So that this videos going to be to show you how I make a full way and what I do first, if I make sure I pick my hair and to brace very tightly, I have my braids going pretty much bags and they're very thin tightly knit, and I have my leave out here around the perimeter and then what I use is this cap here, this dome cap and you when you're also like an eyeliner pencil, something like that. You can clearly see against the black of this cap, so these cats are pretty large. So you do end up cutting off some of the material based off the size of your head, and this is what it looks like it's pretty thick and sturdy. Now you can use either. You can also use like a weaving cap, but you want to get something sturdy like right now. I have just a regular cap on my hand. I don't recommend using these, because these are very thin and they looked here. What'S the sewing now, these are great. If you're doing a a glue way, if you're not going to glue it, I wouldn't use this, but anyway I just took this cap on my head. I want to measure where I want to have everything sitting. Okay, so I can clearly see my braids here, which is going to be where I want my wig to start pretty much. So this is my leave out and my braids. So am I like to sit right here now? I want to mark this area here and I'm right there with this eyeliner, so I know where I want it to stop now. What you also want to do is keep in mind your ears, because a lot of times leave the cap too big and you sort of track right up to it and when you go to put it on, your ears are going to be. Your cap is going to be covering your ears, there's going to be sort of hard to sew it on. You would have excess cap and extract over here, and it's not going to be comfortable. So what I do is I trace all around and then my ears right here. I can fill it so just until what you hear is that and then start marking around this mark it down cuz. This is, let me cut off first XS right here, my in the back of my brain. Stop here, sorry and I'm going to cutting off all of this. All this is going to become I'm not even worried about that so, but I just want to mark it all around so that, as you can see, I've gone ahead and picked the right to directing on the manikin now. What I have here is my closure. This is from base closures, calm, I'm, but we're going to do is pick the closure at that line like that and then sew it around the perimeter. As you can see, it's sort of like a u-shape, so once that's down you'll flip the hair to the side and begin sewing it to the cap. Almost all the way around and then I'll come over to the side and start sewing it around making sure it stays tight to the cap. If not it's going to lift and be bulky in the middle, it won't look natural. So I'm going to go ahead and start a song, you don't you guys see what that looks like, so I have to decide the closure slow down. So what I want to do is go ahead and get this other side slow down. So you guys pretty much see how it's done, but the only difference is when I saw this side down, I'm going to be pulling it to make sure it lays down flat. Otherwise, if I kept doing this, when I do it's going to be rising up in the middle here, it's gon na have a hump, so I have to lay it down and then sell it. So guys never have the closure sewn on what I do next I'll. Take one left of hair - and this is gon na - be my base like the perimeter of my hairline here. What I do is I sold around the whole head and so that way, when the wind blows, you don't see tracks like this. You know there's just one track: it goes all the way to the top where the closure is that, so I thought around including the ear line, and it goes all the way to the front of the cap here. So I'm going to start it on slowing that down. So with this wet, I did actually sew through it when I first put it in and then the Rays are not at the end of the thread, but I just pick the needle through the weft. I'M just going to put it right here in the beginning where the closure is that let's stick it through and making sure that a mindful of the lines that I have here, I stick up. Stick it through the web again to get it to stay in place. Very securely, without it loosening or falling out, tell me what I do when I sew it on when I first fit into place. I do so through the web, but when I start fitting it around the cap, I don't sew through the weapon. So I get to the end of it and I close it off so right now, I'm just going to sew around the web. I go through the cap under the West and I pull the thread over to make sure I'm securing the weft into place. Like I said, I'm not so intuitive life right now. If you don't want to sell all the way through the rough all the way around, unless you want to call the lighting shedding, you don't want a lot of shedding with your wet what you can do. I don't have any pins with me, but you can stick pins into your web and keep it in place and they can faster for sewing it around. So, like I said it's through the cap under the weft and then pulling it over. So there's already have the perimeter sold around the cat it under picking my West. Here, I'm not cutting them. I took the two ends. I folded it together. I put the needle into the West. I'M just going to drag it up into place here. Hope you guys. Can see that I'm going to be putting it right here for dragging it all the way up, so I'm going to drive these tracks all the way around get them into place, and then once I have them at the end here by the closure, I want to Stick a needle here into the web to keep them into place to make some sewing easier, just keeps it flat. So I can go ahead and start sewing the noise a lot quicker and getting into doing that through the cap underneath the weft and then over the web. We don't want to smoke through the weft, so underneath pull the thread over make sure you keep those webs close together. So there's no separation and no bumps and make sure it's really tight. When I pull that thread so I know it, let me be secured to the cab through the cat underneath the weft and pull that string through and pull it tight sure the way. Besides, I have that track zone down here around the perimeter. It'S all the way to the side. Now what we want to do. Click like I said I don't want to cut my tracks. So what I want to do is take the hair and if you didn't see it still, so it's still together, I'm going to take it, pull it taut. You weren't really tight, I'm going to raise it up a little bit higher so right now the line is here I'm going to raise up to about here and then drag that around