Hey everybody welcome back to tata suede closet at wig studio one today we're gon na check out a brand new gabor style for spring 2021. This one is called flatter me in the color toasted pecan gl 1823. There'S a lot of detail packed into this video. You won't want to miss coming up. Scroll down hit the help button to be connected with the live chat. Flatter me is the longest of the three new styles released by gabor for spring 2021. It'S a part of their luxury collection. Now, typically, that means you'll at least see a full lace front, probably left monofilament side part, if not a full hand tight top. This particular one does have that full hand tie top we're going to talk about that in just a moment. Flatter me is a short to mid length, shaggy layered style. It looks very modern in its appeal and it kind of has a sleek design to it as well, and it just appears to be just a feathery light texture here. So we're going to talk about this toasted pecan, though this gl1823, it was probably four or five years ago, when i first explored this color and fell in love with it. Typically, i like the blondes and, as i was kind of exploring new, colors and so forth. This just helped me really open my mind to some brunettes. So what you're going to find here is a light ash brown and then that's highlighted with an ash platinum. The highlighting is kind of a coarse blending. Here it really lightens and brightens it up, but it doesn't change the tone. It'S still a very ashy cool toned color and they do bring those highlights right up to the lace front. So let's talk about these specs for a moment, so that first piece here, this fringe layer, is about 5.75 inches kind of feathers back and away and stays out of the eyes. So when i brought this right out of the box, i gave it a nice shake. I swirled around all over at the base of the cap and shook it out really well just because i wanted to set these fibers free now. I did have to train this with my fingers just a bit in my hands to keep it out of the eyes, because when, when a wig comes right out of the box and it's not pre-styled or anything, you just got to keep it out of your eyes And it's best for the review, if i'm not constantly pushing it out of the eyes, but just know that when it came out of the box, it was fairly flat there and kind of fell down in front of the eyes. But it did not take much at all to create some lift and some feathery movement away from the face that does tend to stay there all right. So overall, it's about 12 inches from the crown down. It has little subtle, flips, typical of a nice modern shag style, cut, weighs about 3.4 ounces. It features a full temple to temple lace, front and then a completely hand-tied top. So let's talk about that. So the lace front, i think, is done very well. It runs temple to temple and it feels like it does extend back into the ear tab there and, like i said they did bring that highlight up to the root, but not in a heavy banding effect. Let me explain what my observation is here: um, hopefully on camera you're picking up on some of these little short springy hairs right there. At the lace front, it almost appears as a baby hairs. However, i feel like this is probably accidental um and i'm not sure whether we should expect that on allstate all of these styles, it appears as though they've gone through and they've used a razor to trim and they pulled it a little too tight and it kind Of spring back into these springy hairs, which can happen on synthetic fiber if you've ever pulled one too tight, they just spring back in in an elastic motion, and it leaves you with these little springy curly hairs right there at the hairline. So, let's talk about this hand tied top: it's not a traditional monofilament top it's a hand tied base, that's kind of a mesh material, so you'll find hand-tied cluster knots all throughout the top and then that's covered with a little bit of a nylon liner. So it almost looks like a two-ply event going on up there. It does give the nice illusion of scalp wherever you part it throughout the top, and it's very, very soft and supple. So if you have very little hair or if you have no hair at all this particular hand, tied top is very soft and comfortable. Let'S take a look. This is not a rooted shade, so you might see the little bit of striping up there, where the highlight goes right up to the root so you're going to see lots of layering all over. We talked about the front, there's a layer off the side. There'S a layer off the back and then you've got this crown layer and then, where the layers break kind of flips up a little bit. If you like shags, i think this would be the perfect, updated shag style and the length is beautiful. It'S just above the collar, i would say for most of you: it has a nice flirty movement as you would expect, with a heavily layered style. Each one of these fibers is very fine, but you can get just a little bit of volume here and there you're going to find some permatease around that hand-tied top throughout the crown back and at the nape. Now this to me doesn't feel too overly done. I think it's just the right amount of permatease to support the style for the long haul, so you can use your hands just to work it into whatever you like, and i think it will probably stay very nicely for you and that density is just kind of A medium density that's been taken down with these layers, so it does feel very light on the head. So what do i really like about this? I think it's very wearable. First of all, you have that 5.75 inch fringe at the front. You'Ve got a nice practical overall length just above the collar. It has some nice flirty movement and some beautiful cut features where you can just really have a good time. Styling this moving it away. Do inside. Look at the cap for gabors flatter me. There'S that lace front beautifully contoured stretching back and extending through the ear tab there. Nice fine knots, nice fine grid that moves back into a hand-tied top, so you'll notice that there's a little bit of a nylon mesh there underneath are the uh, the hand-tied knots very soft, pliable a closed velvet covered ear tab here, velcro style, adjusters, lots of wefting And lots of stretch you do have an extended felted nape here now, you'll see that i did have to cinch these in and crisscross the adjusters. This cap runs very big on me, so i would say that it's best suited for average to average large circumferences. So, as i mentioned, this is right out of the box, a few vigorous shakes a little bit of swirling at the base of the cap and some repetitive hand, movements to kind of train it away from my eyes for the review. So, let's try with glasses if you're a full-time, glasses wearer. This is a beautiful style to wear with glasses, they're very little, there's very little permatease or thickness right there at the temple and it fits securely between the ear and the ear tab. Front Porch Wig Chat: I really love Toasted Pecan, but it's been a long time since Gabor has had anything I really like. The last one I did like was Epic. Either they seem to have a lot of permatease or they just seem uninspired. It immediately looked like the newer Debutante, just shaggier. They did a terrific job doing ash on ash, without it looking like dull, lifeless over processed blonde. It's just a really nice, natural blend, so it's still at a mid level blonde. And there's not too many mid blondes around in ash tones, I've noticed. So, kudos Gabor! Now, me being on the short side of life, just eyeballing it, I'd probably take about an inch off the length in the back to bring it up to my shoulder, to create a more levelled off bobbed effect, finishing with texturised, choppy ends, which would really accentuate the overall shag cut.
