I was so stubborn with oiling and moisturizing my scalp and hair, even with scalp issues. For years i woke up one day and said it i give up. I started just shampooing and conditioning and boom within a month. My scalp was back to normal. I realized that i had high sebum production that i didn't need any oils i now have peace, and my hair is growing, so wild, listen all of the shortcuts that you guys try to take with all of these hacks actually make you take the long way, trust That exactly where you are is where you're meant to be so, keep your chin up. So your ground doesn't fall. Remember your royalty hey before we get started girl. Why don't you go ahead and subscribe here to my channel and then click on that bell notification? Give this video a thumbs up, so you will be notified every single time. I post another video girl because we get into it now. I am so excited to have this conversation and to speak freely with you. If you are easily offended, then this probably isn't the video for you, because the more intense i get the more excited i get, the more into the science i get, the more intense my voice is going to get so leave. If you sensitive, i have been sucked into the whole do-it-yourself alma federic for hair growth. I now have patches all over my head and i've recently cut a whole lot off. I'M keeping my scalp clean with normal shampoo and using camellia oil on the scalp. Please stop doing that. Your scalp has a natural oil that comes out called sebum and you are blocking that oil from coming out. It is not helping the bald spots, it's making it harder all right. I want you to always remember that you are causing oxidative stress, but we'll talk about that in a second um, now team, keeping it clean and simple. I am hoping i can grow my bald head back to shoulder length in a few years and you will, but you must stop slowing down the hair growth cycle. I know you guys think that you are helping by putting products on the scalp, but you are getting rid of the good bacteria that the scalp needs to strengthen itself. So it can remain anchored. A lot of people like to tell you that the hair shaft is dead, but these are people who know nothing about the human body. The cuticle is made of dead keratin cells, so the outer layer of the hair shaft is dead. But if you look at this picture, i'm starting on my left hand side at the very bottom, this little portion, where you can see this arrow, that is your blood supply and the blood supply is directly connected to the hair shaft. Have you ever noticed like sometimes, if you pull your hair too hard, how there will be a little bub at the end? Well, that bub is connected to the blood supply and the blood supply is what's making sure all of the different bonds and things that live inside of the cortex are thriving and when there is no longer oxygen flow to the hair shaft, it detaches itself from the Follicle but see this is the thing the body is automatically going through a natural hair growth cycle in all ways anyway - and this is what this picture illustrates when i'm telling you guys about the anagen phase, the chemogen phase, the telogen phase and the estrogen phase, the Estrogen phase is just basically a way of saying that the allergen phase is starting over. The anagen phase is the phase where your hair is growing, but you guys, when you are constantly blocking the follicle. You are causing stress to the follicle and cutting off the blood supply when you stress the follicle, your scalp gets stuck in the telogen phase, which is the resting phase, is not growing at all, and if you do too much, you actually make your hair all go Into the candlegen phase, which is the phase where that bulb detaches itself from the blood supply in general - and this is when you will notice your hair coming out in patches, the natural hair growth cycle has been thrown off. I love you, you said period with the capital p i'll, never understand the hostility against free, science-based knowledge, but let's put these money grabbing scammers, who are selling y'all some scented cooking oil. Aka growth, oil up on a pedestal, keep pushing the knowledge queen because i'm definitely here for it and very appreciative of you. Well, i appreciate you even more, and this is what i've been telling you guys forever like. If you go back to videos that i made freaking in 2010, i'm telling you the same thing today as i was telling you then, because the same way that your organs and the way that they're organized don't change need neither does the organization of what's going on In your scalp right, so that's something that i want everybody to understand. These things are not going to change one of the things that people love to say in the comment. Oh, that may work for you, but everybody's different yeah everybody's different to a certain extent, but at the end of the day everybody bleeds red and, at the end of the day before the blood meets oxygen, for everybody is blue, so yeah, every everybody's, different everybody has Different porosity levels, everybody has different densities, everybody has different sebum levels, but for the most part, the basic standard information is the same and by you guys, constantly ignoring the basics. You'Re constantly renewing your your hair growth regimen. None of you, everybody that follows a youtuber. None of you have a youtuber that has been using the same products for the last 10 years since you've been following them. They may use one or two of the same products, but for the most part they're switching they they routine up every year. At this point, olaplex is all the craze. Overplex is one that i stand behind 100. Why the same product formulation olaplex has today is the same product formulation that they had when i first found out about them. When i was in cosmetology school, it has not changed and the changes that they do make. They explain them to you and they tell you why they're making them - and i can count how many changes olaplex has made to their product formulation on one hand, without using half of my fingers all right and another thing that