Hey everybody welcome back to taz's wig closet at wig studio one. Today, i'm going to present a new style by tressalore for 2020. This is called modern curls in the color 10 130 r. You won't want to miss everything about the style and color coming out. So tressallure's modern curls is a short full body, curly voluminous style, but aren't you ready to dig into this beautiful red shade this 10 130r? So what it is? It starts with a medium brown and that brown is pretty neutral and then it's very heavily highlighted. Then, with a very bright red like a cherry red, it's a blue-based red highlight, but it really really pops, especially in sunlight and natural light. You can really see those highlights popping, and then all of that is on a slightly darker root that root transitions beautifully into the main body of this color. It'S a well blended highlight - and i believe this falls somewhere in the cooler range just because it's more of a blue based red, highlight on a neutral brown base, so the style, modern curls, actually feels a little retro to me. Ironically. So um, you know what i feel like it has some elements of a shag to it, just because all the layering comes off of a little bit of a flatter crown and kind of wants to sweep forward. There'S lots of flips and movement everywhere. So it does have some elements of that old-fashioned shag, but it also has a full body curl. So maybe what is old is new again with this style. It has that full body curl that just reminds you maybe of old hollywood. It is opposed to a lot of the trendier uh curly styles out today that have more of a thinned out uh taken down tapered look to them. These are more full body and intact, big soft, barely curls that have been just right through a little bit and they're all over. Now, when you take this style out of the box, you're going to want to give it a really nice shake that's going to loosen the fiber a little bit and help set the movement free when you put it on, don't be alarmed that there's just all of This going on and you're not quite sure what to do you're going to want to try to find a little bit of a parting space first and then kind of mold and shape the curl around the face, starting at that part. Now this is the kind of style that you don't have to have a part. It'S a traditional cap, there's no laser monofilament, so you don't have to designate it to designate a part to this. I'M just suggesting that, as a place to start for you to start loving and working with this style that you would find a little bit of a natural part and then just start working out from there. I think it's a very lovable adorable style that'll work. Well for you, if you like big voluminous curls um. This is a big style, so let's check out the specs just so you know where all of these layers may fall now. Curly style is going to skew those measurements quite a bit. Some curls are tighter. Some are looser. You get the idea, so we're looking at about a three inch front piece here and again: that's curly um. I believe that it's every bit of five inches from the front, but in its curl pattern, is kind of where they're coming up with the three, because three inches from my forehead or my hairline down to the uh. The eyebrow is about three and a half inches. So that's where i think they're coming up with that measurement. There'S a six inch crown and, like i said, you're not going to get that bump and profile in the back um, it's more of a flatter crown and then the curl kind of swirls. Out from that flatter, flatter crown there's a couple of different layers in the back, giving it a nice stacked effect, and then that boils down into about a three inch nape. The three inch nape is also curly. However, i believe it offers some beautiful coverage. It sweeps around the ear very nicely and obscures the natural hairline. This feels very lightweight on the head. I think it weighs just under three ounces and again it's a traditional cap, so you're going to find a lot of permatease on this cap. Now the permatease serves two purposes: it's going to cover up all of the wefting and machine made elements of this cap, but it's also going to provide a scaffolding for these curls and all this volume. So you can get in there with your fingers and just kind of prop it up and create and sculpt all kinds of different looks. It may surprise you to know this is a heat friendly style by tressallure, there's a few of those newer ones that have come out that are made from a heat friendly fiber, and they say that that is heat friendly up to 320.. So that's good news on a style like this, because you can mold and sculpt. This use a little bit of heat from your hand, but also a little bit of help from a heat appliance. If you want a different look, so you could flip these out, you could create a more classic look. You could put in a little bit of more soft and cohesive curl or you could straighten a bit in areas that you like a little bit of a slimmer profile. I think it's ideal on a style like this, so there's a heavy amount of permatease on this style, but it doesn't feel it doesn't feel hot on the head. It doesn't feel too heavy or bulbous. I think all that volume is being done by permatease supporting these full body curls. The density is just an average density. I don't look at this as being a heavy density style at all. It does it actually feels kind of light and airy. Now the the texture of these curls is a little more coarse. Therefore, you're, probably not going to get that tousled feathery look out of them. The movement is really not there on this style, just because of the coarser texture of the fiber. So this is definitely a style that you're going to have to work on to make it your own. This is one of those styles that if, if even experienced wigwear seen you in it, they probably wouldn't recognize it. I actually thought this looked a little like the the belletress siciliano that has these more full body curls, but it's out of the way it's a beautiful length, especially uh, with a heat friendly fiber. I think it would look very elegant for holiday styling, with a nice dangly earring and during the the styling segment. Then i'll just show you a few things that you can do to change up. The look so inside of the cap for tressallure's modern curls. It'S an open cap you'll see the open tracks there on the top, a beautiful velvet piece right at the front. I love when they do that, it's very comfortable. They also do a little bit of a hidden weft they're at the hairline lots of wefting. This one has a closed velvet covered ear tab with lots of fiber spliced in great coverage on this cap. This is a standard velvet nape with velcro style adjusters. What you need to know about sizing is that this was pretty large right out of the box. I would say it's average, to average large you'll notice that i had to cinch it in and practically crisscross the adjusters to get a secure fit for a 20 21 and a quarter inch circumference. So just be aware that this this cap size is a little more average with a lot more stretch than your typical uh tressallure, that fits a petite average. All i did to the style was, i took it out of the box, gave it a shake, applied, it kind of found a little bit of a natural parting space and started to work, those curls just kind of moved and maneuvered them around the face. That'S all i have done to this style, so the sky really is the limit um. You can use heat on this style. As i mentioned, you could probably get a little slimmer profile out of it. Sculpt this style really. Well. I, like a nice slim profile around the sides, so i think i might try doing some of that. The glasses fit very nicely between the ear and the ear tab on this style. It doesn't seem to be too heavy with permatease right there on the ear tab. So i think i'll just go ahead and create some different looks for you we'll try for some volume, some parting options, and maybe this will inspire you to work with your other curly. Wigs as well have a wonderful day we'll talk soon on tesla's wig closet at wig studio, one, you

