Hey guys welcome back to my channel, so this is my student ID and today we're gon na be doing office brakes on her short hair. I'M pretty much trying to show you guys the length of my hair, but I kind of put my fingers through it. She has natural hair, so there's a bit of a stretch to rate thankfully um. So normally I do not do short hair like because I feel like you know. It causes a great deal of stress on my wrist, so I always try to avoid working on people with short hair, but I had to make an exception for her pores, so yeah, let's get right into this tutorial so for her head, we're gon na be doing Box parts and when I do my box parts I like to create very, very clean parts for the hair. So that way I can kind of create the illusion of the parts and the clean area parts of the neater. You know your braids are going to cook. So you always want to take your time to part the hair, so you can get the most precise parting you. You know you could possibly get now. There are different ways to achieve a clean part. You could either use a rat tail comb, which is what I'm using with very very precise ends, so cut the hair or you could use the African, wouldn't calm and so on and so forth. Now because I hair is short, it's even more important to make sure that you use your clips like metal clips hair clips, whatever you have utilize them, because short hair is a little bit harder to let maintain or control. That'S the word, so you really really have to make sure that you pre part and use your clip. So that way you can get the most precise boxes you can possibly have. As you can see, I apply a little bit of my shine and John, but I always have at the back of my you know, said re. I can apply it onto her hair. Give it a little bit of a tacky texture to make it easier to group her hair, so I've had just a little bit of that and take my little hair clip and clip the hair out of the way. Now the reason I pre part hair before I even go into braiding is because I wanted to have. I want to have the most precise placement for the braids, because sometimes when you're doing box part, if your calculation is off, you have to start all over again. That'S if you care to start all over again what for me I do so. I have to make sure that I pre part so that way I get the hair. I know that the hair is gon na, be seated right here in between it's too great. So that way I can have you know the most beautiful finish, and you know just the most accurate placement for my box braids. That'S why you see me taking time making sure that pre cut the hair before I going to begin the grading process. As you can see, the hair has a little shine gem to it and, like I mentioned it, gives it a tacky texture makes it easier to grip the hair, I'm especially for short hair. The hair is like super super short into your plastic product. That way, it helps you collectively control and collect the hair before braiding. So I started by braiding hair and she liked the three party moving style, I'm gon na add the braiding hair into the middle part of my finger. That'S I found that this is the easiest way to add hair for not less braids without it getting complicated and annoying and not as stressful on my finger. So I did you just place the hair in between my fingers and then continue to braid. So there are different ways to figure out how much hair you want to add. It'S just really up to you now. The way I like to measure mine is the go of the density of the clients hair. So if your hair is thinner or fuller, it's going to determine how many pieces of hair and what size add to your braiding here, because if somebody's hair is thin, you don't want to put too much braiding hair on it because not less braids. It'S literally hanging off of your hair, so you don't want to put too much weight on the person's natural hair. So if your hair is like, on the thinner side, make sure that when you get your Nautilus braids done make sure that the brakes aren't as big in terms of the width of the braid. Do you understand what I'm saying so yeah when you're adding just be very, very careful if somebody has fuller texture of hair, what you would do is, you would add, very little amount, because the hair is already full and you don't want it to get too bulky. Now yeah, you just have to be very, very careful, not let's braids are not the same as regular braids with the knots at the base, literally the concept of it just to break down. You know you get the gist of the whole thing. Is that you're pretty much starting the brains with the person's natural hair and when you start braids or someone's natural hair, you could still break the person's hair. And I say this because with knotless braids, the braids are literally hanging on your hair and if the braids are too heavy, if the attachments or braiding hair that you put on them Britt's process, if it's too heavy, it starts to pull on your hair. Now I had my knowledge, but it's done once in Vegas at a popular salon. Now the braids are really really beautiful gorgeous. However, it hurts because the braiding hair was too heavy on my natural hair and I had to take the braids down quicker, because I knew that I kept it on any longer. If I take down my hair, my hair was gon na break along with the braids. So those are things you have to be careful of. I know Nautilus. Berries are very popular right now and everybody wants them because it's quote unquote safe, but it has to be done properly. If it's not done properly, you can still have breakage. You know you can still have cooling, you can still have all those bad things happen. So you make sure you are you going to the right places and people that actually understand what they're doing not just the techniques go. I they're doing what what they're doing and how it could you know it affects your hair or you know otherwise, so yeah, that's the gist. So I've done this tutorials countless of times so I'm just gon na. Let you guys go ahead and watch I'd, be the the very first, not let's pray, Satori I did. I know a lot of you guys saw that tutorial. I really will break it down for you guys and explained the process. So if you want a more detailed and depth video on that be sure to check out that video on my on my page um like a couple months back five months ago, just kind of scroll it down so yeah. So I hope you guys do enjoy this tutorial, so I'm gon na, let you guys, watch and let you guys get back to me when you're done so when I do this particular braids, because we're going for the goddess look, I did not bring the hair all The way down now, the reason I opted to Judis goddess book without adding any curly hair to the bottom is because I actually intended to use the free tres dip to his hair. To add to the bottom. For this look, but the braiding hair that she brought was the different color from the thickest hair that I had so we ended up no been able to being able to use it, because I didn't want her to look crazy. So what I ended up you know going for was to create the curly hair using the braiding hair, which was a tip that I got from my friend Kara. Thank You Kara. Thank you for the braiding hook up she's, also here styling, so she's like oh yeah. Okay - and I think she did it once so - I asked her about it, um so yeah, so we're gon na be trying today, so I'll show you guys how I was able to get that curliness at the bottom, without the annoying us of having to add a Khloe braid to the bottom, okay, so that's what we're gon na be doing so pay attention. Just all you really have to do is when you get to the bottom of the brace, just don't braid all the way, just braid as far down is where you want. The curly pieces to start, if you were to add curly hair to the braiding hair. So that's the concept that suggests so pay attention to. When I do mine and the chilli don't tie a knot and just let it hang, I just let the braids loose at the bottom, because we're gon na be curling that with some perm rods, not actually no we're not gon na be using perm rods. I forgot so yeah. I left the hair hanging because I'm gon na be twisting the bottom of all the braids I'm gon na show you guys how I do that right now. So what I did was I started collecting the hair at the bottom bit by bit. So, instead of just twisting the whole bottom, I kinda only wanted to twist the parts of the braids that were in left. You know untouched now, because each braids were like different meant. I had to hold it like this to make sure that I'm starting the twist exactly where I wanted the curliness to be. I didn't want to curl the braids itself. I just wanted to curl the bottom of the of the braids, where I did not breathe. So I hadn't hold the hair, and I just said just that bottom part that I did no afraid. Okay, it's very important because you don't want to twist the brains itself cause. Then it starts to look childish. So you only want to twist the bottom of the grades that were feathered and untouched. So when you're done we're gon na be tipping the hair into hot water make sure your clients are properly tripped, make sure you have a towel on hand. So that way, you can rip off the excess water that may follow us on the braids. After dipping, as you can see, I always going with Sprint's after I dip the hair and have tapped off the hot water. I go over it with spritz. So that way the curls can literally stay put now, if you don't put spritz on it after a while, the curls will get looser and you don't want that so adding spaces. For that extra hold. It'S going to be huge and major okay, so you don't have to redo this process all over again. So all I did was just untwist the tricks that I twisted to get the curly look so yeah just untwist, as you can see, because I picked the hair one at a time. The braids are gon na, have a very natural layered. Look at the bottom of the curls. Now, if I were to just like curl all the bottom, without picking it like placing only the curliness, only the left out bottom and twisting it, then all the braids were just being curly at the bottom and it would be super childish and like super, not cute. So because I did that it was able to get that layered curl to make it look like each braids were like individually twisted at the bottom, but you know it was. Nice is cute, so I'm going to be applying some moves onto the hair. Now I was supposed to trim his hair. I started trimming, but you know she had somewhere to be okay, because this process was taking a bit of time. So she has a dip and I just you know, took some hot towel to go over the hair. I tried to trim a little bit. You know, I didn't not not trim. Okay, I did try. I just you know, didn't do a duty or trimming job okay, which don't do that trim with all your heart and mind so as you can see, because I pre parted and did all that stuff. My boxes are literally a image of perfection. Okay, this is what you get when you take your time. This is what you get when you plan for your braids. This is what you get when you are just patience. Okay, so invest time to pre part. You know, structure your boxes before you bring it up from the end. Result is going to be mind-blowing now. This is a process where I get really really annoying for a good five minutes, so I'm gon na, let you guys watch. KiraiBK: These look beautiful. I know people keep commenting on “thinness” and “too much scalp” but they must not have ever had enough hair on their heads to plait without weave. This is what it looks like. I grew my hair long doing plaits with my natural hair, no weave added and this is how my parts look even though I have thick hair. These look good to me and extremely neat.

