Bleaching My Natural Hair | Going From Black To Honey Blonde | Shay Medina

What'S up it's jay and i'm back with another video, so in today's video i'm going to be bleaching, my hair - i don't know if this is going to come out good, but if it does regardless y'all go see it um. So i have some bleach here. This is what i'm going to be using this bleach. Then i have a whole bunch of 20 volume developers. I have this one from clairol and then this one from like the generic beauty supply brand. I don't know, and then i have my toner um, which is the t35. I don't want like a super bright blonde, mainly because of my skin tone. I don't want to be washed out um, but i do want to dye my hair a lot so a little back story um, my hair, as you can see, this part is not black, that is a red hair dye that i've been trying to get out. My hair for years i'll insert a picture somewhere on the screen of me with my red hair. I loved it. You know it was a vibe, but i needed to get out of my hair. So i tried to dye my hair black a whole bunch of times. Um and they just never wanted to come out so yeah. Therefore i have like an ombre in my hair, but like not really because i didn't want it there, but it's there so yeah first things: first, i'm going to section my hair up into four parts. Okay, so now that my hair is in four sections um now i'm going to open this bleacher do i have scissors? Oh i'm going to try and do like one packet at a time. Um again, i only have those two that i showed so i'm new. I'M scared um, i'm actually very nervous, but i'll be okay. So let me put on my glove. I got my gloves all right. Let'S, let's do this, so i wanna um do my ends. Um like i want to focus more on my ends. Try and like get that red color out. I don't know if you can see it but like where is it from like right here from where my finger is at to the ends? That'S all! That'S all red. So i'm just going to take my bleach and i'm going to go ahead and saturate that on the ends and then like work, my way up to the top kind of, but i'm gon na leave my my roots for last. You know, as you should so should i leave that. Let me just keep doing that throughout my hair. Let'S go ahead and bleach it. I'M gon na take my section: um go from the ends, go up as high as i can squeeze things you can find me at my best when i'm naked breath. No regrets cause. I do it like this. Put that behind me keep my diamonds blinding got ta. Keep it swabai, like i'm saturday in the 90s, keep my diamonds blinding keep me swapping. Like that's my yoga to my last breath. No regrets cuz. I do it like it's ruling roll it burn and lose it get that black and wrecking spending legs. I keep it moving put that behind me keep my so you were just like wake up with this. My hair feels healthy today, keep my diamonds, do it like it's doing die you don't know bad man with you and i might give you anything. You want and imma tell me what you want to know. I go give you all that more bad motherfield um put a shower cap on and leave this on for 30 minutes and then i'll be back now after i rinse it out. I'M gon na go to the beauty, supply re, do this side and then then i'll be back with the second bleaching um. That'S where i'll do my roots and stuff: okay, so yeah, okay, okay, guys! So this is my hair after the first bleaching um yeah. It'S look at this, this red. Oh you can't! You see, y'all see these red ends. I'M telling you like, i feel like dyeing your hair red. It'S a vibe. It really is a vibe, but getting it out of your hair is not alive like but yeah. These are my curls. I did um miss this one part in my roots um, so i'm gon na have to go in and do that. Obviously, so i got the clear blue, so i went to the beauty supply and i got the clear blue um now. I know that two packs isn't enough for my hair, but i bought two packs. I don't know so i poured it in here. So it's all in here. I'M gon na use my 20 volume again all right, so i'm gon na go ahead and put a whole bunch of bleach on my end, put a bunch on my ends and then um i'll work. My way like section it, and then i think, okay yeah. That sounds like a good one, so i'm gon na go ahead and put a whole bunch like on my ends and then like do that throughout and then from there. If i find my clips i'll um go ahead and section it better instrumental ryan little, are you ready all right, so this is just after the second bleaching. I still have to tone it, which is what i'm about to do right now. Um, let's show you. This is my hair um, it's it's the red that doesn't want to come out for me on camera. It does not look as bad as it as it is in person on camera. It looks doable, but it's this red just does not want to come out of my hair and i have no more bleach and i'm not going to bleach my hair again. So let's hope that toning, my hair, will actually do something um. It looks so much better on camera child. If my hair look like it does on camera in person, i would not be upset, but like yeah, i could see it's just my hair is very soft, though um i didn't get a lot of shedding. I got like the normal amount of shedding, if not less than what i would have if i would just wash my hair like after having my hair in a bun for a few days, um so yeah, i didn't experience a whole lot of shedding. So that's good, but um you can see like my curls, are definitely not the way that they usually are um, yeah, they're, definitely more elongated and whatever. But my hair is very soft, so i did use purple shampoo to like shampoo, my hair um. So i guess that toned it a little bit but yeah everything is blown. So that's just my scalp right there all right, so i'm just gon na section, my hair again, all right! So again i have the t: 35 um yeah. Let'S see all right and let me use the rest of my developer - i have about that much now, i'm lying. I have this much. I don't know if that's enough, because i know you're supposed to put one bottle of the toner and then two bottles of developer. So it's like a one to two ratio so we'll see. If that's enough, i have two bottles just in case um, but that's the little bit of 20 volume that i have left yeah, that's a little bit of 20 volume. I do have 10 and i was i was looking at developers when i went to the beauty supply and i was just like. I think i have enough. Hopefully i do because all right, so it's one bottle of developer, i do have a lot of hair, so i don't know it's like it's kind of going bad, but it's not all right. So i'm put one two. Oh, it's coming down the side, all right and then there's two all right. I still have so if i need another, so that's the developer just to be safe, i'm going to use that other box and then i do have, even though my hair is thin. Like i have or nothing fine, i do have a lot of it, um so just to be safe and to cut down on me possibly having to wait and mix it again and all that other stuff i'ma. Just oh boy, okay, please be enough! Please be enough! Please be enough baby enough, maybe enough all right, so it's like right here, so i'm gon na take my 10 volume and just mix it. I don't know if you're supposed to mix, but i kind of have to so i'm gon na go ahead and put this toner in and then i'll come back when i finish washing it out. Okay guys so i just finished rinsing out the toner and everything and i love it. I really do um. I love this color like this is the exact color that i wanted and, like i'm happy that my hair isn't like falling out or anything like look at this. Look at this look at this. Oh, my god. I love it, but i'm gon na just leave my hair like this to dry um, i'm gon na go ahead and style it the way i want to um but yeah. I love it. This is this. Is my new hair now so yeah um? I just can't stop looking at it and it's so soft um, but yeah. Oh my gosh, it's so pretty it is so pretty my hair doesn't feel fried or anything it's so soft. It'S so shiny. And, oh, you see that on my way everything is blonde and it's just perfect. So yeah, i'm gon na go ahead and stop touching. It go ahead and put it in two pigtails to let it dry in those pigtails and um go ahead and style it later.
