Hey everyone. It'S me alex and everyone's favorite bird archie. Today'S video is part one in a multi-part series, i'm making about trying on weeks from various price ranges. Hence why we're starting at what i would maybe call the bottom of the rung as far as wigs go. We'Re starting off with sheen: they are some of, if not the most affordable, wigs on the internet that actually have very, very decent reviews. Every episode i'm going to be trying on the same style of wigs in the same colors or similar colors and similar lengths. So that way we get a pretty good comparison across brands, so episode 1 sheen next time i can try wigs from wish. I can try weeks from aliexpress, but then i will be making my way up through the tiers and trying better and better brands until eventually i'll be trying on those lace front, wigs that probably cost more than my monthly mortgage repayments. But let's cut to the footage of me unboxing these wigs that i picked up from she in so you can get my initial reactions and then i'm going to be splicing in footage of me actually properly wearing the wigs, and you know looking a little bit better Than look you'll see what i mean as soon as i cut to this old footage. You'Ll be like the hell happened to you, nothing, i'm fine. At least now i am okay, let's start things off with the long pink wig. Now this one is called the natural long curly synthetic wig with bangs in baby, pink, it's 24 australian dollars. So pretty it feels very soft, i'm not sure how to style it. But i'll learn, please like saying please like and subscribe archie. What do you think? Well, that's just plain rude. I think i'm going to have to take these up to a mirror, perhaps with some scissors straight off the bat for 24 look. I i've owned a lot of wigs i've owned a lot of bad wigs because i've i've bought a lot of bad halloween costumes um. This is not a bad wig, it's actually a very good wig. I see why it has so many good reviews. It feels great all right thoughts. Do you like it right? Do you think so, i'm having an exceptionally hard time with this wig, this wig is very large and when i sort of pull it forward so that it actually covers my hairline in pulling it forward. All of this there's all this weight around here that it's just it's too heavy, and even if you like, tighten it up at the back and everything it doesn't, it doesn't really hurt. Oh well, maybe i'll get my words. Wait! Hang on yeah! Look i i. This is proving to be quite difficult. Look at how long this is. This is like a dress all right. Next, we've got the short pink wig. This one is very staticky. The hair is all sticking to my arms. Now, the color okay, it's not exactly the shade of pink that i wanted, but it is the length that i wanted and i couldn't get the length that i wanted with exactly the color i wanted. So i had to compromise so this one is called natural, curly wig with bangs, and it cost 15 australian dollars. This one has 1 483 5 star ratings, and the very first image that comes up is uh of this girl, who looks so beautiful. She says it is super soft uh. It fits really nice, it's adjustable and uh. I bought it thinking about cosplaying, but now i can go out with this and totally feel myself. I also bought my normal hair color, so i can do some natural roots best decision ever and it looks so good. I swear i feel like that is not the same wig i mean i don't want to call t star star star one a liar, but is that really this really? Oh, you know what t triple star one may not have been lying. After all, it does look promising arty. What do you think? Do you like this one? Is this one better than the other one i like it, i like it. Do you like it all right? What about this one? Do we like this one? I am thoroughly enjoying this. This is so nice. I love this wig so much now. Something that i really must reiterate here is that i am an absolute novice as far as wig wearing goes. I just buy wig uh unbox wig, put wig on head hope that it looks good if wig doesn't look good. I feel sad. I don't wear the wig again uh, but it is my very first episode in my week series. So i am hoping that you guys are going to be able to give me a little bit of advice here, tips and tricks as to how you help to make a wig look and fit a lot better. This is literally just buying the wig off sheen and just putting it on my head and just kind of tussling, the fringe a little bit and being like hey it's so cute. I love it, but i reckon if i were someone that let's say i'd been cosplaying for years and i'd been wearing wigs for a long time and i knew how to make the most out of this product i think i'd get. I think i would look as good as that girl in the review. You know the one that i was like. Surely that's not the same wig. I think that this wig has so much potential. I love this and you guys will actually see me wearing this in videos. This is promising. You know like that, a lot a lot of the time when for fun, i have worn a wig in a video because i couldn't be bothered to like wash my hair or something people have said. Oh, that's a horrible nasty ass wig. Maybe this one. Maybe this won't entice such comments. Maybe people might be like hey. I like her hair. It'S such a cute, color tell me where else you think that i should shop for one of these, because this the way that this is right now on me, like short, pink bob with a fringe wow. If i can find the perfect one of this wig, i will be so happy, but for those of you, if this is within your price range, i feel like you would really really really love this one. This is fantastic all right, so i'm probably most excited about this one, because i have been wanting a blonde bob. Ever since i tried on this little blonde wig i got from uv years ago, which is the bad wig that i have worn in that many videos, and i don't care how bad it is. I just i love the look of the blonde bob. This one is definitely nicer than the uv one. It feels so much softer this one's called natural short curly wig with bangs, and it was 16 australian dollars. This one has 382 five star reviews, it's surprisingly good quality and looks absolutely real for the price. It'S amazing. I really really recommend it. It'S great for cosplay. I personally just wanted to see how i would look blonde go buy it and she does look so cool, but also her wig looks a little bit more kind of sandy than this one. This one throws a little bit more orange than what the images in the reviews are showing um wow all right blonde. What do you reckon is this? Okay, hello? I had to mess around with this wig for so long to get it to sit the way it's sitting right now. It'S also like on its loosest tightness at the back, and it's really hurting my head. It'S too tight on me. There is so much volume in this and i low-key feel like misty from yellowjackets, and i also feel equally insane. I actually like my cheap yuvini one more that one's just a little bit easier. This there's just so much volume in here it's wild. There is so much hair on this wig, it's really heavy and it's really dense and i just i was standing in front of the mirror for so long sort of yanking to and fro and trying to get it to sit just the right spot. And i was like no there's too much volume in the front. I feel like i've got to pin some back and if