you guys are confused about again. Now that everybody's on the olaplex boat - people don't even know if whether or not olaplex is a protein or a molecule, there's arguments about that now before nobody knew anything about bonds. Now everybody has went from not caring anything about the bonds or their hair. I remember the african god or whatever the hell. His name is he like he was. I was his favorite topic, oh send out in her fake science with the bonds right. So that was what was going on then, but now today, everybody's in the olaplex everybody's into bond reconstruction. But now the new thing is to pin the bond reconstructors against each other, which boundary constructor is better than this bond. Reconstructor. No, don't do that. Products are tools. What you guys need to be focused on is learning your own hair science, and once you know your own hair science, then you go pick products based on your porosity, your density, your sebum level, okay, your skin cell turnover, most people listening to the sound of my Voice can't answer any of those questions, and if you cannot answer what your sebum level is, what your density is where, when, when your skin cell turnover date is, you should not be shopping for products, learn your science. When you learn your science, you can then learn the tools that you need right. Olaplex is not um sent from the heavens to fix every hair problem that anyone has ever had the majority of women that are using olaplex right now and saying that they don't like it are the same women who have not been taking care of their hair. For years, and then they get olaplex and expect olaplex to fix every problem that has been caused by you, co-washing and putting booty, sprinkled, nipple juice in your hair and rice, water and apple, cider, vinegar and aloe, and all of these different things that they're teaching you Guys to do they give you instant gratification, apple, cider, vinegar, they taught you how to put apple cider vinegar in your hair, but they did not tell you the damage that it would cause to the cuticle years down the line. It didn't tell you about all of the microscopic rips and tears that you would get in the hair shaft. You have no idea like. Oh you sound so intense. This is the study of my life. This is what i do. I'Ve been a licensed cosmetologist since i was 19 walked away from that form of cosmetology at 26, but i've never left the field, i'm just deeper into the science of hair right, and so, while you guys are doing all of these different team, natural hacks and things Like that, you guys are causing all of these different types of hair, shaft disorders right now take a screenshot of this and go and research all of these hair shaft disorders. Right now, for yourself and their causes, i am not making this stuff up when i am telling you guys not to do this stuff to your hair. It is for a reason. These are all hair, shaft disorders that you have to see under an electron microscope. So a trichologist most trichologists have the capabilities to see this. You see this first one here that looks like a knot. We love to say single strand knots, single strand knots is a term made up by youtubers, but this is the scientific name for that this. For that scalp, this hair shaft disorder. If you have single strand knots, you have split ends, that's the form of split ends and you have a hair, shaft disorder. There is not a product that is going to fix your single strand knots. This is what single strand knots is known as scientifically i am not making this up. This is caused by over manipulation to the hair shaft. This is caused by not properly setting the hydrogen bond. This is caused by hydrogel fatigue and you constantly open and closing the cuticle and not letting it close or open in a uniform manner. Okay, single strand knots is the name that social media gave it. But again, this is the scientific name for it, and no product will fix it. No product will fix it. Unless you change your regimen good morning. Cynthia i use this hair growth products called the main choice: hair growth. I use the shampoo conditioner and leave-in conditioner and is gel hair growth, grease and hair growth oil products with the nest if this products are made by a white man or or white woman. So first thing: first thing: you need to pick a couple of different products and stick to that you, you need to have a a set plan for your hair. The number one issue that most women have is you shampoo, your hair, and then you try to figure out what you're gon na do with it. No plan ahead. What styles are you gon na have for the week? What styles are you gon na do through the month, be intentional and plan out your hair, the reason that most people don't know what they're doing is because they have no plan whatsoever. You expect somebody on youtube. Somebody a hairstylist somebody else, anybody, but you you, that's, who you have expectancy to give you a routine or to give you a pattern all right. So the first thing i want you to do is figure out what you actually want to do with your hair and then pick a product. But so far, the only thing that i need you to have is a shampoo conditioner and a leave-in conditioner. All right - and the thing is this: you having a black-owned business or it being owned by a white person it being owned by a black person, means absolutely nothing. There are just as many dusty uh black owned hair brands as there are white on hair brands. It is about the science and and the intention of the brand okay like what does it be in a black owned business, have to do with anything some people not gon na like this but uh there. It was not white people that went over there and took black people and put them in slavery. Black people sold black people into slavery. Okay, just because it's a black owned brand does not mean that the it's going to be everything, and just because it's a white owned brand doesn't mean that it's bad olaplex is one of my favorite brands and they are not owned by black people. And yes, i am an associate of olaplex today, but i have been using olaplex since they even knew