Hey guys, it's Rochelle here for the wealthy virologist Channel and I'm back with another video. Now this video will be comparing to contrasting the pros and the cons of Indian vendors vs. Chinese vendors. Now, if you watched any of my other videos, you know that I always talk about sourcing hair from overseas using online sources. Okay, so that is what this video is about. I realize there are also other sources of hair. I also realize there are other sources of hair vendors in Asia, but I'm going to focus on the main two okay, so we're talking about Indian hair and we're talking about Chinese here, we're talking about Indian fenders, talking about Chinese dinners if you're familiar with my channel, Please go through my videos and binge watch them and catch up on the topic of the vendor search. Also, if you are not subscribed, subscribe, hit the bell as well. You know the deal so that you can get Auto notifications for all the videos, as I post them. Okay. So if you watch my channel a little bit, you know a lot of times. I could well not a lot of times, but here and there I've thrown a little shade towards Indian vendors, and this for a, I think, a good reason. Mind you, I'm not saying that you should not source hair from India. I'M not saying that! I'M not saying that you should only use Chinese vendors, but to me I have my preferences just like anything else. Everybody has their preferences right, okay, so, let's get into Indian vendors now the first hair that I ever purchased from overseas was Indian. Here I ordered hair from this company. I think it was called our. It was our something hairs and it was based in India and they deny accept paypal, okay, not accept paypal, um, and it was a really nerve-wracking experience. So when those of you until with you know the possibility of starting businesses and you're nervous about sending hair, I mean ordering hair overseas. I completely understand I've been through that process as well, but this was like in 2005. I think so ended up stopped. Dealing with that company because the consistency of the hair was hit or miss, sometimes you get good bundles. Sometimes you get bad bundles and the bed was out wind be good, so I decided to branch out and leave that company, but at the time actually dabbling with selling hair on eBay back, then it was kind of a fail and it wasn't about the quality of The hair - it was all me - I didn't know what I was doing so, but as far as the hair, it was very pretty um. I think the company still exists for, like I said, the quality was kind of hard, so I wouldn't necessarily recommend that company but, like I said I was nervous and the only reason why I was nervous. Oh, was not nervous, mad nervous to go ahead and order. Well, because there are other women online who had ordered from this company, so I sent my hair. I spent my money through this. They have this escrow kind of service, whether your money sits in limbo and they'll, send the hair out to you and then the hair. The money is released to them and all that now I was new to that process. I had never heard of that I've heard of a escrow before, but I had never heard of that in in the hair world, so that was new to me. I was just like at that point. I had only used beauty supply store hair, so I didn't really. This was new to me and, like I said some other women online, we're doing it. So I was like okay, it got their hair, so I'm uh, you know, take that risk and I got my hair and I ordered from them about about three or four times now you I was ordering kilos back, then I don't know if they offer examples cause Like I said they were, there were some reviews built up on this company, so I that's what I based my you know my decision on the other women who got their hair and they weren't affiliated with the company or anything like that. So I knew they were legit um reviews and they were actually show pictures of the hair and stuff like that. So I took a chance and that's one of the pros of dealing with Indian vendors. A lot of interpreters do not accept paypal, and you know what PayPal nothing's 100 % guaranteed, but for the most part, you at least have some type of recourse. If you don't get your hair or the hair is not as it with this as it was described. On the website, you can file a claim du pape out to get your money back, or at least some of your money, something okay with Western Union with other like money, wiring services that is really popular with a lot of these vendors, your money's gone and I've Heard horror stories: it's never happened to me, but I've heard plenty of horror stories about women sending their money overseas and not getting zip, not getting any anything bank which is trifling. I know, but I don't and it's crazy, it's crazy out here. So the thing is, if you were going to deal with any inventors, do your due diligence do a ton of research. I'M not saying you should not deal with any inventors because, like I said when I got my hair, it was very pretty hair. I had no problem with the hair until after a while, I guess more people found out about it and the quality went kind of downhill, so I decide using them, but for the most part, most hairs that a lot of people getting from overseas in there they're Getting it from a legitimate Indian vendor, like I said in some of my other videos, you need to pay attention to the factory location, because there are Chinese vendors that are selling Indian hair and to me, if I want, and in here I'm going to