Hey everybody welcome back to tazza's wig closet at wig studio one. I thought it might be fun to take a look at a hairdo style today. This will be a part of my affordable series. This particular line does offer a lot of budget-friendly wig styles, so we're going to examine today the quartzite waves in the color r11s plus, which is glazed mocha. Now i have not taken this out of the box yet um. This is exactly how it came. There'S been a little bit of a packaging change here, we're going to unbox and apply this style coming up. I purchased this wig style with my own buns from wig studio one. If you expand the description box below this, video you'll find a link directly to this wig style. You can check out the colors the pricing, if you have any questions for us, please reach out to support at rigstudio1.com or from any product page on the site. Scroll down hit the help button to be connected with a live chat. So you see i'm sporting, my natural hair today, as sort of a minimal makeup, look something different. I wanted to get in the front of the front of the camera, but i didn't want to make too much fuss this morning, so let's get down to our featured wig style today. I need to make this a part of my affordable series, because typically hairdo creates some really cute styles, so you'll notice right away that there's been a change in the packaging. Now i don't know if this is a change just for the newer styles that are coming out or, if they're, making this change throughout that line um, but it used to be where hairdo would would present the styles uh in a cake box kind of a thing. A very thin cardboard cake box, looking uh box and it was always sufficient to protect the wig, but there's probably a good reason for the change here. So what you'll find is that same cardboard form with the wig kind of nestled inside, but then all of that is slipped inside of a plastic ziploc kind of bag. Now the plastic is fairly heavy gauge plastic. I don't think i'm gon na put my hand through it at all. It'S um. I think it's well sufficient to protect the wig style and i always travel with my wigs and these kind of bags anyway. So this might actually come in handy during the traveling times. So you can see everything is there, so let's go ahead and open it up. I have to find the break in this plastic here. Okay, so i've just unzipped it here a little bit and i'm going to pull out the insides. Okay, all right. So what fell down out of the bag was just a little nylon wig cap liner, that they would typically put in all of their shipments and the plastic bag does contain a little bit of a tag, although there are still string tags attached to the style. Let'S take a look so there's the care, instruction pamphlet and the um and the name tag attached just like you would normally find so i'm going to slip. This out looks like there's a little bit of a wig style guide at the bottom. Now do you know who else is going towards these uh these this type of packaging is the tony bratton. I don't think that that's much of a surprise, since the tony bratton line and the hairdo line are so similar, they're also made and distributed by the same manufacturer and suppliers, and so there's the courtside waves, there's still a net and some tissue paper to help the Wig hold its shape during the shipping wow. That'S a pretty color! Isn'T it this glazed mocha r11s? Plus. I have seen this before on much shorter styles. It'S absolutely gorgeous so you're you're, looking at a light to medium ash brown base, color here um, but what it is. It'S super highlighted heavily highlighted with a light gold blonde um. Now a lot of the times anytime, you see the word glazed in a color like glazed, mocha, r11s plus plus indicates the glaze. It just means there's a lot of heavy highlighting that makes it very dynamic. This would be an amazing color if you're brunette and you just want a little lighter brighter color to pick you up for the summer time. It'S not a rooted shade. So i'm just going to shake this out just a little, because when you set the fiber free from the cap, you're just going to get a better overall effect. Now, if i were returning this, i wouldn't do that. I would just inspect the rig. Wig really well set it on my head and if it's a no i'm sending it back so, let's as it is right here, let's go ahead and apply okay. So what i can tell you about hairdo styles is that they do need some work right out of the box. There'S really no designated parting space. Everything is smooshed down to the cap, so you're going to want to wake it up and make it yours, okay. So this is a mid-length wavy style, no lace, no monofilament. In fact, let's take a look at this cap just really quickly. This is your typical open cap by hairdo um, so you're going to find the open wefts on the top there's, always a nice velvet strip. There at the front of the the cap for comfort and they do a nice job of splicing in a little brush of fiber or hidden weft there at the front for a good, looking hairline, and so here's your wefting and then you have an extended open nape With velcro style adjusters, one thing you need to know about hairdo brand, and this is just something i've noticed since i've worn them is that they run large, you might put them on par with maybe the sizing for raquel, welt or gabor, but there's a lot of Stretch and these caps are also very, very roomy, so right away. I know i'm going to have to cinch in and maybe even crisscross these adjusters to get a secure fit for my circumference, which is petite petite average. So i'm going to go ahead and do that now, because the last thing i want is for this thing to be rolling around on my head, while i'm trying to review okay. So let's take a look and actually i'm going to remove the tag here. Real quick as well because um it always gets in the way when i'm trying to present the style and or style it. So i'm just going to remove the tag place it in the packaging there. Okay, so you see, i cinched