who i was like, i'm still a groupie every time they send me an email, i'm like, oh, my god, a laplex but stop looking based on. Oh, is this a black owned business? Is this a caucasian business? Who cares? What i need you to do is learn your hair science and when you learn your hair science, you looking at the product formulation what their, what the brand is promising for your hair and to see if whether or not it's going to be what your hair needs. The reason that you're stuck in that is because you're focused on the wrong things. Nobody cares if, whether or not it is a black owned business or a white owned business. Okay like come on. If so, i need all black hair growth products. I don't even grease or oil, my scalp at all. I just put it on my hair and i massage it in my head. I try my best to take care of my hair myself and i am still trying to do the best i can with my hair. Can you please tell me how to take care of my hair? What do i need to do in order to care for my hair? How often should it be? Should i wash my hair, do i need to comb or brush my hair and do it do they have to be soft? Do i need a wide tooth pick comb or not? Please help me out with this. Okay, thanks bye for now and peace out to you. I love you, but i need you to know that you are making this entirely too complicated. All you need is a shampoo conditioner and a leave-in conditioner shampoo, your hair shampoo, with hot water. To make sure you open, the cuticle put the conditioner in there only sit under a dryer. If you need to open the cuticle. Okay sit on the dryer for 15 minutes. If you have low porosity hair, if you have high porosity hair sit under the dryer on cool air right before you rinse it out to lock everything in as much as you can rinse the conditioner out with cold water, because cold water is going to seal. That cuticle then get a leave-in conditioner spray that leave-in conditioner in your hair either blow out your hair. If you blow out your hair, if you're going to flat iron, it then get a heat, protectant spray that heat protectant flat iron wrap it up, leave it alone. If you need some extra moisture, then add a serum no more than three times a week, no more than three times in a week. If you are going to not do the heat route, and you just want to do a twist out - that's fine too! After you spray the leave-in conditioner, instead of you blow-drying, what you're going to do do a flat twist do a twist out or something but do not walk around and just let all of those hundreds and thousands of strands dry whenever they feel like it sit under A hooded dryer, and so the hair is dry once the hair is dry, separate your curls with the serum, not an oil, avoid the scalp, and then you are done re-twist your hair. Every night before you go to bed sleep in a silk or satin, bonnet or wrap if you are wearing your hair straight wrap your hair every night before you go to bed with the silk or satin, wrap unwrap it in the morning and then shampoo, your hair. At least once every two weeks, once a week whenever you start to feel burning or itching in the scalp, that is your follicles way of letting you know that. There'S too much bacteria on the scalp, when there's too much bacteria on the scalp, your body will tell you burning and itching in the scalp. All of a sudden is your body, sending you a signal saying, there's too much bacteria on me: get it off, don't ignore it. You going and getting the oil or a butter is just adding more fuel to the fire. If your scalp is itching again, your body is trying to give you a signal that is time to cleanse. So you adding more product and more oil is just going to block the follicle more it is all you're doing is feeding whatever. The bacteria is because remember that the fat and the yeast that lives on the scalp love fat. So let's say your scalp is super itchy, you, a person that is gon na, go, follow it up with some some coconut oil, coconut oil is fat and the yeast that lives in the follicle loves fat. So when you put coconut oil on the scalp, you are literally feeding the bacteria that lives on the scalp and allowing it to grow even larger. This is why it is so important to just keep the scalp clean. We complain about the brand uh uh playing y'all. The brands are not playing y'all y'all playing yourselves, because y'all will not research, the human body. You won't. You see this little part right here, this little thing to look like a nipple at the bottom. That is the blood supply that is representing the blood supply whenever the blood supply is attached to the hairs follicle in the anagen phase. This is where the hair is growing, and you see this other tube on the side. This is the sebaceous gland. Do you see this? The sebaceous gland is the gland that is helping your body to produce oil. You do not need to oil, the scalp. I know some people love to make the comment like. Oh you sound so intense. Why do you sound so mad and frustrated? Because i am, i have been saying all of this and trying to prevent everybody from getting into this situation in the double digits of years. Most people don't want to repeat their stuff one time. How would you feel repeating yourself and trying to help people for 10 years 10 plus years and people are like low-key mad at you from trying to help? And this is the thing i get so intense, not because people talking crap but because i really care like. I really really really care. I really care so much and like to constantly have all of these one-on-one consultations, and every last woman has the same exact issue. I have to show you this look under the early telogen right. Look at the very very bottom at the arrow, where it's pointing or the line where it's pointing to the sebaceous gland and pay attention to where the sebaceous gland is. This sebaceous gland is right on the side and where is the opening of the sebaceous gland? The opening of the sebaceous gland is directly on the scalp. The oil that is produced in this gland has a pathway that leads directly to the scalp to go across the hair, shaft and the scalp. If you are a person that is in my comment, section