you know what you're doing with wigs and you like the look of this, i don't think you'd be disappointed because at least you'd know how to kind of fix it up and make it sit well. But for me it's not a it's, not a yes or no! It'S just like a incapable hands. Go for it! I'M gon na channel my inner daenerys with a long blonde, wig wow, very long okay. So this one is called natural, long curly synthetic wig with bangs and it was 23.. It has 67 five-star reviews and the people that have put these images here. Look at her. She looks unbelievably good. She says beautiful, wig, a beautiful woman. This color is really nice and this wig is really comfy. I use it for a costume, so cool. Well, you look incredible see. Reviews like this are what convinced me to get this and uh these images, and these reviews give me hope that this can end up. Looking good, it's not terrible it. I feel, like my judge, of how nice a wig is, is when i put my fingers to it, and i run them like this, i'm like is it catching? Are my fingers going all the way through and my fingers are running just about all the way through there to the bottom and i just kind of have to part the hair a little bit to get them through, but i didn't lose any hair. There'S none on my hands, none stuck to my fingers. It'S not a bad wig. I feel like my concern with it. Is you know, obviously this seam at the front here and trying to get that to look natural, which is why i don't really tend to go for wigs like this i'd. Much rather have the actual bangs at the front. Then you don't really have to worry about this, but when i do start to explore the world of lace front wigs, hopefully i will be able to navigate this disaster here, but you know what i i don't mind it. I actually think i may use this a few times. Actually, i'm uh about to show you this long blonde one. What do you think do you like it? It'S very long and it's very curly. I feel like the girl from tangled, except it's not a lizard. It'S a very aggressive, green parrot. I have absolutely no idea how to make this work like to me. The the hairline has to be well. It can't be there because you can see my natural hairline, so i pull it to the front. You know where my natural hairline sits, but then it all just it. I i don't i don't. I don't understand i no i mean yes, i could yeah good like i could take these bits and pin them at the back. Somehow possibly does that yeah. I cut this. I sat in front of the mirror for ages. Trying to work it out, could not absolutely could not. I just i feel and look like cousin is yeah. I'M glad you agree archie. This is another one where like please please. I beg you. If you know what you're doing and if you know like how to style these sort of crazy cosplay, wigs that are very big, they have a lot of potential. And if you know what you're doing, please tell me what to do. I might get some cosplay outfits and do some cosplaying you know like, but once i go through my series and i've learned from your comments and everything i know a little bit more about how to style these wigs and how to how to make them fit properly And stuff like that, i'll maybe wait until toward the end of the series and then i'll revisit some of the ones that i really really up, because this this is one of them this. This is one that i just i'm, not i'm not gon na say that i'm not gon na try, because i did try, but my idea of trying is probably not oh, no, please. My heart is beating so fast if you've ever been bitten by a parrot with a beak that big. You will understand why that frightened, the life out of me, but with that, let's uh, have a break and i'm going to share some words from today's sponsor hellofresh is a subscription meal kit that delivers easy to follow, recipes and fresh pre-portioned ingredients that are ready to Cook right to your front door, there's no time wasted, because you don't have to hop in the car and go grocery shopping. And with that, let's have a look at the black wig. Next, this one was called the natural long wig curly wig with bangs. It was 21 australian dollars, and this one has 2 500 five star ratings. This is like delightfully soft, it's so nice, it's holding its curl really nicely. It does look more natural than the others, and the first review that comes up says so soft, just like the photos could use some plucking. I i don't know what that means. Could someone please tell me what could use some plucking means, so this wig don't know if i would actually call this black. This is, i feel like this is a dark brown. This is not a black wig in any way at all. No, this is most certainly dark. Brown uh, i love it. I can't believe this was 21. That'S bonkers! That'S ridiculous! This is so nice, my god. I feel like anyone that buys this wig right now and receives it is going to be happy. I love the length of this. I like the way that the waves sit. I think that it's styled very nicely. It'S got a nice sort of bounce to it. A nice flow to it again, it's an odd hairline situation, at least for me, because for me to sit at where my hairline is the whole wig kind of comes all the way forward, and then it's kind of there's too much around my ears and the fringe Will need to be trimmed uh, but i i know i'm sure that a lot of people would like to see me trim the fringes and stuff in this video, but i don't want to stuff it up. I kind of want to just make my little wig series gather all of the wigs and then the ones that people are really really interested in. I can then do like a fixing up my wigs style video and then i can say: okay. Well, this was the wig from sheen. This is the one from aliexpress and i can trim them and take your advice uh. This is one that i will add to that list very excited to try to make this one work, because i think, with the fringe trimmed properly, this could actually be the most natural looking one of all of them. I wish i knew what i was doing. You know: don't you love the fact that i'm more concerned about trimming my wigs than i was about trimming my own hair. I was happy to hack at my own hair with dog grooming scissors, but i'm like oh no, the wig from machine. No, no don't touch that you don't want to mess that one up all right time for the short black wig now, which once again, is not black. There'S like streaks of brown in this, and when i say streaks of brown, i mean like, like actual like streaks streaks of brown, all right, this one is shedding everywhere. There is black hair all over me. This one is called natural short wig with bangs and it was 15 so far my least favorite, it's very shiny. So it looks very synthetic there's just hair falling out of it everywhere, the others they weren't shedding this one's shedding a lot. I hate the brown streaks. They look really weird like i could see in the pictures on the website that there was a little bit of brown kind of hidden in there, but it was not this intense. I do remember when i got this. I looked at the reviews and this one has 3948 five-star reviews, which is what convinced me. This person says great wig, very natural color and looks real and it does look really good on her, but also hers is brown. It'S not the black. This person says nice bounce to it, but it was so itchy on my head like really itch, but besides that it's great yeah, it