that in all the way, let's see it feels pretty good now um in terms of the fit it feels pretty secure on my circumference, so that front piece is about 12 inches. Okay, it's not perfectly straight, but it is smooth off of the crown and then it starts to get a little wavy as you get a little further down, but 12 inches is going to stretch. You know maybe six inches past my chin, alright. So the first thing i want to do here is get in there with my fingers and just swirl swirl swirl swirl, all throughout the top, because if i can, if i can mobilize the fiber at the root, it's going to help it move a little bit better. I'M going to get a better, more realistic part and appearance, because it's an open cap, you can part it wherever you like, i'm a fan of just a little left of center. That seems to be my preference, but you can experiment with the different the different parting spaces. I noticed there's a bit of stringiness here now this is the heat friendly, fiber uh. All of the hairdo line is made from the true to life fiber. That sounds familiar because that's the same fiber that the raqqa welch line is made from okay. It feels like heat friendly fiber. It'S got a velvety touch to it and a lot of times when you get a wig. It seems a little bit stringy in that. It'S because they put a heavy dose of silicone on it before it leaves the factory. So when you get it there's there might just be a little greasiness, a little stringiness. So the first thing i really want to do is i'm going to actually take this off to do this piece, but i'm going to get into the root, especially on the top, where it's really compacted, i'm just going to get the root and pull it out from The cap a little bit, i'm going to do that all over but like i see, especially in the top, because i really want that movement to be as natural as it can be and if there's any potential for any lift, i want to spring those fibers away From the cap, okay, so this this little maneuver also will create just a little bit of friction and will help the that greasiness kind of dissipate that greasiness from the factory silicone will dissipate. Um and look. I find that a little bit of friction will will definitely help and if you wanted to use some dry shampoo or something you could do that so right at the top they're just kind of going against the grain waking up that fiber. Okay, it's beautiful! Isn'T it look at all those choppy waves, kind of reminiscent of like a beltress or something um as you move down the style? So if you are a fan of like the belletress algona and you want to get an affordable sister style, i think this would be a really nice choice. You'Re not gon na get the lace, but i think it would be passable for sister styles for sure. Okay, so like most hairdo styles, like i say it's pretty flat on top these uh, these have very limited permatease, these kind of styles, okay, so i just want to build in a little bit of contour. If i can now this one kind of has a stubborn forward movement that doesn't mean that it's a lost cause and it's heat friendly. So you could always use a little bit of heat from a heat styling tool to help you create and sculpt the look that you want. Okay, now, a lot of you could probably pull out some of your natural hair to assist that that front hairline, but i'm just going to further spring it up. Wigs do not intimidate me anymore. I used to get a style like this and just kind of be like no, no um, but there's just so much you can do. I had. I saw a little stringiness there. I wanted to tame that down just a little, so this style weighs right around four ounces uh, it's a fairly it's fairly light on permatease, but it is not a light density style. I would consider this to be quite a bit of hair for a hairdo style. This is actually well. No. I take that back. The wave cut was the longest one that i had had previously reviewed by hairdo and i think that might have been maybe just a little longer than this one but yeah because of that long front. You'Re really going to have to maybe work at this. Just a little bit to make it yours, you can use heat, you can style, so you can already see where it's coming around right. It'S coming around, so i think the price tag on this one is just over a hundred dollars less than 150 um. So i think this would be a cute one to have around for styling or, like i say, a sister style. I have um. I have this delgona uh 16 by belletress here in the british milk tea color and i feel, like i feel like this courtside waves would probably be a really nice sister style to this. What do you think i might uh take a little bit of heat from a hair dryer and create some contour? I think i might go. Do that and then show you the result i'll be right back, okay, i'm back! That did not take me about a couple of minutes. Just to all, i did was pull the front up and take a hair dryer and pass some heat to the root and then continue to form it in the direction that i wanted to go. They run that permatease right out to the hairline, it's very obvious because they even striped the the permatease with the highlight color and that's all very visible from the front. So now i don't think you're going to want to pull this away from the face. I i just think that was really poorly done right at the hairline, knowing that so many of us will want to have that option. I don't think it's realistic at all, and i am really fighting with the greasiness on this too much silicone too much now you can use a little bit of friction. As i said, some dry shampoo, which i would have to do, the permatease layer isn't too bad here in terms of being able to see down in, but you're still going to want to spring that fiber up and because of this heavy highlight pattern you want to Use some strategic styling to obscure the striping effect that you're going to get because they run the highlight right up to that root. Okay, so this is it beautiful style. I think they could have done that hairline just a bit better. You

