I am chef b, welcome back to my channel for today's video we're about to style this unit from wowafrican.com and i'm so excited to get into this video. So the hair that i got from wow african is a kinky straight 100 human hair. I got this hair in 14 inches, it is a hundred and fifty percent density and it is a 13 by six lace, frontal and an hd, undetectable lace. Now look how the hair is looking straight out of the package that it's ready to be worn instantly, i'm loving the texture of the hair, the hair super full at 150 density. This is how the hair is looking. I received this hair with absolutely no shedding at all, and also it comes with the detachable ban on the inside. Now, let's get into the styling of this unit, so i'm going to be using this wax stick to get the hair to lay in the direction that i want it to lay, and this is just prepping, the hair for the hot comb that we're about to use. So i'm doing a very deep parting with this wig. So initially i was just gon na go with it being straight and then i'm like girl. We want to give this some some some sauce, so you wan na we wan na do something a little bit extra with this unit, especially with it being this full. I got the idea of doing some wand curls with this hair, so first things. First, i'm gon na go in with my hot comb and i'm gon na get the hair to lay in the direction that i need it to be laid in. So i won't be using any mousse or anything like that, just straight hot comb, for the root so that it gets that natural. Looking parting like we want that parting to look as much as scalp like as possible. So i'm just gon na go continue going into the direction and guys like if you wear wigs, often or you have a staple wig, you need a stable, hot comb, because the hot comb is a necessity. It is a tool that you need, so you need to hop on amazon or your local beauty. Supply store, get you a cheap little hot comb, or something because you need that hot comb, because it works wonders ever since i've been using a hot comb with my wigs, they have come out or styling has been phenomenal. So now we're gon na go in with this tresemme um. It'S a heat protectant, but also it's mostly used for when styling to prevent freezing. So i'm just gon na put this all over the hair, get it as even out as possible, and also i don't want to use too much in it. You honestly, don't need a lot now, the this one iron that i'm using. I got it some years ago from amazon, and this is the first time i'm using it in probably like two years, so we want to give this somewhat of like a flexi rod, a flexi rod. Type of look like you know when you get your natural hair blown out and you do flex around sets with it and you get that ringlet type of curls. That is what i was going for with this hair. So honestly, because this um one iron, it heats up super fast and it's so efficient and effective. It took me about 45 minutes to get the hair done like i didn't have to hold the hair onto the to the one iron too long, literally the time that you're seeing me holding this, i only sped up this video to like an additional 0.3. So it wasn't that fast. I didn't double the timing, so you're, seeing this almost in real time. So i took my time and did it hold it on there for about six seconds and release it, and that is how quick the curls were formed in this hair. So it didn't take as much time as it seemed like it took, so i'm just going to continue to do that. You guys can see the direction in which i wrap the hair around the wand to create the effortless curls. Now this is how the hair is. Looking once i have finished curling it up and i absolutely loving it, it is giving life look, how bonesy the hair is and because of the fullness of the hair and then doing the one one curls it is absolutely gorgeous and it's looking really natural now. This is how my hair is looking on my bow to show you guys how i prep my hair for a protective style or wearing a wig. So i'm going to go in with my scalp oil, i'm going to leave the link or the name of the scalp oil down below, for you guys, i'm wearing some old braids, like i barely refresh my braids, and this is because you know you want to leave Your hair untouched, especially when you're doing a protective style you want to touch your hair as little as possible. Then i go in with the cheese, balm edge control and then i put on my wig cap now, if you're new here i don't do the ball. Cap method, your girl is lazy, and not only am i lazy, i just can't be bothered with all the extra step it takes to apply a ball cap type of wig. Okay, if i got ta do a ball cap, i'm not doing it. Okay, so i'm just gon na work with what i can do so now, i'm gon na go in and show you guys how i'm gon na apply this wig, but before that i just use a little bit of got to be freezing spray on my natural. You know hairline just to prevent, fly away since again we're not doing the ball cap, so i don't want my edges to interfere with um me doing this wig. So the guy to be be is completely harmless on your edges. It doesn't do anything. I'Ve been using. It for years and like y'all, can see i'm not edgeless. At least i don't think i'm edgeless okay. So this is how the wig is looking once i have put it on, and i'm just gon na bring my cap a little bit forward, since it's slid back when i put on the wig and i'm to pull the hair forward, trying to get it in the Direction that i need it to go and i'm just seeing where i need to cut now. This hair slightly has a widow's peak and i got a big forehead. I don't mind my big forehead, but i don't want my wig to come