How To Make A Wig Look Like A Silk Press! Beginner-Friendly Wig Install 2022 Ft Wavymy Hair

Hi guys, i'm going to be showing you how to easily install a lace unit in your hair. This unit is from wavymai they're kind enough to send me this straight bob beautiful wig, and i think the packaging is so pretty. They put a few little extra surprises here and there, which is appreciated so first off we have our wig, of course. Next inside the box, you see this very pretty tropical headband and they also gave us a face: mask y'all a whole face mask. We know that's a necessity out here, but i thought it was really really pretty, as you can see over here, i'm like okay, so they have their card and their thank you card. Of course, there was also two sets of wig caps, so in total four-way caps, which is really really helpful, and this comb thing i didn't know what it was, but it was a mystery i was willing to solve, but now i'm gon na go ahead and tell You guys about the wig. It is a 108 density 12 inch straight bob wig. It is a blunt cut with a 4x4 lace part i've actually never worn a 4x4 before so this is my very first time, but again, this is going to be really really easy. For you to follow along with so once you take the wig out of the packaging, the movement, the body. This was very, very full y'all. This is actually really really nice, as you guys can tell. I generally love this wig over here, i'm just showing you guys that it's not shedding at all. There are no tangles and again the movement is on point. I got this in a natural black color, so now for the lace. It is a bit lighter than my complexion, but don't worry, i can show you guys how you can fix that, and this is what the inside of the wig looks like it's very roomy and, to my surprise, there was an extra clip on top for extra security When you have the unit on so let's finally get into this, so the first thing i'm going to do is put on my wig cap, so i could kind of see how the wig looks like on me make sure i don't look too crazy if i have To pluck it make sure i pluck it, this is like a rough draft to see what i'm gon na look like once i doll it up. So do you remember the comb thing i showed you earlier. It is now time to figure out what it does. So i run it through my hair and, let's just say i understood the assignment okay y'all. So let's officially start installing this wig i'm gon na go ahead and remove it. So i could prep my actual hair, i'm bringing you guys in closer, so you guys could probably see what i'm doing so. First off you want to get all of your baby hairs away from your forehead. This is so. If you use glue with your application, it doesn't hurt your actual baby hairs, i'm just going to go ahead and apply gel all over my edges and i'm going to brush them back. So now i'm gon na go ahead and put the cap all the way in front of my hairline and then firmly push back. This is so i could get all of the baby hairs out of the way. Next, i'm gon na go in with my darker concealer. I normally use this for contouring, but i'm gon na use my brush and put that all over the cap. This is gon na help blend the wig into my hair and make it look more seamless, because the bald cap is also a lighter complexion than me. I'M gon na go ahead and do the same for the wig as well just apply that darker concealer all throughout the lace, and i use a darker color and a lighter color, because the darker colors they blend more with my skin tone. Have you ever noticed, your wig looks a bit ashy whenever you apply it, that's because the color is too light so take my word for it use a darker, color and you're going to see the difference. Now i'm going to put the wig back on to see if the color matches me well enough or if i have to add more contour and as you can see y'all it looks so so much better. Next, i'm gon na grab my wax stick. The point of me doing this is so i could get the hair out of my face and i'll be able to glue it down and also cut the lace more easily. So i'm gon na go ahead and apply the wax stick all in front of the hair and i'll comb. It back and repeat the same steps on the other side. Now i'm gon na grab my got to be freezing spray and the end part of my edge brush. I'M gon na go ahead and spray wherever i want the wig to lay at and i'll be patting down as i spray. So that's gon na be how i glue the wig down. I don't normally like to use a lot of glue and i'm only gon na have this unit in for a week anyways. Now that the glue has dried, i'm going to go ahead and see wherever i want to cut it, i'm going to grab my scissors, but again, like i told you guys, i want to get the hair out of my way. So i'm going to use my hot comb, so i could properly do it and the hair takes heat really really well, i didn't smell any burning, even though the comb was really really hot. So that's something to keep in mind whenever you're buying a unit make sure it can actually take heat in this unit can so there are two ways you can cut your lace. You could either be like me and use scissors or you can use a little razors that you buy at the beauty supply store. I prefer the razors, but i didn't have any today. So i'm going to use my scissors, you want to cut the lace as close to your hairline as possible and that if you need to do your edges, you can, but in this tutorial i'm not going to be using my edges, i'm kind of going for a More mature grown woman vibe over here so yeah i'm going to go ahead and grab some more glue and spray it on the rat tail part of my edge brush and glue it down some. So, as you guys can see, i use my wax stick in my hot comb to flatten my hair down. But if you want your hair to be a bit more voluminous, i'm going to be showing you guys a trick on how to get a little bump in front of your hair. So just part your hair like i did and then get your hot comb and roll. It inwards towards the parting, like you see over here, and that's just gon na, create an illusion that this is actually your hair with volume coming out of your scalp. So i like to do this because it looks more natural, especially if you're not going to do any edges. I definitely recommend doing this because the part of the wig was a bit small, i'm going to go in with my concealer now. This color is lighter because a lighter part always looks better, but i'm just going to go ahead and conceal the part and make it wider. Y'All do y'all see how beautiful and light this hair is. I absolutely love how natural it looks. That'S what i was going for, so this is what it looks like once you flat iron it. I didn't bump the ends or anything, but you definitely could you could freestyle this go crazy, but i really wanted something simple and, as you guys can see, it's very very thick and it has a lot of body and movement. So i really love this wig. It has very little shedding it looks natural and, as you guys seen, it didn't take any effort at all to apply.