TAZS WIG CLOSET AT WIGSTUDIO1: Unfortunately this style is SOLD OUT and now on backorder in ALL colors at this time. This is the case with ALL retailers as we all draw from the same pool of supplier inventory! Feel free to contact [email protected] for ETA information. XOXO TAZ

evelyn cupp: Thank you Taz for all your effort to present affordable solutions! Agreeing w/ an earlier comment concerning a lesson learned of quality over price, there are many of us aware but unable to always enjoy quality. You listened and cared enough to take action. This is only one of the reasons I appreciate you. Thank you for listening and being assertive.

Dee Roga Tory: This is beach house weekend hair! Super workable, toss some baby powder on there or a headband or scarf, or clip down the front to cover the perma tease that's exposed. I love grab and go wigs like this. To get the most out of my wigs, I convert once favorites into toppers and call them my dirty girl go-to's. This would be in that stash. I totally see wearing this in the winter time with a slouchy hat. As long as there is blonde in there, I can make it work!

Lisa E: I've been so curious about this one! I love that you took it bang, right out of the box and showed it step by step. I don't think I could make it work like you did. I struggle with deciding when a wig looks good when I'm styling it, or when to stop and say okay, it's done, it looks good. You have a good eye!

Elizabeth Pidgeon: Thanks so much for doing "open box" review! I appreciate seeing them fresh and what you do to get them the way you like them. I also like the honesty of your opinion. I had asked previously for this type of review, so thanks so much!

Jamie Norton: Sad/happy it's sold out. So tempting at that price and I don't mind playing with my wigs. I've ruined one or two, but that's OK; it's a journey! Maybe light brown eyeshadow or root coverup for the hairline. Definitely a clarifying wash to clean it up first. Thanks Taz, super interesting and I would never have seen it without your review!!!

swineinny1: Great review, Taz! The price is very tempting, but at least you made us aware what to expect with this one. It def can NOT be worn out of the box (or in this case, the plastic)! It looked so wiggy at first — and you absolutely improved it to make it wearable. Can the rest of us improve it? Idk, maybe. I can see why it sold out so quickly cuz the price is good.

D B: Hi Taz, thank you for showing how you would 'fix' a wig! Really helpful for me as I've only been wearing wigs for just over a year..so still plenty to learn! Loved the cut and colour on you, but thought it was too large. Best wishes from Scotland x

Warren Capon: I actually reckon it looked great after you played with it at the 12:45 mark, it was great to see how you brought life into the wig. I thought the using the blow drier was not ideal, it actually changed the look of it. This wig looked stunning on you Taz.

