Must Have Highlighters | Highlighters For Dark Skin

Hallo, so welcome back to my channel. It'S a girl Katrina, also known as princess K, and I am back with another video, so this video is a little different from the norm. I feel like I always come on here into like strictly tutorial type stuff, and I'm like talking like a makeup teacher instructor, whatever you want to call it like just like okay, next we're gon na. Do this and next we're gon na. Do that. So I just wanted to switch it up a little bit on my channel and do something a little different. I feel like I'm always having a big moment when I'm applying highlighter it's in my tutorials, so I decided to do like a favorite Holy Grail, like my fave, like top highlighter, that I'm always using so I'm gon na just go through a couple of them. Maybe like five six, I don't want to be like make this video too long, but just wan na show you guys some of the highlighters that I recommend for girls, my color or even someone just my favorite highlighters in general. So this would be Black Radiance highlighter, and this is in the color. Flawless is very like a golden toned one, I'm really into like golden champagne kind of ones. I try to be careful and not to go with one. That'S too ashy because in it kind of just makes my face, look SuperDuper wide and ugly, but this one is a golden one. So this is what this one looks like. It is really nice and black radiance is sordid sorts like Walgreens, and then they have online. As well, you can order things online and they're really good prices. I think something like this is only like five dollars, so they're super super affordable, and this is kind of like what I was wearing when I first started out doing makeup, I was like you know. I couldn't buy everything, so I was doing like a drugstore stuff. I was working like elf and stuff like that, and black radiance was actually one of the first brands to post me when I started this. So this is one of my like Holy Grail one set. I wear from time to time so the next highlighter that I want to talk about. I actually just recently featured this and one of my tutorials that I did like last week, and this is from a morphe. They just launched like a bunch of new products, and they came out with some highlighters they're in this palette. This is the high five sculpt and shimmer palette. I thing about it is that these highlighters actually come individually, which I didn't know and I actually have them. So if you don't want to go and buy this whole entire, like palette, you can actually buy these individually. So these are some of the individual highlighters. That morphe has these also come in the palette that I mentioned earlier and featured in another tutorial cool thing. You guys can now use code princess for money off your a morphe order, so I'm gon na go ahead and talk about these because I have been using these lately so so this is the Mirage, highlighter and individual packaging. I use this in my last tutorial and I love it like it's just the perfect shade. It'S I don't know it's not too gold. It'S just nice, I'm gon na swatch it to show you guys, but I have been like living for this. I don't know if you guys can see that, and it just looks so good on the skin. I'M gon na kind of like rub it a little. So you can get a better idea because nobody just puts on the damn streak like that. So just want to rub it in so you guys can actually see. Oh look, how pretty that is. It kind of just like melts right into the skin. That looks so good. It'S kind of almost like a natural looking highlight like it's not too intense. It probably looks a little intense on camera, but on my hand, it just looks really really pretty and kind of like it looks really nice like it. Has a nice glow, it's not too much. It'S like just enough, so I've been living for that one lately. That'S my Raj from morphine. They also have another one that I have been liking. I haven't featured it in a tutorial yet, but I have been wearing it. I really see this one has more of like a peachy tone to it, but this is in the color SPARC, I'm gon na swatch that one for you guys to show you so I'm gon na swatch that one for you guys, oh that one's pretty. So this one actually in the pan looks a little peachy. It looks a little peachy, but it's coming off on my skin tone, just a little bit more painting what I'm gon na do the same thing like I did with the other one. You guys can see what that looks like I feel like rubbing it in is a better way of showing the actual swatch for a highlighter, because you don't just like do one streak on your face. You actually like work it into your skin, so you, as you can tell these like, really just like melt into the skin, which is why I've been loving them. Morphe has been coming out with bomb products lately they have just like up their game so much and I'm so happy. So one of my biggest things with like putting on highlighters is it needs to melt into my skin and setting spray is gon na. Do that for you? So, as you guys know, I like rat and rave about this setting spray? Well, it's like a studying mist. It'S the morphe, continuous setting spray. I, like I hated setting sprays before I started using this like setting sprays, was not my thing like uh the mac fix+, it's okay, but I don't really grab for it all the time this right here, because it's a mist - and it just makes me feel so, Like refresh I'm gon na for someone right now, it just makes me feel so good, like I love the morphe setting spray. I love that it's a Miss and it's so lightweight so that when you're spraying yourself, it's not. You know too much so like mixing this with a highlighter. It'S just gon na go right into it. It'S gon na melt into your skin, of like unnatural, like highlighters, that I'm gon na be talking about or like I've at least mentioned them. I'Ve been like, oh my gosh. This is the love of my life like, and they all are, which is why I'm doing this video, of course, so the next highlighter or like diamond glow powder that I'm gon na talk about is the artist Couture and now what I started doing makeup. This was like my Holy Grail. I got it sent to me like on their PR. Listen, they sent me some of their powders and I was just like I'm obsessed. This is when I fell in love with loose pigment. Highlighters like I love them. My like melts. My heart, a highlighter that if I want to be like I'm trying to step out I'm trying to blind y'all, is the and it's so messy right. Now, because that's how much I I go into it, but the fact that it's lasted me this long, it that's! How good their product is like they give you enough to where you only need a little bit of this goes a long way. This is the artist Couture conceded a timing, glow powder. This is my baby. This is my oh, this this this one right here and I'm probably doing about like two other ones, but this highlighter right here. It