Halos welcome back so today's video I wanted to share with you exactly how you can start your business with zero dollars. This pretty much goes for if you're looking to get into the custom wig making business. So I'm gon na share with you exactly how I got started with my business. If you guys are interested to see exactly or here exactly how I did that, and you want to do it too then definitely keep watching this video. I started as well as own. The my custom wig business, which is a more wigs calm. The first thing I'm going to start with, is bright. Pretty much like an intro to my business, I'm gon na keep it short and sweet pretty much. I have had my business for about two years now. I started with custom wigs and then I branched off into selling hair extensions closures, front tools and already made wigs as well. I started with zero dollars. I didn't have any hair. I really didn't have any supplies or anything like that. If you were looking to get into the custom wig making business, you can start your business with zero dollars. So the first thing that I did when starting my business is, of course I had to decide what I was going to sell when it comes to my business. I know I had so many ideas I wanted to make custom wigs. I wanted to sell hair extensions. I wanted to sell closures. I wanted to sell front tools. I wanted to sell already made units, but I knew that I had to start somewhere because I didn't have the money to get to buy the hair, to buy the closures about the frontals and so on. So I decided to start my business with just making custom wigs and once I made a decision on what I was going to sell. The next thing that I decided to do was think of a unique name for my business. I pretty much decided on naming my business of more wigs. If you guys do not know, I do love wigs. I tend to wear wigs a lot, so I felt that a more wigs will be perfect if you guys do not know more means, love and French. So love wigs, so that's exactly how I created the name for my business, so the next thing after I decided what I was going to sell as well as the name of my business, I decided. Where was I going to sell my custom wigs and you guys you have like different options, you can sell it strictly online or you could do like pop-up shops, where you can basically basically like do a pop-up sale in different areas in where you live. But I don't want to do all that, so I actually just made a decision to sell online. Now there are a lot of sites where you can create your online store on their site, and I decided with Big Cartel now. There'S like Big Cartel this Etsy there's shop. I think it's Shopify. You can also do like what is. I think it's big commerce, it's completely up to you, but I decided to do Big Cartel, because Big Cartel does have different packages and their first package is. You can create, like your own online store on their site for free, okay, you don't have to pay a monthly fee or anything like that. If you are only going to so, they do have a package where it's completely free. You can create your site on their site and you can post up to five products and I think each product you're able to post, I think, one to two photos of it. You can't create a description. You can create a price shipping everything for no money at all. So when I first started out, I did do the big card sales package, where it's absolutely free five products, and that was it and then once I started making sales I branched off and went up to their next package Wiz, which is like the $ 9.99 package To $ 9.99 package, I think you get at least like twenty-five products. You'Re able to you have 25 different products, and each product is able to have up to five photos, and that was only after. I started making sales and I knew that I would be able to cover that $ 9.99 cost that big house big cartel charges you per month and I've been using that same exact package for the last almost two years. So yeah you guys, you can definitely create your online store and you don't have to do it on Big Cartel. Other sites do offer like free, free us jumpstart when it comes to creating your online store their option to sell your products. If you don't want to do online stores, you can definitely just start creating invoices you can use, I think it's Google Checkout or you can use PayPal and or I believe, stripe, stripe comm and actually create a invoice on PayPal. You can create an invoice on stripe and I believe you can create an invoice on Google Checkout, create the invoice, send it to the client or customer and then have them go ahead and pay for the item that they want you to make, and you can do It just like that there are a few more other options. You can do eBay. You can sell your uh, your wigs on eBay. You can sell your wigs through a cash app same thing. If you know someone that wants to buy your custom wig, you can just basically tell them to go to the cash app. Send me the money and I'll go ahead and sing you, the wig. You can also do Facebook yeah. If you guys do not know, Facebook has their marketplace where you can go to your Facebook accounts and it's like an option, and I think it's like down below on, like the bottom of the page and it'll, give you the option of the marketplace and you can Create your products or you can sell your products on Facebook marketplace, so those are a lot of options you guys when it comes to finding where you will sell your products. I know you guys are thinking like okay. Well, I have the name of my business. I know what I want to sell. I know exactly where I want to sell my items, but how am I going to make wigs for clients if I don't have any hair now the biggest option that you can do when it comes to making custom wigs is have the client