Hey welcome back to Teslas wood closet at week Studio One today, I'm going to show you a classic design by John Renault. This is Kristen in the color Palm Springs blonde FS, seventeen 101's 18. We'Re going to be doing some comparisons today, plus some outside looks coming up. So not only is this a classic in the John Renault line, I think the style is also just a really classic classy Bob style cut. It'S timeless. It never seems to go out of style, we're looking at about a seven and a half inch fringe area here, and I think that's really why this is so universally flattering. This style looks great on everybody. I'Ve seen it on, but that seven and a half inch layer just goes to frame the face so nicely it kind of gives it a little bit of a modern Flair reduces some of the bulk around the sides from the old traditional heavier bob style cuts. So in the back that you're looking at about 13 inches from the crown to the tip of the hair in the back now, there is a three and a half inch undercut nape here as well. That really gives you some amazing coverage and a lot of styling flexibility. There'S about a seven and a half inch layer here on the sides and Kristen has a hand tied lace front and is open top sides and back. Let'S take a look at the lace front. So I think this is really well done now on this color. The routing is not terribly dark and based on the fine fibers, it looks very, very nice. So while I'm up here, let's take a close-up look at this Palm Springs blonde. This was released in 2018. They'Re in their California blonds collection, FS, 17. 101'S. 18. It'S a combination of some ash blonds, actually some purl kind of white in there as well, and all of that is on a dark ash blonde root. So I think you can really tell that Kristen has some beautiful, fine fibers here. These fibers are like a very fine silk very silky soft separated, John Renault fiber feels amazing. I think they've done a great job in improving their fiber over the years now, based on Kristen being a classic Bob cut. You'Re gon na see a lot of hair on Kristen. It'S not too too overdone, though I mean it's not too thick as if to look unnatural, it's just thick enough to get that classic look and that salon fresh kind of cut, so these raisered ends kind of feather in again around the face making it super flattering. So Kristen has a lot of permit ease. Now you can really put it to work for you, though, right out of the box you're going to see where that part is kind of in a weave pattern, and it's stuck down into the permit. Tease you're gon na have to shake out the wing really well, if you plan to keep the style shake the wig out really well and then get in with a wide tooth comb and just sort of spring those fibers up away from that bed of Proteas. That'S going to create some very flattering volume on the top, and I think I think when it comes it's kind of once two part a little bit left of center, but of course with an open top. You can part it wherever you like. I parted it here on the left, which I normally do, and then I took the heat of my hands with the heel of my hands. I redirection the route to bring the hair up and away from the face, so I did not use any product or anything in this hair. Just simple heat from my hand, the root is the key to making your hair fiber. Do what you want it to do, because whatever direction that route is in is where the rest of the shaft is going to follow quite a bit of permit cheese on Kristen, you can get some volume. So if you like, a bigger, more rounded look, I think you can achieve that, but also, if you want more of a soup subdued style, I think it would be very easy to use the same heat from those hands to get in there and just compress that Permit ease a little bit to to really narrow the style, make it a little bit of a slimmer profile around the face and the head. So Kristen weighs about three point: seven: five ounces and this cap, it's true to average. I did not make any adjustments to the cap, but just slightly loose, I think I'll go ahead and make a small adjustment for a petite average circumference. There does seem to be a little bit of stretch here, but I wouldn't go so far as to say that it would fit a large circumference. So, like I'm John right now, Christie in the color 22 f/16 blonde brownie, which is not a rooted blonde. And I want to do a couple of comparisons. I want to compare the two styles because again I'm drawing the conclusion that the Christie is just a a luxurious hand, tied version of Kristin and they can definitely be sister styles, so you could keep one for good and one for every day with probably it would Go unnoticed so, let's take a look first of all at these colors, the 22 f16 is the dark ash blonde, with some lighter ash blonde highlighting. So it's a very ashy tone color. I don't see any gold in this color and it is not rooted, but next to the Palm Springs blonde, which is an ashy based tone with some white and as she root the Palm Springs. Blonde ash actually is a lot cooler in tone than the 22 f-16. Before the Palm Springs blonde, the 22 f-16 was really the coolest and lightest blonde tone in that genre, no line so Christie and Kristin both feature that same front piece here at about seven and a half inches. Now the layering is only slightly different between the two you're gon na get a bigger, more fuller, rounder, look out of the Christie versus the Kristin. Now Christie is completely hand tied with the lace front and monofilament top, whereas Kristen just has the lace front and then is open top sides and back so again I think you're going to be able to get maybe a little more lift out of the Kristen. Because of the permit ease there on at the top, so here I am wearing the Christie completely hand tied, and you can already see the layering hits just a little bit differently around the face, giving it a more of a classic round. Look on the sides, but all in all, it's very very similar. It'S bouncy its swingy, but it doesn't have the razored. The more modern tapered ends and raisered ends that the Kristen does. So. Did you like this comparison? I have one more comparison to make. If you go over to the wig studio one channel today, i have up a video on the genre knows kristen, and we do compare that to the remai of Paris's kai. I think there's two really distinct type of we wears even though they're, both sleek short bob style cuts thanks for joining us, allows this thing to fit nicely between the ear in the ear tab on this style, your tux are going to be a big deal on This style it's easily tug, everybody have a great day. Thank you. So much for joining me today for a review of the John rhinos classic Preston in the color Palm Springs. Blonde, see you next time on Tesla closet at wake studio, one you you

