Hello loves, today I am going to be showing you how to remove permanent hair dye at home without bleach and without damaging your hair. Using just a few products you can remove almost any hair color and bring it back to the original color it was! All I used was dandruff shampoo, baking soda, dish soap and 20 volume developer.

Hey guys, what's up how you doin hope, you have a good day run a bit of a different background Here I am in my bathroom because we're going to be doing some hair stuff. This is gon na, be a two-part video in the first part and we'll be showing you how to remove permanent dye from your hair without bleach and then in part 2. I'M going to attempt to do some kind of pink e ombre ish color in my hair, see how that goes. I have resisted so strongly doing my hair in quarantine and I feel, like everyone, has done something to their hair during quarantine, and I have just been like I'm not doing it. I can wait. I can wait and now that things are actually starting to kind of open up in Ontario, I'm gon na. Do it myself. So the wait lists are long, so I literally have no clue when I will ever be able to get my hair done in the next month, so figured I'll. Do it myself and then, whatever mess I make my hairdresser can fix. I have like this left over faded ugly purple thing going on. It was like super cute, like here's, some pictures lovely. We love gorgeous um, not so much anymore, and I was thinking about maybe just dying straight on top of that, but I tried and it just kind of made it like more it just kind of like brought back the purple rather than make it totally pink. So I wanted to remove the color without using bleach, because I do not trust myself whatsoever with bleach good for you if you have tried that at home, but I just not gon na do it. So I want to show you guys how I make a hair color remover that works on permanent dye as well with bleach. So, therefore, probably lessening a lot of the damage that bleach, you can do a lot of these ingredients you might have at home. I hope I only have to go out and buy one thing. So what you're gon na need is a cleansing shampoo. This one is just headed shoulders. Dandruff shampoo, dandruff shampoo, is really good super cleansing and it really bad if you have hair color because it strips the hair, color you're also gon na need some dish. Soap, I'm using dawn because Dawn is powerful. As you know, the duck will vouch for that. Next, you need some baking soda, self-explanatory and you're going to need some, I'm using 20 volume button. Pretty sure you can also use 10 volume and it will work pretty well with this, but I only have 20. So that's what we're gon na use - and I felt this a Shoppers Drug Mart. You can get in big bottles at like Sally's, a bunch of different hair places. I just have a smaller bottle. That'S all! I need you're pretty much gon na, do equal parts of everything and then put it on your hair and leave it there for like half an hour. Let'S see what we're working with so fun a story I went swimming yesterday and then I went to bed with my hair wet still from the pool, which is just never a good idea. So it's just kind of like this curly thing going on. I desperately need to wash it like shedding as we speak. This is the purple that's left over underneath here is like bleached blonde, so I'm hoping we can get back to that, because then that will be a lot easier to do the pink that I want. Alright, let's give this a shot, why don't we? It should probably use a bowl, but I have a cup here: don't work first, I laugh at the dandruff shampoo and just I don't know how much mmm I feel like a lot. Cuz you're really gon na saturate. Your hair, okay, so that much dandruff shampoo next I'm gon na put the lightener in and just equal parts of everything. Okay, I don't think I actually think I need way way way way too much, yep, definitely baking soda, finally dish. So I made way too much beautiful. Now we mix it all together. I am gon na ruin the spooly doing this, because I don't have anything else make sure you mix it like really good. Ok, she's pretty liquidy, so I'm gon na go with my hand and just kind of mix it. Oh okay. I mean she's dripping and she's mixed. We love making messes, you couldn't section your hair off and do this probably, should you probably should use gloves as well? You want to make sure that, like you really really really saturate it, I mean I like section my hair off just because all skinny heart is super tingly. You really really really really really really really want me sure you're getting every single strand, saturated beautiful. Oh god, that's all over me. My hair is like a legit mess, it's impossible without conditioner to define it up holy crap. My guys got this all over me. I can like already see it working here. That'S crazy! I'M trying to go through and make sure that I got every single strand my hair is so wet tangling like you, can already see it lightening, but I'm just gon na brush through it just to make sure that every single strand, oh my god, this hurts - is Saturated, like I mentioned in the beginning, this well lighten your hair. If you don't have like hair, that's been already lightened underneath, so it's not like it's magically gon na make me have blond hair because it's it. I'Ve put it like here and it's doing nothing to my roots. Obviously it removes any hair dye that you have even permanent hair dye. So if you like to change your hair color up a lot and you don't want to bleach it in between every single time - oh my god, this it's gon na, kill me if it's hard for you to kind of die on top of that color, then this Is something that you can definitely do? That was a freaking process, I'm just gon na put a little bit more in everywhere, so that I know there's no purple left. I feel disgusting gross, but I'm gon na. Let this sit for like five minutes and then I'm gon na wash it out and see what we're dealing with looks kind of green right now. So we shall see. Oh okay, so I just rinsed all of that crap a noodle out of my hair. If I were planning on keeping it like a balayage blind, then I would definitely use some kind of toner but or even like purple shampoo, but because my hair was purple. Purple shampoo wouldn't have me much sense to get the color out and I'm not planning on keepin a blonde. She looking a little green, but I'm gon na. Let it dry and style it and I'll be right back hello, just blow it all right at my hair. That'S why it's open all crazy, but this is what we are left with. I didn't even realized how light blonde and it is at the bottom, so I'm really excited to see how this takes to the pink, because I think I can do a fairly light pink and I'm excited, unfortunately, um. Actually, I'm going on a date with my boyfriend tonight, so we're gon na have this blondie green hair for another day. Ah that worked super. Well, I'm gon na curl it and see if it kind of looks semi acceptable but yeah like here's nice and then it's just kind of here. It'S greenie, okay. I think I've done all my semi-decent job styling. I got lazy and don't want to do this half so this is the look. I do not see an ounce of purple left in here. This was very effective. I'M very happy about that. Not a huge fan of the blonde, but I mean it's nice for a change, but I am very excited to be dyeing this pink so make sure you watch part two. This was part 1: how to remove permanent dye from your hair without bleach and minimal damage. I recommend, if you're, going to do this to do a deep conditioning treatment afterwards, because, although it's not damaging your hair, it's not like break off where it cooked with bleach. If you're not experienced using bleach, it's definitely drying. So a nice deep conditioning treatment and you should be good thanks guys so much for watching, and I will see you the next time. Bye