Ibelieveinangels yesido: Thanks, Taz! It's helpful to see what can ~ & can not ~ be done to make a wig wearable. As I keep looking at wigs & color options, it amazes me that even when there's a neutral brown the highlights are so brassy blonde that they make the whole color too warm. Must be a lot more warm-toned gals than cool ones! Appreciate your color analysis on the wigs you review! Blessings! Jackie in upstate NY

Coast Daze: Thx Taz, I love wig unboxings. This style is GREAT and would work well for those of us who always have bangs. But, while I'm relatively new to alternative hair, I will no longer purchase inexpensive wigs with a cap like this because, imo, they always look wiggy (and I'm pretty good working with hair). I'll take one good wig over 3 inexpensive wigs any day of the week. And these days I'm saving up for a human hair wig.

Jill Creagh: Thanks Taz. Overall it seems like quite a disappointing wig, in spite of the price. I’m wondering why the packaging is so cheap, it looks like an Amazon package, not something costing $118+. The price point needs to reflect this, plus the hairline is woeful, I would never pay $118 for something that looks like this. I think you did a great job trying to rescue it, but it’s a definite No from me.

Kathleen Beauchemin: Great honest review! I have to be honest, that light piece of wefting in front just ruins what could be an otherwise nice piece‍♀️. Thanks for the tips on getting a forward looking hair pattern to go where you want it! I am so glad you recorded this! It gives me hope with several wigs I have out on and thrown back into the box…never again to be tried on. I have a closet full of oops wigs from when I first began my wig journey ‍♀️! It was great to see you look like I do when I first try on some new wigs…and your knowledge of lifting the fibers, breaking them up, etc. has made me want to try them on again! Have a great day

Gardenia Gonzalez: I really enjoy watching your channel You have such a talent to make the most difficult and ugliest wig look good. Doesn't matter the price point

margo81172: Hi Taz! Always a blessing to see you! I really appreciate Hairdo. I will say, I liked a lot of them better when Pavis and Jessica were involved. This hair reminds me of Michelle Pfeiffer. B back there looks pretty!

WIG REVIEW CENTRAL: Great, honest review, Taz. You have more patience than I. If I pay more than $100.00 for a wig, I want it to be wear-ready. I don't want to work on it. And, I'm lazy, lol!

Linda C: Taz, you always make the wigs you try on look so beautiful I just don't think there is any hope for this one.

jayandess: I think someone with an average/large head could work on this and really enjoy it. It certainly shaped up as you played with it a bit. A lot of the longer wigs are not very 'affordable' so its nice to find one in the less expensive category. Courtside waves - ideal for sitting and watching the Wimbledon Tennis Tournament which I've been doing this afternoon (though from my sofa not courtside!).

Sharon Steele: Love your honest review. Is Hairdo it’s own individual brand or is it made by another more well known manufacturer?

Beth Summersett: I’m so appreciative for this video. I’ve been interested in Courtship Waves, but wouldn’t get her because she doesn’t have a lace front. My hair (or what’s left of it) is about the same length as yours so I can’t pull some out at the front to help with a more natural look. However, after seeing her on you, she’s a lot more natural looking than I imagined. I just received Dalgona 16 yesterday and I believe Courtyard Waves is the perfect sister wig for her. I could wear this one for more of an every day wig and save Dalgona for my leaving the house days. I’m going to contact support for info on when she’ll be back in stock. Thanks again for showing us this one. You’ve, yet again, sold me!

Rose Genesis: All the taught me is quality is key over price

Selexiak: This has the basics of being a great, affordable wig but no matter how much work done on it, that crown area cannot be changed and it somewhat lets the style down.

