Wig Review Paula Young/Part 1/Jamie Lynn/Come To The Review Party

Hello, my posse hello, all my new subscribers. Thank you so much for coming to my wig review party. Today we are going to introduce you to a new wig. Some of you might know it. Some of you may not it's new to me. So I'm really coming out of my comfort zone for this, but I want to welcome you all and hope that you stay tuned until the end. We have our snacks on the table, of course, for all of you, winifred brought tea. Sandwiches and Mary breed brought drinks, and she also has some wet martinis over there for those who so partake in that she's also got tea, so you know help yourself. We'Re gon na have some fun and we're going to introduce you to somebody in one minute hold on, so we are going to talk about a new wig today. Well, at least it's a new wig for me and before we get started, I want to tell you that this wig today is an old wig this one here, I don't think I reviewed this is color me beautiful by Polly young in pecan delight, and you know I got this, I think before I even started reviewing wigs and I I went through all my wigs yesterday yesterday was a clean up, your wig act day and oh, my gosh, I have probably 35 of them and some of them I were going to throw. I was going to throw away because they are old, they've been worn. I wear my wigs every day and you know I I just washed them all and you know, listen taz might be next door at the wig closet or something so don't tell her. I'M telling you this, but I did I put them all in the washing machine. Shh, don't say anything because that's a week! No no, but somebody on here, one of my subscribers said that they put their wigs in the washing machine and I was trying to YouTube it. You know to see what the strategy was for, putting him in the washing machine, so I put them all in a pillowcase tied. The pillowcase really good at the end, threw him in on delicate with all detergent and fabric softener, and when I took them out of the pillowcase after they were almost dry because of the spinning. I I only threw away one wig that wasn't any good. They all came to life, and this was one of them. It just bumps right up now. You know if these were $ 150, wigs or expensive wigs. I probably would not do the washing machine routine, but you know they're there, Paula, young, wigs, are inexpensive and they're old. So what did I have to lose? Could either there was about six, eight of them that I was gon na toss out, but now I saved him so some of them, you know or just maybe, when I go outside of the summer and workout and sweat, and I don't want to wreck my newer Ones so, but they all came out new. So this is one and I am going to buy this one again and when I do I will I will review it so today I just have it kind of like we were talking the other day about Vidal Sassoon. Remember the Vidal Sassoon geometric haircuts. I had one of those in high school and I rocked it. I mean that's pretty good. You know that and a can of Aqua Net spray. Remember the Aqua Net spray. Oh my gosh. We had the red kid and then I think they came out with the hard to hold purple kid. You could have been in a wind tunnel and your hair wouldn't move just your lips would have movement. Your hair would have been right in place. I mean you know, and I I do this wig today takes me out of my comfort zone and I laugh at myself because I am an 80s girl and I do love being here. It'S just me, and I remember in school I used to before backcombing even come out. I would take my hands and back comb my hair and and have it really big in high school, and I had gym like the first hour well, who has gym first hour and so try it. I would never go to gym because I didn't want to mess up my hair, of course I plank gym, but there's another video. But anyway, you know some of the girls would come out of the locker room with her straight here and they'd, be just you know, throwing it back. You know - and I thought God you know if I throw my hair back I'd - get a whiplash, because it's so big and so thick, but does just me anyway, but I always admire these girls with these straight bobs and they could just you know, kind of you Know do one of these numbers and hey you know this nice strike. I mean I love the look. I thought it was kind of you know sexy in its own way, but you know I'm totally big here so this one I wanted to try and first let me introduce you to her. She she's new. So this is Jamie. Lynn, hi are you? How are you? Oh, I'm glad that you came by today to introduce you so oh it's nice to see you. I'Ve already helped myself to the dirty martini anyway, so yeah this was, of course you know Bella my granddaughter she does all my heads like this and they're all in the closet staring at me. I have a new wig rack, though so I am gon na. Do an update on all my wigs that I bought and that I've some I have reviewed some I have not, but my husband made me a wig stand and I'm going to do just an update for you of all of all the wigs that I bought. That'S that's coming soon, but jamie-lynn is new and you can see it is pretty flat for me and it's kind of the bob style which is you know not me and the color of this. I was really kind of afraid to try it because it's it's called flame routed and it is sf3 3/24 number 4, as you can see, and it is jamie-lynn, but she is really really cute and you know I've got to tell you that wigs are for a Lot of different people you might where you might be new to wigs, you might be, you know not new to wigs and just looking for different styles. Maybe you are the type of person who just likes the same style and that's fine mostly. I do I'm I'm mostly, you know this style of hair. I do change it up, though, with my gear. I have a lot along here, so I'm pretty proud of myself from coming out of my comfort zone and doing at my age, 76 of doing other styles. So I am happy this. This one is one, but you know if you have thinning hair and you're in you're wearing and because your hair is thinning or because you're you know just want to do it for fun or you're lazy. Like me, you don't want to fix your own soft here, no matter what you do for wigs. You know you you, should you should make sure that you find a color, that's comfortable for you and even though nervous about it, because I'm very olive complected and a lot of Reds just dragged me down. So you really have to be careful when you come out of