Indy. If I want Chinese yeah I'll go to China, that's just my opinion. So for me that whole Western Union thing is what I don't deal with Indian vendors, not saying that you shouldn't, but you have to do research now there are. There are also Indian vendors who have a presence in the United States. Now that's something you have to google and figure out for yourself. I don't have any references because, like I said, I don't deal with a lot of Indian vendors, but there are Indian vendors who have connections here in the United States and they have you're gon na pay a little extra. But if you don't like the idea of possibly not getting your hair, you can do some research and see if there are some of Indian based vendors who have locations here in the United States, especially majors. If you live in a major city like New York, California, I'm sure you could find one even Atlanta. I heard there's some in here Lancel, like I said I don't have any reputable connections that I'm I'm feel comfortable giving out to y'all. So, that's why I don't really that's why I don't talk about cuz. I don't have any references for today, but also, if you can go to a trade show some trade shows you have to have licensed some you don't some are open to the public and see if they have any Indian vendors there so that you could sample the Hair and develop a connection and every you know you can actually talk to somebody see what they're talking about sample their hair that way get some bundles from them and sample their hair. That way and then develop a relationship, and that way you can kind of trust them a little bit more. That'S the solution to that we're seein thing, but if you're feeling a little daring, you know you livin on the edge and you wan na try sending out your money to get your samples Western Union to go for it. You know, go for it! Um the women who had those poor experiences - I don't know like like I said, because I've been making up those stories some of them. I think I really believe that they were selling the truth about not getting their hair. So that's something that you have to think about again, I'm not saying that you should not deal with Indian vendors there's someone that here is gorgeous some of that air. It'S amazing, but I want you to do your own research before use and your money via Western Union. Okay, also to me some of their closures and frontals and wigs and stuff to me, the ones that I've seen have left a little bit to be desired like their ventilation and stuff mmm. I'M not really feeling the way their closures and things look Indian vendors. But what I do like about Indian vendors is that their hand, side widths are amazing, so those are some of the best West, the hair that I got from India. Unfortunately, the hair quality was poor after a while, but the West were amazing, so they know how to make some good good West some sturdy sturdy widths. So if you could find a good vendor and the Indian vendor, you will be right on point. We'Re starting your hairlines with Indian hair. Okay, now contrast that with Chinese vendors, Chinese vendors um have been manufacturing hair for a long time. Like I said after I went on the Indian side, I went on over to the Chinese side and I started ordering a lace front wigs. You know um back then lace front, wigs wearing that popular. They have always been around lace front. Wigs and full lace. Lace have always been around, it's just become popular, you know, Tyra Banks and Beyonce. I think made it more popular for the everyday woman, and so more and more people started wearing lace, fronts and full lace, sleeves and things like that and now here in 2018-2019, people are frontal, crazy clothes are crazy. Things have definitely evolves in the lace front, lace, private around now one thing about lace products. In my opinion, Chinese vendors have that game online. They can really when, when you find a better, they can make a good closure. In a frontal. It'S probably gon na be a Chinese company a lot of those vendors, I think they've been producing them for ten years by now, and they know what they're doing they know what their customer base is. Looking for, I think that's the issue. Some of the vendors are kind of out of touch with with what current people want back in the day or, if they're used to only making wigs for stage plays and stuff like that, they're used to making these big closures and then the thick lace front. Hair lines and stuff like that, but the average woman wants something that was natural. They want something that looks real and they don't want to do all their plucking and stuff like that. So I think that's why some of these vendors are behind the game with Indian vendors or kind of behind the closure frontal game, but a lot of the Chinese vendors have their own lines. They can make the hair lines. Look really really good. At this point, like I say, because we have more discerning taste now and they know how to adapt and replicate. That'S one thing: that's the major major Pro for Chinese vendors. If you show them a type of hair that you want replicated some body wave hair. Some waterway from Spanish baby, if they're good vendor they can make that happen for you. So that's a definite Pro of dealing with Chinese vendors. In my opinion, and that's why a lot of times I choose to do with Chinese vendors versus Indian vendors, because sometimes they're little they're, a little kind of behind the times when it comes to the trendy, looks that we're