Hey guys welcome back to wear wigs with me today. I am wearing up stage by Raquel Welch in the color golden russet. So let's get started up stage is a page haircut that sits right above or even right on your shoulders. To me, it's a very classic professional kind of polished hairstyle. That being said, if you follow me on instagram, this is normally the wig that I grab at 7 a.m. when I am headed out the door to the grocery store. Upstage has a 100 % hand tied cap. It has that gorgeous Raquel Welch lace front a mono top the gray covered ear tabs with the metal stays the covered extended, nape velcro adjusters. This is probably why I grabbed this wig on my way out the door when I just need to get something on and go because it's so comfortable, you put it on it's just no fuss. I can comb it out, put it on go. I know it's gon na stay. Looking like this, you forget that it's even on your head because of this Raquel Welch hand tight cap, it's it's stretchy in light, and you just forget that you're wearing it it's that comfortable. Now these hair fibers there is a lot of chatter about heat, friendly, hair fibers, specifically on up stage. I feel like people, either love it or hate it. I'Ve heard a lot about it, getting clumpy very quick, and I agree now. I'Ve thought a lot about this and because I knew you know, I've been wearing it. Knowing I was going to do this review. Here'S how I feel about that to me up stage the reason that I like it is because I can comb it out, fix it, and I know it's gon na stay that way and part of that is because it clumps. So I don't think in this kind of a style where it's stray, it's in you know sleek. I don't think the clumping bothers me because of the style now on a curly one like editor's pick or simmer. I'Ve heard the same kind of thing with that. Editor'S pick, I don't think it'll bother me because I, like those individual curls on that style, simmer, I don't it so far. It hasn't bothered me. I think I maybe play with my hair, which I don't recommend, but I think that's why the clumping doesn't bother me, because if I start to feel you can kind of feel if it gets clumpy cuz, it kind of feels like a piece gets too heavy like It feels swingy, and then you know your wig is kind of clumping, and so I usually just kind of fluff it, and it goes away now. My job and and the way in my life is a little bit different than most, and I realize that, because I'm not going to a job for eight hours every day and going to meetings and being around people and kneading my hair to look a certain way. All the time for the same people, I see different people. Sometimes I don't see anybody all day, except for my husband. So I get that I have a very more much more relaxed perspective on wigs because I don't expect that kind of level of continuity. In my wigs things that don't bother me may bother somebody that that expects a certain level from their wigs. When I put on upstage like I said, I can comb it down, I like for it to flip up so I'll comb it all out, and then I I like for the bottom to flip up and then I kind of like for this top layer to kind Of puff out around it now I said these were heat friendly. I haven't put any heat on them. I don't even think I've put any product in this wig, because heat friendly fibers are thicker coarser, just kind of heavier fibers, and I like that, because I like volume, if you get a a straight, the problem that I have I have trailers Khloe and I have Raquel Welch's play it straight. Those are synthetic fibers straight, very flat. No permit ease wigs. I struggle with that, because I'm constantly putting contour cream and holding spray trying to get some volume. I, like the heat friendly fibers for that reason, because they're usually on higher price point wigs, I mean what I found. I could be wrong which have very little permit ease, and so in order to get the volume you've got to rely on those hair fibers to help each other out to kind of clump and stack to create that volume, and so, like. I said this is a mono top when it came. This is kind of how it with style this whoopee, bang and parted on this side. But you don't have to you can part this wig on whatever side you want. I'M and I have I've parted it down. The middle now I've noticed when I do part it down the middle one side wants to be puffier than the other feels like it's this one. That would be the case that maybe you could add a little heat to it, or you know I probably would just steam it or even spray a little water on it and then just kind of let it dry and keep working it. I just even though wigs are heat friendly, I'm not confident enough in myself, yet to start styling these and adding heat, I just don't want to mess them up. Like I said, I