is really itchy. I have to take it off, although you know what that actually doesn't make sense. Uh in me saying it's really. Itchy i'm wearing cling wrap, perhaps the itch that i'm feeling is from the product. That'S on my head. That should have been washed off five minutes ago. Yeah! No look, there's like black hair all over me, so that one has shed everywhere and i'm actually going to set it aside, so it doesn't shed all over my pink ones, all right. You know what now that i've drawn on black eyebrows. I like it a lot more than i liked it before still not um my favorite by any means, but yes, i actually, i understand now why the people in the reviews of this wig said that they liked it. I can. I can see this one was the easiest this as far as just like chuck it on your head and just be wearing it um very low effort. I literally just i just went. Oh look it. It looks fine. I did no adjustments at all. I literally just put it on, and i was like: ah okay yeah black eyebrows - this, it's all right, um. I still really don't like the the funny sort of highlight things so i'm kind of tempted to try to put black hair dye on it, but it's synthetic and i don't know if blackhead i will take on synthetic fibers like this. So again, if you've got any advice as to how i could possibly make this look a little bit more natural, let me know, because when i had the black bob for the very short period of time that i had it, i really liked it. So i want the flexibility of having it again whenever i wanted so uh yeah. I think that i need. I need your advice on this one, but this one gets a pass from me. I like the length - i think it's maybe just a it's - probably a bit shiny, but maybe you know nothing that like chucking it in the dirt and kicking it around a bit won't fix. But what i like most about it is the fringe. The fringe is actually the easiest of all the fringes. It'S not too heavy, and the hairline, at least on me, sits in a really good spot. So this one when i revisit this one day after i receive all of your advice, i think this one has a very, very promising future ahead of it all right. Let'S have a quick look at the orange ones now, oh this one feels really nice and soft too. This isn't, as short as i thought it was going to be. I wanted to get as close to my natural color as i could, but there were no wigs on she in in the price range i was looking at that suited, so i went for orange instead. Oh, my goodness wow, you know what, when i was young, i did used to have very orange hair like look. This is this is a picture of me sitting on santa's lap with orange ringlets. That'S what i used to look like. I'M not disappointed with this. At all, i feel like with a little bit of styling. I can probably make this one work. I really like the bright color. I know that this was around the 20 mark, because everything that i picked was 20 or under. So this again very happy with this one. There was a point when i had somewhat similar hair to this. I dyed my hair quite bright orange. Almost like an orange like archie's beak, i'm just gon na. Can you just sit. He doesn't like being told what to do anymore. He he used to oblige he used to. Let me tell him where to sit, i'd, be like hey. How about you sit over here and he's like yeah sure, mom, and these days he's like nah, i'm fine step up come on step up step up up step up, let go come on left core. Let go step up come on. Please i need my hands. I can't put on the next one unless i have my my fingers, which you're gripping very tightly come on. Okay, look the best part about owning a bird is when they're misbehaving. You can just do that and they sort themselves out. I don't recommend you do that to your misbehaving cat, so we've got this now. This one is the first one that feels kind of coarse. It doesn't feel soft it almost in a way. I guess feels the most realistic because those ones were just so hyper glossy and smooth that they don't feel real, but this this does have a little bit of texture to it. Oh my god, my face id hasn't recognized me in so long. I'Ve been punching my passcode in for months, it just unlocked, i looked at it and it unlocked. It was like oh alex. Welcome, back, haven't seen you in so long. This one is called long curly synthetic wig with bangs in the shade orange this one had 2 515 five star ratings and i bought it because of this person. Who put? Did you say which one this person says i'm in love with this wig? It'S so soft and so pretty and they look amazing like absolutely amazing, but also that being said, that kind of that wig looks so natural this one. Maybe if i mess it up a little bit more, i'm gon na have to google some techniques to make synthetic wigs look more realistic. I i know i've seen online, something about you put like baby powder or something on them to kind of like soften the effect. I feel like this one. Could? Oh my god, look look at me. I look like me again, but actually i kind of look like me, a mix of me and the girl from brave come on. What do you think? It'S me everyone's favorite mother, don't get too excited, please don't lunge at me any og subscribers cast your mind back and look. It could almost be 2018 again. Almost i mean the the shade of my hair is still a little bit too bright and all but look glue. It'S alex and archie. You know what i want to find. Basically, this exact wig with like a cute curly little fringe and this length and the same amount of like curl or wave to it in a color that looks completely natural like i, i want to just put myself back the way that i was a couple of Years ago, this wig is gon na it's getting me so close. It'S just not the right color. It'S just too, like it's, obviously an artificial color, but i i'm so i'm so happy. Ah it's just oh it's so cute! No! No! No! Thank you! No! That'S fine! Well guys, that's it! That'S everything i hope you liked. Today'S video i've put this wig back on to say goodbye to you, because i think that this is one of my favorites of the video, even though it's not perfect, i'm very excited to work with it, because the black bulb was by far my favorite hairstyle, that I had during my hair adventures, so the idea of having a black bob in a wake form that i can put on whenever i want to excites me very much so so, as i've mentioned earlier, if you have any stores at all that sell wigs that you Want to see me review, please leave them in the comment section down below if you know where i can find a black bob wig. That looks very, very real. That looks kind of like this, like similar, laying similar style fringe like just a light kind of fringe. Please please tell me i just i want to get the perfect one, because if i don't find the perfect one, i'm like this close to dying my hair back to black, but with that, if you enjoyed this video, please give me a thumbs up and also subscribe. If you haven't already don't forget to turn on notifications, so that way you know when i upload my next week, video and uh, it's probably probably gon na, be amazon. Wigs, i would say uh. That seems to be the general consensus in the comments that i've seen so far, there's so many week, videos to come and i'm so excited to make them for you guys. So with that. Thank you guys. So much for watching and i'll see you next time. You

