Hello, my name is Mark Weiss, I'm a hair and makeup artist here in New York, City and fashion print and entertainment. So my wig clients have asked me: how do I attach my lace front wig using glue? Well, it depends on really what you want to do with it. How long you want to keep it on. There are a couple different glues. You can use one that is a silicone base, which is a liquid tape, which you will use basically for the day or just a couple days. But then there is also one that I like to use a lot, because a lot of my clients are theater people and when you're on stage or on a movie set, you sweat a lot and that will actually kind of dis bond your wig. So I like to use an ultra hold, so the first thing that you want to do is make sure that your wig is on correctly, where it needs to be. You need at least about 1/2 an inch or maybe an inch to your hairline measure where that is and then you're going to take some clips and just clip that back, because you need to get underneath the wig to know where this is going to be. So. As you see, we've made a space and what you will end up doing is this particular glue actually has a brush already in it make sure you don't have any of the little strings hanging down, because if you get that into the hair, that's going to cause A little bit of a yucky thing later so you'll end up having glue in your hair. So what you want to do is know right where that wig line is going to be, and you just want to paint a nice thin line and spread it out of where that wig is going to sit. And once you do that, you want it to sit onto the skin with the glue with the wig back for at least a couple minutes, maybe two or three minutes so that it can actually congeal up and start to get tacky. Otherwise, the glue will go into the lace and you're going to have a really tough time, getting it out of the lace. So once we are done you're going to undo the clip look for where the glue is and then press and you're just going to start pressing that into the glue all around where it is, and that is how you will glue a lace front.
