Easy Curly Hair Halloween Costume Ideas + Giveaway

All right class settle down today. We have a very special lesson for this very special texture, tuesday, we'll be talking a little bit about frizz but, most importantly, we're going to talk about the importance of halloween. It'S a wonderful time to have fun and express who you truly would love to be. Isn'T that right, liz you, okay, now come along! We'Ve got a very special field trip planned for you all today, you too goldilocks huh, what's good everybody and happy halloween 2020. The first ever, which makes this video extra special liz you got to calm down this video is going to be extra special because we're not only going to show you how we created our halloween looks this year, but we're going to be sharing all of the harrowing Looks that you created as part of our harrowing 2020 costume contest. Now, as your teacher, i will be grading you all very fairly and we're so excited to pick and announce the winners of the giveaway, but first before we do any of that, we'll have to show you how we created these harrowing. 20 20 looks, and we also would like to thank crow smith for partnering with us on this video. We used some of their amazing hair makeup, color gels to create our hair. Color looks, and they also so kind of gifted us lots of curls and goodies to gifts to the five giveaway winners, but without further ado we shall show you how we created these looks so all aboard the magic school bus now miss frizzle could use a color Job and we will get to that, but first, let's prep our hair - shall we i'm going to be applying as per usual. One of my favorites, the weightless air dry cream and the man is a little extra extra. I will be using the homie sophie style balm. One of my favorites, as you know, i just finished this one moving on to my i don't know third or fourth bottle now, so it's a fresh bottle. It'S like when you open a fresh jar of nutella. That'S how i feel when i open a new one of this now as goldilocks she's gon na have really big juicy ringlets, so she needs to make sure her hair is super hydrated. Is there enough water in there? I'M not because i've talked too much and my hair dried, okay. Well, let's make sure, there's enough water in there and apply enough product. Shall you, as amanda's mentioned, the holy softly style bomb, is heavier and richer than the weightless air dry cream? Hence weightless - and this is just like a nice leave-in conditioner. So that's why i'm applying this first now that we are prepped and ready we're going to be sectioning our hair, so that we can get the best application of both our color and of our curls. I have sectioned away miss frizzle's money piece. Is that natural, or does she get her hair done all the time because i swear her roots, just don't grow. I can't really and amanda's sectioned away half of her very thick hair. Yes, that we're very aware of it's time to apply the color now the color that we are using is curl smith's, hair makeup gels. This is both a gel and hair color all in one. So that's how we're going to use it we're going to use it like our regular styling gel, but keeping in mind that we want that vibrant color. So right around my hairline, i'm going to be applying the curl smooth, hair makeup in gold and then everywhere else. I'M going to be applying the curls with hair makeup in copper and as miss frizz. I want big hair right now, so i am really going to focus on a rake and squeeze kind of technique and how i'm going to be applying. The gel is by first finger coiling, my curls in large chunks, so that i can really achieve the big defined ringlets. That goldilocks has so i'll start with applying the color gold. Obviously, and as i'm finger coiling, i'm making sure that each section of hair is thoroughly brushed out because that's how i'll make sure that i'll get a smooth defined ringlet without any knotting or frizz. So if you're not familiar with us or with this channel, this is actually not our first time using this color we've used it many times before they come in five different colors, ruby, copper, gold, turquoise and rose gold and the best part about them. Is you don't have to worry about it? Staying in your hair at all whatsoever, or your clothes or skin, because look i've used the sprays yeah. I'Ve even used the wax i've used so many different things, but the sprays dry, my hair out drastically yeah the waxes leave. This residue and they're also very stiff to work and they transfer very easily as well yeah. These are the most transfer resistant so of everything i've tried. These are the best i've used, especially for curls, and that's why we continue to use them even outside of halloween, and we will be linking everything that we're using today in the description just in case, you want to recreate the same. Look that we're doing today or something similar. This is actually my first time using the color gold. I have not used gold, yet i have not used the copper yet. I used the copper, i loved the copper and, of course, i've used the ruby to create a mermaid as well i'm gon na. Let you catch up, but i am gon na scrunch, my hair. Now - and i don't know if you can hear that, but my hairs are quite moist - you wan na make sure they're, nice and moist when you are applying this. Look how vibrant it is now now i want to make sure i get every spot on my head, because the frizz wears this beautiful little updo all the time, so she can deal with the kids without her hair. Getting in her face, you know. Third, graders are a lot to handle. My third grade teacher wanted to clone me and make me her entire class. You know that or was that my fourth week a little that's what she told my mom. What can you do? Sometimes the teachers loved you, and sometimes they hated you all right. So now we both have our color in and before we get to drying. I want to make sure my hair, this frizzles hairs are all set and if you look at her she's got like this waviness going around her face. I have simply brushed the sections down, so you can already see this wave action happening and i'm just going to take some clips that i have um. You know these are fancy. They don't have to be it's just what i have on me right now and i'm going to pin the hair and set it one flip back. One clip forward one clip back: it's not adorable, so here's the dress before we've got a lot of fun things here. That'S cute: it's a halloween adventure. That'S why she's wearing halloween stuff, but i would also like to maybe add a pic here and there now. Normally, when i'm doing these types of things, i'm learning on the spot, learn as we go. I think you just iron. It serious, i don't think it's that serious put the patch on the clothes put the clothes on the patch. This is not english but like. How is this gon na sit on you? Should we put the dress on you and then tape them with tape? Where everything looks good, it's supposed to be