LJ: A few helpful tips: 1. Put dry shampoo or powder on the wigs to give it a less shiny/plasticy look 2. Tweeze some hairs out of the hairline to make it appear more natural (that's what the plucking was referring to) 3. Get some bronzer or eyeshadow and dark then roots a bit to give it that "shadow root" look that most natural hair has. 4. If you want to dye it or change the color, use clothing dye for synthetic fabric. A popular one is Rit Dye. You put it in hot water and dunk the wig in. For the orange wig, you could probably get a brown dye, and dilute it a lot then dip the wig in to give it a slight brown tint making it less vibrant! Hope these tips help

By the grace of God: My daughter lost all of her hair at the age of 4 years due to lupus. Over her first 20 years we (and the high school band boosters) had human hair wigs made. All of them were heavy (she wanted long hair). I think I’ll send your video to her. She is now in her 40’s and may have a lot of fun trying on $20 wigs! Especially the pink, rose and red group!❤

Gillian: Cosplayer here! A little tip to make the roots blend better is to darken the roots with eyeshadow! Using either a darker colour than the wig itself or a natural brown/black to emulate roots! Additionally spraying them down with dry shampoo can help dull the synthetic shine most of them have! Hope that helped! Love your videos

Olivia Grace: That long black wig looks STUNNING on you. The color, the cut, the length just suits you so well. That and the long curly orange wig also looks amazing!

Kelli: As a long time wig wearer (alopecia) First thing you should do when taking a wig out of the box. Shake vigorously. It will bounce into pre set style. Also for the real shinny ones. Desolve a healthy amount (1 cup give or take) of baking soda in lukewarm water and wash hair in this for a couple minutes. Can even soak in it for 5 minutes. Rinse well and let drip dry. You can wash as you go later. And watch a few plucking videos. Love you Alex ❤❤❤❤❤

Boba Bunnie: Some wigs I’ve found that are synthetic, naturally shed a little when you brush it for the first time. I’d say it’s something to expect and is normal. Also most wigs, I’d say almost every wig, comes with longer bangs. It’s so the customer can trim them to their desired length since some ppl have larger foreheads than others and vise versa. I feel you’d have felt a lot happier with some of the wigs if you had taken the time to trim the bangs. I hope in your feature videos you do this so you can have the full experience of putting on a wig and falling in love with it without trying to adjust the hairline a weird way to have the bangs not poke you in the eyes. As a fellow wig lover, I look forward to the rest of your series and seeing your wig journey

sleepykokiri: hi!! tips from being a cosplayer -- to remove shine - wash with fabric softener, rinse and let air dry - adding baby podwer to the root and then brushing down the length helps a lot! dry shampoo can also work styling - only use heat tools on VERY LOW heat - it won't style like normal hair, it's more like heatforming and molding plastic. so for example, straightening to get the hair warm and malliable and then wrapping it around a *not hot* curling barrel until it cools will curl it, but a curling iron won't rly do anything general tips - even tho your hair is very short so you don't need a wig cap to put the wig on, a wig cap will still help it look more natural! get a skin toned pantyhose one, it'll make the experience less itchy and makes it easier to hide the hair line in the front - brush the ends first, adding small amounts of length working upwards to avoid frizzing/breakage - heating the wig around the roots and top with a straightener or low-heat curling barrel and flattening it to your head will make it look less poofy and more natural - if you want to dye the wig, use rit synthetic dye!! hope this helps :)

