Easy to end and hard for me to start hey guys, it's elise - and i hope you guys are all doing well, i'm back with a new video. So here's the wig that i have i have their balayage highlighted curly v, part wig. Now my wig is 150 density. 20 inches long and once again it's in that curly texture, but right now i'm just co-washing the hair, i'm going in with my silicone mix conditioner and i'm detangling using my felicia leatherwood detangling brush and this wig got very minimal shedding. That is literally all i got after detangling, the entire wig, which was definitely a plus. Now i do plan on pulling out a little bit of my own natural hair and trying to blend it in with this wig, and i don't know if it's going to work or not so for the most part, i'm going to try to get some extra definition With this wig and really clump those curls together to resemble natural type for hair, which i don't think is going to happen, however, i am using my not your mother's conditioner and then i'm just shingling the curls together. I really wanted to get a tight curl. However, for the most part it just pretty much looks the same way. It came now. I just went ahead and i shingled up the curls clamped them together and i allowed the wig to dry laying down for a few hours on a towel. And then i put it on a canvas block to allow it to dry the remainder of the way. And this is what it looks like curls are popping, i'm in love with the color, so this wig does have those little wefted clips attached and since my hair was already braided, i'm just going to go ahead and anchor the wig onto my braids. Now, if you don't prefer to use the wefted clips, you can definitely use bobby pins or you can sew in your own little combs. Whatever is easier for your hair, however, i'm just going to go ahead and use them being extra careful not to rip through my hair. Now. This is the hard part, because i had a few of these wigs before in the past, and i cannot for the life of me, get them to look super natural kind of like around that outer band. So if you guys can reference a video down below and let me know like someone's method that may be effective, be sure to let me know, because i'd like to learn how to make this look realistic, but for the most part i've tried the teasing method. I tried, you know using a comb to kind of try to use the hairs to cover up the bands, and i just cannot get it to look realistic, like i don't even really know so. For the most part, i'm just going to pull out my natural hair and we're going to try to get it to blend in with this wig. I don't know if it's going to work, but we shall see so i'm going to go ahead and take off the wig and then i'm going to take down my two outer braids just along my parting area and we're going gon na try to get this wig To blend in with my hair, so when i braided my hair, i completely forgot that i blew it out, so i'm going in with a lot of water and a lot of gel in order to help encourage my hair to revert back now, i'm using my extreme Wet line gel to kind of help encourage my hair to spring back up, i'm also using the shingling method. To kind of help with that - and i know you guys noticed that my hair is turning a little white, i do have a lot of products sitting on my hair from when i braided it and a good way in order to get rid of that extra product. Is by using your diffuser attachment on your blow dryer and then just blow drying that dry or you can simply just wash your hair out now. My hair is due for a wash and i'm trying to get better at washing my hair at least once a week. So yeah it's the perfect time, but i have this product and i had it for a while now - and this is the curl smith hair makeup in the color copper and i decided to pull it out just to kind of add highlights to my hair so that It blends in better with the wig and yeah, i'm just applying a little bit of that to each little coil of hair, and i think it's a really good match. However, my hair is super tightly coiled because i have like that type for hair um. I don't care at this point: i'm just like okay, we're gon na get this to blend in by any means necessary. So i'm going to go ahead and do the other side once again using a lot of water, a lot of gel and then i'm going to go in with my curl smith hair makeup and just apply that to kind of give it like a subtle little highlighted. Look and i'll see you guys once i'm done with that, so i'm going to go ahead and get the wig on and, as i mentioned before, the texture of the wig is noticeably different than the texture of my natural hair. I am well aware of that. However, i'm going to try my best to get my hair to blend in flawlessly, so one thing that i wish i had done was allowed my roots to dry completely because of the humidity in the air and the fact that my hair is still damp. My roots are puffing up just a bit and um yeah, i'm using a little bit of gel just to kind of go in and redefine it and i'm using my blow dryer. Once again, however, i'm still not getting my hair to dry completely. So for the most part, we're just going to go with a frizzy look because a frizzy look is going to give you a very natural and defined and uniform look which it works for me. So let's go with it right now. I'M just smoothing out my hair and then i'm just going to use this little elastic band that came with the wig just to allow that to kind of lay flat and get everything to just sort of mesh well and go together. I let that sit on my edges for about 30 minutes and yeah. Now this is what it's looking like. You guys are noticing that my hair really really shrunk up. It really curled up and you do kind of notice the difference between the two. However, if you kind of go through the wig with a wide tooth comb, you can add some volume. Add some frizz get everything to kind of mesh well together and so for the most part, it just kind of works. Now i'm using my shea moisture, moisture mist in order to kind of add a little bit of extra shine to the wig and i'm also avoiding getting it on my natural hair, because i don't need any extra frizz and this is what it looks like um yeah. My hair is definitely type 4 compared to the wig, which is, like you know, type 3 or so. However, for the most part it still looks good and i love it once again. You guys do check out unis.
