Hey guys welcome or welcome back to my channel, it is diamond forever here and today, i'm coming at you guys with a video. That'S just a little bit different from what i usually give you. Today'S video is a install and hair review. I bought this wig from icy hair. I bought it with my own money. This is not a sponsored video. I got it straight from the icy hair amazon store and it was a pretty affordable, wig, i'm not quite sure, on the exact price, but i definitely will have it linked in the description box of the exact wig, i got it's a 13x4 frontal with um 20 Inch body wave, hair and 150 density, and you guys this is my very very first time installing a wig start to finish now, don't get me wrong like if i go, i buy a wig and then i have the stylist install it. For me, i have reinstalled a wig. I'Ve never done a ball cap method. I'Ve never bleached knots, i've never plugged. I'Ve never done any of that. So this is my first time installing a wig start to finish. No help no nothing, except for my girls on youtube and tick tock. That'S the only help i got, and i definitely do think i'll be doing this again, but you guys don't get me wrong. This process did not come without little trips on the way. I definitely stumbled along the way. I definitely you know it wasn't perfect. I made some mistakes and i was completely honest and showed you guys my mistakes and talked about it and talked about how i tried to fix it. The best that i could because, as my mama always said, i ain't no beautician and if you're interested on taking that journey with me, go ahead and continue watching. But before we do that. Go ahead and like comment, subscribe and leave in the comment section below and let me know your favorite hair company, whether it be amazon, aliexpress or just period. Thank you guys for watching and i hope you enjoy okay y'all. So not only do i look crazy. I'M also pretty nervous, i'm not gon na lie. This is my first time applying a lace wig installing it myself from start to finish. Okay, so here is the wig. This is a 20 inch body wave wig, and this is from icy hair. I actually bought it off of their amazon store. This is how the lace looks just kind of right out the back. Now i did notice there are you guys can definitely see, there's like really short hairs, just kind of sticking off at the top. I don't know if those are supposed to be meant for baby hairs, i'm not quite sure um but yeah i mean i would assume they're gon na get like plucked off and then, if not plucked off, they will get turned into baby hairs but anyway, but i Don'T know if that was the intention there, so i mean that is something and they're like right in the front it's giving alfalfa almost like. So i'm definitely going to try to um fix that whenever i'm going in and doing the hair. Only thing i'm upset about with myself is i've got the 20 inch and i don't know why i got the 20 inch, i'm usually a 22 girl. I don't know why i got the 20 inch. I think it's because i kind of wanted a shorter little bombshell super sexy curl. I think that's what i was going for, but i kind of wish i would have got the 22 inch honestly and i am going to come at you guys with the show you guys the process um. I did get body wave hair just because i like to i don't really like straight hair. I always curl my wigs anyway and body wave hair, if you guys didn't know, holds a better curl than straight hair does so that's why i always purchase body wave when i buy wigs, i'm just not a straight girl and then for whatever reason, if one day Out of the ordinary, i want to wear my hair straight. I can just straighten the body wave like so i feel like body wave is the way to go when purchasing, but that's just my opinion, you can do what you want to do. This thing i'm going to do is work on bleaching. My knots and i am doing that because i'm going to let them not sit while i do a little bit rest of the other hair just doing that for time purposes. You know to maximize my productivity for bleaching. I am going to do the clear all basic white bleach and then i have the clairol pure white 20 volume developer. Now i have 20. y'all before y'all say it. I know 20 is low, but they didn't have 30. They had 10 20 no 30 at the beauty supply and then they had 40 and 50.. Now i knew i don't know what i'm doing so. I didn't want to get the 40 or 50., and so i would just rather use the 20 and wait and be patient, then use the 40 or 50 and just mess some stuff up like really messed my life up, so i decided to go slower and i'm Just going to mix this up um, this isn't like a bleaching knots tutorial because i'm not qualified. So i'm not really going to show you guys exactly how i'm you know the proportions i'm doing, because i'm just kind of winging it myself, but i will show you guys the process of me like putting the bleach on and everything. Okay. Now here is the wig with the knots in the process of being bleached y'all. I did have on gloves now. I took them off because they was like too big and they was just get in my way so yeah. But this is how it's looking um. I don't know i'm nervous, i feel like everything else is kind of like you know. Oh, i can do that, but i was nervous about the bleaching of knots. So now we have that i'm watching the time seeing how long it's been and i'm gon na really try to make sure i'd, rather than be under bleached nah. I rather than be over bleached and under bleached honestly, because i do know a little tricky trick to fix over bleach knots because a hairstylist over bleach, my knots one time and i found out until i washed the wig and reinstalled it. And i was like what is this, so i had to fix that, but if that does happen, i do know what to do so. I'M going to move on in the hair process. So next is my little ball cap method. When i was reinstalling my wigs, i never used the ball cap method, always just kind of plop, the wig on my head, but