What'S up y'all, it's your girl t, and i am back with another video and in today's video this is going to be a trial and error tutorial on how to resize a wig that is too big. So here is the wig that one of my customers sent to me and um: it's not constructed by me it's constructed by another wii company. However, i am going to resize it for her, because she's a pretty loyal customer, so um there's different ways that this can be resized um. However, one way that we are not going to do is we are not taking this wig apart. The construction is done well uh, but the circumference is like she said it's way too big. So i'm thinking because y'all know me i'll try different things. Now, if you've seen on my instagram, i showed where i would cut some out, and you know pinch it together to you, know, kind of make it smaller. Well. Looking at this, the the rows are kind of closer together and it's not much room to take out space in between each lines. So i'm thinking i'm thinking about doing something different. So again, i have not done this before, but this is something that i am going to do and i'm pretty sure it will work. My client trusts me, so this is what we're about to do about to do it. So what i'm thinking is i'm going to take out a not an entire row, but i'm going to take out, maybe like a v shape, take out part of a row along the side and bring them together like that. So this has to come out. This row has to come out and what i do to one side i have to do to the other, and i think that that will solve the problem of this unit being too big, so um i let's see i was trying to figure out where i wanted To do the um removal of the row, i don't think i want to touch anything up front. I think it's best to take out the row in the back like the area in the back on both sides. Just in case you know if it affect anything, it's the back, so i'm thinking this first row. Let'S see this second row. If i take this second row and pinch it in that should do the job on both sides instead of going all up in the middle. So, let's see your girl is about to do this. Y'All know i'm a daredevil. I will do and try anything uh when it comes to wig making a lot of times. I think very strategically. So i've already thought out a plan before i just go messing around with stuff um, so yeah all right. So i'm looking at that side and looking at this uh the row that i'm gon na take out this side has a little bit more space than this. But that will still be okay. Let me see yeah all right. That'S still gon na be okay, so i have to section off this: you guys are getting me in real life, real life, time um, and if this is a success, y'all can't tell me i'm i'm not good. Like did this work out. I am good. Okay, i'm good because who would have thought would have thought hold on. Let me get some clips. I'M gon na have to like ponytail pin it another. You know get this hair out the way. So, while filming, oh all right. So this is the part i'm gon na take out again, i'm not gon na take out the entire uh row, we're just gon na take out a section so that we can bring the two rows together. Wish me luck all right, let's see once this cut is cut, but one thing about it: i'm gon na always fix my mistake, so i'm gon na cut in here and we're gon na cut over here because again, i'm taking out this part - and i kind of Did like a v-shape, so i took that out. So let me show you what i did v shape so now, i'm going to attach these two back together, like this like so now i already can see before i do that which it did help because it brought it up. But before i do that, i'm going to have to go in and probably backstitch this area, because i don't want this row to start coming out. So i'm going to go in i'm going gon na secure this row and then bring them two together. Okay, so i'm gon na do that to that side and we'll go ahead and cut the other side too, i mean hey. I'Ve already done the damage all right. Let'S move this out the way. Always you know if you're trying something new, don't i don't recommend trying something new on somebody else's wig. Do it on your own wig, or i mean it could be somebody that you trust, but don't go messing up people wigs if you're, not confident or as good as i claim to be so again here i am i'm going at a triangle so that i can Kind of um there we go so i can kind of get that angle, so i can put it back together. So it's going to go back together like that on both sides, which again is going to make it smaller. Okay, all right! So here's the two pieces that i took out: okay, not much now we're going to get into stitching it now for a beginner. It probably would be safe to hand stitch it. First then go under with your machine. You know i don't do anything hand stitching. I just go straight for the machine, but i might i might hand stitch it. I might but right now, let's go ahead and double the um, not double, but let's go ahead and secure the row. That'S been cut so all right, all right. So here's my machine remember this is the row: that's been cut, we're just gon na we got ta, go in and secure that so zigzag stitch and i'm gon na backstitch this a couple of times. So this is nothing nothing special right here. Okay, i went over it a couple of times. Okay, see we have just we didn't do anything. I i didn't put the two rows back together, yet i didn't do these two. I just secured that row so same over here. I got to secure this row because if i don't it's going to slowly come apart, don't try this if you're not an experienced wig maker under the machine, all right okay, so we secured that. So it's not going to come! It'S not going to just it's not going to unravel because we back stitched it and we got it back onto the cap really nice. Now now let's go in and let's do the real deal. I'M going to take this and i'm going to literally take this remember. That'S the row that was there, it's not there anymore. Now we have to secure these two rows together. Just like so um, i need clue, move the hair out of the way as much as possible. There we go okay. I hope you guys can see this because let me tell y'all i've had enough of recording and then realizing nothing was recorded or i didn't get a good view all right here we go putting that on top of each other right under the machine put it down. I hope i got i don't know, i think i got it lined up. Oh, i did okay again down under the machine. Another thing all right: i secured it back now. Another thing is you don't want to go in super far? Okay, you see, i went ahead and i stitched that back together. I can move my clip now and oh, let's bring this back, so you guys can see over here all right. So this side, i stitched that row back together. Okay, i stitched them together with the missing part. I didn't go in deep. You don't want to go in deep, maybe about an inch, so i have to do that with this side. So look at this side. I hope you guys are getting a good view of this and again i've never done this before uh. This is my first time. So here is the wig that was the roll. I literally cut out a piece from the row so that i can make this circumference smaller. You see that i took this out. I don't even know if this was on this side. No, i think it was this either way i took. I took it out because we didn't have enough space to pinch in between, so we took a piece of a roll out so that we can stitch it back together and that's going to make the circumference tighter. Okay. So again we're doing the same thing. Move the hair out the way get some clips. Okay i'll leave that top that top row, i'm leaving that down. Okay, guys, sorry it was a phone call, but all right so anyways we're getting ready to go ahead and stitch this. I got it upside down, but we're going to stitch this because i'm putting it right under my machine zigzag stitch. Remember you don't want to cut too deep in. I just cut a little past the band again, if you don't feel secure doing it like this, you can use um, you can hand stitch it. You can have stitches to secure it first and then go in with your um machine, but i just use my machine and you want to go back and forth a couple of times, because you want to secure that which you don't cut open. You just like you. Don'T cpr? Okay, all right! Let me see. Okay, let's see what we got. I got it secured, but it's always a matter of what the hair doing because sometimes see how my hair got caught on the top. That'S okay, i'm not taking it apart. So i'm just going to take a rat tail comb or a skinny tooth comb and to take those hairs out without altering the wig. You just kind of got to go in little small sections at a time because you don't want the hair sit up when the hair is supposed to go down like that. So i'm getting this hair from underneath the thread but small sections, because if you don't, then it's going to get tangled there you go you just do it until you get all your hair out like so, and your hair should be able to brush right back over It like so okay, and you guys, i think i made this wig smaller now say. If i put it on, i realized i needed to go even smaller, then i would just do the same with another row and what is ultimately, what it's doing is it's bringing your circumference smaller like this okay, so it was big and i i can tell it - Was way bigger, i can tell this: is more secure, fit um, i'm actually going to try it on the seat, because i've tried them before and try not after it's going to be more secure fit and then they have the elastic band as well. But ultimately, we are making the week smaller by doing it pinching the size like this okay, so i hope this video helped y'all. You know i always have the tips and the tricks um when it comes to this wig making stuff - and i don't mind sharing so if it helped you just, please give it a thumbs up, share it with somebody. This could definitely help somebody who has a big wig and think about throwing it away. Um again make sure you following me on my social medias at solid styles by t, and i will see you guys in another video bye, y'all
