Hey guys, it's des welcome back to my channel and in today's video i'm going to show you guys how i revamped my old wig that was kind of looking busted just encrusted. It was really dead, but i really brought it back to live. So i was really inspired by the arrogant, say: um colored roots thingy, it's really trending on like tick, tock and instagram. So i had you guys like pick on my instagram, what color to do, and everyone chose white. This is the most selected, so i'm gon na show you guys how i was able to achieve this. Look. Let me know in the comment section down below, if you guys like this, if you guys like these type of videos, please let me know and i'll do more. I was actually really fun. Oh we're about to go to a party right now, so i'm trying to hurry up and finish this, so we can go. You guys want to see how i achieved this look. Watch the video give it a thumbs up, don't forget to subscribe, and i love you guys. Okay, you guys. So this was the wig that i was revamping. I was giving very much kristy dusty. This is the old wig. I'Ve had for a really long time. So what i decided to do was replace the closure, so the girls are getting get it the girls that don't don't, but i just thought replacing a closure with a platinum closure would make it way easier to color. So here i am basically what i did was just you know, carve out the bundle, um separate it from the closure. This was a machine. No, this was not a machine. Make like this was a factory wig, so it was kind of hard to take the closure out without cutting some of the hair. But i really just separated it as much as i could clipped it away, and then i started off with some scissors just to like nip it right there, then i thought about using an eyebrow razor just so i'm not like cutting a lot of the hair, but It just wasn't working, so i went back in with the scissors and just slowly steadily and um cut all the way around. So i can get rid of the old closure. So when you're doing this just make sure you're not cutting into the bundle or into the track um line and make sure you're really just cutting out the closure and it's pretty easy process. If you guys want more in depth of a closure replacement video, please let me know - and i would be happy to do, that i do at least two or three weeks. So this is what it looks like now: the closure's gone, so i went ahead and pinned it back on this mannequin head, and this is the platinum closure that i'll be using today. So what i went to do was make sure that it fit, and then here i am sewing it on using a curved needle and some thread. I know that part looks a little bulky, but i fixed it later, but basically what i do with my closure replacements. I don't start right at the edge i start kind of like a little bit past the edge, and then i go back to the edge. Then i do a back stitching method. That way, i know like it's really in place and it's not gon na like lift or the threads, not gon na like snap or anything so yeah. So i went ahead and i sewed the closure on to the wig, and i just did this all the way around double looping the thread to make sure that it's sturdy - and this is going to last as long as possible, and this process is pretty easy. But if you guys really want an in-depth, in-depth tutorial on just a closure replacement, which is a great way to revamp your wigs, i will actually happily do that for y'all. I might actually even do it regardless, because it's actually a great idea, great content idea, but okay yeah. This is what um. It should look like once you're done with your closure replacement um there shouldn't be any like overlapping of any sorts. If you really did measure and make sure that it fit exactly okay and here's the scary part, so i used a dark and lovely uh jet black box dye. I will put all this stuff in the description box description box down below, so don't worry, shake the bottle really well and take a deep breath and start coloring. So, honestly, when it comes to coloring people tell me they get scared of coloring, but i always say like if it looks bad, just pretend and say that's how it was meant to be, but for this instant i knew what i was doing so i started from The roots, so this is kind of the concept of a colored root, is imagine if someone got their hair like bleached and then the roots started growing in. So you kind of want it to have that, like effect, so what i did was i used my hands. Just to kind of spread out the black all over evenly, but in your head, you kind of want to make sure that where the black starts is even all throughout the entire closure, so on one side you want it to at least be somewhat. Even it might not even be as even but if you kind of get it to be the same level that would make it look way more better and then also using a comb and brushing through the hair kind of helps with that natural like gradient, like okay, It started off with this color and now it's transitioning to this color, instead of it just being that one awkward choppy line so make sure you're using a fine, toothed comb. This is a rat tail comb that comes in the says: haircut, freshman box, um, shameless plug, but yeah i get a 5 2 comb. They have this for, like a dollar the beauty supply. So it's not nothing special. It'S not nothing crazy, make sure you're also getting in between the closure once you like comb through the hair, because you don't want any like blonde poking through you kind of want it all to be the same level. So