still trying to argue about the fact that the black woman still needs oil for her scalp, you are not arguing with me you're arguing with the creator. That'S who you're arguing with not me. If you telling me that i'm wrong and the human body, or that the black woman still needs to grease her scalp with blue magic oil or whatever, i don't give a damn what your grandma was doing, i don't care what your grandma was doing. If you are sitting here telling me that the black woman still needs to oil, her scalp, as you are looking at this, this is exactly how your scalp looks under an electron microscope. If they go deep into your body and they put not an electron microscope, if they go deep within your follicle and put a camera there, this is what they will see. The sebaceous gland the sebaceous gland is pointing directly to the scalp. There is oil called sebum created in this gland and it goes directly to the scalp, but if you put petroleum or blue magic on the scalp, it goes directly into this pocket. So if there is a a commonogenic, oil cometogenic means that it blocks the follicle that it blocks the pores right. So if this cometogenic butter is blocking this, it's filling all of this up. It'S filling everything here up this sebaceous gland, this oil. It can't come out through the scalp because you're coating it so then whatever is in here. Do you see all it? Is the hair shaft inside of the hair matrix all of this you're filling this up with product? This your scalp does not need to be filled with product. You need to put those nutrients inside of the body because everything is going off in the blood supply. It is your blood supply that is looking at it. Look at your hair in the candlegen phase. It'S detaching itself from the blood supply and then it reattaches in early telogen, and then it leaves out that hair that has detached it leaves out throughout the early telogen aka estrogen phase. That'S how it goes. Why are we still arguing about if whether or not black women have oil on their scalp? Why are we still arguing about if, whether or not you should grease your scalp humor me, stop greasing your scalp, stop putting oil on your scalp in any way, shape or form? And let's see what's going to happen because when you're blocking the scalp, what you are doing is making your cells on your scalp attack themselves on the scalp, and then you get oxidative stress because you have the normal cell here right! That'S how things are normally looking on the scalp, but whenever you have free radicals and when we're talking about cells, i'm talking about the cells that live in the follicle. That'S what we're talking about the cells that live within the hair follicle, so within the hair follicle on the scalp, you have good and bad bacteria, but by you constantly blocking the scalp with oil that doesn't allow anything to escape right and by you, not washing the Hair, you are blocking all of the bacterias and the free radicals you're blocking all of that in and you're feeding it with additional oil and protein like coconut oil, so the normal cells gets attacked by free radicals, and these free radicals end up eating the cells in The hair shaft alive and once they're getting eaten alive. They then become involved in oxidative, stress and the more stress these cells begin to get and when we're talking about cells, i'm talking about the cells that live within the hair follicle. The cells that are attached to your hair, follicle, okay, when you get oxidative stress those cells get so stressed out, and then they detach their cells from the blood supply. And then you have bald spots in your head. That is what's happening if y'all stop if y'all start shampooing the scalp stop putting all of these random homemade products that y'all are not educated enough to produce stop doing all of this extra stuff to your hair, i guarantee you. Your hair will turn around almost overnight detox the scalp and get a real hair regimen. This simple and i guarantee you your scalp - will be different over night. Imma read it again. I was so stubborn with oiling and moisturizing my scalp and had that even with scalp issues for years, i woke up one day and said, and i give up, i started just shampooing and conditioning and boom within a month. My scalp was back to normal. I realized that i have high sebum production that i didn't need any oils i now have peace and my hair is growing so wild. I am not trying to make anything up, i'm not trying to be your beethoven other block, or nothing like that. I want you to know that all of the problems that you have all of the burning, the tingling, the itching all of the balding, the shedding cerbery dermatitis scalp psoriasis. All of that can all be stopped. If y'all stop griezing your scalp just stop stop it just hear me out just try it because the thing is the stuff that you're doing now isn't working, it's not working. So all that could happen if mine doesn't work is for you to constantly be in the same spot that you air now, but i'll tell you one thing you trying my method will not put you into anything but remission and the proof is in the pudding, make Sure you guys check out my seven day. Challenge link is in the description box below, and i can promise you if you have been feeling like this, give me seven days within my seven day challenge, which is only thirty five dollars. One time give me seven days in my seven day challenge following everything exactly the way i say and keep doing my seven day challenge for a month, and i guarantee you, your scalp issues will be gone for 35 dollars, one time or just simply do the things That i've been saying in this video is simple, but with my seven day challenge i just hold your hand the entire way through. But if you don't need your hand, hold your, if you don't need any extra help, do it yourself? You don't need me, you got it, let's go well. You may need me a little bit seven day, challenge link in the description box below trust that exactly where you are is where you're meant to be so, keep your chin up. So your ground doesn't fall. Remember your royalty