your comfort zone when you try different wigs right, Jamie, oh yeah, that's so true that you find a color. I mean if it's okay to be red, but you got to find something that blends with your skin. You don't want to go way off the beaten path and you know you put it on and and you it doesn't blend in with your skin tone. I mean you could always change up your makeup and I think for this one. Maybe I could change it up a little bit, but I'm pretty much. I'Ve got the covergirl going today, so I'm pretty happy with my skin today. So I kind of like tried her on a little bit to see, so I think it goes pretty much with my coloring today and the red in this is not really orange red that you think and it's nicely rooted as you can see, and I do love That I wish Polly Young would have more rooted colors than they do, and I wish the dance. The butter toast dance came in more of a dark rooted color, though so butter toasts I've got one coming in and butter toast, which is way over the top different style that I'm going to do, and let me say too also that this is part one of A six-part series that I'm doing on Polly young wigs because I just ordered six - they should send him to me free, but they won't so this is. This is part one of them. A couple of them are. This are same styles, but different colors for me. So I come out of my comfort zone a little bit with them, and I and I really want to do that and I think the affordability of Polly Young allows you to do that to just you're hogging the spotlight Jamie. Would you go sit down, can't hire these models anymore? They just get in your way anyway. I think that the affordability of them, if that's what I would say, allows you to do different styles in to try different things and that's really the fun part you're. Not really venturing off into you know $ 200 wig or something where you know you feel like trapped or stuck or whatever you know. Polly Young allows you to try many different styles and I don't think you know like Amazon. Now you got to be careful because you know they use pictures, but Paul Young is pretty. What you see is pretty much what you get, and so I haven't cut any of the tags off. I did try her on, but you can see it's still. It'S a standard cap, as you can see, it's got a lot of open lefting in the back a lot of breathability on this. It has great tabs on the side and it's great too, for my glasses, because my glasses fit in really good to the ear tabs. It has the velcro on these, which you know I love the velcro tabs in the back. I don't like those metal ones at all, but the velcro ones. I really like so there's it's a standard cap and it's probably two ounces - should have got that. I will put it up on top for you, the length of it and what the actual ounces are, but I would say it's two ounces. Now, if you're new to wigs, you know you want to make sure that you look at the ounces, because if you don't like a lot of heaviness on your head or you just don't like the feel of anything on your head, the ounces are going to make A difference now that the the average sizes in the Amazon wigs are five and a half ounces. Now you may think: oh well, five and a half ounces. That'S that's not much, but when you put it on your head and if you're not used to it, it's gon na make a big difference. Paula Young is just super super light, very lightweight wig and I, like I say it's lighter to me than a baseball cap or a hat that you would wear out. So I don't find any problems with uncomfortableness or sweating or feeling like. I have a vise on my head, they're, very, very light and, if you're new to wigs, you want to make sure that you check out the ounces that are on wigs if you're not new to them, and you can tolerate. You know five six ounces on your head, that's fine! I can it doesn't bother me. You know I mean I have ten pounds if I like the wig, I just be a little lower going like this, but I'd be hey pretty good cuz. I do anything. You know for beauty doesn't matter, but no I mean you were seriously just joking aside, you got ta find something. That'S really light that you that you enjoy to wear that you won't get a headache or whatever. So I think you know it's a good option. Paul Young for you, if you're starting out - and there are other other ones on here that are affordable and probably some that are affordable - that maybe you're even a little better hair quality. That said, let me go and try this on and I will be back soon as I cut the tags up and then I'm I have to I'm sure cutter the bangs, because it is, it is kind of long and straggly here. So let me try this on and I'll be right back. Okay, I'm back anyway! Here she is Jamie Lynn meet Jamie Lynn. I think this it's different for me. I think the color on her is really really. I think I really like it. Yes, I'm going to show you outside the color of it, but it's a really pretty color and I should have got my other stool today to show you but here's the side of it in the back, and here is my left in the back and you can See how full it is in the back, which again, like I always say, gives you a beautiful profile if you're full your hair, your hair is full. Your hair is full in the back. Your profile is much much prettier and flat in the back. You can see if you flatten it how your profile is so a nice fluff in the back is what you need. So this, for me, is out of my comfort zone, I'm looking for my flip. I don't have any flips now, if you wanted to just - and this is versa, fiber, I I don't have any luck with versa. Fibers. I had a versa fiber wing before I put it on the 350 180 Celsius 350, and it just made my made the hair straighter. It lost all its all its curl, and if you wanted this a little bit higher, you could just do you know the back. Combing to it and you could flip it, you know down the sides and I do like with this. You know the square head. Bends are you? Oh I'm sure you all have square head bands, but the square head bands on this is really really cute. I think, and I situated in there like so sorry, there's that mirror again well part with those beer, though I live, had this beer for Freud 20 years, and I just like, I don't want to part with it, so the square headbands are really cute with this Particular wig, you can probably take it even and pick it up with the square headband, so it would be up that way. A little bit, I think, is super super cute. I think the only thing