like the ends to curl up because anytime I calm it down and let it just curl under they just like want to go right into my mouth and I'm not okay with that. So I like to let them curl up and then just kind of let the top part be messy and big. On top, I really like it and it can be. You know I like my wigs up and away from my face and just probably why I'm always so drawn to Raquel Welch wigs because they seem to want to be styled that way, but this one can be a really pretty front, swept or just side sweat bag. You know, I don't know why. I don't stick a mirror like right in front of me, so I can see what I'm doing. I would really help that wouldn't happen, but anyway I don't know if this looks like I have a monitor, but it's not keeping up with me, but you could do aside somewhat bang, it's really pretty. I love the thickness of it. I wonder if that's what bothers people I don't know, I think I love the thickness of it. It will tingle I mean even as short as it is. This Nate gets tangled, especially the way I want to mess it up so get that get a comb. That'S a rat tooth comb rat rat tail and pick those out, though you know well yank them with your hands like I do over and over because that's what ruins these heat defiant woods. I think, and you know I did comb it with this comb. This is one of those wet brushes and I actually bought this to go with my first human hair. When I had the halo Couture extensions in fall, they they're topper, they call a fall. I bought these two comb those out, but then Taz did a video on brushes and so then I went and looked up the best brushes for wigs and basically it said as long as it has metal teeth and then the little rubber tips that it should be Good, but I don't know if this has like too many teeth - I don't know if you guys can see that so I've been real careful, but I have combed this a little bit with this comb. I mean that I just don't want. I don't want it to get caught like that, but it seems to do okay, so I get nervous. So let's just use this end, but I don't want to stab this camp either because I'm used to having wefts so be careful with that too. Okay, let's move on for my hot mess of trying to style this hair. I swear you guys are probably so embarrassed for me like this. Girl does not know how to style, hair and you're right. I don't this length actually is very similar to how I kept my hair when it was thicker okay, so we talked about the cap. Let'S talk about the measurements. Okay, so, like I said it's a page, the front is seven. The sides and back are nine. It says the crown is nine and a half and the nape is six and a half just all around. It'S nine nine be about nine inches because the sides in the back I have a twenty two and half inch head, I'm wearing an average cap. I have a seven and a half inch long face and then two and a half inch neck, sometimes three pins on what I've decided to eat. So that gives you an idea of what it looks like on me and always keep in mind. Even the length measurements and my face measurements aren't the only I mean the most important measurement that you need is a circumference, because it's even how the hair is gon na fall on your head, like I've said over and over again it the same amount of hair Has to fit over my bigger head: if you have a petite head, it's gon na hang a little bit longer, so I have up stage in golden russet and if you watch my editors pick video. That was the first time I had ever seen golden russet. I loved it is gorgeous if you like, glazed strawberry, but it's a little bit too bright a little bit too blonde golden russet is a fabulous kind of darker, more caramel II, color and I'll get some shots outside and then go in Raquelle. Well, just so great about putting the lighter shades right around the face. It'S so flattering and it's so wonderful with wigs cuz. It just hides so much. This just looks so pretty how they put the light around to Fame the phrase fame, fame frame the face, the color codes for golden russet RRL 2925. What I've learned about Raquel Welch colors is that 29 is kind of they're all the reds color code. There'S a lot of different reds and they're blended to make that number 29 and then 25 is kind of their golden blonde color and that's pretty accurate. What this is the glaze strawberry is just the number 29. This adds in more of the blonde. More of the golden which comes across as more of the caramel okay guys. So I talked about the cap and the measurements and the color. My overall feeling about up stage is that I like it. I feel, like I say that about every wig. But honestly, I don't choose wigs to review and which, by the way, hair you wear sent me this wig. They don't just send me whatever wig they want. She asks me what