Sheila Keilty: Oh my gosh, Taz, what great timing! I just got this exact wig from the steals and deals on wigstudio1 last Sunday! I love this wig and I love it and you, and thanks for the comparison to the Kristi. I also liked being able to see all the different ways I could style it etc thanks again! You're amazing! :)

Candace OLeary: Your reviews are always a highlight for my day! I have the Kristi, ordered her when I was newer and didn’t check the rooting, I really prefer a rooted color. But, my Daughter loved the Kristi on me, it is a perfect match to her natural color. She has the most beautiful natural, never colored Blonde Hair.. and so of course no root difference. I feel much better wearing her out now that I have her approval ❤️have a Blessed Weekend Taz

Marlene Fab & Glam Over 50: I LOVE your comparisons, Taz! They are so helpful. I am familiar with Kristen since I've been considering this style for a while so I don't put too much wear on Cameron but I didn't know Kristi. I guess there are lots of similarities between Cameron & Kristi since they're both hand-tied and bob cuts (??). Love your cap at the end! XOXO

suzi t: I’ve watched this at least 3 times now! Loving my Kristen. ❤️ I was really thinking about getting Kristi as a sister style like you talked about but it doesn’t seem to be available in the California Blondes. Im stuck on Laguna Blonde. I’m also considering Cameron but I I’m not sure about how the length compares. I’ve looked for comparison videos for Kristen and Cameron but haven’t found one. Do you have any ideas on those two?

Sandy Ludlow: Hi Taz love this wig. I wanted this after watching your first review. So my son bought Kristen for my Christmas gift, am I so lucky? My colour is 12FS12 Malibu Blond. I tend to lean towards 12FS8 Shaded Praline, but as they was no stock opted for Malibu Blond instead and glad I did. The rooting is not as dark lending to a more natural look. I'm stll experimenting with styling, but having fun to say the least. Although I don't own a Kristi, I prefer the overall look of Kristen. Also, you can't beat Kristen's price - a whole lot of loveliness at an affordable price. I'm going to watch your comparison with Kai now. Tx as always x Sandy

Connie Feltman: Love when you do comparisons on wigs! KRISTEN IN JON RENAU is a beautiful blonde! Love the color and named just right ... Palm Springs Blonde!

Nikki Scott: I’ve always wanted to try “Kristen” ! I have tried it in and loved it and love it gave my hair a style! I have always wore long wigs, so very nervous to get a short one and I think I would want it in salted Carmel, which has red and so does my real hair growing back in from chemo! So it would be realistic looking also! I just don’t know and scared to make the jump! Lol! But love all the comparisons! I still would prefer the Kristen though! Great video Taz! Love all your reviews!!

Angela Burns: Love the sweater! I love the JR California blondes. May need to add this to my wish list as well. I think for my upcoming birthday I need to tell my family I need WS1 gift cards lol!

Faith Vogel: I own this as well. Love the cut - like tPalm Springs Blonde but wish it was just a notch warmer, as it sometimes mimics gray. Still love it - the shaping and density feel a little more glamorous than other bobs.

T Linn: Taz, I love your videos and your sweet, sassy personality. Thank you for all the videos. I have learned so much from you about wigs, wig care and how to Rock a new style. Thanks again!!!

Melanie Simpson: Both gorgeous on you!! I have the Kristi in palm springs blonde and love her! Happy Friday!! xoxo

Wanda Daniels: I just ordered the kristin by jon renau!! It looked do good on u and on sale!! I dont order a wig unless I check with u. I value your input on all wigs. This is my 3rd wig in 2 months that I've bought.Love all of them.❤

Robyn Markowitz: Yes, I love all your comparison videos! I also really enjoy your “Love Your Look” segments where you style for us. Your “hat check” at the end was adorable...you have such a great personality! Thanks, and have a great day!

kk doc: Love that Reneau’s roots are lighter finally!