once you're like spreading the hair apart and like kind of like combing it in the direction, the hair is going to fall. When it's on your head, you can see, like you, can kind of see how it's all kind of on the same level and that's what you want to strive for, and i had to go in in some parts once i would like comb through and kind of, Like put some more and i even kind of messed up, if you guys noticed um, i got a little too color crazy and i had like this streak of black at the top, but it actually helped the hair look more natural, which i'm i'm not mad at So then, i went ahead and i washed it out, but the key factor was the shimmer light shampoo, because this is what got that blonde part to be more white and less brassy. So now it's time for the install so y'all. At this point i was kind of scared. I was um it just it wasn't given what i was supposed to gave, but i've always told myself trust the sexy fact, trust the process and um. If all this fellas put a hat on, but as we all know from what we saw in the beginning of the video, it turned out great. So what i did was basically kind of let the wig talk to me and it was. It was screaming middle part. It was saying part me in the middle, so that's what we did. We parted her in the middle, the middle part kind of just looked the best honestly, especially because it's a closure - and i didn't use the frontal because i was trying to you - know - be bougie on a budget but hey we move and the closure just made. It way more easier and the middle part with a closure is just a given like it's my go to so. At this point it was starting to look better and i was very excited and of course, i'm using my says haircut wax. Stick the best wax stick in the game, the one this wax stick honestly. First of all smells amazing. Second of all, it really does help like get your hair super super flat, especially when you do the hot comb and wax stick combo mwah something's, that's something delicious! Like it's just anyways moving on this is not a full hair. Install video, i'm gon na, say this now, because i don't want y'all in the comments saying oh you're, going too fast, like i don't understand, what's going on, if you want a full hair, install video. All you have to do is like this video and comment. Hey says: can you do a full hair, install video, and i will happily and gladly do that for you? I was probably gon na. Do it anyways, but like asking for it makes me, do it faster, but here i am making a tick tock y'all follow me on my tech. Talk ss uche um, i'm trying to be like tiktok famous or whatever i feel like. We can make it happen in 2022. and at this point it was starting to look good, so i was kind of feeling myself. You know you know, that's the part part of the video where it's just like. Okay, it's coming together. I went ahead and i cut my lace using a scissors because i didn't have my handy dandy, eyebrow razor, but with cutting your lace. If you do it in a zigzag line, it will never fail you. It will distract the natural eye from seeing a straight line and it will help your lace blend better. So i'm using my iron ion hair curler. This is a curler. I use the iron curlers for my clients as well. So this is honestly one of my favorite curlers until i find one that's better, but right now it's really working for me, it's very inexpensive, so i will link it in the description box below i got it from amazon and guys. The key to bouncy curls is honestly cutting layers like do not be scared. I know y'all be clinging on to the inches and just really wanting the inches to be inches, but i promise you cutting layers in your hair before you curl. It will change your life. Trust me trust, says so, with the curling make sure you're rotating the barrel curler, so that the heat is getting evenly and make sure you are holding your curl, because that will help it last longer and that's really the key to having bouncy. Like you know, voluminous body curls, but also the key to making sure that they last really really long. If you guys want a in-depth how-to, curry, hair video, i will do that for you guys. Just let me know i might make a part of my wig university series, which is where i basically like, show you guys everything hair related, because i do hair like every single day. It has now become my job. Don'T be scared to cut layers in your hair. You guys it really will make such a big difference and also make sure that you are curling away from your face and yeah there. You go away from your face, so it can frame your face and give you that um voluminous. Look that everyone adores, and that is it for the video i didn't do much other than curl it and let the curls fall into place. I absolutely love the way this turned out. I was giving very much 101 dalmatians, but, like the baddie version, i absolutely love it. It looks so good and the blend at the top at the roots was really really really nice. Let me know what you guys. Think of this look in the comment section down below and if you do, try it out. Send me pictures tag me. I would love love, love to see them good luck and always never be scared to try color or to try new things with your hair. It is the most fun expression of art and of yourself. I love you guys so much. Thank you for watching mwah. I waited the whole time. You had fun like five times. It'S really fun easy to achieve, but it only took her what two hours it took me a long time all right. Let'S go party, you know the vibe