Adrian Maxwell: Brad Mondo has a video on giving a cheap wig a makeover. For the "Daenerys" wig, you definitely need to have a wig cap on so it pulls your hair all the way back and makes it easier to sit on your hairline. For the price, these actually are actually pretty good, especially right out of the packaging. You're right in saying that someone who has a lot of experience could really make these look great.

Holly K: O-M-G... that brown long curly w/bangs wig seriously was stunning on you! I am excited for this series as you get to play with all the fun colours and styles that you want but without having to do all the work and sacrifice to your own hair.

PinkBombshellcasing: Yeeeessssssssssssss, I’m excited for this series! Please include Etsy in your wig hauls. Synthetic Wig Tips: - Get a pair of thinning shears to thin out the bangs - Get trimming scissors for trimming the hair - You can use Burt’s Bees Powder and a makeup brush to mattify the shine in synthetic wigs - Depending on the cap type, lace front, full lace, etc, get some good tweezers so you can pluck the hairline and the parting for a more natural look - Use concealer in the plucked parting to make it more natural

Tiny and Charming: To remove the overly shiny effect on a wig; fill a sink or large bowl with water and add a couple of tablespoons of your fabric softener. Give the wig a few minutes to soak in the solution and then gently comb through the wig using your fingers. Remove the wig from the water and allow it to dry as you normally would (lay it flat on a towel or sit it on a wig head and don't rub it with the towel) I also have to agree with the comments suggesting a wig cap. You can get them in different colours and I like to use flesh toned ones for my lighter wigs and black for my darker ones. Since you don't have very long hair it should be very easy for you to pop them on, longer hair requires braiding to get it all in. Dyeing synthetic wigs is a coveted dark art. It usually requires synthetic dyes which need pots of boiling water on a hob and stirring. The problem is that the pot then stops being food safe which might not be ideal since you got nice new ones recently! Hope this helps!

Rae T: Brush and wash the wigs! If you don't know how to style them, a good wash and brush will help loads! Also baby powder can help lessen the synthetic shine <3

Shelby: That long orange wig is soooo pretty! I loved having ginger hair but the upkeep was easily the worse thing I've ever experienced. I'm genuinely tempted to order this wig bc its the only color I've ever truly missed besides being blonde. It's also really close to my natural wave/curl pattern on a good hair day lmao

Britta Bea: Alex’s earring game has gotten so amazing. The short hair is amazing but the statement earrings are really the cherry on top!!

HaphazardlyHail: Synthetic wigs can’t be dyed with hair dye, but they can be dyed using fabric dye for synthetic materials! There are a bunch of great tutorials here on YouTube, but essentially you follow the instructions on the fabric dye bottle and treat the wig like you’d treat fabric. Trimming the bangs should help a lot with the way you find they look, as well as thinning out the bits around your face so they’re less bulky (creating some face framing layers is always my go to). I recommend taking some thinning shears to them to help with the bulk as well For wigs without bangs that just have the really blunt parting, I find that turning them slightly so they’re more of a side part instead of a middle part can help sell the illusion better. You can also use a hair dryer to lightly heat up the fibres and adjust the direction that they fall.

Amethyst: Yayyyy I just bought a 20$ wig from shein and I love it! Just got one with bangs so I didn't have to worry too much about the front

Tali: They all look so good on you!! I love how you styled the black one at the end, and the red/orange one did really bring me back to your old videos haha. I don't know anything about wigs so I can't offer you any advice, but I'm excited to see what will happen on your wig journey!

Itme Kilian: Nylon dye can dye synthetic wigs! Most synthetic wigs are made of Nylon!! <3 As far as styling that Mother of Dragon's type wig, where they have what we call a HARD front, What you would want to do, is rake down the first layer of the hair in the front, and comb everything else back, or pin it back, and then create an artificial hairline, by trimming the front row of hair, so that it's very short, you can then either hair spray it down so that it lays like a normal root, but I would suggest you get rid of the center part all together, and do a bit more on one side than the other, and THEN work with the hard front, because the center part will still look unnatural. If the center part is disguised, you can then use the BANGS of the wig, to create the new hairline, I just wouldn't use ALL of them to do so. Use enough to make the hairline look filled in. Also, if you are interested in KEEPing the hardfront without doctoring it, and want that middle part, I'd suggest using a light bit of foundation in your lightest shade, along the center of the wig, to give the illusion of your scalp, but it still doesn't change the area that you're having a struggle with when shifting your wig to your natural hairline. Creating a new hairline in the fashion I suggested, should ENTIRELY take care of your issue! Jaymes Mansfield as another person suggested, is an absolute TREASURE for learning how to do these things!