Sharonn Edwards: She is absolutely beauuuutiful, you did an amazing job on her hair.

SoulfulChaos: This is PERFECT. She has my texture, my current length, AND I CAN SEE how you’re feeding in the hair! Thank you!!!

Sierra Sarai: I love how you're taking time and really ensuring that you're not doing any damage to her natural hair. A lot of stylist don't care about actually maintaining the health of a person's hair anymore, as long as the style is cute & that's a no no for me!

Speak Sakia: So beautiful ! I can only imagine how long this takes, I would need to do these in shifts. But these are so gorgeous!!

Olu Soboyejo: You did a fantastic job with those braids! Loved it.

Brenda Kabanda: I'm going to plait my hair today and I'm doing knotless braids. I loved them when I did them last year. I had far less shading when I took them out.

Carolina Woman NC: Very nice!!!. I do have a question. In one of your videos you did goddess braids and they were absolutely gorgeous and very neat. I had only had my hair braided one time for the first time and I said I would never get my hair braided again mainly because I had a bad experience with them. I got kinky twists about 4 years ago. I only kept them in for a month because they were so tight I kept getting headaches. After seeing your video with the goddess braids I really would like to try those and give braids another try. I just wish u were in my state☺ I would go to you. You do a wonderful job. Can you tell me how much goddess braids start? That style would fit me perfectly. I don't know much about braids my hair is relaxed but I'm in that in between phase where I have about an inch and a half of new growth. Any advice is greatly appreciated. i want to slowly transition my hair to natural without having to do the big chop. Sorry for the long comment. Be blessed beautiful ones and happy holidays

Like this video gave me some hope that it is possible to get knotless braids on short hair. So shocked of hows this style came out. wish me good luck on getting knotless braids.