Dee Roga Tory: How fun! Look at how your eyes pop with this color! If I was a short wig wearer I would wear this one messy, it's so fun! I once did a hair show, went in Pamela Anderson blonde and walked out with this color, LOL. what a shocker it was to my wardrobe. The Tress Allure line is just a great fit for me . I loved this with a headband. So out of the box CHIC. LOVE LOVE LOVE!

Jennifer S: Your styling of this wig brings it to a whole different level - so cute with the Taz touch! Hope you had a wonderful Christmas!

Sharon L: Thank you for reviewing Modern Curls, Taz! When you styled her smooth on the sides and front it reminded me so much of Charlotte which I love. I need shorter styles for work and I think this might be fun. That color... oh my goodness!! I don’t think I’d buy it but I absolutely love it!! Wishing you and your family a restful day after Christmas ❤️

Kaye Carter Mature Woman Daily Dose: There is not one wig that doesn’t look good on you. So cute...love you red headed. Sending hugs prayers and kindness with love

Dee Roga Tory: Taz- your make up is always flawless. I don't know if you've ever talked about makeup and tones with wigs and have always wondered, what foundation you use. Do you find you keep all tones of foundation on hand when shooting or do you stay with your tried and true color?

Anna Adams: Beautiful wig ~ I loved how you styled it ~ that’s when I fell in love with this one

claudianowakowski: It's a slightly modernized take on how my mother wore her hair in the 60s, 70s, 80s. The shag look is modern, but the overall shape reminds me of the 70s.

Wyzer Now: Red looks great on you... perhaps not this particular shade of red, but yeah... red looks fantastic with those eyes and your coloring.

The Indecisive Wig Wearer: That color is awesome with your eyes and skin!