Karen's Kloset: This style looks like a true bedhead style very cute however I'm not very fond of that new packaging if it's for all styles from hairdo. Thank you so much for sharing the out of the Box you really brought it to life❣

Kathy Johnson-Audette: Hi Taz; I love all the wigs you have in the background. Someday, could you go through them and tell us which manufacturer and wig style name they are?

margo81172: I'm glad you showed this straight from the box bc it looked like a mess at first

One Journey: ✍ One the plastic and soft tissue packaging you should keep and add a moisture packet to store ✍ This unit will need to be framed to your face and styled by your local salon. If not you will LOOK like a DRUNK ✍Yes, just out the box wear is unlikely. This unit will look like mannequin "E" ❤️ℂ!❤️❗️

Deborah Bacate: Hi Taz, thank you for your review! In your opinion do you think the front hairline and highlight pattern would be suitable for cutting bangs in this style?

Marion Muolo: The ladies from Las Vegas say you look lovely even with natural hair!. Your make up looks fine to us!!

Jennifer Steele: You could take a costume wig - even the one that Amanda Bynes was sporting when she had to go to court because she had some sort of mental breakdown and lost her ever loving mind -and make it look beautiful!!!!! I honestly don’t think I have ever seen you wear any wig that you didn’t look stunning in! I love watching the videos you make that have styling tips and maintenance ideas!!!! Hope you have a great week my sweet friend!!!! xoxi

Susan R: You are beautiful without your wigs too. I hope you feel you dont always have to wear a wig.

Nancy Johnson: That looks so cute on you! I wish I could wear my hair in that long, but unfortunately doesn’t do anything for me every time I buy a wig I have to take it to my hairdresser and have her trim it. When she trims it she uses a razor, is that a bad thing?

Marci Lambert: Thank you for showing the back of the wig more.♥️

Michelle Diekman: You make Everything Look Good With your Skills , Beautiful Friend God Bless

Marci Lambert: Also, I have tried a technique that I saw, where you can touch up area's in the wig with a felt tip marker. You may be able to hid that area in the front that you dont like?. It worked good. Probably wouldn't do it if you're not gonna keep the wig though?? Some people even create a rooted look ? ♥️

Røbbin Le Mølk: The packaging is a deal breaker for me. What if the carrier damages it? I really don't want to pay all that money for a wig and then have to send it back, etc. The packaging is very disappointing.

Beth Johnson: Beautiful!

Sandy: Hi Taz, is there a way to know the names of your backgrounds wigs? I love "D" and would like to know what wig that is. Also, I love the t shirt you're wearing in this video:)) Thanks for these great wig reviews!

Martha Gutierrez: Thanks for your honest review! What wigs are J, P and D?

Shannon Torbert: I love this wig...do you have a video or would you do a video showing how to do a messy bun with a wig

Jackie Marsh: What a Pretty One Here Sweet Friend!! Love It!! Your Hair Looks Adorable!! I Like Hairdo Pieces, For the Price Point Their Great!! You Look Beautiful in Her!! Love the Colour!!! Thank You For This Wonderful Review!! Love and Hugs!! XOXOXO

Connect With Your Deck: I really really dislike open wefted caps where the colour doesn’t have rooting. You cannot disguise the part - you really need that root and some permatease- then the height works miracles !! It’s why the only wigs I will buy with machine wefting are Noriko

romantic horror: Cute style, way too much grease. As with every new wig, into the sink it goes. It grosses me out not knowing whose hands have been on the wig...did they wash their hands after visiting the restroom? Then I'd steam the top and get rid of the obvious flat wigginess. This is one to check out once they get more in stock. Another very informative review. I really like the affordable series!

Look Up and Marvel: Hi Taz ... honestly, no matter how you adjust this lady, she comes across as a wig. Pretty colour and style though. I also want to mention many people like highlights starting right at the roots (Rachel Welsh), but to me that also looks wiggy. Highlights are naturally caused by the sun. I always had highlights at the salon and never once did they start them at the roots. Nature just doesn't work that way. Thank you for this review

Denise Shumate: I think I would rather go with the Dalgona. I don't think I have the skills to make this one look right.

