S going to be split up in two sessions., I believe putting all that pressure to my hair in one day or sitting to be a bit too much, especially if my scalp was hurting last time., So I feel a lot better.. I followed this stylist for some time and I trust him., So that kind of helped me conquer my fear., Maybe to the normal person. It looks like a just a simple bleach retouch, but actually it is a color correction, where there's multiple zones that you have to lift and follow and they all get light and get damaged a different time frame.. So we break it up into increments.. We start at the ends, get as light as possible and then the middle part and then the top. And then today's session. We pick out anything, that's slightly blonde and try to lift it safely. So we could get a silver result.. It takes time and you need a good eye for it. And definitely a lot of patience.. We check every ten to twenty minutes to make sure everything is going smoothly, and then we go to the next step. Next step would be the mids. We lift the mids and make sure that it doesn't get lighter than the ends, because then that will be too Damaging. So once it gets to the right part, we go to the next step., It's so heavy like my neck. It feels like, after doing like a hundred sit ups or something which is like pretty sore. Next step is on scalp. On scalp. We mix something very, very gentle., 20 volume with oro therapy, Fanola. That one's a fragrance free bleach and it's more nourishing.. So it's not itchy on the scalp.. So that's why I choose it.. It'S also a bit thicker., So it's not going to drip and damage the rest of the hair. For at home care. I recommend my clients to use Fanola Fiber Fix Bond Connector that one is a great mask and it really repairs everything.. Once we get that out of the way it's time for toning., We tone with an ash silver color, but it doesn't pick up the same as if the hair is all light is going to be a silver blonde instead of a silver ash. Color. To me, hair is an accessory, because you can always change it. Up.. You can cut it up in different styles. You can do different colors. And you know if it goes wrong or if it's not how you want it to be, you can always change it and it grows. We're done for the first session.. I'M excited for our next session in a week., Hey nice, to see you again. Hi.. So for the second session we are going to look at the hair, make sure we see which one's light which one's dark and which one is a little fragile., The fragile part. We avoid it or we put a treatment on it. On the dark parts, we're going to put a weak lightener to get it blonde. And the parts that are in between we're going to paint it a little bit. So it gets a little bit light, but not too much. After it all gets light evenly we're going to rinse it and we're going to apply the toner.. The toner is the same as last time, but it's going to pick up differently just because the hair canvas is completely different. This time. And then we have our icy silver hair., Ready to see your new hair Yes.. Okay open.! Oh my god. What do you think? Oh, my god, I'm blown away., Oh my god. You're, so icy. Yeah., You made me an icy queen. Nice.. Oh, I didn't think this would ever be possible. Overall. I feel super excited super happy and just really impressed, because this is an experience that I've never had. Before., I did not feel any pain., So I really like the results on Stacy's hair, especially on her skin tone.. I think she looks like a completely different person.. It looks really good on her., It's really shiny.. I love the waves.. I love the color and I hope she likes it too.. Is it important to see a professional for this Absolutely., Especially if the beach is going to go on your skin.? I am so relieved that I was able to get it done right. And it kind of changed. My whole perspective of you know letting go of your fear and doing your research too., And it's worth it just to get the results that you want. And it's just not the look that comes out. But it's also like how your hair and your head feels., Like my hair, looks good, but my head feels good as well. You ready to see my hair Yeah. Turn around., You like it Wow beautiful.. Some Thoughts: This has nothing to do with the video itself but I love how at the end @5:47 when she shows her parents she changed her accent. I do the same thing and sometimes people wonder why I don’t speak “normally” with them. It’s a sort of love language to switch it up that way and pronounce things the way they do.