wigs would you want to review? So I am choosing wigs that I know I'm gon na feel comfortable in now, or that I want to try. Upstage is a very comfortable style for me because I always wore my hair short. They you know about this length, so I knew that I was going to like upstage. I just didn't know you know I didn't know about the hair fibers. I did you know. I just want to try it out, and I knew that there is a place for a straight style like this in my wig wardrobe, because I am drawn to so many wigs that are curly, that there are just some days where I just want to grab a Comb comb, it out, put it on and go and that's what this wig is to me. Okay, I mentioned hair, you wear so thank you, hair. You wear for sending the upstage for giving me the opportunity to view this on my channel. I just feel like it's one of those really great styles that are going to fit certain personalities, and so, if you want a style that can be very sleek and polished, and you want to put it on and fix it and then it's gon na stay like That this is that style. If you are more drawn to those lighter hair fibers that are fluffy and floaty and blow with the wind, then this isn't going to be your style. I like it. I like that I can just grab it comb it out. It'S got a super comfortable cap in and that's the other thing for me. I know we're all looking for that perfect wig and I've kind of given up on that, because I like wearing different wigs, and so I'm not just looking for that one wig, but some people are. This - might be perfect for that. One person that wants that perfect wig and it's a sleek professional look. What I was gon na say is: I love the cap. I love the color, I love the style, so if the hair fibers are a little bit aggravating, sometimes if I wish they were a little bit silkier or lighter, I guess I've just chosen that there are so many other things to love about it. That I've chosen not to care about that. I don't mind these hair fibers, I kind of like that. They help each other and give me the volume then I'll put on you know like a Dakota and it's a totally different style. It'S curly and and it's light and fluffy and then I'm like. Oh this is my favorite. This is what I love. I don't love those other hair fibers, but then there's gon na be days where I put this on and oh my god. This is exactly what I want and that's why I have lots of different wigs, because every day I might be in a different mood, the other thing that I kind of thought about when I was like. Well, you know these are all the things that I love, and this is the thing that kind of bothers me. It made me think of the McKenzie by Aesthetica. I love McKenzie, but I don't care for the cap. It'S just an open cab, open, ear, tabs open, extended nape those brought those hook. Adjusters that I don't like it does have a lace front, that's beautiful, but it just has like a extended lace front. It doesn't have a mono part or mono top. It has parties like crazy and mine has permittees that you can see so I've been, but I love the color and I love the style and I feel so beautiful when I put it on that. Suddenly, I'm okay with the rest of that stuff. So that's the kind of thing that you know if you are open to having different styles and different hair fibers, then this is worth a try. I love it. I there's definitely a place for it in my wig wardrobe. I know I keep saying that, but that is what it is and I think it's pretty fabulous if you haven't already hit the subscribe button, do a little chitchat. You know I love talking and comments, and I said this to somebody who commented the other day, like I'm, the one in front of the camera and I'm the one showing this win, but the real education and place where we can learn from each other is down. In those comments, so if you have up stage, let us know what you've done with it or what you think about it. I'Ve never washed my upstage. So if you've washed, your upstage tell us how you did it tell us how it came out. The other thing I'm gon na start doing. Somebody asked me in mind: I'm sorry that I am not remembering everybody's names. Somebody asked me what equipment I use, and so I told her in the comment I am come. I would love to share everything that I use. So I became a Amazon associate, so I'm gon na start putting in all in the description box all the equipment that I use, which it's not that much. It'S not a fancy, but that's the other thing that I want to know. What do I love seeing? What other people use? Let'S just talk about it. I that's the fun of this community on YouTube, is learning and you know being teachers and students of one another. So with that said I'll see you guys thanks. I hope you have a great week and yeah I'll see you next week. Bye