looking for you know the different wave patterns And stuff that we, especially as black women, that we like to wear so the Chinese vendors are well aware. A lot of them are on YouTube, a lot of them watch our videos and they want us to do reviews and stuff of their hair. So I know they know they were well versed on making lace, fronts and lace front, wigs and stuff like that. So if you're trying to source that, I would suggest you try to go with the Chinese vendor. I know there is an aversion to getting stuff made in China, but most of our products that we trust every day. Correct me if I'm wrong, but Nike, I think it's made. Excuse me, I believe it's made in China uh Apple products. I believe I could be wrong, I believe they're made in China. If I'm not, if I'm not mistaken, all those products are made in China. Now there are some inferior products, I'm sure you watch car chargers, you've bought different things. I mean knockoff purses and fake Gucci bags and belts and stuff all that stuff painted trying to do so. I get why people have an aversion to Chinese made products, but I'm trying to tell you that I keep saying this over and over again, a lot of the hair that we are wearing is Chinese hair. Some of the hair that is labeled Indian here is Chinese. Here so, if you're on Alibaba you're on DHgate, you want to make sure you're, looking at your your manufacturers of their location, make sure if it says cubed on China or how you pronounce that and they say Indian and it's not Indian hair. You guys, like it's, not Brazilian hair and stop proving here. Okay, so that's the downside also to deal with some of these Chinese vendors. Is they get a little too crazy with the replication? Okay, they start saying they have Brazilian hair and again all this stuff. So some of these vendors do sell inferior products and they use other people's pictures. They use celebrity photos to promote their here and it's not there here. So that's another and, like I always talked about in my other videos, the vetting process. Unfortunately, with these Chinese members, you definitely have to have your fitting prices unlocked because they try to replicate everything. That'S the major con of dealing with Chinese vendors, okay um a lot of them like I said they follow all our trends. They watching our music videos they're watching our celebrities, so it's something really really popular is coming out. They'Re replicating it okay case in point, I'm sure you've seen the the Nicki Minaj a video where she's with Takashi. She has this, like fur kind of I forget what designer that is, but she has this fur. It looks like a fanny pack. It'S made out of fur. I can't remember the name of the designer, but I was in a beauty supply store yesterday day before yesterday. Yes, I still shop at a beauty supply store. I'M trying to do a beauty supply store a fan, okay, um, because I spent too much time and there's others going there and look, but anyway they had those kind of fanny packs what they had. It was a fanny pack, I don't know if what she has on as a fanny pack, but y'all know what I mean that burgundy, it looks like a fur that she had looks like a fur fanny pack. They had every color of the rainbow in a beauty, supply store and that video has been out for a month now, so they pay attention to everything. They replicate everything if we, if we did a social experiment and we started making up names for hair for our sales. I guarantee you in a month on Aliexpress. They want to start naming their hair there. Okay, so that's the major kind of doing Chinese vendors. Okay, but, like I said the majority of hair that you are purchasing from overseas is a Chinese hair. Okay, the majority of the companies are Chinese, so you need to know how to navigate around that. Okay, around all those, you know fake names that they're coming up with to UM name their hair and there are still legitimate Chinese vendors out there. You just have to look for them, okay, and you have to know what you're looking for. So that's a major Pro. A pro like, I said, if they can replicate, if you find a good vendor, they can replicate things, but also the bad vendors are naming their products or stealing celebrity photos, and things like that, so you can use that to narrow your search down. So if you see a vendor that is constantly using celebrity photos, that's a vendor that you would not use okay, instead of getting overwhelmed by all the names just phase out those vendors that are using too many names like there's, no way that you can have a Virgin hair jheri curl Peruvian in Mongolian hair in the same listing on Ali Alibaba, calm, there's no way so you just phase that out and set up contact. You would not contact their vendor. Okay, you would just ignore them and move on okay, you do not. When I talk about contact and finish, you do not contact every single vendor. You see: okay, yeah, I'm a vetting process when you're contacting these Chinese vendors. Okay, so, like I said with the Indian vendors, my major con with them is that they do not accept the Western Union, the Pro with Chinese vendors. Is they do they? Well, they only Indian Venters only accept Western Union or bank transfer. Chinese vendors do accept paypal. So that is the prep okay. Hopefully you get what I'm saying. So that's a major Pro. That'S another reason why I choose to do with certain vendors because they offer PayPal and, as you know, you have a little recourse. If you don't get your product or something