Ever since the world at large learned who meghan markle is the duchess of sussex has been a renowned style icon, leaving fans to wonder what her next look may be. Marco looks just as comfortable rocking a casual denim look as she does dawning a fascinator for any high society events. Of course, there may be fewer of those events she needs to dress up for now, ever since she and prince harry officially stepped down from their roles. As senior royals, but while megan isn't afraid to go casual black tie or something in between for her many public outings, her hair has usually remained the same. So far. The fashion world has yet to see marcol opt for anything other than her signature, sleek looking locks, which she often wears in beachy waves or in an elegant up to. However, there's one hairstyle in marcol's arsenal that she's yet to invoke back in 2017 kami crawford co-host of mtv's catfish and former miss teen usa posted to twitter that meghan markle's hair is naturally curly. Alongside a pic of markle. As a teen crawford wrote, we got curls in the royal palace y'all, starting a petition to get megan to wear a fresh wash and go around the palace. A number of twitter users agreed with crawford saying they love the curls and calling them beautiful. While it's solely markle's choice as to how she should wear her hair, some have noted how powerful it would be to see markle who is biracial, wear her hair. Naturally, it can be rare to see black natural hair depicted in the media, both because there isn't enough diversity on screen and because black actors and actresses are often not accommodated with competent hair stylists. According to the hollywood reporter, in fact, black actresses have become accustomed to styling their own hair. Actress, natasha rothwell told the outlet in february 2020, it's a real disservice to actors of color who are effectively doing someone else's job and not getting paid for it. Oh look at that. She cute it's easy to imagine that royal hairstylist might not know or have a lot of experience with how to handle black hair. Now that markle has stepped down from her royal duties, we have already seen her start to take more control of her own look in july 2020, when markle appeared on video during the girl lap leadership summit with waist-long locks, some wondered if markle had gotten extensions. However, markle's former hairstylist george northwood insisted this wasn't the case northwood told the telegraph she's, making a statement with hair that long it represents strength and a sense that she's really got everything sorted. This straighter longer hairstyle marks a new chapter in her life. Without such strict protocols, so now that markle has had the opportunity to embrace the hairstyle of her choosing, perhaps wearing her hair, naturally isn't too far off in the horizon. In the meantime, if you're curious as to how markle gets her hair, so straight fioni caculi, a stylist at the nikki clark salon in london has your answer. She told people magazine in 2018. Megan came to see me at least twice for keratin treatments. It'S great for people with naturally curly hair like megan. It takes the frizz out and makes it more manageable. She said it made a real difference: markle isn't the only celebrity who's a fan of keratin treatments. Sarah jessica, parker and jane krakowski are reportedly both fans of the popular de-frizzing technique. Of course, treatments like keratin can only go so far. Upkeep of your hair is just as important and markle is no slouch in that department. Caculi told people she has really beautiful hair. Her hair was in such lovely condition, and you could tell that she really looks after it and that she was proud of it. Echos Bunnywoman: Beauty fades , ugly is forever !

Carolyn Emma: All the hair clothes makeup or a distorted sense of entitlement can't hide an ugly character or personality

Paula Carter: Meghan Markle has gone out her way to appear and embrace Caucasian side. Hair straightening, rhinoplasty, a less than diverse friend posse, white men... THEN she married into the most famous white family on earth! Embracing her African American heritage is not her norm. Why change now? Don’t hold your breath on those curls.

Annie S: Black hair is absolutely stunning. I’m Italian. I have hair that is very thin, curly and kinky. I love my curls! I love black women’s hair and mine is very close in texture. I don’t understand going against nature. Why can’t we all embraced what nature gave us?(which makes us all unique.) If we would accept our natural selves we would all except our differences and embrace those unique traits, that’s were real beauty is.

Marcia: It's surprising that Meghan hasn't been accused of cultural appropriation for always wearing her hair straight and getting her nose re-shaped.

Jane Sansome: She looks exactly like her mum as she gets older she will be the image

Amy Sutton: As my Granny always said, “Pretty is as pretty does.”

Brenda B: Meghan might have had her hair chemically relaxed. A friend of mine has the most beautiful curly hair, she used to get it chemically straightened. After she had her second precious baby, she let it go natural. It's really beautiful!

Augustbeauty69: Natural hair is beautiful.

Kdubs Supergma: The "elegant updo" mentioned around 43 sec. looks suspiciously like Olive Oyl, who also did not rock natural waves.

Marija Milojković: Koja li je tajna zdrave kose Meghan Markle?