Jennifer Steele: Too cute!!!! I love the color - and the color of your top looks great with your the hair color. You are blessed to have a neutral skin tone because you are able to wear any color and look equally great in every color!

Front Porch Wig Chat: Oh, my, I agree that it's retro! Remember the Hullabaloo show and the girls dancing in the fringed short dresses? Some of those had that hair! That color really pops on you with your gorgeous eyes. ~Cynthia

Monika's Beauty & Lifestyle: What a fun piece and I love the color! You can pull every look off! Hugs!

Margaret Tassey: "This is a big style." Yes, yes it is.

Karen's Kloset: Thank you so much for reviewing this cool violet based red this is the only color red that works with my pink complexion I cannot pull off any of those copper Reds or copper highlights or Golden Tones I need a reddish brown and this is beautiful. And your eyes really pop with this color it looks beautiful with your skin tone as well I love this style because it's actually like my bio hair I've got a lot of hair but I don't like messing with it that's why I wear wigs

Sandra G. McAlister: Absolutely adorable on you, Taz. I know you love the blondes but other colors look really great on you too. This color is gorgeous!! Thanks for sharing and have a great day!!

CindyLuvsID: Yup, time capsule wig.....Palm Springs tourists in the 70's. :)

Elle Cee: I love this! For all my love for straight styles, for long styles, for mid-length--there is a place for this fun look. And the color is wonderful because it is blue-based rather than yellow. I love it.

Mary Hipp: Wow, you look great in this wig and color. Thanks for sharing.

Miryana Curcic: I really liked when you smoothed her down, many styling options and great for a wedding. The color is stunning and it's good to see you review another interesting color and matching top to go!

Debra Englander: Beautiful on you. Gives me Madonna - whose that girl vibes. Thank you for another great review

Terri: I love this wig Taz! Thank you for showing it. Please show more wigs like this style. Today’s look seems to be so straight all the time for everyone. I just love the shorter cut, large curls and volume!!! Please show more brunettes also if you could. And you look fabulous in that color!!

Connect With Your Deck: Hi Taz my modern curls just arrived! So so happy I got both rooted blondes 14-26-10R and 24-102-R12 both colours are gorgeous!! and the hair is STUNNING!! Really lovely density and shape

swineinny1: You know, I’ve been binging on old Perry Mason eps & the style of this one reminds me of Della Street! Oh, sure, this is way more modern, w/o all the ‘60’s teasing & sprayed stiffness. I like it, but it reminds me that I’d love to see you do another vid on changing a wig drastically with heat styling, which you could do with this one. I’d also love to see this one in other colors.

AJ Row: Such a gorgeous color! It looks like how my mama wore her hair! Very Elizabeth Taylor! Love it!❤️

Robb Endicott-Powers: VA VA VA VOOM!!!! Sassy curls to ring in the New Year! Would love to see you model Kristi by JR in a red. Kristi has been my jam so far. Just lovely Taz! Thank you for all you do!

Tzofiya Harris: wow what you can do with hair is amazing ❤️

Judy Bennett: I adore that style and the color is devine! Yes it reminds me of how my mom wore her hair in the '60's and '70's. but that's a good thing! I think they called it the"bubbIe" hairdo. You look like Ann- Margret!! I think that retro is making a comeback (no pun). This will be my first wig for 2021 and to celebrate I joined WS1's facebook page to offer mutual support to the wig wearing community.

Tzofiya Harris: wow what you can do with hair is amazing ❤️

MoodyGirl Beauty: So fun and cute!!! Taz can wear ANYTHING!!!

sdraper2011: So cute but definitely vintage! I immediately thought of Samantha's cousin Serena in the tv show "Bewitched" from the 60s.

Jan Griesmer: I'm thinking the Modern Curls wig has more entirely different looks than any others I've seen you demonstrate, and that is saying something! Good job, Taz!

Janis Huey: I was not sure about this one, at first, but after you really got in there and moved those fibers around, I could see the possibilities. Adorable!