tacky. Well, look at the picture. Miss rizzo yeah, i'm very familiar with what she looks like i am her. She is me this is what we got we got ta make. We got ta work with what we got here. So we are back, we wait, wait. Let me let me get my hair down, i clipped it up while we were eating it by the way. Last night after we finished um sewing and creating my dress. It was a very late evening, but here we are, and it is officially the day that we are going to go through all of these submissions for the costume, harrowing and touch our own questions. And yes, of course before that, we need to finish our own costumes. So kids, let's get to it now. Luckily we don't have any crazy makeup to do. No, so these costumes really don't require a lot of makeup. So don't worry! We'Re not gon na put you through a makeup tutorial here. I'M gon na really play on blush and freckles and really make it look like doll like very cute and cuddly and miss frizzle is just a natural beauty period yeah, so really we're just using most of our everyday makeup that we use every day. So now that our makeup is complete, we need to finish up our hairs now. This is day two, so we're gon na do a little bit of a refresh and then go in with our styles. So first we'll refresh our color because we want it to be a little bit more vibrant and we'll show you how we do that very very easily without having to wet our hair down again and you can see. I have the little clips in my front section here that have held that shape in place, but my hair is completely dry. So now i'm just going to remove this, and now i'm able to see the color more and i can see where i need to add a little bit more just to refresh and sister your finger coils are on faux lingerie. I have like a little sausages. Your finger coils are on finger fleek, so before maddie uses up all the gold, i'm gon na take a little bit more on my front tendrils. Now, when i'm refreshing with the color, i like to mix it with a serum. If i want it to be nice and soft, so i'm going to take a little bit of this a little bit of my favorite serum and just mix that together and it creates a really nice smooth and silky application. And i'm going to be doing the same thing and then kind of just use a praying hands, technique and kind of kiss my curls just a little bit. I'M also going to break up a little bit of the ringlets because i feel like they're. I want a little bit more volume, you're a child, you know, but i do a little bit more going. Are you able to put some more gold into my fingers? Probably your hands are just as dirty now. My orange held up really good because underneath it is blonde, so it does reflect more light. You can see on my roots where it was really dark. The color came out a little bit darker. The color sits on top of your hair, so it's reflecting on the top, but those underneath unless you're packing on the color. It does still shine through and if it's light underneath the color is going to look lighter. If it is dark, underneath you're going to have that darkness in between now, my hair is going up in a bun, so i'm going to be using an invisible to tie my hair up. I will be leaving the front gold section out, pulling everything else back and before i put the headband on i'm going to first fluff out my roots a little bit with this pick. This is called a spriggle and it's different than your regular pick, because you can see that the prongs are actually more spaced out. So this won't break up my curls too much, but it'll also give me a little bit more volume because i feel like my hair is just really stuck to my head, because i have so much definition. So for the bun, i've just gathered my hair into a ponytail at the back of my head here and i'm going to flip all this hair forward, gather it in my hand and then tie the elastic. Now i want my hair to look nice and big, so i'm pulling a lot of the pieces out from the bun to make my oh, that's a great scalp full. So now that i have a little bit more volume, i'm just gon na steal the show from you and i'm just gon na say i already parted my hair to the side and i'm just going to pin a couple of these curls back, because i feel like Goldilocks kind of has that little sweeped bang effect, and then you see her cute little headband. So that's what i want to create here and i feel like with the frizz, the bigger the better, like her kids call her the frizz. I just love it now. I just picked up this headband from amazon and it's gon na place. How do i look you're? That'S a great bun! Look, look you look like a blondie again. Do i yeah? Do you miss this color, not this color, but your lighter hair color. I i haven't. Even got a chance to enjoy my new color, this is the bun. Now i think i need to add some more color around the sides. Yeah one side's. In the background it's coming along it's coming along. I was looking really scary for a while yeah i mean you're coming along too. I think we just really need our final touches. Yes, fabulous. I think we're missing something where's liz there. She is so now the moment that we've all been waiting for it's time to go through. All of your amazing harrowing looks i'm ready to grade your report cards. We got our whole judges panel. Yes, we got the whole judges panel. We only have two bears today. Okay, some of the first entries they didn't read the directions and they didn't realize it was a costume contest, so they were sending their best fair days. You have great hair, looks fabulous yeah, the hair looks fabulous. It'S just that looks fabulous. Oh that's really! Good makeup. It'S jazzy hi jessie, it's probably cute whoa, look at the teeth and everything i feel like. I want to brush my teeth. I know fire makeup. This one is she's a bird's nest. I really like that. I think that's her color, that's right! I mean it really. Is your color like it looks so good, look at her curls dude a little bit so cute beauty, she's, the beast, she's, the beast and the melo back. Are they related and leslie? Do you guys know each other edward scissorhand beyonce? Is it beyonce? I will go like this. The next thing, your throat, that's scary. You got notes she's using your voice. So i wanted to see more. I know this. This is going to be extremely difficult to narrow it down, because there have been so many incredible incredible costumes that have inspired me and hopefully inspired you, but when it comes down to our costume contest winners for the giveaway we are looking for, who can most creatively Incorporate their curls into their costumes. So how does the hair tie into the wing? I mean yeah the effort that some people put in this one it has to go. I thought she absolutely nailed. She'S nailed it. She nailed it. Okay! I i love this. It'S simple, but i love it this. She did really well there too, this one too, okay, so basically all of them. No i'm picking this one yeah, so, basically, all of them and they're all amazing.