Veronica Reeves: People are so narrow minded. There are many races where people have hair like this. Everyone wasn't meant to have straight hair. All hair types are very beautiful. You don't have to be black or biracial to have a lovely head of curls whether they are loose, tight, or wavy.

Faith Wedderburn: I am black I had a relaxer for many years until 10 years ago I made the decision to wear my hear in it's natural state. It is a matter of personal choice.

Shaila Diamond: So many different textures among us. She wears her hair how she wants to like everyone else. Our hair is so versatile hardly news worthy

PORNSTARLIVESMATTER: the thing is she tried to hide it for years in hollywood. she has done many things to hide her true self. she needs to work on her inside and then let her hair down

Tricia Barr: Around the 2:12 minutes mark you incorrectly said that MM had waist length locks..when in fact it's clearly not, that her extensions only just covered her breasts. The waist is at least another 6" to 8" inches lower than where her extensions ended at in the picture used of her in the bright blue sleeveless blouse. In a faux "Cher" or "Kim Kardashian" style look.

Gracie Rose Miller: I'm not a fan of MM but reading these comments I thought I would clear up a few things being biracial myself. When you are biracial and you can pass as white as I do then you identify as white but if you are darker like my sister you will identify as black. If you are lucky like Meghan you can identify as either. Identifying as one or the other isn't easy because you feel like your betraying one side for the other that feeling comes from some people in the black community. I look white I don't have the same struggles as my sister and there are lots of inspiring women for her in the black community. People should be allowed to identify as they like look as they want and not be shamed for it. Meghan identifies as white when it's convenient and black when it fits a narrative and that is unfair to all biracial women as well as black women. Especially now that she is high profile so I hope that she can learn to embrace both sides of herself. She would be a great spokesperson in uniting white and black communities which we really need.

Pollyanna Principle: I have naturally big hair. Any time I use a hair product to try to make it more manageable, some of my hair falls out so I've learned to only use shampoo with limited chemicals, only wash it once a week, and avoid other hair products.

Beba: She has beautiful curly hair!

Luke Fernandez: My 12 points go to... !

Lisa O'Brien: The photo with her natural hair curls is from a long time ago. Of course she looks totally different!

Bebe Veritas: I have very curly hair and I usually wear it natural. I’m Caucasian. Keratin treatments in the long run ruin your hair if not done exactly correctly. I know. No way her hair was that long naturally when pictures taken just prior to that pic showed much shorter hair. Hair grows about 1/2” or so a month. Still, fake hair, natural hair, extensions, hidden hair whatever, her hair always looks nice. I dare her to wear it natural a few times, it looks beautiful. I have a friend with tight curls like m’s, and she wears hers natural off and on. She’s Caucasian.

Felix Gregorio: What Really puzzles me is to hear Megan as well as many other black celebrities saying how proud they are of their Afro origins, BUT they insist to straighten their hair to look more like whites! You can kneel as many times as you like, say how much your life matters until your tongue gets numb, if your deeds don't reflect that, you'll always feel you're inferior. I wonder how proud these people really are!!!

나니: Lol @1:03. It’s not “a fresh wash—and go around the palace.” It’s called a “wash and go.” It’s a type of hairstyle in the natural hair community where you’re supposed to just “wash your hair and go.” But we all know that’s simply not the case lol.

Anna Harrison: I think black females are beautiful, their hair is simply gorgeous!!! I’d give an arm for such stunning and unique hair x

Kat Nun: People’s hair texture are different. I have curly hair when I wash it and when I bush it my curls are gone, kind of sleek. She should wear her hair the way she wants it, it is nobody’s business.

DÈVE: Keratin ruins your curls. A lot of flat ironing goes into having the treatment. She clearly hates her natural curls/hair.

M: I would love to have curly hair.

MsKK909: Wait!! What!!?? You mean she’s not authentic? I’m shocked and appalled!

nikki k: People need to educate themselves about black and biracial peoples hair. It's still natural. We don't all wear weave. It can be straightened. My god

Unknown Words31: I love her natural hair!!! She shouldn’t get it straightened.

Zuleika: Outside beauty is just to fool people, only some can wear the inside beauty out.

Kangaroo Kids: She looks like an entirely different person with curly hair. Oops.

Millie Weigg: Well, If the hair is in her head she has the right to choose How she wants to use It Doesn't matter to anyone else!!!

Betty Badda Bing: It’s beauty on the inside that matters, Keratin can’t fix that

Jenny Randall: Yes, everyone can grow their hair by about inches within 3 months. Of course they can. These reporters honestly think the general public will believe everything they say. Someone ought to fill them in......they sound ridiculous.