just does something to me and I love it because on my skin tone it just like it's blinding you, but it's still pretty. It'S not a she it's it's just the right tone of like. Let me see if I can show you it's messy, because I travel with it a lot. I'M gon na try to show you pretty. I don't know if you guys can see, but it's kind of like it is literally like the peach. It'S like the peach on steroids like it's, that it's like pretty like it's kind of like a peachy gold color, and it is just so nice like. I wish. I would have put it on and I haven't been wearing it lately, because I've been wearing lip peach which I'm gon na get into next. So I'm just watching this on my arm, like I'm probably gon na start wearing this again, because it is super pretty and I've actually featured this in a couple of my videos. So if you go back and see, I just love it, because it has like glitter reflex, and I know that can be a lot for people. Sometimes, when you don't especially look like a loose pigment, highlighters they're like they can have glitter in them, and sometimes that's people are scared because the fall out and everything, but this right here with some setting spray spray it on your brush, pick it up. It'S not gon na fall anywhere, it's just so pretty, and even if it does the glitter it's like it just makes you glow even more like it's, not something to be afraid of, but it's so just so pretty like this. This right here out of all the highlighters, I can often struggling to say highlighter, like I've, been struggling to say highlighter in this whole entire time. Every time I say it because I've been saying it so much. I'Ve been like I'm it's turning into an accent. It'S like highlighter and I was like highlighter highlighter highlighter and I don't have an accent at all. I'M from California. I don't have an accent so like it's so weird like I keep saying it because I'm saying it so much, I'm like forming an accent from like. I said it a while ago and I sounded like I was from like Alabama or something I don't know what's happening. So if I start sounding weird and saying this word wrong, I'm sorry but yeah this out of all the highlighters that I'm gon na show. You is definitely like my top like number two like this is this is the and since we're on the topic of artist Couture, I'm gon na go ahead and show y'all one of my other, like dark girl, POC highlighters, that, like everyone, should have. If you are a woman of color, which is the Jackie ina and artist Couture la la' peach, this peachy toned highlighter is my life, like my lights, might be a little bit too light, but I'm gon na swatch it for you guys anyway and there's a big Difference between conceded and the peach conceded definitely has like glitter reflex in it and the peach. Doesn'T it's more just like a shimmer they're all looking the same tone but they're different. I promise it doesn't have as much of a glitter reflect as conceded, but the peach is just super pretty. It definitely stands out on the skin and looks so nice now that I'm like going through all of my favorite highlighters, like I'm, realizing that I have a lot there's a lot going on, and I don't want to make this video like so long but uh. So if anything, I'll probably mention more of my faves down in the description and like links to them, so you guys can see those ones as well. Just in case I don't get to talk about them, but I'm moving on. I wasn't sure if I wanted to feature this highlighter, because I don't know if it's available anymore, it's their Anastasia, Beverly, Hills, peach and nectar illuminator. I recently got my hands on this and definitely like a woman of color brown skin girl, a necessity like it's super. Pretty this one, you might be able to see the pigment in it yeah. It is peach for real, it's so pretty on the skin. This is another one that just melts into your skin. If you are a brown skinned girl and just looks so beautiful, especially when the light hits it it's like killer, it's so nice, but I don't know if you can get any more. I'M sorry! If you can't, maybe you can look somewhere online. You know people like sell things, but that's kind of gross. If you want to use someone else's makeup that they were using. But if you can get your hands on it and or if you have it, I would definitely recommend like digging back into it and wearing it in the summertime, because it is so pretty so obviously you guys can tell I'm into like golden peachy type of highlighters. I just think that they complement my brown skin okay, so this right here, it's probably for this year, my holy grail highlighter - and this is the - are easy and Anastasia, Beverly Hills. Highlighter. Now I wore it in my last video and you got to kind of like comment. I'M like oh, it looks actually like it doesn't look that well, but it's just because my lights are so like in my face BAM, but in person I've actually posted a picture of wearing it. This one right here and it's just so so beautiful now, if any of these highlighters that I mentioned melt into the skin, it is this one like literally use your setting spray use your mist or setting spray before you apply it and work it into the skin And HS, that's the one that just it will block you need to put on your sunglasses when you are wearing this one, because you're gon na be shining for real, like this is and then just the waves, the packaging, I'm not sucker for packaging. As you guys know, so this little wave of fact that they did - and I'm not just saying that, because I was in the campaign or like little tutorial video on Instagram for like no. This is my jam right here. This highlighter, you would think, because it is this shade of a highlighter, it kind of it's more. Like a frost golden color. You would think that for dark-skinned, girls, that it's not cute and it would make you look ashy like you guys, are saying, but it actually doesn't, it fits and melts right into your skin. It looks so so beautiful and so natural and it's kind of like a highlight from within it is a highlight from within. So what kind of looks like it would be so light and it wouldn't look cute at all, and I kind of wish that I was able to demonstrate me putting on highlighters, but I don't wan na be walking around with like 27 different highlighters on my face. Looking like an Instagram tutorial that I have done before, and I don't like those tutorials at all - I don't want to put them all over my face, but this is what this one looks like. Those are my Holy Grail highlighters that you guys see a lot and I often talk about a lot in my videos and often rave about them and act like I worship them, but yeah. I really do love highlighters, i expresed up earlier in the video, so I just want to come on here and show you guys some of the highlighters I wear whatever I recommend for girls, my skin color, but you can always wear whatever you want.
