This video will show you how to cut the ear tabs off your wig. This technique is perfect to use if your head is a bit petite and the wig is rubbing on your ears, or if the wig is just too large for you.

Hi, I'm Danielle with Godiva secret wigs today. I want to show you how to cut the ear tabs off of your wig. So for some of you, if your heads a little bit more petite, you may find that these ear tabs and the insides of the wig are going to be resting on your ears or hitting them, and it may start to hurt your ears. So for that you can simply cut the ear tabs off, so I want to show you how to do that. So first, you want to take your Wiggin inside-out it and sew the ear tabs. If here's the front of the wig, the ear tabs are going to be here on the sides and you'll notice, they're a little bit harder, they have a little piece of metal in them. So these little guys right here kind of like a so. What you want to do is take your scissors and you're simply gon na start. So you can see here. This is where the elastic is gon na, go right to the side of the elastic. So right about here, I'm just gon na literally cut straight up kind of at a diagonal. Just till you get to this top part right. There you're, literally cutting it right off. So what you end up with is this you'll see you're just missing most of the ear tab and when you fold it over, you can see it's still completely fine. You are gon na cut off some hair, just showing you so just be careful. If it's a really really short wig, you may want to be careful. How much of this you cut? You mean when I just cut the bottom, but for a wig like this, that has a lot of hair coming over. I'M just cutting the whole thing all the way till almost the top, and you would just go ahead and do the same thing on the other side, and that will just make it so that those ear tabs are not rubbing on your ears.