stuwhomst: You should check out Jaymes Mansfield's wig transformation videos! I'd love to see you attempt to majorly style some of the more terrible cheap wigs :)

AlliK: Amazon has surprisingly good quality wigs, I’ve used Kryssma ones for years. They’re $25-$50, usually lace fronts

Lana Nana: The short pink, the long dark brown and the short orange were 10000/10 they all looked so real and so nice would love to see those ones properly styled and tested

Ana Flávia Lima: First and most importantly: WIG CAP. You're not gonna be able to make the wig look natural or disguise your hair without one, especially cause your hair is so bright red. Get one that goes with your skintone, trust me, its going to make your life a lot easier

HannahBethLuke: its so nice to see you in this video, extremely excited about what you're filming!! i loved the second pink wig for a "fun" look/outfit but for regular.daily wear the brown wig with the darker eyebrows was very stunning. the second orange wig was also very nice on you for a more daily/casual wig!!!! <3

Black Koneko: OMG, the intro was so nostalgic and that hairstyle is fire so nice The second wig looks so good on you. Pink really suits you. 15:10 my god you look gorgeous here. I like this one more than the short black wig.

LexieFlower: Alex, alexa poletti here on YouTube has a great wig series i think would be very helpful in your wig endeavors. She also has tons of great video on wig reviews and etc. Worth checking out for sure.

Kuro Cosplay & Art: Just so you know, shein does have human hair, lace front wigs, for about 100-150€. for that price they are amazing and you probably wont get them cheaper elsewhere. I´d love to see a video of you dyeing one of them. that way you could still have fun with dyeing hair, without ruining your own hair. shein lace front wigs are also quite good, if you know what to look for

TarisLuna: I'm not a wig person, but for some reason I throughly enjoy wig contend. In a lot of those people work with color (make up, eyeshadow / powder) on the parts and roots to make them look much more natural and it's incredible what only doing that does to the look of wigs.

Diana King: The "Misty" wig actually looks really good on you! As an aside, isn't Yellow Jackets so good? Love that show, *cannot* wait for S2 ❤️ Edit: for format

lishilovesapples: It's actually so gratifying to see Archie acting out because I thought my mum's bird was just evil (/joking) but no, they all get like this Birds aside, this is a really fun series! I'm looking forward to the next batch of wigs!

By the grace of God: Ohh I really like the 2nd wig. I want to get my daughter and myself one! Great length, color and density!

Catzi x: Can't wait for more videos of this serie especially the expensive ones actually. I only ordered an expensive wig once and it was from donaloveshair but I really felt a difference! It was amazing

Jennifer Godin: I started filming my following a brad mondo wig tutorial, and the number one best thing that I did was to add roots with eyeshadow and douse it with a ton of dry shampoo I also took out a ton of bulk from the ends with a face razor (but it dulled it so fast)

Ashleigh: Stella Cini has a lot of videos on how to style wigs to make them look like your natural hair. From the things I've watched, a wig cap, styling gel/glue, and plucking/trimming the wig so that it has a natural hairline are some helpful and useful tips; I feel that would help the blonde wig the most. Most of them do look like they would benefit from a good wash and brushing too. Also, I loved that second pink wig on you.

Jessileeisme: I love the idea of this series. I've been getting into wigs recently and love seeing this.

Naomi: As expected the red haired wigs look best on you! I loved the short "bob" one and the longer curly one, especially with that bright red shade on you! Wow!

WeAreJustWords: I LOVE the long brown wig! You look SO incredible with deep brown or black hair it just isn't even funny. Absolutely stunning the way a darker hair color looks with your skin. A goddess.

Caitlin Ars: I'm actually watching this video in my hotel room, after my first day of comic con where I wore one of the wigs that was featured in this video!! I got the short blond bob and I absolutely love it

TK Morgillo: Absolutely IN LOVE with that last orange wig on you! The color the cut the style! OMG!!!

Marina: 22:00 I laughed. See Alex be trying wigs, throwing birds, throwing jokes at us, I love it

Magic Bucket: Alex is giving off total young mom vibes and I’m LOVING it

Holly J C: Hey Alex!!! Been missing your videos! ❤️ Can't wait to see these wigs, what a fun idea for videos. :) Edit: The wigs were amazing and fun! So good to see darling Archie, even if he is still a bit hormonal. ;) You seriously look great in each one Alex. You are inspiring me to get some wigs and have some fun!:) ❤️

Amalieee: Love this and really looking forward to the series! Maybe as your hair grows out you could do the same concept again with different types of hair extensions.