Emma Baxter: I bought Upstage 6 years ago along with many others. This is still my favorite and the only one that I wear with confidence. I did have to cut the back shorter and shorter as the fibers frayed but that's ok, I still love it and I'm going to order another tomorrow.

Eileen Davinroy: Hi Stacy! Thank you for the great review. I just got this one, same color very gently used. It is amazing! The fibers are a little ‘stiff’ reminding me of my Editors Pick. Because it was used, I washed it and it came out beautifully. The color...love! You inspired me to try the strawberry blonde. I appreciate your reviews and the enthusiasm you have for the wig community ♥️♥️♥️

Dianne Welch: Thanks for the great review Stacy! I love the Upstage style! When my hair was thicker, this was my absolute favorite way to style my hair! Can’t wait to get this!

GeorgiaPeach 1970: Oh boy! I jumped in with both feet and ordered Upstage as my first wig after seeing yours and Taz's reviews. It is a beautiful wig. Hope it will hold up well. My complexion is similar to yours and I have Upstage in shaded iced pumpkin spice Later I'd like to go lighter w/a different style .I tried RW SS shaded ginger but seemed a bit too cool Any suggestions?

Kathleen Saunders: I really like your videos. They cover just about everything I wonder about. I’ve been thinking about Upstage, but the price point made me nervous. However, I have wasted money buying wigs that were “good deals” but I never wear. My Editors Pick and Straight Up with Twist are awesome because they do not show their wefts, feel and look amazing real and I always get compliments. You cannot beat Raquel Welsh wigs for their amazing colors. Furthermore, I feel RW heat resistant wigs hold up better than Jon Renau heat resistant wigs. Of course, could just be my experiences.

Suddenly Caprice: Cute! Cute! Cute! I have RW Straight Up With a Twist coming and I think it's this one's little sister. It will be my first mono-top and HD fibers. I think I'm going to like it for all the reasons you shared. Thank you for the time you take to do such a thorough review!

javamom66: Thank you for showing the reds! My natural hair color is very close to R30/28/26. I want to love RW, but so far the caps and fibers just haven’t worked for me. Trying to tame an Editor’s Pick as I watched this video. I have a Jackson and a Finn where some of the permatease is visible in the part. I put some dark brown eyeshadow on those areas, and it really worked! Not dark enough to look rooted, just enough to make the fibers recede. When I wear those wigs, no one believes they are not my real hair. Keep making more great videos for us ginger girls!!

Denise Mangold: I love this wig! I wear it with confidence. Chemo took my hair this wig makes me feel normal again.

Patrice Moran: I have this wig...in RL 29-25. love it...feels like your natural hair and looks every bit like an expensive beautiful wig. It is more of a honey blond with strawberry highlights ...I had tried on light blond wigs in a wig store but they seemed to wash me out.

allykatt1849: Very pretty on you! Thanks for your review! I have her on my wish list!

DBMG NA: Thank you for your thoughtful analysis...I need to consider heat friendly for the reasons you describe. Raquel’s wigs, consistently give me the most satisfaction.

TAZS WIG CLOSET AT WIGSTUDIO1: Love it! Thanks for showing it Stacy! ‍♀️

Deborah Cook: RW is my favored brand too. Best colors, cap and styles for me. I don't mind HD fibers. And their lace fronts are to die for. BTW the lighting in your video is great today. Wig color appears very true, even inside. You do a nice job with your videos and have a very good on camera personality. Oh, and love the red smoke effect across your logo.

Patrice Moran: PS: I have also recently purchased the Gabor Epic wig in Hazelnut...RL8-29 very pretty shorter Bob wig and the Rene of Paris Coco Mochaccino shag wig. I was recently diagnosed with alopecia-areta and although I still have most of my hair....decided to be prepared.

Cindy Terrell: Hi, I was just wondering how your upstage is holding up now that you’ve had it for quite some time and if you cut it? I noticed that you could see right through the front to the back on the right side and was wondering if that was just the way it was laying at the time or because of clumping? New to wigs and I appreciate your tips and reviews

Maranda Rock: I promise a little heat goes a long way. I wear mainly straight styles and mainly Belletress...I was soooo scared. But I used some of JR heat protectant spray and took my flat iron and even the curling iron, those fibers felt like natural hair, and way better volume than when I first received them. I hate “new fibers “ bc they are too soft and hard for me to get any volume. After a couple washes, some JR styling cream and spray, little heat on the ends...I love them!!! They are also HD fibers, and I’m a nurse...my style lasts until I change it with heat. I love HD fibers in straight styles. Curly....I’ve had a hard time. Editors pick was not worth the $ to me”my opinion”. There’s so many great curly styles. I just got Estetica Wynter, went out on a limb. My first of Estetica and shorter curly style. It looked so beautiful on Taz I just couldn’t resist! U definitely look great in mid length wavy/curly styles esp Estetica. I’m just not a big fan of RW. Thank you again for ur reviews, ur personality shines!!!!

DBMG NA: Been wear wigs for 10+ years and I have learned the most from you, awesome , greatful. Thank you.

Deborah Luongo: It is true you truly do a great job in your reviews. And you really care what your viewers think :-) have a great night

Deborah Luongo: Have them wondering about this wig oh, you make it look so beautiful elegant and easy to wear. Again thank you for showing the color outside so important to me. But your review once again you have nailed it very professional honest and loving and straight from the heart.❤

Rosa: I really want to get this one as it comes in a large cap, however I am scared of the HD fibers. I’m too new to wigs.