hairdressertothestars: I'm a hairstylist stylist and for future reference don't ever use a brush to comb color through, it's suuuuuper damaging, if you need to work it through your hands are preferable, but if you have to comb it, use a wider tooth carbon comb, starting from the ends and gently work your way up ♡

Brooke Jade: Tried this and it worked great. Thank you so much xoxo

Danielle Galindo: I just have to say THIS WORKED FOR ME. Thanks for posting this.

Khaila Zherine: Baking soda/dawn soap was super damaging and drying for my hair. I saw a bunch of videos saying it wouldn't dry it out or that I just need to deep condition, but it honestly was not worth the process. I've been deep conditioning for ~3 weeks now and it's nowhere near how it was when I had the dye in. It ended up uneven and dry. This may work for some folks, just be careful unlike I was :' )

スケルʕ·ᴥ·ʔ: I dyed my hair a dark red/purple color like that (and hated it) and I am LEGIT doing this process to myself rn!! Amen sis

Beth: Girl, watching you drag that brush through that shampooed hair physically hurt my soul

Jorge Cristobal: Amazing results. My hair was pastel lilac . I used this method and the color just stripped off !! Thank you for sharing !!!

Jan Knuteson: Mix was the answer to my prayers. I have delicate blonde hair that didn't have much color but it was bad box perm color. I used your mix, left it on for 30 mins with no damage at all to my hair and with wonderful results in one app. Thank you so much.

Genshin simp: For those who are confused why thery were parts that were greenish. It's because her hair was blond under the purple and we all know that purple is made out of blue. She didn't apply the mixture very well at the back of her hair so some of the dye stayed.

Hailes M: Petition for Brad Mondo to review this!!!

Barbie German: Am sooooo gonna try this method. I used a color remover before and my hair smelled like perm solution for a week. Never again!! Thanks so much !!

Jasmine: I love how genuine you are haha. Excited to try this to remove some lingering plum color that just won’t leave me be.

Hayley Hearsum: You’re such a mood! I’m going to try this, love it!

Natalie Casper: I have that same color in my hair rn and I ended up not liking it as much as I thought I would so I'm going to try this out soon!

Roberta Rizzo: Did you feel any change in your hair after that? Like, do you feel like it ruined your hair or it feels the same? I m kinda scared of using developer on my already bleached hair since it s so delicate

damaris rodriguez: Love how you showed everything

megan dixey: Need to try this as my dye did not come out like the box and I hate it so much x Edit: So I tried it, my roots were still light purple/pink and the rest of my hair was like a reddish brown. I dyed over it with a dark brown/black and now my scalp hates me and is super sensitive.

M.iiiaa A: Can you get this on your natural hair without this mixture lightening it?

Angie Morin: How long did you leave it in hair before washing it out?

Sydney Arhangelsky: Will this affect my natural roots? Or only the precolored parts?

Jade Elise: this method faded my hair from Medium solid purple to a very light grey! love this method! (: ( please use olaplex bonding oil & leave in conditioner for a few weeks after this method! it’s very drying!)

Kyleigh Kirk: Would i be able to add coconut oil to the mixture or put in my hair beforehand, or just wait until after the treatment to put it in my hair?

Lisa: Can you do this without the dish soap?