Apathina: I recommend sticking to wigs with front bangs. It feels limiting but at the end of the day they tend to be the most realistic and wearable since hairlines in cheap wigs are the devil

emily jay: Ive had that 2nd pink wig on my wish-list for ages!! Good to know it's worth it

Jess: washing in fabric conditioner helps make synthetc wigs softer and can take the shine out too, and you can dye them with fabric dye rather than hair dye. cutting in layers also helps with longer wigs so they're not as heavy

FateFury16: The best advice I've ever gotten for wigs came from Alexa Poletti here on YouTube. She has so many wig videos but she also has a full wig styling and maintenance Playlist on her channel:) 12/10 recommend

Kayla Zomboid: I've been wanting to buy that second wig for ages, so I'm glad you reviewed it!

Jozie Garner: I’ve always wanted to get into wearing wigs, but never had the courage to buy any. I can’t wait to see more videos like this to get a better idea of what might be the best for what I’m looking for!

chloe allwright: Woohoo!!! I miss thriftmas, was excited by the idea of daily vlogs, glad to see you back!

liannangel2004: Beautiful no matter what type of hairstyle or color!❤

Sprinkles 91: yeah i used to cosplay the grudge for halloween, and my wig was a 30" black synthetic heat resist. i used to put baby powder or corn starch in my hands and brush it through from root to tip. dont over use and it will give you a lovely matte look.<3

Kai Rallison: that bright orange wig at 20:28 honestly suits alex the best. it just works really well with her skin. it's a colour that would look harsh and even unnatural on most people but it looks like it could definitely be her natural hair (if she takes the shine down a little on it). it's a really nice length on her too.

Morokei Moon: That second wig is amazing and suits you so much! Rocking it!

Destine’e M: Oh my god that dark brown wig with the bangs was literally MADE for you. when it cut to you after you finished cutting the bangs my jaw actually dropped you looked incredible!

Flausch-O-Mat: I would love to see you sharing all those helpful hints and tricks you will get along your wig journey Or maybe a best of or do's and don'ts at the end of it

Molly McFarlane: 17:30 was anyone else jumping through the screen to brush the hair away from Alex's eye. Love your videos good to see Archie's coming out of his frisky season. Hope your family and life is well.

Captain Pink: Those face framing short layers look so amazing on you I'm literally obsessed

Cat Soho: First tip: look up on youtube tutorials to make synthetic wigs look good (I used Ashley Quiroz tutorial) second tip: aways shake and then brush wigs from the ends to the top third tip: buy wig caps that are your own skintone, it makes everything easier when it comes to wig placement, especially if you have a short forehead and most wigs sit way too tall.

abbey: so weird seeing this after i just got that last orange wig a week ago! it's so cute it has to be my new fav wig! it looks amazing on you as well!!

Karyssa: The long dark brown looks AMAZING on you

Zella: I absolutely love love love your hair!!!! It looks amazing on you, short hair really suits you!

kayla thurmond: I now want an Aussie wig person to style one wig pet category at the end of this series

shamelesslykristen: Depending on the hair density, you can also try changing the parting of the wigs which helps break up that fake looking center part :) I apply wigs with super sticky hair gel but you can also use lash glue or apply a bit of hairspray and let it dry halfway before sticking the wig to your forehead. Once it’s stuck on you’ll be able to mess around with the styling easier

bella undómiel.: You look gorgeous with the long black wig!!! This wig makes me miss my long black hair for the first time in years

Alyson Saracco: Wow that dark brown long wig with bangs looks so good!! It looked great on you & really good in general!

Freyja: Alex you need a couple of things. A wig cap, even with short hair you need one, you want to protect the wig from your hair oils as much as possible. A wig grip head band (arda wig has them), and some silicone based detangler spray to make the wigs brush and lay nicely. I use Mane and Tail detangler, yes it's for horses.

Jenny Bachmann: Awesome video! I am very much looking forward to the next one in this series :) Maybe you could look up videos about how to make cheap wigs look expensive or how to customize a wig to your face and get some tips. I guess with the cheaper wigs, it would be worth trying to improve them without being too afraid to ruin them.

Marianne B: Soaking wigs in fabric softener helps reduce the shine!!! Plus it makes them smell HEAVENLY

Lisa Minnix: Buy wig clips and sew them in. That's what I do to keep mine secure all day, in all kinds of weather and activities. Also use eyebrow mascara to give the wigs a natural shadow root. Dry shampoo takes away the unnatural shine as well. Best of luck!

lillyhatesyou: I am so happy to see archie by your side again!! i missed him so much

Pat Pat: The 2nd one (short pink) is sooooo gorgeous, and looks quite natural. For 15 bucks it's a steal.

icekraze07: Lots of synthetic wig dying tutorials in the cosplay community. I think the most popular is Rit fabric dye. Also the messy hair when Archy went after you actually looked amazing. Might need to try some styling like that. Super cute.