i'm trying to be official this time around. So i'm using the ball pad method, now pull the wig cap real low, because that's how the girls on tick-tock be doing it. I'M going to go ahead, cut my ears out and i'm just using my got to be glue spray and i'm just going to follow. My hairline okay, so i am back and this is how the ball cap is looking so far. I feel like it's really like unsymmetrical, but okay, let's talk so to be completely transparent with you guys, but i told y'all. This is my first time we're gon na make mistakes together throughout this i sprayed it way too low. When i first cut off all the cap that wasn't sprayed, it was down here to my eyebrows and i'm like okay. So it's time to do some adjustments and y'all probably knew i was spraying too much like spraying too low y'all probably was screaming at me through the screen, but i'm sorry i hear y'all, so i did it and i tried to fix it as much as i Could i feel like it doesn't look bad? The only thing that's worrying me is like this side is like seems to be higher than this side, but at the same time it's following my hairline. So maybe i'm the problem. Maybe my hairline is the problem in this situation. Then i'm going to go in with my maybelline fit me foundation in the shade. 365. nutmeg. Okay! Oh my it's getting bald it's getting bold! Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh and y'all don't mind all this extra spray. I'M gon na fix that in a second but oh, my gosh, it's getting involved all right. So that's what we working with very flattering. I tell you very flattering here: we have the wig and i want y'all to see. I think i did a good job here. Is the wig after i bleach the knots um it's hard to really show you guys, i'm not sure if i said this before, but this is not sponsored content. So all opinions are my honest opinion and i just want to be transparent with you guys. This is how much shedding i got after bleaching, the knots and washing it out, and then i also did a co-wash, and so this is how much shedding i got after all of that, so take with that what you will, so i am going to go ahead And slit some cuts into the lace um, just so it'll be easier when it's later on, i'm actually trying to cut the lace after it's already been like laid. So we're just going to do that and then there will be another flap on the other side and then one in the middle, and then this is just how that looks. Now, i'm going to go in with some alcohol and clean the perimeter of my hair. It'S really my whole face at this point. I got it all over my face, i'm going to clean that up and get that up, because i heard that's a very important step and, according to the youtube girls and like i said, i'm going lower because i kind of got every i got messy. I got this stuff all over my face, so i am going lower. Don'T worry, i'm going to moisturize my face later for glue. I don't have it like an actual lip bind like an actual lace bond, so i'm just using some got to be glue. The yellow one and i'm just going to do that, i'm going to do maybe like four layers. I'Ve heard like three to five, so i'm just gon na split the baby and do four layers of this, and i am making sure to hear my ear tabs because just from experience, that is where my a lot of my wigs lift the most. And so i'm going to make sure i do my best to prevent that from happening in between each layer of got to be. I am going to be using this even wonder, lace, bond spray, and this is my first time using it. I'Ve heard people talk about it on tick, tock, and so i picked it up. I did get the red bottle and i'm really excited to see how it works, see if tic toc was hyping it up too much or what i'm just gon na go in one more time with that alcohol and get like the surrounding areas just to get more Spillage up, and then this will be my last layer, i'm going to do. I decide to like put the wig halfway on. So when i'm done with this layer, i can just easily kind of plop it on hurry up, while it's tacky and i did decide to only do three layers just because it was it was looking weird like and i was like, i don't think i'll make it To four layers, so i just decided to kind of stop at three, so this will be my third layer y'all. Let me know if that was a mistake or not i mean i feel like worse come to worse. I just won't have the wig on for that long, which is okay with me. I don't be liking with my wigs on for forever no way so, and then this is a learning experience, so maybe next time around i'll be like no, i needed four and next time i'll be like girl. You could have used two who knows like this is all a learning experience testing to see if, if it's tacky - and it is okay - so i'm gon na start with oh y'all, i'm getting nervous, i'm gon na start with my middle flap, it's giving scalp y'all. I am shook it, i am shook it and i'm just really making sure it is exactly where i want it before. I even put the comb to press it in because once i press it in it's pretty much stuck that's spray and it got to be ain't. No joke it's like sticking, so i'm making sure it's exactly where i want it to be before i press down now, i'm pressing into those ear tabs and i'm just really going in with my comb, all around town and just really going to like pressing in like To say pressing in, like my life, depended on it with this comb. I'M not sure if you guys can see that, but we have more shedding, as i'm like combing the hair out, still nothing crazy, okay. So now i'm getting like quite a bit of shedding honestly. This is like kind of a lot got this now before i glue the wig down, i'm gon na go ahead and do some very, very light plucking. I am not a fan of like the really plucked looks like that's not my deal and then honestly, i feel like personally, the wig plugs itself like when you get all the shedding like of the frontal and everything like you eventually end up with a plucked hairline At some point