down too far on my forehead, so i know later on, i'm gon na have to cut that extra hair and lace in the front. So the first thing i do before i melt the lace is, i always make sure i cut around the ear to make sure that it's aligned properly and also it's just to see if i could wear the wigs as glueless, meaning that later on. When i take this wig off like tomorrow, i put it on, i really don't have to use any glue at all, so i line the wig how i want and then i make two cuts in the lace now. This is a hd undetectable, clean lace and girl. This, these type of lace work great for any type of skin tone when you have natural hair you're, not doing the bald cap method or any type of hair when you're doing about when you're not doing the ball cap method, this type of lace is harmless. On your um hairlining, because it doesn't snatch your edges like a lot of these lace and a lot of these glue, so we're using ebi and lace spray and then we're just going to bring the lace forward and then put the blow dryer on that. And it dries installing, so i just put the dryer on there for a couple seconds until it's dried and it's tacky and then i just keep doing that going around. So i do section by section and not the whole thing at once, and then i just keep repeating the steps, so it's really simple or as simple as it takes to practice over time. It will become, like second nature, for you to install your units now to cut off the excess lace i'm going to as close to the hairline as i can get without making it um look too raggedy. So i'm going in and out i'm not cutting straight across and now for this extra hair in the front with the widow's peak, i'm just going to cut that off because again, as i said, i want this to look natural and i wanted to mimic my natural Hair lining as much as possible. I know it's a wig, you know it's a wig, but we don't need it to look too weak. You feel me. I want it to still be recognizable that this is me and not just some new hairline. Now i spray a little bit of the got to be not the god to be the ebi and spray onto my fingertips and just dab that onto the lace as a as opposed to spraying it on directly. I'M just going to take this elastic band and this is going to help to melt the lace to make it look effortless. Now you can get this band at your local beauty supply store. You can get it on the website. You can get it on amazon. You can get this pretty much anywhere, also a staple that you need in your collection when styling your wigs. Now, i'm just using my fingers to just fluff out the curls. Now i'm not using a comb because i don't want it to be. You know too frizzy. I just wanted to look effortless and i'm gon na go in with the wax stick once more to just help with the flyaways and then i'm gon na re-touch, the curls in the front. Just you know, get it to look a little bit more defined. I feel like the curls in the front were a little bit too big. I needed it to be. You know a little bit um more carefree and a little bit. Y'All know what i'm trying to say, like i'm, just gon na keep doing it until i'm satisfied with the look and guys you need this iron like. I need to put the link for this iron and put it in my amazon store, so you guys could see it and get it as well or if it's not there anymore, since it was years ago, i'm gon na try to find something similar for you guys And that is basically it, so this is what the hair is looking like, and the lace after i've tied it down for about five minutes and then onto this step now this is optional. A lot of people just wear their hair slick back i like to do a little bit of sideburn situation with the loose curls and a little bit of soup to do like nothing crazy. I keep it real simple. I don't go above and beyond to create like baby hairs and edges in the front, but i do like my little swoops, so we're gon na take this little hot iron, flat iron and then just curl, some hair in the front. And then i'm just gon na. Take um, we call it, i'm not gon na really use anything on there. Usually i'd use some ebi and on there as well the lace spray, but i'm not going to do any of that. I want it to look effortless and, like it's carefree type of loose. Curl soup type of thing, so all i did was take my little um what i call my little edge brush and just brush it in and just play around up with the hair. Until i am satisfied with the look, so what i'm gon na do in the front, because i don't want to really cut the hair, i'm just going to take this bobby, pin and pin the hair back so that it gives a little bit of bang a curly Bang in the front, as opposed to cutting the hair too much, and this i'm going to cut just a little bit off the end in the front so that you know i don't put me in the eye or nothing crazy like that. But as you guys can see, we didn't do anything like too drastic with the cutting. Now i'm just going to take some translucent powder, and this is the laura mercier powder in the shade medium and you don't have to buy this because you know it can get pricey, but any type of foundation powder that you have like a loose powder. You can just take that and dab it onto your lace so that you know it looks more scalp like and i'm doing that, because i want to hide the cap on my hair, because this is a hd lace. So it's see-through okay, it all. It'S all the way see-through, so you can literally see your wig cap underneath. So i put a little bit of powder on there to hide that and let my part look effortless, and this is the completed look like guys like. I am so in love with this hair. It is giving everything.