curliefro: This makes sense scientifically. I have stopped oiling my scalp for the last 4-6 weeks. Then I realized my scalp is not dry & produces its own oil. I have had to get out of habit passed down from generations. Now I only use light oil (2-3 drops) on my mid shaft to ends 1-2 times a week

Angela Lee: I knew you were the real deal because you were teaching the same thing the cosmetologist who taught me how to take care of my hair in the 80’s. I had a relaxer then, I thought taking care of natural hair was completely different. I went natural in 2010, without a big chop. I did the research, went though the trends. Then I found you and another licensed cosmetologist/teacher and I came back to the basic science. Products & tools are part of it but understanding the science is key. Your hair & scalp will be healthy and healthy hair will grow and retain length .

Trudy-Ann Harty: listen… your channel is a godsend. you have literally saved my hair. i went through the cycle of trying a bunch of new and different products, pills, potions and all type of witches’ brews with no success. my scalp still had issues and no matter what i did my hair was still dry with clumps of hair falling out on wash days no matter what i did. after watching your vids, i threw out the myriad of products. now, i wash my hair weekly. i use only a few things. whereas Olaplex wasnt working for me before (due to all the extraness i was doing with oils and heavy butters), it is now. and all my scalp issues completely and literally went away after 2 weeks. my hair is no longer dry. i do scientific brushing once a week and i can see and feel exactly what you’re talking about with the sebum traveling down the hair shaft. i don’t find the need to oil or grease my scalp. it’s been a couple of months and my hair and scalp is flourishing and the growth is insane. every thing you have been saying is absolute FACTS and it works. i cannot thank you enough.