Stormy Jackson: Ooooo. What wig is D and J??? I love how you label your wigs in the background!! Thanks for the videos

Amy Rutherford-Close: Like HER. I own 2 Hairdo wigs, plus 2 ponies and extensions.

R s: Thanks for video....didn't care for wig...seeing other brands Is very useful...

Pamela Schulz: Won’t be going back to the Hairdo brand. I started with them five years ago before I knew about lace fronts and mono parts. Not realistic enough.

Kristin Hoeflin: I love the vibrant colors of C and S. Can you please tell me what they are?

Joyce Mayo: Taz, I love your channel. I have to ask you., what wig is on the D head? Hope you and your family are doing well.

Italian Traditional Catholic: Great wig for that walk with man's best friend!

Candy Chand: Just curious: What’s the name of the little, blonde wig on the right, bottom shelf labeled ‘D” ?

Bernadette Rivera: This style looks really wiggy. Compared to the other wigs you review. What is wig E ? Thanks for all you do for us that has to wear a wig.

Life by the C After Stroke: Hello, have you done a “sister” color video? Brown Sugar Sweet Cream by Belle Tress… what colors in Estetica and Henry Margu that are like the BSSC?

TERESA BUONANNO: Hi Taz, Would you be able to provide info on mannequin "M", thank you?

Paula McDonald: I am interested in the wig on mannequin head - letter B. Can you tell me about that one, please? Thank you! :-)

Sue Kuehn: What is the Brand, Style and Color of wig on Manaquin "D" on the lower Right Shelf behind you,TAZ (Blond Bob, not rooted) ??? Thanks

Michelle Davidson: What are wigs E and F on the mannequin heads? Thanks Taz!

Sexy Snowbirds: What is the wig on your F model, and is it still available?

Sandra G. McAlister: Cute style, but too much work for me. Lol. The hairline in front wasn't good at all, but you're really good

Denise Ranio: What are background wigs - J and F? Thank you.

margo81172: yeah, that color needs some work too and less grunge effect

Margaret Tassey: Thanks for the review. But I can see it is much to big for your head and would be too big for me as well.

Bob Wowk: Off subject: Did you ever get the chance to see Michael Stanley in concert?

Lo Presti: Whats the E wig in this vid.? its nice.....

Sandy Elder: Hi TAZ, can you tell me what wig F is... thanks

Anne Reade: Can you please tell me the name and colour of wig H on your shelf?

priscilla soles: Hi Taz! Could you tell me what style H is behind you?

margo81172: You kinda look like Rhea Durham Wahlberg in this hair.

margo81172: they need to fix that front tho

Melody Nolan: Taz, you have a wig later D what is the brand and name?

J LeRosa: What style is “A”?

Beth Summersett: Hi Taz. I’ve commented on your review already and I hate to be a bother, but…(lol) I thought I’d read in the comments where someone asked who “style P” is in the background and your answer. However, I made the mistake of thinking I’d remember to write it down and didn’t. I’ve read through several and I cannot find it. Would you mind terribly telling me who she is? I very much appreciate your help. From what I can see she’s perfect for me in every way and I’d love to look into her.

Nadine C: Behind you on head E and C which wigs are those.

G.L.O. Training: Can you tell me color and wig on E?

Shelly Maxwell: I'm sorry to say , but this is the FIRST wig I have see on you that looks ultra fake. I have a feeling that if you work with it (dry shampoo and more heat manipulation) YOU could make it look better--but this is not one I would want to try. That said, I SOOOOO appreciate you looking for "budget friendly" styles for us to TRY. PS: You are so gorgeous

popgems: You tried Taz, but this wig is a hot ugly mess! Very wiggy and I say that without malice because I love the WaveCut that Hairdo puts out. :-)

lil poohbear: not diggin thi sone...hair looks nesty even with the help you gave it...eh.

trish shannon: Which wig is H on your shelf