OA: This video is weird only because Meghan didn't wear her natural hair even when she was acting. So her hairstyles don't look any differently than what she was adorning prior to marring to Prince Harry.

Good Karma: I love this video. Meghan should wear her hair natural and be proud of it :-)

A Butterfly: She says she’s proud to be biracial but does everything she can to erase the fact that she is. Straightens her hair not just keratin treatments I know I have keratin and it doesn’t pull black curly hair out and replace it with poker straight. She’s had at least 2 nose jobs and other plastics done too, she does not want to look black she identifies even on paperwork as white.

Jhael Obrien: I want to see her natural hair

lkreyche: She was really proud of it? How so? She totally changed it

pink moscato: she is anything but a style icon

Salma Kamala: Who thinks she's beautiful needs an ophthalmologist visit !!!!

wan car: BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you!

may sanday: I love the curly hair of megan. so frizzy.

Cat 91: she had 4c hair? She certainly did in her childhood pictures so I’ve always thought it was lace wigs and extensions she wore, nothing wrong with that we all like to change our look with perms and dye etc but don’t pretend any of that hair is real or down to keratin treatments, that’s just misleading people. It’s probably really short under the wig cap and the extensions can be clearly seen in the early “messy bun” styles she just scrunched up herself.

Moti: fashion has changed, some decades ago literally everyone wanted to wear curls.

P.R John: Beauty comes from within.. She's an evil human being

Just checking chicken: Harry’s wife wears wigs , if you want to see beautiful hair go see Katherine her hair is wonderful and shiny and she is a classy lady

akaneiluj: Wow. I didn’t know that wasn’t the real texture of her hair. But still if she likes it like that, is her decision to use it as she likes it

Janet Lee: Keratin is not the same as a relaxer. She uses keratin which is different. Relaxers change the bonds of your hair permanently while keratin fades away after months and you are back to natural. Relaxer has to grow out or cut off the parts that are chemically altered. She is entitled to use any product in her hair. Has nothing to do with her views on race or anything else. Lots of women use keratin or relaxers-black, mixed or white. What counts is her character....which is questionable!!!

Mrs Harpold🍁 ✨: Her hair is pretty natural

Emi: I'm biracial and while I am not a fan of Megan Markles She can wear her hair how she likes. Just because you straighten your hair does not mean she is giving up her blackness

Pepper MD: Her wigs and extensions are very nice too.

S Hunter-Moore: Uhmm...pretty sure most times it's a wig. Yup, completely authentic.

Carla Ibrahim: I loved Meghan's naturaly curly hair as a teen. She looked sensational It's her choice - like millions of other white and Black women who straighten their curly locks!

Angie Coers: She does not embrace her black heritage. She wrote on an application she's Caucasian, enough said.

Moi S: I am mixed it looks like her natural hair. When I want it straighten curl and blowave that's it. Does not necessarily need a chemicals. Just a good hairdresser.

M R: That keratin treatment is a tough treatment on here that's formaldehyde. Katherine has natural beautiful hair. Looks like daughter Charlotte is going to have gorgeous here to.

Susan Hornsby: I'm white and I absolutely LOVE black hairstyles on black women. It's very special. I especially love short afros, and they look good on just about anyone.

MDM: I agree. Live them. Show off while you are still young and beautiful as well as to show off your heritage...

Skye McAnally: She's had plastic surgery, bleaches her skin to make it lighter, and straightens her hair. Yet she complains in front of the entire world, that "someone" in the Royal Family complained that the baby might be dark.

Kellee Long: She acts like she was imprisoned in the royal family for years

Starr Smith: So pretty

Lindsay Knowles: Black hair is so versatile. We can wear it in its natural state one day and the very next day straighen it and then braid it and also wear extensions. Before I opted for a pixie cut, I wore my hair in its natural state and sometimes I got a silk press which straightened it and that lasted for quite a while. I think a woman - whatever race, background or culture - can do whatever she wants with her hair.

Candy Ginnis: You won’t be seeing Megain supposing her natural hair anywhere, let alone in any palaces as she left the UK remember.. she couldn’t handle being a British Royal but wants to pretend she Royal in Jollywood !! ‍♀️

Lake Girl: I was doing pretty well with selecting “not interested “ on MM videos and this popped up.

Michelle Hart: Keratin treatments are wonderful ‼️I am no fan of Megan in every other way but she’s no dummy when it comes to her hair.

Brula Geylan: It is easy to learn the way we have different look do what you like you feel better and you have confidence

Diana Connors: I love her curls.