in time, so i mean i just feel like i like to start off with less plucking and then, as the time goes on, you know, it'll get you know it'll just kind of naturally get to where it needs to be, and then, like. I said i'm not really a fan of like the super plucked hairline anyway, so i'm gon na do very very light plus okay, so i did my plucking and i have tied my hair down and now i'm going to blow-dry it, but before i get to blow-drying, I just want to to my own horn, real quick, and i want to say that while i was plucking, i realized i did my thing with bleaching and knots. Those are not. They look good. Let me just say that they look good. If i do say so myself, so i'm just gon na get here, we're nearing the end. I'M excited and i haven't like completely messed up at this point. In my opinion, i think i'm gon na do a side. Part go back to my roots me in my truest form like if i'm just being my true like authentic to the like to the nitty-gritty myself, it's side par swoop, banging curls like that's just me, that's who i am so that's what we're going to do. That'S what i'm going to give you guys today, i feel like i've, been i've been veering away, i've been trying new stuff and don't get me wrong. I liked it all, but it's time to get back to me it's time, it's time to be myself, it's time to go for what i know. So, let's go okay, so we are back in the hair is fully blow dry and let me tell y'all this hair is so soft. It feels amazing to the touch. I did put a tiny, tiny bit like less than a pea-sized amount of oil in here. Just for frizz purposes, but it is so this hair is so soft okay. So this is how we're looking before i cut the lace um i will say the hair like in the perimeter is a little gummy a little like crunchy, but that's probably because i put that um. I put that spray on right before i tied it down. Maybe i shouldn't did that, like i put it like on top right here like maybe i should have done it so, but we'll fix that. I think. That'S, i'm sure i know that's fixable, so i'm not too worried about that. I am just using scissors um and i'm just trying to get as close possible to the like edge of the lace without cutting myself. Okay. So this is what we're working with um right now, don't mind that little piece of lace hanging, but this is what we got and you guys honestly, i'm very, very, very satisfied. I'M gon na go in with some more foundation on my the perimeter so because you guys can see like it's looking a little whitey, so we're gon na go in with some foundation and try to fix that. Okay, after that, this is what we're working with like you, i don't know if you guys can tell oh my gosh. This lighting is just not doing it justice. I really really really did a good job like. Where does the lace start now? I know y'all, probably gon na, say i could have plucked some more and i agree i agree, but here we are it's okay, and so now we're gon na make this side part happen. Here is the final look with the curls um. This is before i have comb the curls out, but honestly y'all, i kind of don't even want to comb my curls out, like i'm just loving the look just how it is it's given it's giving it's giving me y'all. This is who i am supposed to be side par, sweet pain, curls. This is me i did my makeup. I'Ve got out the pajamas, i know y'all started seeing me in pajamas, and this is the look. I am going to go ahead and clone the curls out, but y'all, especially because it's raining outside, so they was just going to fall anyway. I'M so upset about that um i got ta go run some earrings and stuff, and so they were just gon na fall right out anyway, but look at the curls this hair, this hair definitely holds a curl. What i will say is this hair is pretty frizzy though, but it's nothing like a little oil can't fix. I guess so. Maybe i'll put like i really don't like putting a lot of product in my hair, so maybe i'll just put a tad bit more oil in it other than that. The look is perfect. Here is oh, i forgot to do my baby hairs hold on okay. So i did a little bit baby hair action, i'm not the best that baby hair. So please don't kill me. I don't even know how to do my own baby hair. So this is what i got to give, but i'm definitely like, i said, loving the look. A little bit oil and then i'll - probably redo this curl right here, but other than that the hair is bouncy. It'S voluminous, it's full! I think this is definitely a good fullness. I wouldn't want it any fuller um i did show you guys the shedding and then those little flyaways. I did end up having to tie that down with mousse and a scarf. While i was doing my makeup because the flyaways was pretty bad, not gon na lie but y'all like first of all the camera. Just never does me just this in life anyway, which i don't understand it, but i'm looking at this mirror behind me and i look good so i definitely would buy this wig again because it was a very good price for what you got like. Not even a lot, i definitely will have the link in the description box below once again. This is icy hair. It was a 20 inch. I believe it was a 13 by 4 frontal, it was body wave hair and it was a 150 density, and so that's what all the details on the wig, but again i have it linked. I think that kind of wraps up this. Look you guys, please. Let me know how you think i did please. Let me know if you have any tips or tricks that you think would definitely elevate my practice to the next level, because i will be doing my own wigs moving forward. Of course, i'll still go to the hairstylist. You know when i'm something special, but i feel like i'm more confident i feel like. I could do this again. I feel like i could do it better next time too. So definitely let me know, let me know if there's any other hair companies you like for me to review. Let me know if any videos that you want to see from me moving forward. I just really appreciate you guys tuning into this video.