and then kind of into place right here and continue sewing it on it. I'M going to keep doing it back and forth and then we'll start laying the tracks like this. Now, when I saw it like this, what I like to do is I'll take, because I want this to be. I don't want to hump here whether you fold the track over, so when I raise it up a little bit higher. I take my needle and stick it right through the West to secure it into place right here, and this will flatten it down into place. So it won't lift and did I start sewing it into place so screw the track right here to secure it into place. It didn't get a game of our stop doing that under and over under and over we're not going to sew through the track all the way around. Only in this one spot to secure it we're gon na do some of the same technique. Just with the second left is still folded in half I'm still going to pick the needle through the weft touchy anchor it in place. I'M still gon na go ahead and wrap this around. This should go around the hand twice. Let me show you this, what I'm doing here so, as you can see, I have it laid down like that. I'M doing like this because I want to get as much hair on here as possible. With me, two bundles of hair is just not enough. That'S gon na be too thin. I, like my hair, to be really full now, if you don't like your hair to be overly full, then you can definitely work with just two but on two bundles but anyway. So I have that one here I just put a pin here. You can see how much left I have left here, so I have it wrapped around I'm just going to take it and then pull it. A little bit higher it'll be stable. It right here to the cap and then I'm going to sew it around again to close up the hair, so it would be like this once I get done sewing it. I want you guys to see that, because I'm not going to record that so can be just like this. My kids are showing it and we're going to have this opening here. On top now, once I get up there to the top, I'm just going to take some spray wax that I have I'm going to be folding them in half and just laying them across, and so I close it up. But I get around the closure and of course I will show you guys what I mean once I get to that so guys I have the second website on. I may read around about two and a half times. This is the half time it you see in here, and so I just want you to park closed up and, like I was family, is going to be sewing, what's going straight across until it gets up to the top here, and then I, on the wrist, bring The bottom west across, but there's not much more to it than that, so just to show you I'll have the West and then I just take it across. I just keep going up and up and up and up until this part is closed off, and it will look like that and I'll be able to lay the closure down and comment back. So, as I have the top of this done now, we're in zips doing with circulant the closure here just to credit, it closed that's as close as possible. I am out of here so luckily I had enough hair to do the whole way, but that's the top of it. So I took the parts of closure and comb it down over top of the hair to make sure it lays correctly, but it's very flat. I don't have any, I don't feel any bumps or anything in there. So that's great, hopefully at fifth grade as well, but let's make it disclosure comb down and see how it's going to look. They have the wig done. I haven't cut the cap off, yet you can see that it is definitely in place where I wanted that I can fill my braids here, which is where I would be sewing it on. I think we're going to do it this one. It actually puts a wig colors on it, so I can take it off and moisturize my hair as much as I need um, but it does fit. There was my leave out and I can pull it forward more if I want to anyway. So what we're going to be doing is just cutting off the excess cap. If you don't want to do it that way, you can definitely feel free to tuck it underneath and sew it into place like so. Your weight into place are actually so the cap to the cab, so what I've done is I've picked clip on the two front sides by the closure. Like I said, I said, keep the cap on. I just fold it under and fold it into place and just keep that one critiquing, the future that could come in handy and what I did is I made sure that the cat was behind the closure. So that way, it's not popping on in front of it. Cuz that would look really really bad, but I just picked two clips on the side here. Um I was going to get one dollar here, I'm not sure just yet, because this elastic really helps keep the cap one in place back there. So I'm not sure if I'm gon na put one back there or not, but it just looks like that. I just don't know the same thing. I use actually sold the webs to the cat, so this kind of looks so far and it's on very securely. I have no fear body going anywhere. I shall look so fast, so then I just want to get it styled. So then, what I want to do is I want to show you how this thing works. I think it's absolutely amazing, but if you just take the hair and scrunch it and just wrap it around, you get a wave curl and if you keep the hair flat and you're wrapping it like keep it flat and wrap it around very slowly and neatly, then You'Re gon na get this kind of girl. Then these curls are amazing in a last all friggin day. I just love this thing so much I'm making vision. We continue growing. My hair, I'm just gon na, be doing a mix of both. I can get a really texturized look for my hair, Oh troll, just gorgeous. Oh, I just love them so much anyways. I have my hair curl. I just want to get my closure curl all right, why my bangs are cooling the set into place. I just when I separate your curls down here and so don't look so the uniform and boring I just take them apart. Let'S grab one and pull it apart. I'M sorry about my lighting like right now, it's like really cloudy outside and the lighting is not working for me, but you can still see my hair. You can still see what I'm doing, which is the most important slide, but English. I have that done now. Just use a little bit of my Oregon oil, it's like a drop of it in my home, let's prep that to my hair, you already go by this computer. You know what your hair looking greasy and nasty, but you do want to have it so that this controls, any type of static or or any flyaways that you may have make is right here that that glow without looking grease so guys. I hope this video was helpful for you. I do appreciate you watching. If you have any questions, please feel free to leave them down below and I will get back to you.