or the customer / Supply their own hair, okay - and that's exactly what I did. I actually did an option. I told them that I do not supply the hair. I do not supply the closures and I do not supply the frontals. You will have to supply your own hair and what I will do is I will create the custom wig for you style. It cut it. However, you want that's basically what I did and with that with that option you guys you do not have to come out of pocket for anything because the client or the club, yet the client or the customer are pretty much supplying everything to you. Okay, so they're supplying their hair if they want to close your wig they're, supplying the closure and the hair if they want a lace front, wig they're, supplying the lace front as well as the here right. So the next thing I'm gon na go ahead and get into is packaging. I know you guys are pretty much thinking like okay. Well, I know I'm gon na have to dish out some money when it comes to packaging, and you may ain't you may not. It depends on exactly how you want to package your products when it comes to your clients or customers buying it from you now I do want to tell you a free option. A free option is, if you guys do not know the post office has a area on their site where you can actually get them to ship, their shipping boxes and shipping packages to you for free. You do not have to come out of pocket for that. If you guys are interested in that option, all you have to do is google, how to get the post office, the USPS shipping boxes or shipping items to you for free and they'll ship it to you for free? I have done it before in the past and they'll ship. You, like a good amounts of boxes, guys pretty much have everything you know that you're gon na have your clients supply their own hair, so you don't have to buy the hair. You found a site where you can create your online store for free. You have the name of your business. You know that you can get free shipping boxes from the USPS, so you pretty much have not put any money down now. The next thing is, you guys think about promoting. Okay promotion is free. Okay, and when I started my business, I promoted my business for free. I did not go out and try to get someone to advertise my business or promote my business for a certain fee. You guys can do this absolutely on your own. The good thing about me is because the way that I was able to promote my business is, I have a YouTube channel, so I started making videos about my custom wigs. I started letting people know that I open up my custom, wig business and if you guys are interested, you can go to my website and I can make custom wigs for you. If you do not have a YouTube channel, you guys can use other other social media sites. You can use Facebook, you can use Twitter, you can use Instagram, it's completely up to you, where you want to start promoting your business. If you're going to promote your business like on Facebook or Twitter, post pictures of your different custom, wigs that you've made or you're going to post it on Instagram, you could post short videos on how you make custom wigs. So we'll start with the the parading stage and then show people the final look of the custom wig that you made that's free promotion right there, you guys the good thing about that. Is you guys you are your own promoter? Okay, what that means is, if you are making wigs make wigs for yourself if you do not have any social media site at all, when you walk out the door, make sure you're wearing your product. Okay, if you are making custom wigs start wearing your custom wigs. I bet you, you would get a lot of people to ask. You oh way to get your wig from or you know, where'd you get your hair done and you could just pretty much tell them hey. I make this custom wig, I'm in custom. Wigs! That'S one idea that you guys can do or one thing that you can do to start promoting in business janna that would pretty much open up a door to getting new clients or new customers, and if I do get a customer or a client. That actually approaches me and asks me about my hair or my wig, or anything like that. I always would have a business card now. I know you guys are thinking like well business cards. They cost pretty much. No, they don't um. I found a way to do way to get business cards as well. If you guys do not know about Vistaprint, you definitely need to know about vistaprint.com. That is where exactly I get my business cards from, and I believe that you can get maybe like 50 business cards for about maybe like 10 dollars or something like that. But I know they have different packages where you can create your own business card. Put all the information that you want direct people to your website and you can actually hand these business cards out to people that come and stop you and ask you where you get your wig from so you guys. I pretty much told you exactly how you can start your custom wig business with no money. I know so many of you have left me comments. Sent me. Emails left me comments on my social media sites. Asking me how to start your business and pretty much. I told you guys how to start your business with zero dollars. You can definitely do that and then, once you start making sells, you can start adding on products. You can start, you know boosting up the packaging when it comes to your online site. You can start buying packaging if you want like a more decorative type of packaging when you ship your custom, wigs to your clients or customers. You can definitely do that, but if you do not really have any money whatsoever, I suggest you guys take the route that I took and then wait till you start making a profit off of your business and then start slowly buying different things for your business.
