Diy: Easy Braided Wig/ Very Very Detailed/ Braiding Tutorial / Box Braids

Hey guys, it's your girl the great day today welcome back to my channel. If it's your first time here welcome so as you can see from the title of this video, you guys, i will be showing you how i made this wig. Yes, it's a wig. It'S a braided closure wig, so i'm gon na show you guys how i did this in detail. I'M gon na try to be as detailed as possible. You guys and um before we get into the video. I have another video i'll link it in the description below or somewhere up there up there that i made the same wig, but it's a frontal, but this one here that i'm wearing right now, it's a closure wig for me. I prefer closures because you can just put it on and go with. The frontal you have to you know, do all the glue and all that stuff - and you know i have to protect my edges. So yes, the closure wig works perfect for me. So i'm going to show you guys how i did this and i added a little some beads um to the end and stuff yeah. I'M really feeling this look like. Yes, oh so guys! This is all the stuff that i will be using today. I'M going to start off with my mesh dome cap. You can get this in your local beauty, supply store and um, i'm working with the 21 circumference um canvas head, and so i just put my mesh dome cap on my canvas block head and i'm gon na. Add my closure: it's a used closure. You guys i had an old wig and i just cut it off and i'm gon na reuse the closure, because i can i i the wig. I took it off. I i'm not using that wig anymore. So i'm like you know what i'll just use that closure. So what i'm doing here, i'm just pinning it down with my um t-pins and after that i will be sewing my closure down and you guys, when you're pinning your closure down, always ensure that it's flat on all the way around you don't want it to be. Like all bulgy and all that stuff, because it's not gon na be neat when you're done so what i'm doing here, i'm just sewing it down. I start from the middle and i work my way around to the end, and then i start from the middle again and i work my way around to the other end, and just so you guys know, there's no special way to sew it down, just sew it Down, however, you feel comfortable sewing it down and just ensure that it's secure and that it is flat and once again that it's secure, because you don't want your closure to be lifting off your wig when you're wearing your wig. Okay, that's not cute! So, yes, you guys so, as you can see here, that's what i'm doing! I'M just sewing it down. So all the things that i used in this tutorial, you guys i'm gon na link it in the description below. So you can have an idea of every single thing that i'll be using, because i know in the comment section i'm always getting that question. What are you using? What'S the name of those braids or what's the name of the bees or whatever, so i'm gon na put everything in the description box below. So if you want to know what i'm using, please look in the description box below you guys and another question that i normally get is how many packs of braids do you use. So just so, you know for this wig i used. I bought two packs of jumbo box braids and um. I actually needed an extra pack, but i had additional braids from a previous wig that i did so. I just use it so i would say if you're gon na make this wig grab three packs of jumbo box braids. It'S at the great say i wan na see what your wig is. Gon na look like okay. So now i am done sewing my closure down. As you can see, it's not lifting and it's flat. It'S neatly sewn. So now, i'm gon na add my jumbo box. Braid, it's my crochet box braid and i'm gon na start with. Well, i'm gon na sew it individually to the rest of the mesh dome cap. You guys there's no special way to sew your box braids down, just sew it down and ensure that it's secure and ensure that you knot your thread when you're done sewing, because you do not want your braids to be falling from your wig whenever you're out and About okay, so it's pretty much it's pretty repetitive, i'm just adding the box braids individually to the entire mesh dome cap. So you can just enjoy the rest of this video. I would suggest that you watch the entire video, so you can have an idea of how the box braids are placed on the wig. You know, because you don't want to place the braids too close together, nor you want to place it too far apart right. So, as i mentioned before, just watch the entire video i'll see you guys later down in the video. Whenever i'm doing the closure i'll come back and i'll explain what i'm doing from there do foreign do so, um do so. Let me tell you do do let me keep do do do so now. You guys i'm gon na cut the excess mesh from the cap at the front here. So i'm done adding all the box braids at the back and i'm gon na cut the mesh from the cap. I'M gon na part a section at the front of the closure. That'S my baby hairs! So i'm just wrapping it around the t-pin just to get it out of the way, and so what i'm gon na do now, i'm gon na part my closure in squares. If you want, you can do it in whatever shape you want to do it in it's. Your preference and i'm gon na add elastic um the rubber bands, i'm jamaican, so we'll call it elastic man, but i'm gon na add my rubber bands to the front to the entire area. Pretty much so i'm just gon na part it in squares and i'm gon na put rubber bands around it. Also i'm using um my 27 edge control to secure the section that i'm putting in the rubber band. You know just so that the hair can be flat and neat, so i'm done adding the rubber bands to the closure at the front and what i'm gon na do now. I'M gon na grab my kanekalon hair and i put it in that like rope thingy there, i don't know what you call it, but that's the way how i do it whenever i'm gon na braid and i just braid the extensions in around the rubber bands. You know i put the rubber bands there, because it's just easier whenever you're braiding to do it that way, and it looks neater as well, so i'm gon na braid that right to the end. So this is what the wig looks like you guys when i am done, and i added some beads, you know just to get my wig looking all fancy and stuff and that's what it looks like and that's what the wig looks like when i put it on You guys, like, i, really really really really really love this wig.