Arewa hair care TV: Girl i promise you when you leave that scalp alone you won't regret. Only cyn can make an almost half hour feel like 5 minutes. I'm so glad i found this channel. ❤ thank you cyn.

Ant: Thank you Cyn! Always spitting facts! But I have a question: how often should you deep condition low porosity hair? I have low porosity hair but should I do it every wash day or no?

Reservechic: You always break things down perfectly, Cyn! GREAT JOB ✌✌✌✌✌✌✌✌✌

Sapphire Relaxed Hair: Great video! My sebum Production is not high, but it's there, I do shampoo bi-weekly and deep condition every month. I just add Jojoba oil on the ends of my hair. I only use 2 oils I mentioned 1 and the other is Macadamia oil. Thank you kindly God-bless you

Angela Lee: Sherri needs to book private lessons. My cousin (50+yrs old) was like her, she never did her own hair before the pandemic. She always went to the salon. I had to go with her to buy brushes and combs. I had to set a schedule and tell her what products to order. She’s back to the salon now but she can wash, condition , dry and style her hair if needed.

gmcmim1: You are appreciated. Love the knowledge you share. Ever since I stopped oiling my scalp hair has been growing and I notice that when I use the wooden comb my hair feels soft from the natural oils the scalp produces. THANK YOU!

Kristen Webb: This makes so much sense! Thank you for this.

Ms Ms: I remember you were the first person I heard speak about the hair bonds and porosity. I remember that "guy" I won't mention his name, gunning for you. Also I have noted the ones that are doing all the hair masks etc. are now cutting off their hair like you said they would.

Lade E: Hello Somebody!! You preach and teach those actually factuals every words you spit!! Thank you Goddess! Reach one teach one!

L T: I'm so grateful that I found this channel, may God continue to bless you.

M. Davis: Your videos are soo helpful, thank you!

Goa Way: What is the difference between a serum and a oil? Oh, and what is a good serum? You mentioned in another video that you need serum for the hair to do a silk press...is that correct?

The Alston Family: This helped me soooo much thank you love ❤️

charlie: Putting an excessive amount of oil or grease on your hair or scalp is unnecessary. Who wants all that grease on your pillow case . You're supposed to use these products very very very lightly

𝐒𝐮𝐫𝐲𝐚𝐒𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐧: FRIENDSHIP A TRUE FRIEND knows your weaknesses your STRENGTHS but shows YOU your feels your fears but FORTIFIES your FAITH; Sees your anxieties **but frees your SPIRIT, recognizes your disabilities but 2 emphasizes your POSSIBILITIES.

Esi Mensah48: I left rice water in my fridge for like 3 days and there was white reside at the bottom of the bowl , that’s really when I knew I was on the right path in not using it

PM Tarot: You told me to stop oiling my scalp so I will. I’m finding it dry if I don’t though. Will that correct itself in time?

Phylicia Smith: Let's talk about it. I love it

mister don: so where did you get the derma roller and crystal? I dont see it in your storefront.

Beach Waves: 13:24 FACTS!

Horace Henderson: I need this video

M Jackson: What's a good shampoo ?

Meka Richardson: Green beauty use the same products