TheCryptoQueen: This was one of the best tutorials for making a wig I've seen. Thank you so much!!!

StyledByShakira: This is such a brilliant wig making technique. I really love the way you incorporated the wig clips into the cap and blending method looks very realistic. Adding to my favorites Sis!

rose kemp: I really appreciate this information! I am making my own wig today. I'll be following your video step-by-step until finished. Feeling pretty confident that it'll turn out amazing!

Rmon: I love how you explained it thoroughly thank you so much! I'm a new mom and I can't afford to pay to get my hair done at salons. I have too many responsibilities. Thank you. I'm going to attempt to make this

Carolyn Gamble: Thanks for sharing!  Very detailed and you did a great job! :)   You have inspired me to make my own wig. :) FYI, I recently saw wig making caps at a beauty supply store in my area (including the u-shape part) and that look somewhat similar to the ones inside of a whole wig!  Using this type of cap will allow your scalp to breathe and you can attach bobby pins if needed. I can't remember the name of the company. Google "Wig Making Caps" and then select images and you can see what I am referring to.  They are not the all fishnet type nor the stretchy cap one. These are different. The wig making caps (I saw in that beauty supply I was in) were only about $3 - $4.  Have a great day!

Musicology: Yeeessss!! Finally a video that actually explains and recommends things clearly. I am totally going to make me a wig and possibly try some of those products. I loved how it turned out and you are very beautiful!

Jodie April Mae: Much appreciated.... this is really detailed..even down to flat iron techniques for finishing!!!! The closure is da bomb ...as it were and the explanation of what part of the weft is sown is brilliant. i misunderstood never having done it before..so sewed through the weft all the way and kept tightening the caps!!!! Of course the most important bit is getting the foundation right..ie placement of cap, closure and first weft... the rest flows from that big thank you from the UK!!!!

kelly Zemlicka: So pretty! Looks so very comfortable. You truly have a gift for teaching! I was wondering if a black cap would work for lighter scalps with hair in the 4 or 5 range? Did you also bleach the part? and what kind of thread did you use? I am in awe, by the way....but it looks so much more comfortable than my amore' wig.

getitg44: this was a very informative, detailed video. Thanks for sharing. i usually use clip ins but i want to try this method in a way where I could still wear my hair up in a ponytail without having to constantly put in the individual tracks. I will give this method a try!