that I'm going to do with jamie-lynn is trim the bangs a little bit. I don't know if I should do that on camera, to show you or not, because let's see I'm not really going to trim them much, I'm only going to take it. My direction of curl would be that way. I'M only going to take it's kind of hard for me to see I'm going to take. Maybe this much and just trim them up a tad. I probably do want to those numbers just to shag it up a little, so it's not falling in my glasses Ricky. You got ta pass the vacuum so that pretty much is all I'm going to. I think do with her. I might pick it up. I don't know, take a little bit more. I just take a little bit more and do that. I'M gon na do it in the bathroom, though, just because I can't see very well here and let me be right there: okay, I'm back anyway. I think what I might do here. I might steam this bang a little bit down because it has a tendency of flipping up and instead of like under, like I like it, I think if I just shoot this with some steam, this will give me the bang that I'm accustomed to, but I think For a change you might go, you know, that's not your stuff and it isn't, but for change I think Jamie. It'S got a nice fullness to it. You can wear it back on one side if you want. Even you know, if you want to put this, may not be the best flower but and then just you know, flip it up and like I say, if you want to backcomb it a little bit, I got my Red Robin. I mean my red Cardinal out here again, if you wanted to flip it up a little bit on this side. Fluff it up put this towards your face high. You want that look. I think it would be really cute. You could tuck her behind your ears. You know totally and bring some of these out in the side, which is a cute look that you might want to cut those a little bit if you like that, but you could do that. You probably could maybe put some roll to this. Maybe it's really hard for me to see here so and maybe stick a clip in it. I can't see that so it might look hideous, I definitely have to steam. The bangs definitely have to steam the bangs down. I don't I don't like the. I don't like the direction of the curl, but you know you could put a clip, maybe not there. Maybe somewhere, I don't know a little clip would be probably cute if you had a big mirror. I was in front of that you could do like sue. You could put a little clip on one side like that, so for a change I think the rooted flame rooted color is really pretty. I think it goes okay with my skin tone. It'S not real orange. I thought it was gon na, be, you know, really orange and it's not and like I say I think, I'm just gon na hit the steam to the bangs, maybe cut the bangs a little bit more if i steam them so they'll just be wispy straight across Because that's what I'm used to you know, I'm not one that can do no bang, you know and then, if you had a cute necklace okay, if you wanted to wear a little choker with it would be cute, I mean I'd have to take off my Hershey Kiss here, but you could do a little choker take this out and just you know, fluffer up, you could also you know, take some sculpting gel that they have and use it all through it to give it some nice volume you can get quite a bit of Volume out of her, which I like she's, got an awful lot of static in it. For some reason, this wig is full of static and it's like I need to take a bounce to it or something so just a little fluffing here hit with a little wig spray and I think she's cute for a change. You know I have that bouncy hair. So let me show you again from the side how it looks you can see: it's got a nice curl formation, a nice curl flow, a nice pull in this tour. The back is very, very pretty should be at this side. I hear in my eye too: does it this sides very, very cute, very kind of flippy in the back just a really natural nice profile. It gives you which I you know, i'm all about profiles and stuff. So this is jamie-lynn. I think she's pretty cute. I do like the color, don't think, there's anything else. I forgot to tell you the cute headband look, there's other headbands too, that you know you can you can use if you want to. If you like the headband look, this is just another look. I have not tried the tie with this one. I don't think twist-tie would be as great for this one and of course, if you like the glass look, the sunglass look, you can do that. These are my granddaughters. I have worn these in the summer, but I have a girlfriend that just buys the cheap glasses. If you'd get the sunglass through the glass look on her on her on her hair, she does it on her hair. But if you like that look, so this is Jamie Lynn, I'm glad I introduced her to you. I hope you enjoyed the tea sandwiches and the cocktails and the water and the pop and all that stuff, and I'm glad that you came by today for this review and, like I say this is part one of a sixth series, polly yang wig i'll, probably do The next one, maybe next week or so I don't know I might do one a week - maybe you want every other week, probably one a week. I will do and still try to fit my other videos in. So I'm pretty happy with her. I think for a change, husbands, kind of shocked at her. You know because he's not you know again: you're not used to seeing yourself in certain here's dust and when you first put them on you know, if you don't change your makeup or or you're not used to that style, you don't go like. Oh my gosh, just like terrible, because if you wear this for like two or three days - and you start looking at yourself in the mirror, just like what, if you get a bad haircut or you go from long hair to short hair and you freak out the Next day, I've certainly been there, I'm sure you've been there and then, after about the third day, you start to get used to yourself. Looking like that, it's just a process of of how you see yourself and it's just you know it's a big change when you're not used to that and you know. But after about you know the second or the third day, you will find yourself, maybe liking your new look, which will then let you go and try other looks and, like I say, changing up, that's what wigs are all about, and some of us just like to Change and some of us, you know, want to stay safe and be in your comfort zone and wear the same style and that's fine, whatever, whatever you like, I'm here, to show you all options so again: jamie-lynn Paulito young and thank you for coming to my party.