Kathleen Ryan: Adorable..great review Stacy and interesting perspective on HD fibers. :-)

DBMG NA: I wish Raquel did more with layer colors for the brunettes, especially integrating reds....I just do wear blonds, Carmel’s, etc well.

mattiesful: Upstage is one of my fav wigs. I do hate the heat friendly fibers because they don't last very long. My upstage looks good for about 6 wears, then clumping fibers. It gets a little better with a wash and fabric softener bath. I wear the same color as you (golden russet), it looks stunning on you. Do u know of another wig that is same to Upstage without the HF fibers? I have Kristen by JR and Kristi (which is nothing like Kristen imo). The search for the perfect wig is endless, lol!

Moon Star: Looks great on you ❤️

Texas Outlook: Love your videos, thanks! ~Sidney

Wig Vibes with Chris: I have SIMMER by RW & I’d love to say I even like it, but I can’t I do love the color & lace front, but I just don’t care for this brands HD fibers. BTW, Stacy...I love your energy & upbeat personality...you always make me smile when I watch your reviews

Robb Endicott-Powers: You are really blessed..............not only can you wear 99% of these wigs and rock them style wise..........they look so natural on you.

Cathy Woodill: This is elite of wigsI love mine in Shaded Bisque

Patty Carosi: So pretty she looks so pretty on you!

Dana Buchanan: Love your videos!

M 1996: Great review thanks, is the hand tied cap stretchy? I’ve only ever tried open wefts which do have good give in them, worried this type of cap won’t be the same? Thank you

junbug1029: I have Upstage but the lace front is a killer for my forehead. I have a lot of wig reviews on my channel, too. xoxo Joan

Lynda Keevil: So what you're saying is, there's no permatease, but with a product, you can get volume with it. I'm seriously thinking about getting this wig because I love the look of it.

Denise Itzkowitz: Do you think this would fit a 221/2 circumstance comfortably being a have tied cap?

Anna Berry: I love the volume and it looks great on you. Is the fibre shiny? The hair looks a bit greasy, why? Is it the synthetic or product?

Melinda Baker: I love golden russet.

Moon Star: Where can I buy some of these wigs without spending 5-800 gee love it but prices so high

Diane R-D: Another wig that looks great on you. My fave on you is still wren!! I

mattiesful: Upstage is my favorite wig. But the clumping does bother me because the fibers just stick out when I move my head. I don’t know how to manage it. I have all kinds of spray conditioners n oils. Nothing helps! Any suggestions? I have used heat n it helps for a couple hours, but then just gets clumpy again. After 3-4 wears the frizzing began. u r so adorable. So glad I found ur channel.

Gail Mattingly: Love this wig but does it have enough height to it ? Because it doesn’t have permatease.

Denise Itzkowitz: Do you think the average would be comfortable for a 22 1/2 circumstance

Dianne Welch: Oh the “rat’s tooth” comment had me cracking up! Lol!

BABS Lemonade Life: I have yet to try raquel welch, on my wishlist.

henrietta henson: I like volume to ,l don't like flat ..hair.....I've probably said before I wear toppers @wigs for fun I've always love popping false hair on ...I think this is lovely on you.. you gotta have thick hair ... because I've a hair salon l do find curls,,@ volume is all coming back ...backcombing as well is in again handsome Husband oh I presume it was your husband oops

Jackie Fertik: Hoping you try spotlight by Rw

Cindy Delane: I first subscribed to your site when you began. I back then, said I would have questions and would watch you, and have done so. I am still searching..ugggg, for a wig. I mean, really, I like you, have a 22.5 head circumference and possible on some days i think a 23. Maybe it's the bio hair that's throwing it off. But I can't find a wig that even looks like my own hair. Now what you are showing here in this video looks like me, except I have that fivehead going and need some bangs, and I do like the big hair look. I have to say, today, your wig looks like 3 day old hair, which is a perfect look.. No shine, I cannot stand that, never can I get that right, and I am mostly gray now at 63, no I am gray who am I fooling, but love the light brown with blonde highlights that are rooted, I hear it just take 10 years off my look. I was Auburn for 20 years, my choice cause I loved it. Cost a fortune, but I was working and could afford it. Now, medically I'm down, and with hair loss. So good... I am so proud of you, and hopefully one day I can find that perfect wig, Large or small, I just don't know. Any suggestions????