Marigold Maidens: I've done this before, but I'm not sure how healthy or damaging it is ‍♀️

cherry: so can you put semi permanent dye over this without bleaching or is bleaching better

Abigail Logan: This vid is a lifesaver! I had pink hair in quarantine and then bleach back to blonde, and today I dyed it pink again but it’s ginger! And I hate it hahahaa

Bean rean: Thanks for the video I’m gonna try taking my hair color out soon lol

amy mattaliano: @RachelBrennan do you know if using a clarifying shampoo would work in the place of a dandruff shampoo? I have no objection to dandruff shampoo, especially in the winter when we can all use a little extra conditioning and scalp relief from colder temps. I'm just wondering if a clarifying shampoo will work the same way. Thank you so much for this video. I was looking for something exactly like this.

irushka: Girl you saved my day

Emma Churcher: Thank you I got a bad dye job needed it out

Rachel Arthur: Will it work on hair that has more than one layer of hair dye in it

Christine Vincent: Will this lift a purplish color from brown hair that has a semi permanent color sitting on it? Was never bleached before

Mystic Lunacorn: I hope you’re hair is ok! I got concerned when you used the brush...I won’t lie.

Kari Chadd: I died my hair 4 months ago with a red permanent dye, and then I redyed it a month ago. I put the dye on my natural hair and it had never been bleached. Would this work on my hair?

Brittany Elizabeth: Fun fact, ketchup takes the greenish color out. I've done it.

Lous Channel: so i’m trying this rn , ima see how well it works and what it would look like with a bleach bath too, it’s in my hair rn edit : didn’t work

Chi Chi: Can I skip the dish washing soap part?

Caydi Villarreal: How long did you leave it in?

Lo: So excited I found this video I have dark brown hair and my natural is light brown and so glad I can save $$ and not have a colorist strip my hair color lol (trying to go blonde in a few months)

youparejo: I tried with your methods but it's instead of using a developper, I used an activator. It worked well, I still have Green ish and blueish tones but the purple went and I got my bleached blond back. I'm gonna do it again

Nicole Clark: In case anyone is wondering I do know for a fact that the Purple shampoo to remove Pink and Purple hair dyes did work when I used it. But it didn't really work when my friend tried to remove the dark red dye from her hair. It took a little of the red out but just enough to turn it orange.

Kirsten Giachino: I had to subscribe cuz I just love your personality girl ❤️

Izzy Gunning: is there a substitute for baking soda

Kmrc: What if you never bleached you hair and dyed it blue permanent hair on top of brown will it work?

Stevie-Lee: Would this work on naturally dirty blonde hair permanently dyed black ? ( never bleached before )

Franz. T: Can i use this metod to remove my permanent henna? Thank you

Taylor Kranz: Is there anything I could use beside developer?

Jasmine Barajas: I can’t wait to try this I went permanent purple and it want it OUT hahaha.

Blondi A: Pleeeeease brush from the ends to the top!!! That Sound is Pain in my hairstylist ear

Taylor Hanson: Girl I was cringing with you at the brushing part

Emma: I’m watching this with vitamin c tablets crushed with head and shoulders and a carrier bag on my head used 2 box’s of colour b4 and it did nothing....fingers crossed

Dária Zúriková: Would this also work if my natural hair color is brown and I dyed it to dark purple?

Alexstty: It bleached my roots but it’s all good just be careful when doing this lmaoo.

Montanna Ailey: Please tell me how much to put in the bowl as I don’t wanna get to much or to little and can u use any dish soap?

America Aguilar: Does this work with dark blue hair dye?

CurlyChaos: Would this method work on strawberry blond hair that has been dyed a deep reddish purple?

Alyssa Reinman: do you think this will work for permanent dark brown? i’m gonna try but i can’t do anything because this dark brown is not doing anywherreee‍♀️

Shannon Gilmour: Can i use shampoo plus conditioner head and shoulders? And can i use different dish soap? And have you heard about the vitamin C?

Olivia Hoult: My hair was bleach blonde for 11 years then I box dyed it brown about 4 times but it kept coming back ginger / warm brown, I then highlighted it myself an just ended up dying it permanent ‘burgundy’ but it’s come out purple lol. I will be trying this an I’ll update everyone because in these comments no one replies lol

Hannah Bernadette: “Things are starting to open back up in Ontario” Me, also an Ontario resident currently in our third lockdown:

Nida Ali: what type of permanent dye did u use for ur purple hair? box dye?

Beauty Beatdown: Let me ask you what is the dish soap for?

Brittney Newsom: Is this very damaging? I died my hair purple with Arctic fox and HATE it... I had professionally bleached hair before it... just needing this out and wanna keep my hair in the best condition possible

Courtney Womick: Can you do this without dish soap?

Jaci Calderon: Yes!!! It worked on my pink, but my purple turned blue and my blue turned green. Think I can do it again??? How soon after the last? My pink is blonde tho!! Thank you thank you!!!
