Hi loves welcome back to my channel, so far is here and it's just time to switch things up. You know so i've been wanting to dye one of my units like a really pretty ginger, like honey brown color for a minute, so i finally decided to take one of my hair vv units and i'll leave everything down below for the unit that i have, including The original video and all of the materials that i'm using you guys, but i decided to take this unit. It was a wavy unit and i decided to go to my ginger honey brown color with this. So first thing: first, i'm going to start off by lifting the hair and by lifting i mean i'm going to bleach the hair, so i'm using my favorite um bleaching powder in not solution. What is this a developer? Um? It is the blonde bleaching powder and developer. I get it from sally beauty, it's not expensive at all, and it's literally my favorite, but this is in volume 35. So i just went ahead and mixed that off camera, and now i'm just applying it and, as you can see, this unit changes colors really really fast, like it lifts really really well, so you want to move kind of quick with this just so everything can be Kind of a nice even color, i was moving pretty slow, so mine was a little blotchy, but that's okay, we're going to put another color on top of this and it's going to fix it. But this is what the unit looks like once i have. It completely covered in all of the bleach and then i just go ahead and let this sit for about maybe 30 to 45 more minutes, and then i go ahead and wash it out. So once i wash the bleach out now, i'm going to go ahead and take these two colors by l'oreal. This is light golden brown and ash blonde. I just go ahead and mix those two together and then i'm just going to apply it all over the unit making sure it's saturated from roots to ends. So after letting the dye sit in the hair for about 30 minutes, i went ahead and washed it out and now i'm going to deep condition it because i did so much to the unit. I don't want the hair to be all like brittle and break off. So i'm taking my lovely bees, oh honey, moisture, mash! You just want to use something. That'S super moisturizing, not just for your real hair, like your wigs need. This too, you guys, like a lot of people, don't know that you have to take care of your units like this, especially if you want them to last. So you do want to use something: that's really moisturizing. So once i have the unit covered in deep conditioner, i'm going to take this thermal wig pouch and it's basically like a steamer for your units. Just like you would steam your hair if you put in a deep conditioner or anything like that, that's basically what this does for your units and it makes it super duper soft. So all you do is put the deep conditioner on your hair and then you put the unit inside of a ziploc bag or like a shower cap. Then you place it inside of the pouch, pull it closed and then you cut it on and let it sit for about maybe 20 minutes and then, when you pull it off, it makes your hair so soft, you guys. So this is perfect for when you're coloring units - or if you have like a lot of blind units, you know they tend to be like really brittle. This will bring them back to life. So, after about 20 minutes, i went ahead and took the unit out of the pouch, and you guys it was so soft. You do want to be careful, though, because this does get pretty hot and you don't want to burn yourself on the wig or on whatever plastic you use to contain it um, because the ziploc bag was really really hot uh. When i took it out of the pouch, but i think i also had it on high, but this is what the unit looks like. I went ahead and rinsed the deep conditioner out and then i let it air dry just because i wanted to see if the hair still had some wave to it and it definitely still had a nice little wave to it, especially for me bleaching. It like that and then coloring it on top of that and then i'll just show you guys what the unit looks like on and styled. I went ahead and added a few little body waves to it using a um kind of a medium-sized wand, and this is what it looks like in daylight outside and then i also show you guys what the color looks like inside of the house so yeah. Is the ash to cancel out the brassy, orangey tones? I've always been told not to use ash on my hair because I have a lot of natural gold tones in my hair... and that the ash might turn it green. Because half of my hair is almost black and the other half is a light brown.