Tashana Gillies: Been here since 2018 and seeing you with the long orange hair again really was a bit surreal ! Also Archie is so funny - once he’s out of his rebellious phase we can time travel back to “the bird stays” era too ❤️ Much luv from QLD

StarOnVenus: Oh I know this one! Plucking is when you take tweezers to the part/root in the wig and pull out hairs in a fast motion to make it look more natural :D

Usuario Claro: The long black one looks AMAZING on you!!

weecoo: i'm barely into the video yet, but i just have to tell you how absolutely STUNNING you look with your short hair like i literally cannot stand how pretty you look with short hair, it's crazy. you look pretty all the time anyways, don't get me wrong - but the short hair is The Moment.

My Nautical Life on Long Island: Every time you wear a dark wig or color your hair dark, I love it. It really suits you.

the frosted donut: Hello Alex For higher quality lace front wigs my go to shop is Trashmama Wigs Also top tips: -Adding or styling some bangs & sometimes layers to the rest of the hair -adding some volume to the top of the wig (they are often a bit flat) -use a powder (baby powder or translucent powder) to help get rid of some of the shine -pluck hairs from the hairline & part using tweezers to make it look more realistic -adding eyeshadow to the roots to add a bit of shadow I use a clothing steamer (handheld) to style my wigs and it works so well! ❣️

Jennifer Sands: I use dry shampoo to take the shine out of my wigs. It sounds silly but I like doing it that way because it gives the hair a shampoo smell. I also have the same short wavy orange wig and I LOVE it!!

Mariko True: My favorite was the natural curly wig (shoulder length) with bangs but in pink. I have recently been having my hair dyed rose gold for the last year, so I am not an unprejudiced voter. Alex is correct the most natural looks (at least in this group) were the ones with bangs. I would love to see anyone's wigs in this series, as I am a wig failure person. I do want to do better, so maybe this series will help. BTW enjoying that, hopefully soon to be viral, new series of "Let Siri Choose My Wig". Is Archie edging out of his male teenage hormones yet? I had hopes before the dive past the head. Be safe...both of you.

harvey53141: The last red one actually looks really good on you! you can try dry shampoo on it to kill some shine or baby powder and you might want to take some thinning scissors to take some of the bulk out. Plucking means you pluck out some hair to destroy the unnaturally perfect hairline often seen on some wigs it makes it more natural looking. There’s some great videos on that on YouTube! Good luck oh btw you can try to stick down the wig with some got2b glued so you can brush it gently you can also find videos on that.

Katyklein: I think overall, all of them look really good for the price especially!!

I am Shade: Dry shampoo helps heaps when trying to dull the shine of a synthetic wig. Also fabric dye works well on synthetic wigs.

Amanda W: I’m totally going to buy that second pink wig

Elis In ForeverLand: I highly recommend wearing wig caps. They help hide your hair/keep it back more and helps the wigs stay more in place, rather than slipping around on your head. In my experience anyway. Btw, that "black" wig looks SO good on you!

Ronja Pettersson: The second wig looks so pretty on you

Sophicals: I remember from my cosplay days that Arda wigs were goals, but I could never afford them. Not sure about now though. Great video as always Alex x

Stephanie Shanonn: ALL the wigs look great on you Alex <3 the long orange one was my favourite tho

steffy oliver: Love the bob styles and fringes most! Sorry I don’t have experience with wigs to share but I have tried various extensions, I found the thicker glossier ones don’t stay in one place and heavier ones give me headaches after wearing too long. Can imagine that could apply with wigs too. Looking forward to more videos and you getting tips and tricks from others, but think the most potential ones would need some trimming to fit better. I really liked the 2nd pink wig and the long dark brown one on you, but last mentioned one’s fringe needs trimming like you said.

Marcy Anne: The long dark brown is so nice! Plucking is taking strands of hair out of the wig to show more scalp making it natural looking. Scalp being the hair net underneath

beauty and a beast: Is archie done with his puberty problems? Feels like he's appearing more in videos again Update, apparently archie is not done

Zosma Videos: For a future episode I'd love to see you review Arda wigs! I've seen some pretty good reviews but the whole studio lights and professionals styling the wigs makes me feel like they might not be all that if you're not a skilled wig person they're a very interesting brand as their wigs range anywhere from 20 on sale to 90 something USD so that's something I'm also interested in

leidibugz: I've been very intrigued by Youvimi wigs, they are so cheap but look so good in pictures!

Captain Pink: And yeah a good combing, some dry shampoo, a small trim sometimes, and also just -handling- it will help. Handle your wigs a lot, hold them and touch them and stroke them (sorry this sounds weird now lol) it helps transfer heat and oils from your skin to the wig and helps it become more natural and worn looking and less like shiny plastic.

aichan25: I sew wig clips in all my wigs so they stay where they are supposed to! Super easy

red voodoo: I'm so tempted to get a wig in a completely different colour to my natural red!

AutumnsDay: I also got my first lace front off Amazon for a reasonably cheap price and it's still one my favorite wigs

Kathy Tattrie: Alex, you are soo beautiful that you look good in all the wigs!! ❤

Curves On The Road: Another idea: once you have a big collection of wigs you can combine 2 or 3 to create interesting hairstyles.

Frigg Zôrg: Loving the black on you! You are super smashing either way, but the black against your light skin with the rosey cheeks reminds me of snowwhite. So incredibly pretty