Valli S: Another beautiful wig. Thanks for the comparisons videos. I love them! I'm just wondering, has there ever been a time when people would ask you if you are wearing a wig?

Jamie Norton: Gosh, you could put a bath mat on your head and look fabulous. Love looking at wigs - new and old, the style comparisons, the level of permatease, colors - makes me excited to wear my wigs and to have more confidence in them. You rock!

Nancy Johnson: I love this style on you , and I love everything you wear! I am going to order Kristen. I have a question, I recently purchased Miss Macchiato in honey chi latte. What color do you feel is similar to the honey chai latte in the Kristen colors available? Thanks

Sandra G. McAlister: Love the Kristen, beautiful wig! Thank you Taz, have a great weekend!!

iamasurvivor2: Hi Taz, On second thought, now that I've seen the Kristen wig, I may order this instead of the Morning Brew. It's so hard for there are so many nice wigs. :-) Take care

Melissa Schultz: Thank you for the video! I have been looking for a bob that had some permatease on top. I have been wearing haute in Malibu Blonde but have been unhappy with it. I think it is too long in the back and the color a bit yellow. I do love that it has light roots though. I plan on ordering Kristen in Palm Springs Blonde!

Wigescape: They both look great on you! Now I want both lol. I am confined to HH wigs right now until I can do more testing to see if I am allergic to the synthetic ones.

Jackie Marsh: This One Is Really Cute Taz!!! Very Natural Looking!! Love The Comparison Sessions Sooo Much!! Thank You my Friend For a Perfect Review as Always!! Love and Hugs!! XOXOXO!!

10TOES: I bought Kristin on sale and love it, my only regret is I should’ve bought two, now I’m on the hunt for another, any blonde color

Faith Bader: The words "Do you own a Kristen? Tell us what you think." just flashed across your review, so I am happy to say that I do. Same as yours - Palm Springs Blonde, and I love mine! It's stunning and there's something very glamorous about the shaping on it which other bobs don't have. It swoops on the right side. So for people who find bobs too plain and business-like, this one has more glam to it. I think it's the shaping. Palm Springs looks beautiful on you Taz, and I have gotten so many compliments esp on the color.

Mary Dawn Pafford: I just got Kristen in the Palm Springs Blonde and love, love it!

Brenda Gregory Yuen: Wow - that blonde is as close to white as you're going to get! I like blondes, and light blondes, but I am not sure this blonde would be something I'd select. Thank you Taz!!!!

suzi t: I had to tell you... I just got this today from Wig studio1. I had purchased the style back several years ago in 12 FS8 and I was never very comfortable with it because the roots were so so dark I didn’t think it looked natural. When I saw this video I started thinking about Kristen again especially noted that you said the lace fronts have improved. This new when I got in Laguna Blonde and it’s gorgeous! The rooting looks so much more natural on me. I love it! Also I purchased it through your link. Thank you for this video I’m really happy that I watched it and I got my new Kristen!!

My Vibe Sierra Bloom: I enjoy very much the comparison videos. Thank you! Palm Springs Blonde is my favorite color from Jon Renau.

sheryl d: I think this is a very pretty style, and the color looks perfect on u!

Julie Robinson: Yes your comparisons of styles and colors are very helpful!

Amy Rutherford-Close: She's pretty- I always wanted straight smooth Bio hair. Now I need to buy a wig to get it. Any hair is good hair!

Holly Kurtz: Oh Taz, this is positively stunning on you!

Autumn Storm: Good morning Taz, You look elegant in this piece. Absolutely gorgeous. I enjoy having my morning coffee with you and the wig loving community. Have an amazingly perfect day and a beautiful blessed weekend . .

My 10xsugar: Love Kristen. And Palm Springs Blonde is gorgeous.

SugarPuffAndFluff: Fabulous darling

Pamela Prescott: Hi Taz love you in Kristen, looks adorable. Your Rockin the ball cap!! Hugs xoxo

Tina Schneider: Hi sweetheart love how you do your comparison wig videos there so helpful

Lisa Moore: Taz, I was wondering if you could recommend or do a video review of some wigs that have bangs? I have a high forehead so I like bangs to conceal it. Stop Traffic by Raquel Welch is my daily work wig, but I would love a different style for the weekend. Thanks!

Melissa Lynn: You're absolutely adorable always.

Shelley Carlson: I am supposed to be getting ready for work but had to take time to watch Taz first!!