happens with your product, you can get your money back like I say you file a claim with PayPal and contact them and regards to get your money back. Okay, now I've never had an experience with a Chinese vendor where I did not keep my hair. I always got my hair now. I'Ve had experiences with Chinese funders where the hair was crappy. I'M not gon na act like all the hair that I order is perfect and you know I sample vendors all the time and there are some vendors out there that do sell, still sell quality, hair okay, but there are some that do not sell. Probably here so you have to go through this. I'M begging my Indian vendors as well. They have you know, vendors, that are stealing photos and all that, if you want to, if you're, if you're, trying to find an Indian vendor just right click on the picture and do a google search and if that photo shows up on another website, typically they're. Stealing pictures, if that what other website is not affiliated with them, those are stolen pictures, so there are anti vendors who are stealing photos as well. Now also there's this there's this misconception - that Indian vendors are better than Chinese vendors because who the hair is coming from a temple. It doesn't mean that it's quality hair, it just still be crappy hair. You know just because you think it came from a temple all this hair and think about it. All this hair is not coming from temples. Some of this hair is just coming from regular manufacturing plants in India, so you need to take those misconceptions out of the vendor search and just keep in mind that we're contacting businesses don't allow this whole. You know mysticism of Indian hair, you know, get you wrapped up and get you ordering some crappy hair. Okay, um. I had a comment and I don't mind comments, but I really want people to understand the person commented and said well y'all deal with these Chinese vendors. These what'd, he say he said they were like scammers Chinese cameras on Alibaba calm. You need to get a no, no, he said they were all brokers. All the Chinese companies were contacting brokers and you need to get with the temple here in India and I'm like. We don't have you and eyes, and I have access to the temple hair straight out. If you, even if you went to India, you can't just walk up to the manufacturers and say hey, I want a kilo of hair. You have to have a representative. You would have to have some type of connection to go to these these areas. Then I'm just gon na, let you walk up in there and just start getting hair for your businesses. There'S a process today so again get out of that mindset that Indian hair is better than Chinese hair, they're, all Asian people. You know yes, there's different ethnic groups, but at the end of the day you know most people. I would say this: most people don't know the difference anyway, and I'm not telling you to be dishonest with your customers, but I'm just being honest. Most people don't know the difference if you've been wearing beauty supplies. So this is a no shaving so compensate if you do wearing beautify for hair all your life, and I chose you a bundle of Indian hair and a bundle of Chinese here. Some a lot of people would not know the difference. I can show you, I'm gon na do an experiment one day and I'm not gon na. Tell you any different. I'M gon na just show up on film with some hair and I'm gon na. Ask you what is which hair is where here I'm asking synthetic hair, I'm gon na have some Indian here we have some Chinese hair different here from different regions of Asia and I'm going to show it on film and I'm gon na. Ask you guys to pick out what hair is play? Okay, I'm a zoom in so you can really see the hair, so you can choose what is with it. Okay, I'm gon na. Do that experiment, one out! I'M not! I don't know when okay, but I'm gon na, do it, so you can see for yourself that a lot of people really don't know. At the end of the day, you need to focus on what your customer base is actually going to wear and what they were requesting. Also, you need to pay attention to your budget cuz some because Indian hair is so popular Loui be there. Sometimes it tends to be more expensive, then Chinese, hair, okay, so keep that in mind as well when you're budgeting for your businesses and that's not straight across the board. Of course, you know if you put four here, you know prices range, but at the end of the day, do it do what best suits your business? Okay, don't get caught up in trends. Don'T get caught up in all that because you can find some really good vendors from either company or either either region of Asia or you could decide you want to sell both. So it's up to you if you're doing the DIY and you're trying to find your own vendor, you got ta weigh the options for what's best for your business. Okay, so hopefully I wasn't rambling. I know I did a little rambling. I can't help it, but I just wanted to talk about the differences between the different types of vendors and so that you can kind of make a decision for yourself what type of vendors and who work for your your business online. Yours, okay, keep in mind, you don't want it's gon na deal with these customers. Not me so I'll talk to you guys later in another video, okay, bye,

Landa Smith: Great video Rochelle, if possible can you go over packaging. As far as it being all glitz & glam is that a must I’m a sucker for gorgeous packaging but that doesn’t mean everyone else is. and which is best for wigs boxes or bags