Elizabeth Ann ferrario: meghans hair is not natural its extensions ,

Ms Maddie: It would be nice to see her in her natural curly hair but the style she has now suits her well and it’s kind of her trade mark. But it would be nice to see something different

Greta Kaim: Does it really care !! The important thing is hair is hair. I don't care what color my hair is in the morning as long as my hair does not fall out . The important thing is as long as I'm !!

bonnie: i hope she wears her hair curly even just once i think she looks pretty either way

Vicky AC: Let's leave her alone!

Cheryl Ann Sammy: I love to flat iron my hair like most women

Shireen Mahomed: It was said in an article Harry has not seen Markle only after her hair is down she has the door locked til her hair stylist is done

Nimfa Sitaca: Her business just as our own hair is ours.

Linda West: We’ve never seen MM real hair. All wigs and extensions

Teresa Casper Ferm: Markle the man

AsiaBlackGrl: She straightens her naturally curly hair. Biracial and black people have curly or coily hair.

Katerina: i saw the video "Get it straight, Meghan Markle and Aubrey Loots" . At 0.04 sec. you can see how meghans body is. 100 per cent manly!

Prissy Hayes: Of course she had extensions! Nobody’s hair grows that fast!

A Butterfly: Ya so her hair grew 12 inches over night, give me a break!! Keratin treatments don’t straighten your hair I can speak to that personally!!

louise lloyd: She's no duchess

JJ: Like everyone else, she wears her hair the way she prefers. Taking care of curly hair is not easy and keeping it straight may be easier in the day-to-day. May grandmother wore her beautiful long hair until her death, and she never impressed us as trying to hold on to her youth.

Kuk Luv: Really! of course she is wearing hair extensions you fool

Margaret McHugh: Hang on - she has worn her hair straight for years. Long before she met Harry. And she’s two years out of the family. Still no curls. So much for honouring her black heritage.

Pampskoen: She is ashamed of her heritage. Curly hair is so beautiful. But watch this space eventually her hair will fall out from all the straightening

bsl103158: for heaven's sake, morgzy has gotten more cover and excuses and outlandish statements made on her behalf than anybody i have ever seen

Norma Southwood: She looks like Jodie Arias.

Sarah Hayse-Gregson: The only hair style I wish she would stop are those two tendrals either side of her head. Her wedding hair style looked so messy, like she got out of bed and just tied it up. She is continually touching her hair and pushing it back, very distracting when you are on official duty or being interviewed. Makes you look like you aren’t concentrating but more concerned by your appearance.

Realistic Realist: Sorry to inform you ... but being less present on tv or movies as a minority is absolutely normal. It's like I would complain that white ppl are not represented enough everywhere in Central Africa or in an Asian country. If I am the minority in a country I have to accept that there are not EVERYWHERE ppl that look like me and just shut up! And I was born and raised in Central Asia. As if there haven't been a lot of shows and series with African Americans. I remember that even in Germany there were shows like "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" or "Family Matters"

E H: Funny how she now boasts her biracial heritage (her wedding ceremony to Harry) but as she began her career in acting she claimed she was Caucasian/white. As for her hair, if she is so proud to now be known as black now, why doesn’t she leave her hair to be naturally curly. Nicole Kidman had the same very curly hair but ginger. When she started to make it big in Hollywood/married Tom Cruise, she started straightening her hair. She said in a recent interview she wishes she hadn’t now as even when she leaves her hair to dry naturally, she’s lost all her lovely curls. All the straightening has ruined it she went on to say.

Lily A: This video made me laugh. She has desperately tried to Anglicize her look since at least her late teens. She will never let anyone see her ‘natural hair’ except maybe poor Harry who has to wake up to that face

Life is great: She had an afro growing up so she must be doing something to it...but she doesnt really want to look black...thats why her whole I'm black routine is a joke...look at her choice of men...

Enjoli Moliere: Let me you all right there, you do not tell a black woman how she can wear her hair, you do not touch it without permission, you do not ask her if she has extensions. You wouldn't even do this story if you knew the history.

person 1: Totally her choice. What's next her menstrual products? Pads or tampons? Ridiculous.

Flowers Flowers: Both she & Harry were out at an outing & when a little boy who was in his father's arms went to touch her hair...harry couldn't remove the boys hand fast enough.

Mary Leung: Meganuts is not a style icon .....so stop the BS .... u site sure like to make it better than what it is ...i call u on it ....markles hair has been so stylized ....her genuine real hair style was shown in pictures when she was a teen ... and there is no comparison from then and now
